“Thank God” Book Tag
@lovelylittlebookwyrm tagged me in this, thank you so much doll. DISCLAIMER: this is just a tag, and when referring to God this is whichever God you believe in (or don’t).
Thank God I read this - Name a book that changed your life.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer; Honestly I loved the Twilight Saga when I was growing up. I was teased in middle school and the only true escape I had away from the drama was Twilight. This saga gave me the escape I needed as a tween. Also, if it wasn’t for Twilight, I wouldn’t have gotten into the YA genre.
Thank God this wasn’t in public - Name a book you’re glad you read it at home.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green; When I decided to pick up this book, I was recovering from a stomach flu during winter vacation my freshman year of college. I am so glad I read this at home, not only due to the obvious (being sick and all) but I was crying and yelling and literally threw the book across the room.
Thank God there are Tissues - A Book that turned you into a crying mess.
It’s a tie between The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini; Both of these books hit me in the feels. I really do enjoy reading books centered around mental health (because I am a psychology major and soon to be psychologist lol).
Thank God I don’t have to reread this - Name a book you didn’t like.
Shall we talk about books assigned from school or just books I read for fun? For school, I am SO GLAD I don’t have to read The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck; that book was just so bland. I understand the reasoning as to why it is considered a classic but I was struggling. I retained NOTHING. Now about books I read for “fun,” I do not want to reread The Whispers of the Fallen by J.D. Netto. SO! I got the first 2 books at BookCon 2 years ago and met the author (who was really sweet and was very excited about his books). I was so excited about the premise of the story that I was let down so much once I read it. I rated it a 3.0 out of 5.0 on Goodreads because, as I said, the plot sounded SO GOOD and the story was not executed well, in my opinion. I don’t think I will finish the trilogy.
Thank God it’s fiction - Name a Book character you would never want to meet in real life.
Tamlin from the A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy by Sarah J. Maas; that mofo deserves a good ol’ kick in the balls, IF HE HAD SOME. I cannot say more for risk of spoilers but he was just so emotionally abusive it’s disgusting.
Thank God I’m (not) single - Name 3 Characters you would totally want to date.
Well friends, since I am bisexual let’s look at men AND women!
Richard Gansey III from The Raven Cycle by Maggie Siefvater
Adrian Ivashkov from the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead
Isabelle Lightwood from The Shadowhunter Chronicles: The Mortal Instruments and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare
BONUS: Alice Cullen from the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (my original crush)
Thank God for friends - If this book was a human, it would be your best friend.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell; Because Cath is me and my best friend put together.
Thank God for editing - Name a book you’d like to rewrite.
The Fallen series by Lauren Kate; this series had SO MUCH POTENTIAL! But no, it was like an angel version of twilight and I was starting to get sick and tired of these YA books that mirrored Twilight. I would’ve rewritten the ending so hard. The last book was such a let down for me.
Thank God for the Community -Tag someone.
@stephylalala @cityofeverything @awkwardwizard @shitslytherinssay and anyone else who would like to do it!

Inside Out Book Tag
Nobody tagged me, but when I saw this I HAD to do it!!
Joy - A book that made you happy or that made you laugh
Beauty Queens. I LOVE this book, it’s hilarious and poignant. The girls are fantastic and I was constantly laughing. I really wish Libba Bray would write more contemporary YA novels.
Sadness - A book that made you really sad or that broke your heart
Off the top of my head Hero by Perry Moore, which I never see talked about on Tumblr even though it’s fantastic. There are reasons why the book broke my heart but what is truly sad is that Perry Moore died </3 RIP
Fear - A book that made you scared or nervous
Mockingjay, after everything Katniss had been put through I worried about what would happen to her. Also Peeta and Finick.
Disgust- A book you started to read and it disgusted you so much (or lost interest) that you had to stop
I can’t think of one but adixiebelle and I were recently talking about the character Derry and I have never been so disgusted by a character as him. Rereading it after so many years was a completely different experience.
Fury- A book or character that made you rage
Looking For Alaska. The character of Pudge made me furious the last time I reread it. I do like John Green’s writing though, and I enjoyed everything else.
*Bonus* Bing Bong- A book that you love from your childhood or the one that made you love reading
My mum always used to read me 5 Minutes bunny tales and I adored anything by Dick King Smith, especially the Sophie books and Lady Daisy.
So partley why I wanted to do this was so I could tag some of my favourite booklrs: adixiebelle tessalivesandbreathesbooks gemmatleslie bookishgirlthings cityofeverything staringatmybooks whimsey225 booksandrandomness

I should do something productive... Like. Comb my hair. Or out on foundation. Or read the book I'm putting off because it's the last of my favorite series. Or just go home and finish the rest of dexter in one night. Yea that one. That one wins.

I was actually tagged (I don’t know if this was the title lol)
Rule 1. Write down rules. Rule2. Answer the questions from the person who tagged you. Rule 3. Make up ten new questions and tag 10 people.
I was tagged by booklyn-jpg
1. What’s your favorite book?
This always changes but at the moment it’s Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
2. Do you like people who correct your grammar?
If I ask them too, I don’t like it when people correct it when you’ve obviously made a typo or it’s a silly post. There’s a lot of people on Facebook (specifically facebook for some reason) who have terrible grammar but I wouldn’t say anything because it says more about you than them if you say something. That said I do always cringe a lil’ over your/you’re their/there/they’re lol
3. Elsa or Anna?
Ummmmmm Anna, I love a good prom style dress but I wouldn’t wanna wear it all the time
4. Out of the whole world, where do you wanna go right now?
Pottery cafe with adixiebelle - and would you look at that, I’m about to! (also rabbit island, I SUPER wanna go there!!)
5. What’s your first language?
My one and only is English but I can say a little French and German
6. Are you taller than 5'5"?
Possibly, I can never remember if I’m 5′” or 5′6″ 7. What comes to mind when you hear the number 7?
LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN (it is not incidentally my lucky number)
8. Favorite band?
Steps and Scissor Sisters 9. What’s something you’d die for?
Well someone would be friends and family. I’d probably die for most children as well like if I saw one standing in front of a bus but I guess you don’t know until it happens.
10. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I used to say I’d want to fly but I now maybe I’d want super speed because as we’ve learnt recently with super speed you can also time travel!
My 10 questions:
Favourite song when you’re happy?
Toys you liked to play with when you were little?
Last movie you saw at the cinema?
Zombies or Unicorns?
Favourite quote from a book?
Favourite Disney movie?
If you were a My Little Pony what would be your cutie mark?
What would be your favourite thing about your dream house?
Ducks or Rabbits?
Favourite female solo artist?

Tagged by read-and-escape-reality
Rule 1: Always post the rules
Rule 2: Answer all the questions the person who tagged you asked and then write 11 new ones
Rule 3: Tag 11 people and link them to the post
Rule 4: Actually tell them you tagged them.
What’s your favorite book to film/tv show adaptation? I would have to say that Divergent, The Hunger Games and Vampire Academy are my favorite movies. I don't really have favorite book-to-tv shows, other than Game of Thrones...I haven't read the books yet though...
Least favorite adaptation?  Vampire Diaries, True Blood, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (this does not mean I did not enjoy them, they're just not my favorite)
What book are you reading now and what do you think of it so far?  Currently reading The Death Cure (The Maze Runner #3) by James Dashner. I love it, I'm so sad that I'm almost finished with the trilogy. I love Thomas and his story, and his struggle. Now I cannot wait for The Maze Runner movie in September!!
What book from your childhood will you never tire of reading?  I love A Series of Unfortunate Events and also, I grew up reading Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. I never tire of them. Oh and the Twilight Saga always makes me laugh lol.
Are there any books that you think should be adapted to film/tv?  I think Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell would be a fun tv show. And I would love to see The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer become an epic movie series!!
What’s your favorite quote and why?  "Doubt thou the stars are fire, doubt thou the sun doth move, doubt truth to be a liar, but never doubt I love" Hamlet - William Shakespeare I love this quote because even though everyone thinks Hamlet is a liar, and a fool, he still tells Ophelia that he still loves her and still has the capability to love. You may doubt everything I say, but you can never say that I cannot love!
If you could read a book again but with fresh eyes (as if it were the first time reading it again), what book would it be?  Probably the Twilight Saga. I want to know if it really is as bad as I would anticipate for the advanced reader I am today.
Do you have an e-reader? If so, do you enjoy it and what kind? If not, do you like them/want one?  I had a kindle, but my mother needed it more than I did. But I do use my iPad as an e-reader every now and then when I'm reading books on my bestie's account...love ya klarolinedrabbles ;D
What is your favorite genre?  I love realistic teen fiction, paranormal fiction, and vampire books...I love vampires lol.
What is your favorite non-human literary character?  Vampires!! I love the different ideals authors take with the supernatural creature. Some can fly, some can manipulate minds, some have hyperactive senses, some are handsome, and some are ugly.
Quick! Pick the closest book to you, go to page 130 and write the fourth sentence on the page!  The Death Cure by James Dashner; pg. 130, fourth sentence: "Thomas turned to face him, held the knife up."
NEW QUESTIONS!!:
Who is your favorite author and why?
What was the first book you remember picking up by yourself?
Which book/series do you feel is overrated and why?
What was the last book you read?
(From ques. 4) Did you like that book? Why or why not?
Which book on your bookshelf (either physical or ebook) has a cover with your favorite color on it?
What was the most confusing book you've ever read?
What is your favorite snack to eat while reading?
Who is your number one person who give book recommendations to?
How do you deal with the "book feels" after finishing a good book?
Have you ever given up on a book/series? Why?
I TAG!!:
