I missed that you were playing a game ... Are you still playing? If so: Britta Perry and Peter Grant (Rivers of London) please :)
Sure!
@catty-words also asked for Britta Perry so I'll tag her here. :)
do I like them: She is the best, and I love her. 5 good qualities: She cares so much about the things she cares about! She TRIES so friggin' hard!! She unashamedly loves cats. She is awake to the possibilities of how cute a frog would be in a tiny hat. She really does want to help the world, even if she goes about it inexpertly. 3 bad qualities: She can be self-righteous, she's sometimes rather hypocritical, she gets down on herself very easily. favourite episode/etc: I don't think I have a favorite episode for her, really. Her dedication to unsexy Halloween costumes, her constant reminders that she once lived in New York, her idiosyncratic pronunciation of 'baggle': all great. otp: Britta/realizing she's not the worst, Britta/finding a fulfilling career...*whispers* Britta/Frankie brotp: MY KINGDOM FOR A SHOW WHERE ANNIE AND BRITTA WERE ACTUALLY FRIENDS. The sister dynamic was right there and they so rarely took advantage of it. ot3: honestly, I can see the appeal of Troy/Abed/Britta, though I don't think it'd last as a romantic triad. notp: Hmm, Jeff/Britta, I guess? I don't feel as strongly about these characters as I once did, but I vaguely remember feeling like that ship was the woooorst. best quote: "First of all, together, my cats can do anything." "I know what [an analogy] is! It's like a thought with another thought's hat on." "I don't even believe in God, but I looove me some Abed." headcanon: She knitted a baby blanket for Ben Bennett. Shirley was honestly gobsmacked and really touched.
Peter Grant of the Rivers of London book series, let's see...
do I like them: Love him. 5 good qualities: He's curious about how things work, he's brave, he really wants to help people, he's willing to question authority, and he notices people and remembers them. 3 bad qualities: He can be impetuous, he sometimes doesn't know when to take no for an answer, his curiousity might get him killed one of these days. favourite episode/etc: I really like all the parts of the series where Peter is hanging out with his young cousin, Abigail. It says good things about him that he's willing to take an annoying teenager under his wing. otp: I don't have one, honestly. This is a series I'm perfectly happy to just read and enjoy as it comes. brotp: Peter and Nightingale, Peter and Molly ot3: nah notp: ? best quote: I honestly have no idea. headcanon: None.
Thanks, Stacey and Corissa! :)
give me a character and I’ll answer

Get to know the blogger: Last song you listened to? Show you're currently watching?
i'm not really watching anything regularly these days. i am literally, right now, watching bones because it's on TV and everything is closed for the holiday today. i haven't watched it in years.
uhhh... the last song i actually listened to is this sort of awful croatian song from the 80s, sve bi seke ljubile mornare. the last one in english is you've lost that lovin' feeling (the hall & oates version), so it's not much better. i have no excuses for either of these.

Troy or Abed? Nathaniel Plimpton or Greg Serrano? (If you don't mind more lol)
Make me choose
1. Oof a tough one! Hm… Abed. He plays a really important role in the show and for all of the other characters, I think.
2. Nathaniel… I’ve never ever liked Greg and I dislike New!Greg even more, ha!

15 - 17 - 27 - 28 - 30 GO!!
15. favourite fall activity?
Take out coffee and walking in the leaves :)
17. favourite fall outfit?
My outfits don’t change much in fall (hence why summer is quite painful) but I do finally get to add a scarf to every outfit! I recently brought one with a print of the Marauder’s map from HP which I love!
27. zombies or vampires?
Vampires, zombies are the lamest #teamunicorn
28. scarves or hats?
Scarves! It also means I get to use this gif (because I say so!)
30. favourite thing about fall?
There are so many things I love about autumn but the thing I love above all other things is that it is the longest possible time until Summer!

@adixiebelle replied to your post “Is Rebecca Bunch not a Maladaptive Daydreamer tho???”
Interesting point. I hadn't thought of this but when I read it I was like 'she totally is'.
Ooh, glad you agree! The scene that made me think this was the one where “she said goodbye to Greg” in her old apartment. I could.... kind.... of relate to how she tried to deal with it? I wouldn’t know if the musical numbers really class a MADD, though. I don’t know of any examples of anyone actually imagining music, rather than using music to imagine stuff (like, in the background as a soundtrack/mood creator).
#replies#adixiebelle#also by relate i just mean like#attempting to shut it off#i've never madd'd about anyone i know irl lmao#madd#maladaptive daydreaming

I'm even more intrigued about your URL now :) What's the story? (If you don't mind sharing)
no i don’t mind at all. it’s actually a reference to old dw and the fifth doctor. imo, he made a very poor fashion choice in wearing a piece of celery on his lapel. but it was the 80s after all.
it’s been a running joke in my family for years. when we rewatch old episodes we always comment on the celery. for some reason celery lapel popped into my head when i was creating my ao3 account, and although i was writing for community and it didn’t really make any sense, it sounded so lovely to my ears i had to use it. i kept it for this blog for consistency purposes.
reminds me of drew barrymore’s comment in donnie darko about the phrase cellar door being the most pleasing in the english language. i strangely agree. something about cel…

1998. 2007.
Apparently 1998 was a very good year for movies. I have narrowed it down to two lists of three:
Top 3 animated movies of 1998:
Mulan. Classic. Iconic. WHEN WILL MY REFLECTION SHOW WHO I AM INSIDE? Dishonor on YOU, dishonor on your COW...
The Prince of Egypt. The entire movie is wonderful but I’d put it on this list solely for the scene where the Red Sea is parted and as the Israelites walk across the sea bed, flashes of lightning show whale sharks in the water.
A Bug’s Life. Even though I was 23 when this movie was released, I saw it multiple times at the theater. I own it on VHS and DVD and am always up for a rewatch. Also, “Those puny little ants outnumber us! They ever figure that out, there goes our way of life. It’s not about food, it’s about keeping those ants in line.”
Top 3 non-animated movies of 1998:
The Wedding Singer. I was SO HYPED for this movie when it came out, and I don’t even know exactly why. I was definitely a Drew Barrymore fan, but I wasn’t particularly a fan of Adam Sandler. I think it must have been the fact that it was set in the 80s (my childhood!) and the music. In any case, I love this movie an unreasonable amount and it’s largely thanks to Drew Barrymore’s face and Adam Sandler’s surprising sweetness as Robbie.
You’ve Got Mail. Another movie I was extremely excited about, partly because I loved Sleepless in Seattle, and partly because I loved the Jimmy Stewart movie The Shop Around the Corner, which is based on the same play (also the Judy Garland movie musical In the Good Old Summertime, and the Broadway musical She Loves Me), Parfumerie by Miklós László. It’s kind of fascinating how quickly watching it felt like the haziest sort of nostalgia, though, given how quickly the internet changes.
Sliding Doors. I watched this movie not long ago for the first time in years, and was surprised at how well it had aged. I think a lot of it is due to John Hannah’s easy charm and his chemistry with Gwyneth Paltrow. And I’m a sucker for a romcom with any kind of magical or timey-wimey aspect to it, as you know. :D
(I’m already totally breaking the rules, so honorable mention goes to Ever After and Practical Magic, because I could not leave them off the list! Ever After is my favorite Cinderella adaptation for so many reasons, Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Huston being two of the biggest. And Practical Magic has MANY witches and cute kiddos, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman being bickery sisters who don’t always get each other but who love each other, Aidan Quinn at his dreamiest and Goran Visnjic being creepy and hot, and a truly excellent kiss.)
(And a second honorable mention goes to the sci-fi movie Dark City for being so weird and fascinating and good. Okay, I’m done!)
and
There were a lot of movies in 2007 I’ve heard of but never seen, probably because I had a 3-year-old at the time. :P But here we go:
Top 3 movies of 2007:
Enchanted. Instant classic. Still love it. Deeply excited to learn that there is a sequel in pre-production.
Hairspray. The music is fantastic, of course, and I loved the original 1988 John Waters film. But I think a lot of the reason I love this version so much is because of Zac Efron’s expression of affectionate delight every time he looks at Tracey Turnblad. Well-done, sir.
Stardust. This movie is ridiculous and wonderful and it makes me happy to watch it.
Thanks, Stacey! :)
send me a year and i’ll pick my top 3 movies from that year
