Manor Lord

Manor Lord is a hard game. This game is equivalent to Frost Punk but in medieval times. This game is so difficult because you are basically a king or queen who rules a certain region on the map. At the beginning when setting up your game just the way you like it. You have a place to pick your end goal also and this will allow you to choose from growth, conquest, domination or none. You can also pick your game difficulty which is nice so you can make it relaxing or challenging.

I had to restart like 5 times because everyone kept leaving and dying and it was just difficult because I was put buildings out to be build but no one was building them and everything ruined and they ran out of food. Because of this I had to study the game while playing it and I learned that you have to do the food first like the hunting and then the wood working, then the rest of it and this will allow you to build up. You also have to create storages so the weather doesn’t mess with your stuff and the bandits do not take your stuff either.

If you assign all the families out to work in the town, then you will not have anyone to build your stuff so you are doing to un-assign people so that the town and building can be constructed.

After awhile you will start seeing other soldiers from other regions marching across your fields but they usually do not bother your stuff.

Cities: Skylines Game Journal

A few days ago I played Cities: Skylines while high again.

I this session I spent a fair amount of time tweaking the lights at this intersection that goes into the new development area as there were a lot of backed up cars. I didn't do all the tweaking at once, I started by making some changes then leaving it for a little bit to work on something else in the city then coming back to it.

I continued building the new development area and ended up zoning a lot of it with high density housing. I was initially planning on having them be low density housing, but I was actively losing money and need a sharp increase in income.

I also started rezoning some of the houses along the main street through the city for the same reasons.

After dealing with my money crisis, I started building an industrial zone to get some manufacturing of goods going in the city.

Things I plan on doing next time:

Adding the two junctions either side of the highway to the timed traffic lights as there are still traffic problems here.

Building a Solar Updraft Tower somewhere as I need more electricity somewhere.

Creating districts to better organise and refer to different areas.

Expand the Yuelarbah National Park over the highway and down to the beach with pathways.

Buy this piece of land to prepare for building a CBD.

Create a transport hub and get the tram line finished and get trams up and running.

Cities: Skylines Game Journal

Today I played Cities: Skylines while high again.

I started by settings up all the roundabouts and traffic light junctions that the tram line goes through to have the correct junction set ups, as well as making all the other three way traffic lights more efficient.

I then built a bridge going over the highway I had lowered to make way for more residential.

I made a start on building more residential. When I was building this new area I had a bug where newly placed roads and newly built houses didn't unload the trees in their ways so I had to go and bulldoze all of them.

After building this small stretch of residential, I went and fiddled with junctions and learning how to use the Intersection Making Tool and Node Controller Renewal mods.
