Doing Natlan quest right now and honestly I really hoped these characters would be better

and the fact that nobody requests them makes me feel like I'm not the only one who thinks that xD (for example, the second fontaine was out I had requests with Fontaine characters- okay maybe not exactly but it's been a LOOONG while and I'm yet to see someone from natlan in my inbox)

Of all my genshin headcanons, this might be the one my community decided to witness. It’s kinda hilarious.

Long story short, yes. This community is attached to Kaulani and despite writing what I like, I too also enjoy people hitting the like button so not making them a package deal was out of the question. It’s just coincidence that I already set a precedence for this type of relationship.

If Mualani x Kinich wasn’t such a big ship, I probably would’ve folded and you all would’ve seen the fastest clear on polycule. As it stands, there’s technically room. No one is really jumping at me though. There’s Citlali brain rot but that’s a personal issue until otherwise.

Haven’t met Ifa yet, and yet somehow deep in my brain I feel like that dude might be kissing Ororon. I don’t know why i think this, but I feel like design will either cement the idea or not.😂

I will admit though it is pretty funny to think about how Mualani succeeded where Nilou failed, and that’s getting two dendro boyfriends.

more thoughts below the cut bc there will be some... frustrations-

so hyped for lantern rite (including that 3 second glimpse of baizhu which is probably all we're going to get-), so hyped for the conclusion of the archon quest (pyro traveller better be fucking worth this wait, hoyo, especially for someone who cannot get natlan characters other than fckn kachina for the foreseeable future).

i still hate the motorbike. pls understand, i don't hate the concept of it, i just hate that it's just... a motorbike. a modern ass looking motorbike & the fact that it's all just fanservice in the first place. if you like it, that's fine, but it's not my taste. i also don't like chasca riding around on a gun either. it all feels a little too hsr and a little less genshin for me, that's all. i'm also rolling my eyes at citlali riding around on plushies bc.... really hoyo? really? idk guys i'm just really not feeling these design choices in natlan. and i want to be clear: it's not that they're more technological or modern-adjacent that bothers me (except the bike, bc... idk i just think it's too modern looking), it's just that i don't think it fits with the world around it. i'm happy for people to disagree with me but i stand firm on that opinion. some degree of tech is already established in the world (fontaine has meka, sumeru basically had the internet, etc) but it still feels in keeping with the region and the world as a whole. and yes, yes, i know, fake sky blah blah but it just takes me out of the world a little when there's a fckn flying gun and a superpowered motorbike kicking around. in comparison, kachina's little drill works great with the world around it - mualani's surfboard, kinich's grappling hook, these all fit well. i just think the later movement mechanics are getting silly, idk.

can confirm hoyo hates cryo characters bc i feel like only character collectors and people who really like her (why? FDKLNH sorry, i'm salty-) will pull for citlali when the archon is right there. but hey, they're giving us shenhe i guess so......

which leads me onto: hoyo if i have to wait three years for a fontaine chronicled wish to get a wrio rerun i'm gonna fucking quit the game i stg. i'm glad you've loosened the restrictions but please for the love of everything just listen to your fans and give him back to us. i already knew you were rerunning two more fontaine characters before him so i'm not as angry as i would normally be upon the reveal, but seriously, give him back to us soon. you finally gave us shenhe back, now it's wrio's turn. please. what's next? rerunning fucking emilie before wrio? don't do that to us

i went through like... the five stages of grief when i realised lan yan would be in the free 4* selector for lantern rite, bc on the one hand: yay i can actually get a new character instead of sitting here staring at banners i can't pull on; but on the other: i've only just finished collecting ascension resources for all my existing characters and now i'm gonna have to farm for a new one- (this is obviously not serious, it won't take long to farm for one character)

who wants to take bets on how quickly i forget that bosses will respawn instantly and get jumpscared by one-

ifa. ifa. listen i'm already clearing a spot for him on my roster (you're welcome, myrd). give him to me now, hoyo. (also from those silhouettes......... really, hoyo, please give us some more male characters soon. i know they probably don't sell as well but please.... balance it out a little more, i beg you.)
