Even once she's adjusted to a relationship, Cirucci isn't great at handling emotional matters. Her reflex is to scold you for being weak and try to ignore her own worries... but that's not an acceptable way to respond, anymore, and she's left struggling to figure out some way to be comforting. That ends up mostly involving clumsy attempts to reassure you, insisting that since you're tough enough for her to be with you, you can handle whatever's troubling you now. It's a bit of a tough-love tactic, but it's still easy to see that she's trying to be sympathetic.

Beyond that, if she at all thinks it's possible, she'll try to fix your problems herself. The sappy, emotional approach isn't right for her at all— Cirucci is much more comfortable trying to do something about what's bothering you. Your unhappiness makes her anxious and agitated, but that just means she cares.
