Cine: Kaboom (2010)

Ésta es una de esas películas en las que lo real y lo alucinatorio se confunden de tal manera que resulta prácticamente imposible para el espectador saber cuál es cuál. Todo el relato, pergeñado por Greg Arakki ("Mysterious Skin"), deambula entre la comedia, el erotismo, el misterio y e incluso el terror. Su protagonista, Smith (Thomas Dekker), acostumbra tener sueños que involucran a su madre (Kelly Lynch), a su mejor amiga Stella (Haley Bennett) y a tres extrañas chicas, a las que no había conocido antes. Éstas aparecen más tarde: una como pareja de Stella (Lorelei, interpretada por Roxane Mesquida), otra acaba vomitándole en una fiesta (London, en la piel de Juno Temple) y la última como una tal Madeleine (Nicole LaLiberte), de quien sabe poco o nada a pesar de que se le aparece constantemente. Justamente, Madeleine es la protagonista de otro sueño en la que es asesinada por hombres con máscaras de animales.

Smith no termina de admitirse como gay: tiene sus encuentros con chicas, pero le apetece bastante Thor (Chris Zylka), su compañero de cuarto con buen cuerpo y pocas luces, el amigo de éste, Rex (Andy Fischer-Price). Folla con Hunter (Jason Olive), a quien conoce en una playa nudista y hasta se conecta con un tal Oliver (Brennan Mejia). Vida sexualmente productiva para un universitario de dieciocho años. Lamentablemente, la angustia lo llevará por constantes caminos de tensión y desquicio hacia un destino aún más inesperado.

*literally not a favorites list theres a couple movies i like better than some listed but i thought it was a good representative sample :) im a little bit sad about the ones i couldnt put it but i tried not to put anything too obscure (cualquier cine argentino fuera de tres o cuatro pelis) or far too obvious (the handmaiden) to tumblr audiences so that we could get decent voting here though i feel like my mutuals will go for the same 3 things. whateverrrrr I LOVE MOVIE what if i did the same for books and albums soon

It's currently morning for me, and whilst I'm finishing some school work at work, I was thinking thoughts about Axl:3 (At this point, I guess your posts really ingrained him in my brain, haha^-^)

Sooo, think Axl anywhere after 2006 but still before 2010: You're a long time friend of his and one night it's just the two of you enjoying dinner in god knows where. So the dinner goes well, with one thing leading to another (don't worry, it was some nasty sweet lovin'<3) and the next morning you wake up to the both of you ~naked~ and Axl lying on top of you, tightly holding onto you.

And he was awake all along, just waiting for you to wake up, too. And when you did...He was all smiley...Like, suspiciously smiley. And shy. More than his normal shyness...

And you wanna know why? 'Cause he couldn't believe it! It was one of his wishes since he had first known you, because you always looked after him so well and listened so good:>

Recomiendo la película. Una ambientación y actuación de 10 / 10, El final asombra. Aunque no apoyo vigilantismo (tomar la justicia por tus propia manos), el mensaje final parece, entiendo, argumenta, que en ciertas circunstancias, tomar la justicia en tus propias manos es acceptable.

El secreto de sus ojos es una película argentina de drama y suspenso de 2009 dirigida por Juan José Campanella,

basada en la novela La pregunta de sus ojos de Eduardo Sacheri, quien coescribió el guion junto a Campanella.

La película se centra en la relación entre los jueces Benjamín Espósito (Darín) e Irene Hastings (Villamil) y su investigación sobre un caso de asesinato en la Argentina de los años setenta.

La película, una coproducción realizada con capital local y de España, logró ser la película argentina de mayor éxito de 2009 y una de las más taquilleras de la historia del cine argentino, con más de dos millones y medio de espectadores. En 2010 se convirtió en la segunda película argentina en ganar el Óscar a la mejor película extranjera, después de La historia oficial (1985).
