It’s been a while~ Instagram is not my favorite social media app, so no surprise that I haven’t used it in ages except to like a few posts every few months lol But today, a lot of people really liked a sentiment I put forward today at the #cincinnatipride , so I figured I’d share a picture of my outfit, albeit this version with a beautiful, and well-preserved, antique blouse. I wore this version to the New Orleans Museum of Art while visiting the city with my dear friend. The weather was PERFECT for our trip, unlike today Haha It might’ve been very hot, but I kept cool enough to stay out for a while and see everything at the pride festival and meet lots of wonderful people. But finding names figures with concrete evidence of relationships in history is difficult. Many people had to hide their relationships under the guise of being “roommates” or “friends,” and many others are mere speculation. The two couples on the right are subject to such speculation, but Lili Elbe was one of the first trans women in written history, and Marcela and Elisa were able to get married under the guise of a heterosexual relationship. Regardless of what anyone tries to tell you, we have always been here, and WILL always be here. For myself, the best I have to describe myself is probably… Demi-panromantic and asexual. My experience is one that was difficult to realize was different from most people, but I am thankful nobody ever thought I was “broken” for having little to no interest in dating others or seeking sex. LGBT+ people look like a LOT of things, but we are everywhere, whether you realize or want to admit it or not. I want to give my thanks that I can know such a loving and warm group of people as those present at the pride festival. Keep on making history, everyone.
