cici @iyeonjuni the kind of relationship where you stay up and talk about anything and everything. one minute you're talking about how your day was and the next minute you're talking about who created milk. idk. i also associate grocery shopping ?? going out to buy food to make later (together ofc) and eating at restaurants too !! along with the fact that they'd def argue about who pays for the bill but i also see cici being like "well if u insist" and let them pay for everything LMAO also watching netflix and youtube videos on the tv and just having a chill day. i also feel like they'd be quite chill with each other so much so to the point where people don't even know they're dating HELP .. i also associate late night calls they just call each other the whole night until one of them falls asleep. not big on pda, but they like each other a lot <3

zee @moondust-zia most definitely a clingy couple. going out for late night store runs and the whole time they're just linking arms so they don't lose each other even though there's like 5 people in the whole store. also for the #laughs they page each other over the speakers the whole "__ ur wanted at the front register ur mom is waiting for u" LMFAOO. cuddling !!! all the cuddles in the world doesn't matter who's initiating it there will always be cuddles. they'll also make several playlists for each other even though they have their designated ones already but one isn't enough !! stay on the low, mostly enjoy staying inside but they make the most of it. they also just know each other so well like they say one word and they're just like I GET YOU. this is also extremely specific but watching each other when they sleep AND NOT IN A WEIRD WAY but just if one of them can't sleep but the other is they just watch the other sleep and it helps them :( and lots of pet names. very cute <3

ky @yyx2 these two would just be all over the place. one minute they're acting all affectionate with each other and the next they're bickering. but when they're being cute, i associate ice cream dates !! even tho ky is lactose intolerant but i mean #Rebelling amirite and pillow forts !! watching tv while laying down in the fort and just laughing together. i also feel like when one of them is having a hard time, all that comforts them is their presence. talking is good too, but just a simple hug or kiss and they automatically feel okay. i think of video games too and getting so competitive with each other :/ wrestling bc again .. violent :// OH and road trips/traveling !! seeing the world together and bringing each other out of their comfort zones. they would also send each other tiktoks and try to one-up each other to see who sent the best tiktok bc again competitive :/ not the most affectionate or the all up in your face couple BUT STILL VERY CUTE <33

@radiowallet - Poorly Wired Circuit owns me. I think about Marc & Techie at least once an hour, and I love what a rich world Cat has created from a shoddily slapped together children's movie. Honestly, she should be the one to write the sequel - it's a shame she's not. (Netflix, she's available, I'm jus' sayin'.) As if that weren't enough, Cat is just an all-around amazing human - a cheerleader on all ideas big & small, an enabler of the best kind, and her reblogs are one of the many highlights of every time I post.

@loversandantiheroes - I think about Hotel Hobbies... I don't know if I ever stop thinking about Medsie's Jack, if I'm being honest. Honestly, she's gotta be sick of me talking about how much I love it and is gonna block me soon, but that's the risk I'm willing to take to spread the good word of the Yeehonk Gospel. More than that, Medsie is a true talent, and you can always see how much hard work goes into her fics - she really spends time with a character and has one of the best handles on Jack I've ever seen.

@asta-lily - Can we talk about Lils? Let's talk about Lils. The kindest soul ever - Lils was the first person who ever reached out to me when I first started posting and just immediately made me feel welcome when I felt very much like an outsider. To have someone like her, whose amazing fics I already adored (side note: Prince of Dorne, anyone?) reach out to me and immediately extend friendship? I firmly believe it's the reason I didn't panic-delete my tumblr and slink back into lurk-ville. She's truly an angel.

@astroboots - CiCi, or my fellow connoissewhore as I like to call her, destroyed my puthy with Homecoming, and for some reason, I keep coming back for more? So much more than filthing-out in the DMs, Cici is great for bouncing plotline ideas off of, or helping you get unstuck in a narrative. She's always willing to let you ramble, and then often will just go "what if... [insert brilliance here]" and it blows my mind. She's also so supportive, when you're feeling kind of low, she knows exactly how to encourage you to keep on keepin' on.

@yespolkadotkitty - How could I not talk about Kitty? She's genuinely so kind and lovely. Fighting Blind is one of the only fics that's ever made me cry - like genuine, snotty ugly cry kind of cry. I still think - damn, how'd she do that? fairly regularly. Her ability to create these OC's who are so layered, who feel so incredibly human astounds me, and I'm just generally in awe of her at any given moment in time.

Wednesday: How did you find out about Rise? What got you into Rise?

It’s, like, a bit of a long story so buckle up kids!

So, flashback to simpler times. About 3 years ago in a Cici’s restaurant, I’m sitting there. Eating pizza and absentmindedly thinking about nothing. When my brothers point out that on one of the TV screens. There’s a promotion, I guess back when @nickelodeon​ @nickanimation​ was still promoting it. And I saw, back then to my horror, a new animation series of my favorite beloved cartoon. Called: Rise of the TMNT. I can’t remember why but I hated the idea of this remake.

Mind you the only other version I’ve ever watched was 2012, which back 3 years ago I held in high esteem.

I decided to never know anything else about this show, I didn’t know what they did to April, or Splinter, or anything. I didn’t bad mouth it online or try and get it cancelled. No, I figured that kids just must be into mindless entertainment since Teen Titans Go was still a thing.

Flash forward to when quarantine had started. I first joined Tumblr and somehow, slowly, my feed became filled with Rise things. Not over flowing, but art work here and there, short funny clips of the show that made me rethink my initial opinion on the show. I still put off watching it, deciding that it was for a new set of kids and that it was finally time for me to stop worrying about a show I kinda stopped watching after eighth grade.

Now is a good time to tell you I’m Gen z and eighth grade was only about 4 years ago for me. And that I’d still had this deep seeded love for this show and I didn’t want it to be soiled like Teen Titans had been.

Finally, in July, I was curious enough to at least watch the first episode. Only to be shot in the face by amazing animation, wonderful change of character dynamics. Wonderful change of the characters, whilst keeping important and core things about them. New and more fleshed out villains, new takes on old villains. Basically, making me fall in love with Rise after episode one.

I love this show, and I will hold the regret of hating it back in 2017 probably forever. The creators love this series as much as the fans did. It deserves recognition and love, and it completely deserves more seasons!!
