Some added changes to my Purpose! AU which featured brief DOA! Chuuya then moves on to ADA! Chuuya (bro is moving around organizations like PARKOUR!!)

So how Chuuya gets affiliated with the DOA-

I don't have all the details yet and I prefer to keep them more vague in the au since I genuinely have no idea which direction this story will go and I'd like to keep my options open-

But in some way either:

Fyodor kills Dazai

OR

the Port Mafia has some part in dazai's death (chuuya is not involved) like they refuse to aid the ada or just outright have the chance to save him but don't

(Likely due to something said in the earlier seasons where mori was scared dazai would kill him to assume his position as Port mafia boss)

If fyodor were to kill Dazai, it would take place a little after he takes over Bram's body, and to keep it EXTRA juicy Dazai is killed by falling off a roof, and somehow Chuuya isn't able to use his ability to save him. The one time this godforsaken ability would have helped him, it only aided in the loss of someone important yet again.

Fyodor gets Chuuya to join by saying that a world without his ability would free him from the burden of it, as well as proving that he and arahabaki are separate entities, meaning he is in fact human.

He also ties in how having this ability only brought him to the loss of all the important people in his life, and the loss of Dazai is kind of like the last straw

If the Port Mafia were to have a part in Dazai's death, chuuya would realize that his loyalty to Dazai is greater than his loyalty to the Port Mafia and leave of his own volition, no emotional Manipulation necessary. Joining the Decay of Angels would mean that his ability, as well as the abilities that in his eyes only bring more problems into this world, will one day disappear, and maybe he can finally live the normal, human life he earned.

Either way, it ends with a not-fully-healed-but-on-his-way-there chuuya joining the ADA in Dazai's place. He starts to resemble Dazai more, like with a slightly calmer, looser, free-er demeanor and even donning his tan trench coat. In this au, dazai and the others chuuya lost are to chuuya the way odasaku and ango are to canon dazai--they are the stepping stones that lead him to the light, the reason he joins the side that saves people.

I'm planning on drawing some of this au but on my art account, @god-shit-girl-art , so if you wanna see these ideas in picture form, you can follow me there!! I also wanna get some feedback on this au especially how you guys would prefer the way dazai dies, either by fyodor or by the PM. I haven't really decided yet and I'm not exactly sure what would be more in character for chuuya's writing. I may start a poll too

Bsd music venue (band) au inspired by the rock concert I just went to

The Port Mafia all work at a venue that mainly hosts rock and similar concerts

The ada is a band that frequently plays there

Tachihara is the sound/tech guy totally jamming out to the music with the crowd, he wanted the job as a way to go to concerts for free (but he still does his job well)

Gin does sound and tech too, they get along well. Gin is especially good bc they know sign language and teach others so they dont have to try to shout

Akutagawa is the weird kid working the merch table, no one really gets along with him but he gets the job done well. He has a bizzare way of organizing and doing things that irritates anyone else but he claims its faster

Mori technically owns the place but is never actually there, Kouyou runs it with help from Chuuya and Verlaine (all three are step siblings via Mori so it's kinda family run)

Chuuya runs the bar as well

Verlaine is never seen, he remotely does finances and boring stuff

Kouyou is the main manager/ highest besides Mori. She does booking and other stuff

Dazai used to work there but quit to join the ada band, now he comes to concerts just to bother chuuya at the bar

Hirotsu does hiring and training, hes been working there the longest, since before it was sold to Mori. Everyone knows him and likes him

Higuchi is head of security and manages security people as well as supervises and creates the id checking and security process to enter the venue

Whenever the ada plays there Atsushi sneaks off to make out with Akutagawa at the merch table

DazaI also sneaks away to be a bother, usually to Chuuya

Kunikida is the manager that travels with the ada, Fukuzawa doesn't travel

Kunikida and Kouyou in particular get along very well with how often they work together and their similar way of doing things

The band is made up of Dazai, Atsushi, Junichiro, Kyoka, Kenji, Ranpo, and Yosano

Fukuzawa, Kunikida, Naomi, and Haruno are all behind the scenes staff

NEW AU in which amateur boxer atsushi is roped into helping unravel an underground boxing ring. how he plans to accomplish that? fighting his way to the top. (of course i’m dropping chuuya’s design first but this au may be shin soukoku centric. unless.)

facts abt my post canon bsd au (mostly atsushi and ada centric)

◇ takes place 4 years after everything with the DoA and Hunting Dogs is settled

◇ atsushi grows his hair back out so it's a little past his shoulders

◇ sigma joins the ADA

◇ fukuzawa retires but still comes around to check on his kids former employees and is on standby in case of any future disaster

◇ kunikida and ranpo agree to co-lead the agency. kunikida takes care of most of the paperwork and employee affairs (pour one out for kida) while ranpo keeps an eye out for cases that could be DoA level threat

◇ everybody gets therapy 🥳🎉!! that government hush money compensation check for being attacked by the Hunting Dogs was partially spent on a getting therapists who could actually help them with their issues (pour another one out for the therapists bc the shit they have to deal with...)

◇ genderfluid atsushi (he/she/they), agender dazai (he/him or it/its), nonbinary sigma (they/he)

◇ kunichuuzai canon. dazai and kunikida got together first, then kunikida and chuuya and finally after many schemes dazai and chuuya talked abt their feelings for each other and got together shortly after

◇ atsushi joins a local community college because she realized she can do stuff for herself outside of working. he's studying literature

◇ kyoka and kenji tried to go regular school for a short while before they realized that that they hated it, so kunikida toutered them helped them get a GED (public school couldn't handle them anyway)

◇ reason why atsushi was finally sent to therapy was bc they were convinced to get high to help their anxiety (one guess who convinced them) and had a bad trip. they got extremely paranoid, mentioned times he would hallucinate and had several concerning statements about himself. when he sobered up the agency said they were going and she only agreed to go if dazai went and surprisingly dazai agreed to go.(dazai planned to go one session and was somehow conned by his therapist to continue going)

◇ but also blood family bc wow dazai and atsushi are half siblings!! (Their dad was a hoe, I'll get into in a separate post)

◇ atsushi's orphanage gets shut down (ada birthday gift for atsushi) and gets a documentary made due to the horrific treatment of the children there

◇ sparring buddies chuuya and atsushi

◇ kyoka, kenji, aya and q friendship

◇ after being turned into a vampire akutagawa has sharper canines than the average human and while his lungs are slightly better he carries any inhaler with him just in case

◇ atsushi has more control over his ability in the future and can now shift into his full tiger form on command and communicate with byakko

◇ dazai is also working to control his ability more and can now shut it off for a few minutes before it kicks back on

◇ byakko is a sentient ability similar to arahbaki. she has been around for centuries and has had many different hosts, one who was the author of The Book.

◇ how did they defeat fyodor? Uhhhh he got eaten by rats, turned into one, the tiger ate him and bc of ability bs he stayed dead next question

◇ dazai also has slightly long hair and now uses a cane

◇ tanazaki sibs finally work on their codependency issues

◇ yosano and tachihara go to lunch every few weeks to talk abt shunzen and bond

◇ akuatsulucy canon

◇ sigma and ranpo bet on random shit together and ranpo is surprised at how talented sigma is at betting

◇ ranpoe are long distance relationship atm but poe is making arrangements to move to yokohama

◇ mori steps down as head of mafia for...reasons and kouyou swifty takes charge of the pm (it was supposed to be chuuya but he threatened to leave the whole city and dazai agreed to help sooo kouyou)

◇ atsushi and lucy take edibles

◇ atsushi and yosano both hate being called angel. If you do it it's the fastest way to lose an arm

wait guys let me cook i just had the best au idea imagine. imagine a skk centric onibi series au.

dazai is perfect for akari because if i remember correctly, she has a gift that makes people commit suicide (if i remember correctly) then mori can be ryou because everyone hates both of them. i have other reason as well, but ill leave that for people to guess

and then chuuya would be mai because funny gay cannibalism i love cannibalistic gays, also it’s amusing to me bc of vampire chuuya. also chuuya could be interpreted to have a curse in cannon if that’s what you consider his ability, and dazai is the only one to be able to cancel it out (so in a sense i think it’s interesting for in an onibi au that dazai is the one who gave him the curse and also is the one who can negate it)

also guys imagine fyodor as shikyou the amanojaku. i mean, come on. he was trying to get chuuya to cheat on dazai with him, the shikyou is atheist who basically thinks she’s god—compare that to the most recent chapters of bsd, it makes sense imo

kouyou could be emi because in my eyes kouyou is chuuya’s enabler for many things, and chuuya having a positive relationship with kouyou is very important to me. also it’s funny to imagine that skk meeting would cause a theoretical calamity, which fyodor would be attempting to stop by killing chuuya (because that’s his claimed goal for much of the bsd plot, aside from whatever bs he’s pulled in latest chapters)

atm i’m struggling to remember all of the onibi characters because i know that ryou has an insane sister and then a kid obsessed with slaughtering animals but i forget what relevance that has to the onibi plot

and then for the evil stuff, imagine dazai watching chuuya be beheaded by fyodor. chuuya, the only person who truly mattered to him. and the only thing he can do is watch. and then chuuya, in his final moments, existing within a dream where he and dazai were married and happy, and could live normally. all of this stripped away from them because of an evil fate, and fyodor’s desire to preserve that unfortunate future.

In a royalty au, what would Dazai be (like would he be royalty or not, how would he know the others?)

hmmmm well I can't exactly speak for other people but I'd write him as either a very young king, with Mori as his Regent or have him be Mori's Ward.

Why? Because I have no idea what I'd do with an ADA Dazai centric Royalty au. Ask me this on the Ranpo page and I'll list out what I would do with an ADA Royalty au, but Dazai centric I'd stick w/ the PM ages, hence Mori. I also just like Mori.

I think I'd have Chuuya be a knight of some kind. Again if this were Chuuya centric I'd do it differently but. Dazai's court rn. Oda and Ango could be some of his tutors or some Noble's kids. Elise would be Mori's daughter so either a Noble or a Princess.

@downbadforpixels has once again sent me brainrots instead of writing them out themselves (smh) but they're so cute so i'll like. forgive them ig. anyways, BSD HIGHSCHOOL AU (wrote them all in one post cuz there were so many) (they're all prom centric by the way)

dazai and chuuya are they type that would wordlessly go from best friends/frenemies/whatever-the-fuck-they-are to lovers, so during prom they just ask each other what they plan to wear, and match their outfits. they enter the room side by side, dazai already teasing chuuya about wearing heeled shoes to "attempt to match him in height, not that it's working anyways :D" and chuuya nearly kicks him into the punch bowl. i think they would actually have a lot of people asking them to go to prom together, but they were all turned down because they both knew they were going together

atsushi and akutagawa are they type that would be very obviously crushing on each other, but would only get together right before prom. atsushi originally asked lucy to go to prom with him, but she just stared at him and said "aren't you going with your boyfriend? you're not cheating on him now, are you?" and atsushi is just like "🤨🤨 boyfriend? what do you mean boyfriend??" and lucy just facepalms and tells him to "hurry up and confess to the guy you always scream at everyday, dammit". and when they DO confess, it's somehow in front of the entire school, so when atsushi asks akutagawa to be his prom date, they whole school is just so silent and then it explodes with cheers and screams of "OH MY GOD THEY'RE FINALLY TOGETHER I WAS WONDERING HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE THEM"

kouyou and yosano are the ones who earn the titles of prom queens (they had to make a second prom queen title because they both had the same number of votes). they had plenty of people coming to ask to be their prom dates, of course, but they were all turned down with a simple "sorry, i'm already going with yosano/kouyou". and when they turn up at prom they're both so so pretty?? all eyes are on them, but they only have eyes for each other fr. they danced together too AHHHH ME AND WHO WHEN :(

fyodor and nikolai, on the other hand, were pretty obvious with their relationship long before prom was even scheduled. nikolai would decorate fyodor's locker with roses and hearts every year during valentines, and fyodor would open his locker to love letters falling out due to the sheer numbers (75% of those were from nikolai). of course, the feelings are reciprocated; fyodor gifts nikolai with lavish gifts during their day to day meetings, ranging from souvenirs from overseas holidays to expensive foods. no one tried to ask either of them to be their prom dates, so they definitely turned up to prom together :D

ranpo and poe, are the ones who seemed to have resorted to traditional courting methods. poe would gift ranpo candies and chocolates on a daily basis, as well as request for him to read all his manuscripts. ranpo agrees, claiming that he's "never had someone match him so closely in intellect before!" they both go to prom together and hang around at the food table for so long they had to be ushered away (i'm sorry guys idk how to write ranpoe)

this is also part of my post-doa arc series, and what i have right now actually started as the beginning to my chuuya-centric fic for the series (which is.. currently collecting dust in my gdocs) and the one sentence summary i have for it is:  the direct fallout of the decay of angels incident, as observed by the agency’s allies

aka snippets of what happened directly after the doa incident as it went in my au, from the perspectives of characters outside the agency. i only have the chuuya section done atm but i'm planning on writing for lucy, aya, sigma, bram, poe and maybe akutagawa as well. i also need to sort of. um. figure out what exactly happened at the airport battle in this fic which is why i haven't written any of the other sections yet sfdgfgk anyway have a little snippet

Lucy scoffs, rolling her eyes. But Dazai’s already turned away and started walking with determination towards the airport building. So Chuuya offers Lucy a wave goodbye and a sympathetic smile before darting after him. “Oi, you shouldn’t be walking so much on that leg injury!” “Not now, Chuuya.” “I’m being serious.” He slows his pace as he catches up with Dazai. “You’re going to make it worse. You need to get it looked at properly; it should be in a cast at the very least and depending on how bad it is, you might need surg— Hey!” Dazai grabs Chuuya’s arm, yanking him closer, then hisses, “This doesn’t make any sense.” “What are you talking about?”

Atsushi's life all fell apart in less than a day.

He had been too busy holding the cloth to his bleeding head and comforting Momma to notice the policeman standing by the door, or the lady in the black pencil skirt. He had been too busy thinking about staying awake and not dying because concussions were dangerous to notice the lady in the pencil skirt making phone calls.

But then he was being told to pack his bag. Then pushed into a strange car.

He wanted to ask where he was being taken but the lady with the pink lipstick told him to buckle in. "Be polite and mind your manners and hopefully Nakahara-san and Dazai-san will let you stay with them."

Atsushi didn't know who that was either. But this was just a little trip, he would be back home soon.
