Chuuya: Uh . . . Well, you know . . . Wolves?

Akutagawa: Wolves would probably eat him alive.

Chuuya and Ryuunosuke’s son Ayumu and daughter Sayuri are both born of the same surrogate mother with a difference of five years between the two of them. The mother is absent from the upbringing of the Akutagawa-Nakahara siblings.

a plethora of love

for @3rdgymbros! here’s a teeny drabble for parent!chuuaku with child!yumeno! i had so much fun writing this, and i’m so, so grateful to you for helping give me back some of my inspiration! i’m definitely going to write these guys again!

“Please tell me you remembered his bear.”

Akutagawa frowns, hands sifting through the contents of his backpack as Chuuya shifts Yumeno against his hip. “I think so.”

“Thinking so is not a yes,” Chuuya grumbles.

“I have a pacifier and a rocket?” Akutagawa raises his eyebrow.

Chuuya huffs, “I can’t believe you forgot it. He’s going to puke on me, and it’ll be your fault.”

“Actually, it’ll be his fault.” Akutagawa points out. Yumeno stares up at him from Chuuya’s arms, chubby fingers wrapped around the redhead’s ponytail.

“He can’t control that.” Chuuya frowns, “He’s a baby.” He turns (wincing as his scalp prickles with pain) and taps Yumeno’s bottom lip. “Aren’t you?” He coos.

Yumeno giggles, and Akutagawa can feel his lips turning up. Chuuya takes the opportunity to ruffle the thin layer of hair already growing over the baby’s scalp, threading his fingers through a black so reminiscent of Akutagawa’s own locks.

“He’s so precious.” Chuuya murmurs, tightening his grip.

Akutagawa agrees, but he’s less inclined to say so. Instead, he reaches out a finger for Yumeno to grab.

It’s been strange, attaching the label of son to the child in front of him. Akutagawa isn’t used to these familial labels, having only grown up with Gin by his side, sister and friend addressing her place in his life. It wasn’t until Chuuya came along that he learned how to organize boyfriend, fiance, and eventually even husband.

And now, he has a son.

Well, they have a son.

Parenting suits Chuuya, though Akutagawa doesn’t find that a surprise. He’s always been the nurturing type, underneath layers of punk and anger, using what tools he had to nourish his subordinates into the best they could be. Akutagawa knows firsthand the effect of Chuuya’s gentle touch, the softness of his skin and the sweetness of his smile. Taking care of Yumeno has given Chuuya that same gleam in his eye - the one of pride, the same gaze he’d direct to Akutagawa.

“If he starts crying, I’ll give him some pretzels.” Akutagawa says, as Yumeno yanks on his pinkie.

“You feed him too much,” Chuuya frowns.

“He’s growing.” Akutagawa grumbles, “I’m giving him essential nutrients.”

“The doctor said-”

“The doctor’s wrong.”

“He has a degree.”

“A wrong degree.”

“That makes no sense.” Chuuya snorts. “I doubt you know more than a doctor.”

Akutagawa shrugs, “I want him to grow up knowing he has enough. I want to make sure he knows his dads would do anything for him.”

Chuuya pauses, “Oh.”

Akutagawa lets Yumeno take a hold of his fist. He’s strong. “I guess... I don’t know, I never had that, so I want him to.”

Chuuya leans closer, resting his head on his husband’s shoulder. “That’s really sweet, Ryuu.”

“It is not.” Akutagawa hisses, “Shut up.”

Chuuya beams, “Whatever you say, dear.”

Akutagawa coughs to hide his flushed cheeks. Pet names still got to him.

“Come on,” Chuuya kisses his cheek, rising onto his toes to reach. “Let’s just finish up shopping so he can’t vomit everywhere, okay?”

“Okay.” Akutagawa agrees.

(Yumeno does not. He throws up on the way home.)

aizawa and all might would originally be set to fight them since being in the mafia would probably make chuuya and aku “villains” but aku starts coughing up blood during the fight so all mights like “I COUGH UP BLOOD TOO HES MY SON NOW” and aizawa begrudgingly goes along with it bc he knows he cant talk all might out of it and akus like “IM NOT YOUR SON FUCK OFF” but aizawas just like “respect ur parents u little shit”, meanwhile chuuya is having an existential crisis in the corner bc all might is nearly 2 feet taller than him
