I can't help but enjoy the Wei Yanwan-Jin Zhong-Chunchan absurdly evil team, the writting pushed all the limits to create the most hateful characters ever and guess what? They didn't achieve it

For the ask game: 🪐,🍬 and ☁️ :D
Thank you so much! 💞😊 Let's see here:
🪐 ⇢ name three good things going on in your life right now - Oh! This is both surprisingly easy and very ... needed, as there's one shitty thing making my thoughts spiral a bit. So thank you for the reminder to look at the good stuff: 1. I moved to my new house and it's amazing and comfy and I'm so happy about it! 2. We're getting a new kitten on Sunday! Since our little nekkid is not really getting along with our two furbabies, we have decided that now, with more space, we're gonna get her a nekkid sister! ^^ 3. I get to post my Obikin Big Bang Story tomorrow!!! Even though I was sick of it by the end, I'm excited to share it and the ART is SO GOOD!!!!! 🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character - Oh, oof. Uhm, let's see ... eeeeehm ... gosh, I'm gonna get cancled but ... Canon Ahsoka is actually so boring. *quickly hides behind a rock* ☁️ ⇢ what made you choose your username? - Assassin's Creed :D Before that, I was ChunChan, or Chunny, everywhere which stems from my early, early, EARLY anime days and I kinda wanted to let that go. AC2 was my big thing at the time, so that's how it came about. Now, I love it for the fact that it turned into "Eden", a name I still play with as a potential legal name, if I ever change it, or, PoE, which I adore for the pun of it xD Thanks so much for the ask! <3 I'll happily take more from here <3

#PIDW!Mobing is more proof that Mobei-Jun is a bottom#not bc he's Binghe's underling but bc PIDW!Binghe is unquestionably a top#he wouldn't trust anyone enough to top him tell me im wrong
@fireandgrimstone i'm stealing your tags to initiate top/bottom discourse irt: bingge
while bingge has unquestionably topped hundreds of people (and defeat in battle hundreds more, which could be seen as metaphorical topping) what if............................. the boy wants to be topped? cherished? taken care of by someone?
like the reason he tried to do sqq was because he'd read Regret of Chunchan and we know what's that like. But imagine the book had been something different, bingge being topped by sqq for example?
not that that would be easy for mobing, mbj being....... like that, but i do wonder, if as you say, bingge hasn't allowed himself to be vulnerable with anyone, what if he did...

svsss and erha are similar on a surface level. what erha is similar to is regret of chunchan (and a number of bingjiu fics out there), which is ooc irt to bingqiu's actual development and dynamic. mxtx makes a point of putting entire passages of the thing (for comic relief) and also to draw attention to how different bingqiu's relationship is from what other people think. including some parts of the fandom i guess.
the tags from the post you quoted are accurate, though I don't understand why you mention underage? nothing happens while binghe is a teenager.
Quick PSA:
Do not undermine the potential content warnings of a book to make the book more palatable.
This is, again, specifically for my fellow SVSSS fans. I see a lot of y’all out here posting that people are exaggerating the levels of fucked up Scum Villain is.
Hate to brake it to you but SVSSS hits most of AO3s major content warnings and, quite frankly, some people don’t wanna read that. And that’s ok.
You don’t have to justify what you read or what you enjoy, and other people don’t have to justify not reading or enjoying it. But don’t mislead people for what they’re getting themselves into.

I'm the same anon from the Yongyan question in the novel.
In the novel is Wei Yanwan taken down by her own servants as in the drama or it's different?
Thank you (•‿•)
I forget the details but in the novel, after Ruyi dies, Hailan and Meiruo secretly investigated Yanwan's deeds but I don't think it's specifically stated how so Yanwan's servants are not really involved in the whole deal.
(Ah never mind, after he was told of Yanwan’s deeds, Qianlong questioned Chunchan who confirmed it all. By the time, everyone else who helped Yanwan had died and Chunchan just went, oh fuck I’m next so I might as well just tell the emperor the truth.)

Saw the Bingge vs Bingmei post and was starkly reminded of why I do not like Bingge, nor do I want him to get a SY of his own. Because his response to finding a kind SQQ who tended to his wounds and brushed his hair and cared for him, was to attempt to RAPE him. First by deception (because he damn well knew that SQQ was mistaking him for Bingmei), and when that was found out, by force. If Bingmei hadn’t returned there and then, he would’ve succeeded.
heeeeeey I've been meaning to answer this but I've been really busy lately
So! *takes the binghe brainrot out of her head, sets it on a box; puts the box in the freezer* Setting aside the fact that Bingge has indeed raped and dubcon-ed other people, as per Airplane's design, and that this has been so normalized it barely escapes Sqq's criticism until he's literally and confronted with Bingge's violence on a personal level... I think we should try to see the situation from his pov.
(Of course I'm not absolving him from his faults! But since we often offer SJ the courtesy of understanding where he comes from I think Bingge deserves the same)
Bingge is thrown into a parallel universe where the women he thinks of as his wives treat him with friendly but distant formality, where people that died in his timeline are alive, and the Shizun that tormented him, abused him and allowed others to bully him is caring in a way he's never known, and most of all a way that he'd never ever expect the original Shen Qingqiu to act. The same Shizun he took his revenge on already.
Later he reads Resentment of Chunchan, which iirc depicts Bingqiu in very kinky and dub-con situations. LMY's porn is hardcore guys. (not blaming her!) And I don't suppose he thought Binghqiu's relationship was exactly as depicted in RoC but it was a piece of the puzzle this strange Shizun posed. Ah, of course this version of his Shizun is nice to him, he's his lover. So he proceeds to act on this new knowledge.
I thinks this is because 1) this is the only way he knows about how to interact with people: they are either enemies, subordinates or those he can seduce into his harem(and by seduce I also mean rape, in the reasoning that he "making them "have a good time" will seduce them/make them "fall in love" with him, using whatever means he has at his disposal, which include deception and blood parasites); 2) this is his hateful shizun, or at least an alternate version of the same man and 3) [but not less important] Bingge has no moral code or compass to guide him in life during his formative years. All he knew was that the strong can bully the weak, that you can push down someone and have your way with them, because if you give them pleasure they'll eventually submit to you (thank you for that, Qin Wanyue) and that power is everything. His mother's teachings sadly were left behind, a consequence of all the abuse and violence he went through.
And even at the peak of his power, with riches and a harem and entire ream at his feet, he still is not happy. He's a cruel man with a cruel way of thinking and perceiving the world because it's the only thing he's known.
Bingmei would be the same as him if Shen Yuan hadn't transmigrated and educated him, if he hadn't give him a moral standard and values to follow (those of his caring shizun). He turns the Old Palace Master into a human stick and if you ask him he'll describe in vivid detail how he'd torture anyone who dared to touch a hair of his dear Shizun's head.
And since Bingge is no longer just a book protagonist and MXTX loves dishing karma to her characters, Bingge gets this: see all you've accomplished? It's worth nothing, because you have no one to love you and care for you the way those two (bingqiu) do for each other.
In an AU, i don't think he'd be able to get Shen Yuan to fall in love with him by coercing or manipulating him into a relationship. I love the ones where he's forced into introspection, forced to change at least some of his ways.
I don't have my mind made up about this topic 100%; sometimes I think Bingge is unforgivable, others he still deserves a chance to find love and happiness. Part of me thinks he doesn't want a Shen Yuan, but was struck with need at the idea of having a kind Shizun, something he was deprived off as a child and teen. If that's the case, what would attract him about Shen Yuan but the possibility of him being that Shizun? And another question: would Shen Yuan fall in love with Bingge once he gets to know him for real? Would he feel the same disconnect Sqq felt by the end of the novel?
what do you guys think? I'd love to read your thoughts :D
almost forgot! *takes the binghe brainrot out of the freezer* thank you anon! feel free to send a reply to my asks, I'd love to read your thoughts too ❤️

Those beautiful Daoist nun triplets were pestering a person with sweet and gentle words. In fact, it was a person who wore a veil, looked cool and elegant, and radiated an atmosphere of integrity: Liu Mingyan.
(...) He sent two more side glances at them and only heard those three sisters say coquettishly, “Good Sister, Good Master, Good Senior, please give us an autograph.”
“We went through so much difficulty to meet the author. Please leave us a momento.”
“Is it truly to be discontinued, with no further reprints?”
EXCUSE ME SVSSS TUMBLR, why is NO ONE talking about this??
"coquettishly" fangirling all over Liu Mingyan,
COQUETTISHLY
Friendly reminder that this 3 will then go to write a bingqiu book LONGER than resentment of chunchan. It amuses me to think that they went "well if the author will not write more then we have to take over" good for them GOOD FOR THEM
I wish they had names orz

Was Chunchan actually tortured by Rongpei and Yexin?
No they kidnapped her for two reasons: 1) to threaten her about what Yanwan might do to her once she outlived her usefulness and 2) to get Yanwan suspicious enough to try and kill Chunchan.
So the idea was they got Chunchan realising that she (Chunchan) knew too much about Yanwan’s crimes, and if there was ever a time when Yanwan feels like she needs to kill people to keep her secret, Chunchan would be first in line.
But also because they detained Chunchan for so long, Yanwan also got paranoid that Chunchan had started to blab, and that triggered Yanwan into giving Chunchan the poisoned lipstick before sending Chunchan out so she wouldn’t die of poisoning in the palace. Then of course when she collapses, Jiang Yubin “just happened” to be walking by.
So it was a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy play.

I think that if there's anything inescapable in the SV verse it is the System, not Luo Binghe.
Bear in mind that all we know about Luo Binghe is from  SQQ's POV, and as we know he's an unreliable narrator. The one that conceptualizes LBH as inevitable, inescapable and unbeatable is him, from his reader POV and from what he's made himself believe all through the novel.
Let's not bring into discussion the Jinlan City arc, because that's the height of bingqiu's miscommunication and misunderstandings issues, and the only time where LBH actually wanted to hurt and capture SQQ as revenge for throwing him into the Endless Abyss.
Post self-detonation, SQQ could have tried to escape while he was in the plant body, but he wasn't making a real effort about it. He was even looking for LBH, and in trying to save the captured disciples he got closer to where LBH was. Then he went back to CQM and that's when LBH "caught" him. That's the only time he's actually under house arrest, and since this doesn't gain him SQQ's favor, LBH will eventually learn that capturing someone's body is not the same as having their heart (Random Questions Extra). In other words, if the love he wants isn't given freely, what's the point of it?
Then after the Holy Mausoleum, IiRC, he berates LBH like two times for not being at his side when he woke up. After Maigu Ridge, he again asks LBH why he wasn't waiting at his bedside.
There is a lot of stuff I missed on my first read of the novel, and one of them was this. I was fooled by SQQ's narration. I believed that everything he did for LBH was "reluctantly", because it was LBH and it couldn't be helped.
It is not at all like that. That's the way he excuses his own actions towards LBH. He doesn't like to process his feelings for LBH, doesn't want to think about them, but his actions speak louder anyways. There's a lot of examples of him thinking that he's actually "giving in" to LBH, because he prefers to think that, instead of admitting to himself that he wants to be with LBH, that he loves him and is attracted to him. He has internalized homophobia and queerphobia and that colors his thoughts in many ways, especially in how he describes his relationship with LBH. "Oh LBH is so attractive of course I can't possibly deny him, he's the protagonist.” It's not because he himself is attracted to him, what do you mean?. "Oh LBH is trying to manipulate me and coax me into doing this. Can't be helped, I have to give in." My favorite one is when he tries to convince himself that he's not enjoying sex with LBH in the Regret of Chunchan extra.
(post is getting long so more thoughts under the cut)
it’s like everything you do in the moment will be remembered and judged and blown out of proportion and will cause real, deadly consequences in the future.
Well, one of the things that MXTX likes to explore is the consequences of the characters' actions, and I think that's a prevalent theme in SVSSS, especially with SQQ, as this is something he eventually has to realize.
And as @mxtxfanatic has pointed out, LBH is not the only character that "seeks revenge for the smallest grievance" and repays kindness tenfold; Zhuzhi-lang does that too.
I was just thinking that if shen yuan didn’t love his character going in, would he have seen… any of this?
as @cuentaprovisional said, SQQ is very aware of LBH's twisted  personality. Though it's more accurate to say that he knows about PIDW's LBH, the one he was expecting to find post-Abyss. He's also aware of the things that Bingge and his Binghe have in common, as well as their differences. It's the reason why, after the punishment protocol where Bingge ripped off his leg, he desperately wants to see his Binghe, to "soothe" his heart with his white lotus' presence.
how exactly has LBH's protagonist halo served him in the SV verse? He's shunned by the cultivation world, doesn't have any friends, only subordinates, has an extremely powerful but dangerous sword that worsens his emotional and spiritual balance, and has lost the people he's loved in tragically painful ways.
What is the "protagonist halo" from his SQQ's POV?
LBH irresistible: a lie, since he's not actively trying to seduce women, and a lot of people dislike him
LBH is the most powerful being in PIDW: another lie; in PIDW he couldn't defeat YQY and had to set him up; there is also TLJ, who in his original body would probably overpower him.
LBH has the ultimate golden finger, Xin Mo: And it wrecks his emotions and cultivation; in the end he has to stop using it
LBH can't die: Can't he? he could die from other things like qi deviation from Xin Mo's influence, which is why he was using other cultivators to stabilize his own energies. And I think this is something that applies to all Heavenly demons.
LBH always gets his way: I mean... If he always got his way in the SV verse he wouldn't be so traumatized
So LBH's protagonist halo is actually just his demonic heritage, and even that can be overcome under the right circumstances and with enough force.
So, going back to the idea that the System is the truly inescapable entity in the SV verse: the System is the one coercing SQQ into doing things he doesn't want, is the one forcing him to play out his and LBH's interaction like wife plots, is the one putting him through horrible punishments; the System is the one forcing him to play out the role given to him. And SQQ can't get rid of it, can't kill it.
the concept of luo binghe creeps me out.
just, the sureness of it. you know without a doubt that he will become the biggest powerhouse in svsss. you know, that with his protagonist halo, everything will eventually go his way. it’s like everything you do in the moment will be remembered and judged and blown out of proportion and will cause real, deadly consequences in the future. you’d have to be monitoring every single act you made around him, and even then worry he’d notice how forced it was.
the inevitability of it squicks me. he’s not escapable, not forever. this is proved in the novel, too, I’m pretty sure, when shen yuan flees with the plant body and is found. (details are fuzzy there, feel free to correct me. something about fertilizer?? anyway.) he will get what he wants, with enough time. any resistance shen yuan puts up is futile, especially with the system looking over his shoulder.
it’s… it’s just an uncomfortable thought. if you disagree with him, there’s nothing you can do. he’s everywhere, and you can’t offend him or make him leave for fear of what he could do in the future.
idk. I was just thinking that if shen yuan didn’t love his character going in, would he have seen… any of this? and maybe I’m wrong and it’s the trauma talking, but. isn’t that something to be wary of?

MOTHER FUCKING REGRET OF CHUNCHAN!
alright here's the post. best hits of scum villain vol 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Eight snippets of text reading as follows. 1) [Total satisfaction points surpassed countable limits! Unlocked the achievement "Good Enough for a Jerk Off"] 2) Zhuzhi-Lang didn't know what it meant to "feel bummed out," but he was certainly experiencing what it was like to be bummed out right now. 3) not a single thing to show for for himself, Yue Qingyuan was pierced with ten thousand arrows and perished. Goodbye. 4) Luo Binghe looked up. "Shizun, you're always so merciless with me." Ahead of them, Liu Qingge turned back and wrinkled his nose, looking like he wanted to hack these two degenerates to death. 5) Mother! Fucking! Regret! Of! Chunshan! 6) Shen Qingqiu rested his forehead on his hand and sucked in a deep breath. "Towards the Sky-bro, 'Great Master,' 'Great Master' Airplane - were you not held enough as a child or something, huh? 7) In any case the straight man could be allowed to come inside. 8) When Shen Qingqiu read this line, he could only stare in silence. What kind of rebuttal could he even make to that? Goodbye. End ID]

Ah, sorry for barging in but the wine enema thing came from the Resentment of Chunchan: Song of Bingqiu by the Three Holy Mothers. LMY's smut was too hardcore ("Drugging, non-con, force—what a marvelous buffet.") Though she did write about using the blood parasites during sex.
Hate to break it to you, Shen Qingqiu, but despite your embarrassment, you only get good sex by teaching your partner what you want/like out of it 🤣

They're amazed that there are so many people (from all genders) buying Resentment of Chunchan and all the other volumes. They want to meet the author just to ask hey what the fuck is this all true
Then one day they get a shiny new book. The writing is distressingly familiar.
Those corny metaphors, those long rambling paragraphs about the fauna and the landscape, multitude of sex plot devices...
It's almost as if it was the same author-
"Oh HELL no. Airplane-dada is here? And writing BL???"
Do you think anyone else transmigrated into pidw but was FAR away from the fuckery and just went "hmmm....butterfly effect...?" shen qingqiu meets them in the mushroom body saga and they never figure eachother out. They keep ALMOST meeting. I bet the person was like a casual reader.
