We don't talk about Helen Blackthorn enough imo.

Her father was killed during the war, and yet her loyalties were still questioned because her mom was a faerie.

She was sent to Siberia in exile for YEARS!!!!

Meanwhile her brother was kidnapped and the Clave was like "well he's fae what do we care?"

Her other brother ended up having to almost become a father figure to his other siblings at the age of 12, because Helen wasn't allowed to take care of them!

She was only able to get permission to get married in exchange for being made a public example and humiliated!

Even after her uncle died, Helen was still not allowed to become head of the Los Angeles Institute, despite living in Siberia and doing extensive research on wards, which would later become how the Clave knew that Malcolm Fade was up to something! She would only be allowed to be co-head of the Institute after the Clave was exiled from Idris.

And when she was finally able to reunite with her siblings again they had all grown up so much they didn't want anything to do with her and viewed Julian as their go to person when they needed something! They thought of Helen as a stranger and not their older sister.

the fact that Blackstairs are like the only couple who have canonically worried about breaking up after their series concluded is so funny. you guys literally went to an alternative universe where you were Evil and you were still sappy and in love what possible circumstance would cause you to break up 😭

I don‘t know what it is about the Blackthorns but Andrew falling in love with Nerissa, Mark pulling the king of Faerie, Dru falling for Ash and Ty being in love with the First Heir is just weirdly iconic

i absolutely love the fact that 2 blackthorns have fallen for faerie blood and that they will continue to do so

i’ve said this a few times before but i find it fascinating that four generations of blackthorns are in love with some type of faerie lineage

and what makes it better is that all the fae they’ve fallen for are ROYALTY. like out of all faeries they manage to pull the best of them.

Nerissa was said to be princess of the Seelie court

Kieran is THE king of the Unseelie court

Kit is the last living descendant of the first heir which will one day make him KING of ALL of faerie

Ash is son of the Seelie queen and the next heir

and then Jesse and Lucie who doesn’t have faerie blood but is the granddaughter of a prince of hel

and then Annabel fell in love with a warlock

Y’all know how Andrew Garfield almost got the role of Prince Caspian but then apparently he wasn’t handsome enough? What if that was the premise for a Wolfstar fic? Movie star Remus Lupin auditions for Prince Caspian but then Hearttrob Sirius Black gets the role? And when Remus reveals this at a talk show one night years later everyone goes wild and thinks he hates Sirius ( when in reality he’s actually secretly engaged to him 😭😭😭 ) ( James is the talk show host )

Also, Ben Barnes and Andrew Garfield have the same birthday?? Like how crazy is that??!!!
