Day 3 prompt 3 nr 39 for varia squad, thw vongola tenths and if you want also the millefiore?
Of course, my dear! Thank you so much for the request and I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts, even though I know they differ quite a bit from yours on some of the characters!
What is the most common source of arguments with the character’s life partner(s)?
Tsuna and Ryohei’s most common source of arguments with their respective partners actually run quite a bit along the same lines. Both of their partners will have issues with accepting the fact that both of these men will hide a lot from their partners. In both cases, these men believe they’re doing the right thing. In their minds, they want to shelter their partners from the harsh realities of mafia life and they don’t want to make their partners worry or hurt. But the fact of it, coming from the side of their partner, is that it will make their partner feel as if these men don’t trust them or see them as weaker and just something to be protected and set aside from the rest of their lives. It’s nearly impossible to keep a relationship alive when one party feels as if the other sees them as less than or if one party feels like the other doesn’t trust and respect them. Tsuna and Ryohei do have their points, but they’ll also need to realize that their lovers have valid points too. They’ll have to put themselves in their lovers shoes and realize how they would feel in that position and there is hope that both men are capable of getting better at communication, but it won’t be a natural or quick thing for them and finding a partner who will stick around and wait for them to improve is going to be a struggle. On top of this issue with Ryohei, I do feel like his partner will also have some issues with just how much he enjoys fighting, with how often he comes home with his body broken, cut up, badly injured.
Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Chrome’s most common fights with their respective partners all come down to the same issue – their partner never gets to feel like they’re the priority. Each of these characters are people who would put other things above their partners. Chrome really will, even as she gets her own life, her own friends, a romantic partner, all of it, put Mukuro and the Kokuyo Gang above anything else in her life. If Mukuro needs her, she is going to him, no discussions needed and nothing her partner will say will change that. She doesn’t see why her partner cannot accept this, especially as they know how precious Mukuro and the Kokuyo Gang are to her. To her, Mukuro is the only reason she had this second life, this chance to actually be with her partner, so how can they sit there and complain about the times when she has to go and help Mukuro? Do they not realize that without him, she would not be there with them in the first place? She’s not a scream and fight kind of person though and most arguments her partner has with her regarding the subject are shut down just by Chrome walking away, telling them she will be back and hoping that they will come to their senses by the time she returns.
Gokudera’s case is obvious. I will always say that, because of how long he spent with nothing and because of how Tsuna took him in, gave him family and friends and a purpose in life, that Tsuna and the Vongola family will always be his priority. If Tsuna needs him, he will go, and it’s not just Tsuna. If any of the family are in trouble and he is close enough to lend a hand, he is going to do so. It might mean that he sometimes has to cancel plans with his partner, it might mean that occasionally he will be gone from them for significant chunks of time. But he always comes back to them, doesn’t he? He does the best he can for them, doesn’t he? And besides, they’d known this about him from the start, he’d never hidden it. It was part of why he'd never really ever wanted a serious romantic relationship, but he couldn’t help falling in love with them, with how they’d snuck past all his walls and barriers. Couldn’t they admire his loyalty to his precious people and realize that he’d protect them with his life as well? Why did it always need to be this big fight? However, the truth is that his partner has valid points as well. It’s a horrible feeling to never get to feel important to the person you love the most. It hurts to be stood up or cancelled at the last minute, it hurts to never get as much quality time as you need and all of that on top of always worrying about Gokudera’s safety, because he does share the Mafia life with them, they do know the dangers. Unfortunately, I really don’t see Gokudera ever being fully willing to do much to compromise on this. He is who he is, he lives how he wants and needs to and his partner will have to find ways to accept him as he is, accept his life and his family, or there’s absolutely no hope of a future together.
Yamamoto has always had ambitions and goals and things he wants to do with his life. He wants to continue to play baseball, and I do think he does achieve his ambition of playing professionally, even just for a while. He has the Vongola and his family there, along with his father, that he wants to protect, cherish, and love. He has his sword and his determination to continue on the flawless, invincible Shigure Soen style. His relationship with his partner is just one of the many, many things going on in his life. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love his partner because he most certainly will. He deeply loves his partner, they’re the light of his life and are incredibly important to him. However, there’s other important things in his life and he needs them to understand that because his life will keep him busy. He’ll be on the road with his team and they’ll either need to be willing to uproot their life and travel with him or trust him to be away from them for so long. His family, of all varieties, are equally as important to him as his lover is and he’s going to do his best to make sure everyone’s needs are met, but that also does mean that sometimes he needs to prioritize and that can leave his partner feeling neglected. He hates when it happens but he’s only one man and tensions can run high on both sides. Once the initial flare of anger has faded though, he is someone who is willing to listen and communicate and the one most willing to find compromises.
Lambo’s biggest source of fighting with his partner? Believe it or not, it’s because Lambo grows up into someone who is a major flirt and likes to fancy himself a bit of a ladies man. He would never stoop to out and outright cheating, mind you. To him, such an act of utter betrayal and disloyalty is disgusting, but he does have a bad habit of flirting with both genders, if the person seems into him, flirts and flatters him, or is just really gorgeous. I also think Lambo has a really bad habit of, once he gets comfortable in a romantic relationship, stopping flirting with his lover. In his mind, there’s no reason to compliment them as much, to flirt and be super playful. That kind of stuff is for courtship and to let them learn how magnificent he believes they are and how much he loves them. Once they’re in a committed relationship for a bit, he figures his partner knows that without him having to do much to show it. It just…slips his mind. So, it’s no wonder for his partner to be hurt by him flirting with other people, especially if they’re not getting that kind of attention and it’s easy enough for his partner to get insecure. However, the good thing about Lambo is that, after there’s enough arguments with his partner, he’s really going to be able to accept that he’s probably fucking up somewhere and he’ll honestly be willing to listen to them if they want to tell him what they need. He honestly will need to hear it to realize what’s going on and once his partner lets him know that they need him to show them appreciation and once they let him know they need him to perhaps tell those flirting with him that he’s taken, he’ll try his best to work on it. He won’t ever stop flirting with people, it’s just a part of his nature, but he will try his best to make sure his partner knows he appreciates them, finds them beautiful, and would never jeopardize his relationship with them.
Hibari and Byakuran have the same issue with their partners. That is, obviously, that both men have serious commitment issues that will cause arguments in any relationship they get into. In Hibari’s case, he can’t stand the thought of being tied down to any one person or any one thing. He wants to be able to do what he wants, live how he wants to live, fight who he wants to fight, and go where he wants whenever he wants. He doesn’t want the absolute responsibility for another person. While he could be capable of entering a romantic relationship, it’s going to be a challenge and everything about it will have to be dictated by Hibari’s whims. It’s something he will make clear from the get-go. There will be no marriage, no happily ever after’s with children and happy families. That’s just never going to be something he wants, no matter how much he loves the person. Though fights are sure to arise from this issue, Hibari will shut them down right away or will just plain out walk away from his partner, sometimes for quite some length of time. His attitude, his way of living his life, is absolutely inflexible and he’s not going to consider, even for a moment, changing anything about it for his partner’s sake. Compromises aren’t his style so his partner will have to accept him as he is and be willing to live a life without those ideals of marriage, children, etc. If they can’t, he will make it clear that it’s best for both of them if they walk away from the relationship before either grows more attached.
In Byakuran’s case, he is honestly very changeable as a person. Even after Yuni helps him open up his heart, he’s someone who really does have a problem connecting with humanity. She opened up his heart after all, she didn’t take away his special powers. He’s already lived a million years and life is in some ways very boring for him. He’s a person who lives and acts entirely on his own whims and he can’t settle into one thing for any long period of time unless it’s something entirely new and potentially exciting. In his other lives, he’s done the whole marriage and kids and forever love kind of things. He knows the experience, it’s no longer novel. Because of this, and his own issues with indecision and tendency to wonder if the grass is greener on the other side, he has no desire for big commitments, like getting engaged or married, and there is a huge potential for him requesting an open relationship at some point during his time with his first, and most important partner.
Mukuro’s main source of arguments with his partner are actually two-fold. One is the most obvious potential for arguments, which is Mukuro’s habit of lying or telling only half-truths, obscuring his real goals, feelings, and motivations. The other is that he’s actually a rather poor communicator when it does come to himself. He’s completely emotionally closed off, with big strong walls separating him from people and that’s not something that will change throughout the years. While he definitely is capable of love and affection for others, letting them truly and completely in is something impossible for him. This can make forming true and lasting romantic relationships really difficult. It’s hard to always feel like your partner doesn’t trust you or that they’re keeping a distance from you and it’s understandable for his partner to bring it up every now and then, to try to communicate how it makes them feel to him. However, Mukuro is not someone who takes even mild criticisms well and it will turn into a verbal fight most of the time which results in him telling them to leave. His relationship will be very on-off for that reason unless his partner allows him to get away with everything.
With Xanxus, there is really no common source of arguments with his partner. The fact is that Xanxus has a really horrendous temper, even as he matures. Though the maturing does mean he gets a better grip on his temper, he still has that nasty temper that is always ready to explode, set on a very hair-trigger. The worst of it is that there’s no telling what will set his temper off. There’s the obvious things that his partner should never speak of in front of Xanxus (mentioning his defeat at the hands of Tsuna, suggesting that maybe he make up with Timoteo, criticism of any kind), the problem is that things that won’t upset Xanxus in one situation or on one day will at another time. His temper is unpredictable, even to him, so literally anything can cause fights with his partner and, unless they’re willing to face his wrath (and have excellent dodging skills) or unless they learn how to read his body language and control their own behaviour based on that, Xanxus’ partner is going to have to learn to live walking on eggshells really because he will not change.
Squalo’s most common sense of arguments with his partner is really a very obvious one. Squalo’s line of work and his lifestyle is an unconventional one and it’s one that he completely devotes himself to. His goal is to become the Sword Emperor and to serve Xanxus and nothing will stand in the way of that, even falling in love. His work is dangerous; he will come home injured, sometimes with bones broken, in horrible conditions. He will have to be away from his partner because of work, or even through choice, for considerable lengths of time at points. Much like some of the others mentioned, Squalo lives the way he likes, and he has no plans on changing his job, his hobbies, or how he lives in any way because in his mind, he is living the right way. Everything he does, in his mind, is the right thing and anyone who disagrees with it is in the wrong, which is a hard mindset to argue with. Because of that, arguments with his partner can get bad and in the end, his partner is going to have to learn to cope with his work with the Varia, with his ambitions as the Sword Emperor dragging him around the world, and with his devotion to Xanxus. None of these things will mean that Squalo won’t love his partner, but if they cannot handle living with those things, then the relationship is doomed.
Levi, Bluebell, and Daisy all have very similar topics and issues as the most common source of arguments with their respective partners. Levi has extreme jealousy issues and will be a very possessive partner. He struggles quite badly with his own insecurities, some of which are rather extremely felt. Because of this and because of the amazing (and often good-looking) men he’s around, he’s always scared that his partner is going to wake up and realize they can do better, and that insecurity will lead him to being jealous of any other person that his partner gets close to. What if they take his partner away? That fear and insecurity also drives him to want to keep his partner with him. In his mind, he’s as good as out of sight, out of mind to people and he’s scared that, between other people and not always having a lot of time with his partner, that they will forget about him or replace him. So, Levi can pick fights, accuse his partner of cheating or of caring about any other person in their life more than they care about him. He’ll pick arguments when he’s feeling insecure about everything, and he will try to separate his partner from friends that he feels they like more than him or that are too good-looking. He wants his partner’s life to almost revolve around him, because other than his work and his boss, Levi’s entire life will revolve around his partner. It is abusive, it is unhealthy, but he just can’t seem to stop himself.
Bluebell also gets extremely jealous. She wants to be the center of attention for her partner. They should be looking at her, complimenting her, playing with her, spending their time with her. She doesn’t want them to like anyone more than they like her and because of this, she will pick fights with not only her partner, but any of her partners friends that they bring around her. She’ll get really rude at those times – the only exception to this is her partner’s direct family members, who she will respect as she believes family is a very important thing. It won’t matter how many times her partner brings up that this is too much, that her rudeness is unfair and embarrasses them or that her partner can’t take it. Bluebell won’t change her actions and she honestly does assume that they’ll never leave her no matter what she does, because the two of them are in love.
Daisy, meanwhile, when they fall in love, is someone who wants to ‘own’ their lover. They want their lover to be theirs in entirety. Daisy’s lovers life will have to grow to be entirely based around their relationship with Daisy, around Daisy themselves. To Daisy, they do love their partner, but they feel entitled to their partner in all ways and might at times view their partner as a toy. Because of this entitlement, arguments with Daisy will really get their partner nowhere. They will either be used as a toy or they will have to try to leave Daisy, which comes with its own unique set of problems and troubles because if Daisy’s partner thought Daisy was possessive during their relationship, that’s nothing compared to a dumped Daisy.
Lussuria is someone who really is never fully satisfied. He has a problem with, even if he’s in love with one person, always wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. A true romanticist in his own way, Lussuria dreams of the perfect partner and the moment one of his relationships starts to show imperfections, he can get too focused on those and start wondering if there’s something better out there. He might even be easily tempted to cheat, even just emotionally or through paying male escorts. This can obviously affect his partner’s self-esteem, their trust in him, and their whole relationship and there will be numerous fights about it. Unless his partner leaves Lussuria or stays but opens up the relationship, this will be a continuing fight as no one person will ever be able to live up to Lussuria’s dream partner.
Both Belphegor and Zakuro have the same issue that causes the most arguments with their respective partners. Similar to Xanxus, both of these men have extreme tempers and serious anger issues. Belphegor’s temper is not only unpredictable and nasty, but it’s very violent and that extends to when he loses his temper with his partner. He throws temper tantrums, and he really doesn’t think anything of physically hurting, even attempting to murder, his partner when he loses his temper. This is obviously not going to sit right with his partner, but there’s really no talking to Belphegor and, if his partner tries to leave him before he is done with them, Belphegor will seriously make every effort to kill them in as brutal a way as he can. There is no fix for this issue and it’s something that just comes with a relationship with Belphegor. Honestly though, his partner should have seen the hints of how unhinged this man is before they decided to get together with him. Zakuro’s temper isn’t that bad. It’s more that he just gets angry really easy. He won’t physically hurt his partner, but he’s going to be violent and intimidating. There will be at least one hole in the drywall of their apartment from where he put his fist through a wall when he was angry. He really probably doesn’t even mean to scare his partner as much as he does; it’s just that Zakuro gets all consumed in his anger and can’t think at all. He’ll always apologize for his anger afterwards, promise he’ll do better next time, but the next time comes and it’s the same thing again. I think the only thing that would seriously make him attempt to change, to seek help with his anger issues, was if his partner were to leave him over it.
Both Irie and Spanner have bad habits of getting much too into their work and their passion projects. They will forget even the basics of sleeping and eating when they get in the zone, until those urges become undeniable. So, it’s really little wonder that they completely forget about their partner as well. They will forget dates or plans, standing up their partner because they don’t even think to message them to properly cancel. They will forget special occasions. They just won’t be around for their partner to support them. It’s no wonder, and very understandable, for their partners to sometimes get upset about this, especially if it continues on for weeks, as it sometimes can. Both men would feel absolutely horrible about making their partner feel bad and they will honestly try to apologize and do better, but they keep repeating the same patterns over and over because how into their work and their passions both men get are just huge parts of who they are as people.
Kikyo has the most boring source of arguments with his partner, the most mundane. The truth of the matter is that the thing he’ll fight with his partner the most about is finances and financial stressors. Kikyo, despite his extravagant appearance, is actually really financially smart. He’s a saver, not a spender, and he’s careful with his money. Part of it is really needing the security of knowing his bills will all be paid, that he and his partner will have the money needed to survive and thrive. If his partner has a habit of spending money on things, even if they can afford them, that Kikyo considers unnecessary, it will definitely spark arguments. Honestly, the two of them need to find a nice compromise between the two, and there’s definitely the potential for both of them to get there, but it will be after plenty of arguments around the subject, as Kikyo is proud and does believe that he is right in everything.

Chrome with a cat guys. Like the a scrunky-looking, one-eyed cat that's been through the horrors and may or may not like people but will spend hours in Chrome's arms just purring away.

whatifchormewasar arcobaleno
hi, thank you for the ask!
hmm, honestly nothing much comes to mind off the top of my head. tho i can't help but feel like she'd cope relatively well with the curse. not in the reborn's way where she'd become resigned to it, or in viper's way where she'd do everything to get rid of it, refusing to believe there's no way out of it, but something in between. now of course you can't help a bit (and more like a lot) of mental breakdown and existential crisis as your first response to something like the curse, so she definitely goes through that too, but to me chrome is the down-to-earth type of person, so she'd realize quickly she can only do her best getting over it and deal with it as best as she can, and she'd pull herself back together relatively quickly to do just that.
who'd be her fellow arco in this scenario tho? because i think it'd be really fun to play with. is it the 10th gen? or the canon arco? or even some other people?
but can you imagine chrome being an arco along the canon arco tho? her getting to interact with them, the type of dynamic she'd have with them... like idk what, but there's definitely something to do with that here. also i feel like they'd get along tbh! like, reborn would love her. verde too. and viper would take her under their wing if that one interaction in the manga they got is anything to go by.
also, what would she be known for? like, what would make her be chosen as an arco? especially when, to me, she's much like tsuna in that she doesn't care to achieve great heights like that, let alone the greatest. she only cares to have what she cares about safe and nearby and happy. tho on the other hand, she's also like tsuna in that if achieving that happens to mean she has to become one of the strongest in the world? she would not hesitate into doing just that, and i think it'd be fun to see.
what about you? how do you think arco!chrome would go?

KNY Vongola crew x Yor-like Fem Reader platonic! S/O is pretty much the only Varia member who’s not hostile towards Tsuna and his friends, even genuinely being nice and welcoming to them. I think Tsuna as a boss would be a bit relief if there was at least one Varia member who’s cooperative.
Tumblr media
Tsuna Sawada
You’re his favorite member of Varia. Though, that isn’t hard to be considering how the other members of your team are—loud, angry, downright scary.
He feels much more comfortable when you’re in the room. Tsuna knows at the end of the day, Xanxus is the one in charge of your faction of the family, and he needs to learn to deal with the violent man but it’s so much easier for him to ask you to do that for him, often leading to Reborn telling him to man up about the situation.
He prefers your methods of teaching others. You’re usually so patient, so he’s even more surprised about how strong you actually are—he doesn’t know why. He guess it’s because of your sweet nature, but then he remembers that you’re a cloud guardian—like Hibari—then it becomes more obvious that he should’ve realized how strong you were beforehand.
Hayato Gokudera
He doesn’t trust you. Go figure. He doesn’t really trust anyone in Varia further than he can throw them after the entire Ring Battle incident.
Even if you came after that incident, it’s still hard to trust you. It isn’t until you help the family in the future that he comes to have some level of respect for you.
Too bad your cooking is only better than his sister’s. You might trigger his PTSD when you offer him something to eat.
Takeshi Yamamoto
You two get along great! He’s one of the members you’re more familiar with since he was training with Captain Squalo for so long.
Takeshi likes you too, and he’s the first to vouch for you when it comes to interacting with the family.
He also tries to teach you how to cook. Luckily, sushi is one of the few things you learn how to make because it doesn’t require a stove much.
He’s definitely called you Mom by accident at least once.
Ryohei Sasagawa
Like Gokudera, he’s a bit wary of you at first but quickly warms up to your sunny nature.
Loves your cooking because it fits all his macros as a boxer. He also likes to spare hand-to-hand with you when given the chance.
He’s willing to help you with a lot of things, and he’s usually very polite to you because you remind him of his younger sister.
Overall, he has faith in your abilities when it comes to being on the battle field with you.
Hibari Kyoya
He didn’t show much interest in you at first. At least until he learns from Dino that you’re the new Cloud Guardian for the Varia. Then, he’s much more interested.
The giant machine they had masquerading as a Cloud Guardian didn’t provide entertainment for him, so he’s curious to how strong you are. To put it mildly, he wants to fight you any and every chance he gets.
He’s impressed at first that you manage to last much longer than the Gola Moska; and the next thing you know, you’re in some sort of rivalry with the other Vongola Cloud Guardian.
You don’t mind though because it’s fun to get your energy out with him, and he kind of reminds you of yourself as a spunky kid. And frankly, Dino thinks you might be just as crazy as his student is under the sweet nature. At least it stops the Bucking Horse from getting attacked instead.
Chrome Dokuro
She feels comfortable around you as another female member of the family. You’re also sweet spoken and protective of her so she feels like your family.
You do sweet things for her, like helping her with her hair, or giving her fighting advice.
However, she can still be a bit shy sometimes due to your affiliation with Varia but she does appreciate you.
Mukuro Rokudo
Unfortunately, he doesn’t carry much opinion of you.
He’s curious to the degree that he’s curious about all things, but he hasn’t marked you as someone of special interest. You’re strong but so are a lot of people.
However, he does appreciate that you’re kind to Chrome, so he has a decent relationship with you when it comes to his vessel.
Lambo
Since he’s still a little kid, it’s easy for him to adore getting your attention and having you take care of him. He feels much safer when you’re carrying him.
However, when you fight, you scare him very easily to the point he’s scampering away from you, and you have to work to get back on his good side and to remind him that you’d never hurt him like you would the enemy.
It takes time for you to learn how to get really small kids to like you, especially after feeding him some not-so-good food on accident. It’s a work in progress.

Forever? ( A KHR Fanfic)
Fandom: KHR Word Count: 1,033 Prompt: Forever? Ship: 1896 (Hibari Kyouya/Chrome Dokuro) Characters: Hibari Kyouya and Chrome Dokuro Event Host: @flufftober
"Forever?" She asked, one violet eye sparkling at his proposal, the other eye obscured by the patch she wore. Forever was quite a long time to love someone but Chrome had never once doubted Hibari's word and she never would.
Known for his cold and aloof nature, this wasn't the type of thing anyone would expect out of Hibari. Yes he'd shown Chrome kindness in the future when he saved her life after her organs failed her, but one rescue attempt didn't make a relationship. The two had been quiet about what was going on between them and some could argue they hadn't seen the signs. Stolen glances from across the room, a fierce protective and almost possessive nature when she was around him, the silent calmness between them when most others triggered his fight or flight response, it was subtle yet clear if you paid close enough attention that yes, the two had something going on between them but what it was exactly was hard to pinpoint at first glance.
Forever was indeed a long time but was it possible to love the same person forever? Undying, eternal love was something only heard of in romance novels as the facts were mortality was usually the reason several couples ended their happy loving relationships. Some couples ended due to cheating, due to financial struggle, due to their lives simply venturing off in two different directions and realizing it was time they both moved on to bigger, brighter and better things for the both of them.
A girl who didn't have a chance at life until her gang leader rescued her, and a school delinquent who no one dared mess with, earning a reputation for being the strongest and most feared in the school had seemed like quite the odd pairing to match up at first. Many wouldn't have even considered them hooking up, let alone lasting in a steady relationship. But years later, now both serving as guardians to Tsuna, Hibari and Chrome were having trouble avoiding the elephant in the room. They were in love and had denied it so long they couldn't keep their eyes off of one another.
Long stolen glances and jumping in to protect her was what started it and the only way it would end was with one of their funerals. Though Hibari never wanted to picture his life without Chrome in it, and she didn't want to think of his fate in the same tone, they both understood it was almost inevitable for them considering the lifestyle they were both involved in. Forever was a goal they both knew was unachievable so for now they were content with the rest of their lives. Marriage was till death do us part for a reason.
Both at guardian status they understood they walked with targets on their backs, Chrome having Mukuro on her side made it a little less scary for her considering she was only half of the Mist, and Hibari built his own reputation for being the lone and fierce Cloud who nothing could bind, known for his bloodthirsty ways and fear of absolutely nothing, not even death itself but it didn't make it any easier knowing every day they spent together might be the last, that the next mission one of them could go out on, might mean they may never be seen again.
Hibari took her hand and kissed it, gently running his thumb over her delicate knuckles. He loved Chrome more than anything but forever wasn't something he could promise or guarantee her and he wasn't a man to make a promise he couldn't guarantee he could keep. Forever was a wonderful thing to think about in regards to loving someone eternally, but it wasn't a plausible outcome that anyone would see without supernatural interference and immortality coming into play. He couldn't actually give her forever spent together, but he could give her the rest of his life.
However there was the concept of life after death and the fact that even if he did lose her, the higher powers forbid, he wouldn't move on to another, he'd still continue his life but Hibari knew he'd never love again. In a sense, then yes he could promise her forever, that he'd never love another than her in all the rest of his life and ever after. Forever might not be physically possible for them, but emotionally they knew they'd found their soul mates in one another.
A hand that had seen much more combat than comfort, reached out to Chrome with a gentleness he reserved for very few and pulled her close as the next slow song at the dance had started. Every eye in the room had turned to watch them, mesmerized by the energy between them it didn't take a second look to realize these two weren't just a casual date for the evening and were deeply and truly in love with one another.
"Forever, and I mean it. I promise you." He finally answered her question as the music drowned out the crowd around them and his focus went to her and only her. Arms wrapped around each other, romantic gaze fixated on the other, Hibari loved Chrome and he didn't care right now who witnessed it.
Even if this was the last night they had with one another and he were to be killed on his next mission, it was well worth it knowing Chrome was his and she loved and cherished and needed him and only him and no other man for the rest of both their lives. He might not have physically been able to promise her forever especially in regards to their line of work and the dangers attached to the mafia, but his love for her would linger on even in the event of his death he'd never let go of her making forever an achievable dream for the both of them.
However every girl can be filled with doubts, and Hibari knew that was what was on Chrome's mind when she told him, "Kyouya, don't lie to me."
He shook his head and kissed her tenderly. "I'm not lying. Forever, and I mean it."

Angstober - Day 16 - No One Else To Turn To @angstober
Hibari Kyoya was a prideful man, one who would never ask for help or even accept help unless it was to repay some help that he gave before or was forced upon him.
Hibari Kyoya also hated with everything within him a man called Rokudo Mukuro his hate came from a lost battle that he never accepted as he thought that illusions were cheap cheats and so that his loss shouldn't have been counted.
With that said there was one more certainty about Hibari Kyoya.
Hibari Kyoya was obsessed with keeping the order and the building of Namimori High School perfect. As the head prefect, he made sure that everything was smooth that every student followed the rules, and even kept the troublesome students in check.
Students were scared of him, and adults feared him and respected him. The school was sacred and if Hibari Kyoya wasn't in the school he was at his home, only in those two places. Sometimes he was found in the streets, subjugating scoundrels from another school who talked bad about his school.
"His school", because Namimori High School was his, and no one else. The order to keep it running as smoothly as possible was for him and no one else. The head prefect kept tabs on all students and professors, even if they came from Kokuyo.
Dokuro Chrome, the new girl, the newly transferred student. She came around a few months back and while Hibari had everything against a certain illusionist, he had nothing against the girl.
The girl was shy, often quiet, and introverted, and the only people she talked to sometimes were Sasagawa Kyoko and Tsuna, she did absolutely nothing against him. So there was no reason for Hibari Kyoya to have resentments or not help her if she needed to.
So that is why, that is the only reason why, he was currently carrying Chrome's body all across the city to Kokuyo land. The place he vowed never ever step in again, the place he knew that the pineapple illusionist would be, the place that the person he hated the most would be.
Taking a long breath as his weapons were secured between his skin and his shirt still, making sure that Chrome was comfortable in his arms. There was only one reason for him to bring her back there, especially now that she was using the Namimori female uniform.
He kicks the door to the grand theater where he finds the Male Mist Guardian. We need to talk. Does Hibari actually want to talk with Mukuro? Never. But is he going to? Yes. Looking around there weren't many places he could let Chrome's body rest other than the floor and that? He wasn't going to do it. Instead, he was just going to hold Chrome's body.
"Oya Oya, what a great honor ~"
Hibari was annoyed just by looking at Mukuro's smug face, but he tried to control it as best as he could. Why did you leave her? What was the use of talking with the Illusionist? There was no reason for Hibari to go out of his way to talk with the other, he had no noble reason.
"Because she has no more use" Yet something twisted inside of him when he heard that answer, he felt somewhat pissed at Mukuro, still trying to control his anger though. You sure are full of bullshit huh?
"What do you mean?" The satisfaction of seeing Mukuro confused was short-lived, after all, his blood was slowly boiling at the other's words, sure Hibari felt annoyed and angry with the Illusionist every time he saw him, but this time, it was because of the girl still in the Cloud's arms. There is no way, you would leave someone as strong as her. So why did you leave her and pushed to Namimori?
Mukuro was annoyed, not only he wasn't sure what the Cloud Guardian wanted, but he was also not sure where this conversation was going. Not only that, it felt like Hibari knew something and wasn't telling, but instead, he was showing it. And his pride? Couldn't handle that. "... For a cloud you sure are curious."
Hibari shook his head, walking towards the door and letting Chrome's body there, going back to the middle and then pulling his tonfas out. Rokudo Mukuro, fight me. His blood was boiling, it would be better explaining in a fight than in words between the two.
Confusion hit the Illusionist, in a way it took way too long for Hibari to ask for a fight so now he was really not sure. There were so many questions going around in his mind. He couldn't help but voice one of them. Why? It wouldn't be entertaining
Without a warning, Hibari advanced towards Mukuro, intending to hit his body with the tonfa, not using any cloud as they always went only physical power from the starter. Yet where normally they both once held the same grounding, seemed like something changed drastically, as Mukuro was getting hit by the tonfa.
The illusionist frowned at that, the physical between them was balanced in that aspect so, losing to him in that sucked a lot. He felt annoyed, as he kept trying and trying to wing against those dammit Tonfa! But all he could get was either get hit or not landing his own hits. That is when he started to use the Mist Flames and illusions.
And even then, the Cloud Guardian used both flames, and yet the results kept being the same, as Hibari was dodging or ignoring the attacks. Something changed and bad, as Mukuro was losing to Hibari.
You are weaker. Hibari said once he stopped at a safe distance, not even sweating, something in his made Mukuro scowl, not liking any bit of it. "What?" His voice came out bitter as he tried another attack, only to be met by Kyoya's tonfa hitting the side of his stomach.
You were stronger before, now? Now you are weaker. That statement made the Cloud, hold his weapons back to the place he normally hides in his clothes as he looks at Mukuro, shaking his head.
"... How?" Hibari saw how much Mukuro was hurt about the difference between them now, but there was room for the Illusionist to get on equal grounds again. Although Hibari hated to ask for help, he knew he wouldn't create that big gap between them if it wasn't for that Bronco or the fights between Vongola and the rest. And he intended to pay back, every single one who "helped" him. You never realized it? You need Chrome the same way she needs you.
Hearing that, the Cloud jumped from the place he was and then closed his eyes, as the illusion that hit him didn't affect him. "That is a lie! I don't need her!" The frustration built up on the Illusionist's face, not only his pride being hurt but the fact because he didn't want to bring Chrome to his revenge he was weaker? He wouldn't be able to act his revenge without her?! That was bullshit!
But you do and until you realize it? There is no reason to fight you. Hibari opens his eyes and lands a kick in Mukuro's stomach, making the Illusionist fly back to the couch he was sitting before. Until you realize that...
"There is no one else to turn to..." Mukuro says the words as he sits down, hands over his face as he hears Hibari leaving. "Fuck." His shoulders fall, as the whole fight disappears from him as he thinks over and over about Hibari's words. The Cloud was right, if he wanted to be stronger to where no one could defeat him, he needed Chrome, but how that is fair? How is fair to drag an innocent girl to Mafia?! Just so he could get his revenge?!
A grunt, made him look at the girl's body, slowly moving to sit down. Mukuro took a deep breath, the talk he had previously with the female made him realize one thing. "You knew..."
Chrome blinked as she took her surroundings, getting up and walking towards Mukuro, stopping in front of him, as she nodded. Yes. I got stronger when I realized there was no one else to turn to, only Mukuro-sama. When we work together we are stronger. If we get along, we might be the strongest. But if we keep separated? I'm not sure...
The words of the younger illusionist hit him, similar to what the Cloud just said. "....... Why he?" He couldn't understand why Hibari would take his time to go there and even bring Chrome with him, he could understand Hibari going there to fight him, but all he read from the whole interaction was that Hibari was there to actually help him.
Because the idea of you being weak annoys him... He wants a fair fight, he wants the best you can be... Chrome points out the fact that before she passed out, she did fight Hibari a little, where he probably noticed the difference. Or something small, yet the girl didn't expect him to carry her all the way there. But knowing the Cloud, that whole act made her realize how the older actually cares and takes care.
"... We need to talk." Mukuro words sounded dejected and tired, but holding the acceptance and even opening a connection. Yes, we do. Chrome nods and just sits next to him on the couch, as they really had a lot to make amends and to bond together if they wanted to be their best, they would need to talk... And a lot.
Hibari looked back at the entrance of Kokuyo land, he was prideful and never asked for help, he hated a man called Rokudo Mukuro, but sure he was obsessed with keeping his school organized and in order.
But he also didn't want the person he hated to be so weak. This is my payback for not directly killing me in our first battle. The head prefect smirks and goes back on the walk to his school, as he sees the yellow canary flying over and singing the Namimori Anthem.

grave robbing, necromancy, and a cat
Author: @lunalyse
Rating: G Relationships: Kozato Enma & Chrome Dokuro Prompt: Day 2 - Corpse Retrieval Tags/Warnings: Alternate Universe - Magic, No Major Warnings Apply
Enma meets the eyepatched girl at the shady, back alley necromancy shop the next day. She has a suspiciously large suitcase with her, he has his unfortunately dusty duffel bag, and the shopkeeper asks if they robbed the same graveyard.
“No,” they reply at the same time.
Besides, it’s not robbing if the body always belonged to him. He’s just taking it back.

for the ask game! Chrome x Haru?
Ship it.
What made you ship it?
So a while back when I was but a young lesbian I really wanted Chrome to be this character who was dealt the compulsory heterosexuality card and I think Haru would definitely work well as the character who broke the lesbian dam. Why? Because Chrome needs someone like Haru in her life. Someone determined enough to go after the people she loves, someone enthusiastic about her hobbies and so very individualistic. Similarly, Chrome has been dealt such a life that I think getting involved with Haru, would make Haru start to realize that life isn't all fun and games. The mafia is more real than she thought, the life of a mafia wife could be dangerous, and Tsuna is trying to keep her away from it. Maybe she could look towards someone who is still exciting---she wields a trident! she can battle!--- but would still protect her (after all, that's why she fell in love with Tsuna) without keeping her in the dark.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
There's at least one AU out there where Haru canonically convinces Chrome Dokuro to wear a godzilla costume, and it's in my heart.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Hmm, I ship it but there's times where I'm not super into it? I think its because its more of a casual light yuri pairing rather than something that is super fun to play with in AUs and other settings. "Post-canon Daily Arc 2: Electric Boogaloo" vibes.
They should definitely both become magical girls, tho. lets be real.

CHROME MASTERLIST
Chrome Dokuro is originally a young girl who Mukuro happened to come across in his astral projection travels.  She suffered grievous wounds when she rescued a cat from getting run over.  He found a way to let Chrome live without Chrome having to die because her mother refused to donate.  He knows Chrome’s dead name and is the only one who can use it.  In exchange for living, Chrome must fight.  She joined the Vongola as Mukuro’s stand-in for the Mist Flame Guardian.

Day 3 prompt 3 nr 4 - vongola squad and anyone else you really wanna add
Of course, my lovely! Thank you so much for sending in this request; it took me some time to really settle down on things for some characters, but it was interesting to think about such small little tidbits for these wonderful characters! I hope you’ll enjoy what my brain came up with!
Your character has to leave the house shortly and they have very little time to prepare. What’s the one thing they will choose over others – breakfast, washing their hair, painting their nails, replying to e-mails, etc.?
TSUNA
Tsuna is used to being forced to leave the house in pretty short notice, so he’s gotten really skilled at quickly getting ready. When this happens to him, it’s a case of getting dressed and making sure he’s wearing clean underwear, getting his wallet, giving his mom a heads up that he’s going out, and then shoes and any outdoor clothes he might need.
The most important thing to him though is to ensure, beyond all else, that he has his copy of the house key with him. Even if he’s heading out with someone else who would have the house key, Tsuna needs to know that he has his own house key with him, just in case the two of them get separated, get into an argument, or the other person needs him to run back to the house for something.
He has experienced being locked out of his house in his childhood and it terrified him a little. It’s not something he wants to ever repeat because it was scary but even worse, it was so humiliating.
GOKUDERA
There’s a lot of small little things that Gokudera insists on doing before he leaves the house, even if it makes him a little late. Because the weather in Japan can get chilly, and because temperatures fluctuate pretty quickly, Gokudera likes to have layers. Not only does he have to quickly figure out a base outfit but the proper layers for it.
He also makes sure he has an extra pack of cigarettes, as a ‘just in case’ moment, along with a fresh, unused lighter. He’s been stuck without cigarettes and especially without a lighter because of people punking his lighter or it accidentally slipping out of his pocket, and he knows both things suck.
He will make sure he has the other necessary things for him to leave the house with – his keys, his phone, a hair tie,  a coin purse, etc.
He also absolutely makes sure to put on anti-perspirant and a body spray for males that he likes before he leaves the house. He’s not stupid and knows that most places are scent-free environments, so he’s careful not to put too much of either thing on and keeps the scents hie wears kind refined and understated.
YAMAMOTO
Okay, hear me out here, because this is a weird one that makes a lot of sense once you know the context.
Even if the house is completely empty, even if he hasn’t lived with anyone for years and years, Yamamoto always gives a cheerful ‘be back soon’ when he leaves the house and a grinning ‘I’m home!’ every time he comes back home.
Like I said, there could be absolutely nobody there to hear it, but it’s pretty much a force of habit at this point. During Yamamoto’s youth, he remembered his dad doing this a lot, both at home and on the job. When Tsuyoshi explains to Yamamoto the importance of doing things like that, how good it can be for your mental health and letting go of the crap from the day, so you don’t poison the household by bringing in all that shit from your day, it makes a lot of sense to Takeshi. He’s been doing both of those things pretty much shortly after he is born and it won’t stop, even if his father dies, even if he’s alone.
Takeshi will pass this tradition on to his own children, if he finds himself blessed with them.
RYOHEI
Ryohei’s someone who does get up quite early. It is really surprising for him to be running short of time prior to leaving the house, so this isn’t a choice he would make often. It’s far more likely for Ryohei to run late because he’s gotten caught up in his training, got into a fight, or encountered a slight issue on a mission.
If someone surprises him by telling him they need to leave for something really quickly, Ryohei’s got a very mundane superpower. He can get ready so damn fast. It’s really a little ridiculous. Ten minutes or less and the boy is dressed, deodorant is on, hair is combed, and he has his wallet in his pocket – everything he needs before leaving the house, pretty much.
If he can only pick one thing to do before he leaves the house though, Ryohei would have to go with deodorant any time. Putting on deodorant before going out in public should be absolutely necessary, though Ryohei could just hold this opinion because of his own super-keen sense of smell that makes him really susceptible to other’s body odors. He never wants that stinky person disrupting other’s days with their stench and it’s better safe than sorry.
LAMBO
Lambo likes to think that, if he had the choice of what to do before leaving the house, he would make sure to shower and put on decent clothes every time before going out.
The truth of the matter is he panics about having to get ready so quickly. He rushes to get ready and looks a little disheveled leaving. It’s also guaranteed he forgets at least one thing at home, even though his last act before leaving the house is always to pat himself down, pretty much, at least 81000 times to double-check that he has everything he needs.
HIBARI
In all honesty, Hibari doesn’t really rush anywhere. If, for some reason, he did need to get ready and leave in less time than it would take him to get properly ready, he’s going to be really pissed, so I pity the poor person who has made him rush like that.
While Hibari tends to buck against a lot of what society says is correct and acceptable, in some ways he’s rather staunchly traditional in his views. One of those views, and the one that impacts his day-to-day life and this question, is his views around what is and is not acceptable clothes to be seen in public in.
Hibari’s not a vain man, not in his looks, but he is a man with a lot of self-respect. To him, leaving the house in anything less than clean, neat, and proper clothes is disrespectful not only to the people who are also outside but is a huge sign of self-disrespect, like you don’t deserve to look your best.
Because of this, the absolute one thing he must do before leaving the house is that Hibari must get changed into proper clothes. The only time he allows himself to be seen in things he considers ‘unproper’ is when he’s in the hospital, healing and recuperating, or when he’s become exceptionally close to someone.
MUKURO
Mukuro doesn’t let himself be rushed out of his residence. If someone tries to force plans on him last minute, without giving him enough time to prepare himself, he just doesn’t show up. He has no time for that much added stress and people are meant to bend to his whims, not the other way around.
Because he always makes sure that he has the time necessary to prepare to leave the house (except in exceptional cases such as an enemy attack), Mukuro doesn’t really have to worry about much leaving the house. He does always make sure that he has his weapons on him and that nobody did anything stupid like leaving the water running or such…it wouldn’t be the first time someone did that and he’d like to prevent any further damages to the property.
CHROME
If Chrome is living somewhere with a locking door (i.e.: anywhere other than Kokuyo Land), she does have things she absolutely must do before she leaves. She always makes sure that all of the lights are off and the stove isn’t on.
When she finally gets out the door and locks up, it’s almost a compulsion but she has to try the doorknob out at least two or three times, putting her body weight into it at least one of those tries, just to reassure her brain that the door is indeed firmly locked and that her home will be safe.

For the one word wip ask game:
Amber
Hmmm, decisions, decisions. Ya know what? Let's do both! I have one for next year's June of Doom and another WIP that exists just for funsies:
Amber eyes look up and finally make eye contact with brown.
Looking over her shoulder, Chrome stops walking for moment to take in the way the sun reflects off Kyoko’s hair, turning it a glowing golden amber to match her shining eyes.

I want your opinion do you think Tsuna friends are selfish? I sometimes do have this sort of frustration sometimes when the cast of khr kind of ignore Tsuna squeamish about him not wanting to be a mafia boss.
hi nonny, thank you for the ask!
no i don't, not at all!!! and i totally get why one would think that, and it’s not actually the first time i come across this take, but--okay, how do i even say this?
i feel like whenever we talk about this we always forget the guardians are also being forced into this whole mafia thing, in their own ways. like, they’re kids too having their hands forced by people so much stronger than them. take gokudera for example, when reborn of all people asks him to show up to namimori. well, what the hell else was he supposed to do but show up independently of how he felt about it??
and okay, just get this please, but reborn picks them and throws them in tsuna’s life as possible fitting guardians first and foremost to begin with. like, it’s never about them becoming his friends, and in fact it’s tsuna who then earns their friendship all by himself and actually makes them stay by his side. and what i’m saying is that his guardians are used as both the carrot and the stick for tsuna to do something about all the mafia shit they keep throwing at him and get himself involved more and more in it even if it’s the last thing he wants, but tsuna is used as their carrot and stick too so they'll help him do all of that, instead of backing down from the whole thing the way they could much easier than tsuna at the very least.
and because when it comes to them the focus isn’t on people so much more powerful than them/power so inescapable forcing their hands like reborn/vongola with tsuna, it’s easy to think they’re actually perfectly okay with all of it, but it’s like. well, they are willing to be a part of all of it, but for tsuna. because they know tsuna has no way out of it. so of course they’re willing and happy to be there for him through it all at the very least, and help him survive the whole thing, because they’re his friends. and they’re good friends too. so it has much less to do with them wanting to become and being okay with being mafia (tho for sure, some of them are more or less okay with that), and much more (and first and foremost) with them wanting to be there for tsuna and being okay with the fact that in this case, it means becoming mafia as much as tsuna himself is being forced to become mafia too at the very least.
because they’re good friends to him nonny, do you hear me!!! but they’re also all middle schoolers, and they’re all making friends for the first time too in their own ways, so of course they’re clumsy with it at times, especially seeing the circumstances in which they’re making friends. and they’re also hurtful and careless with each other at times too, and as an example i’m thinking of gokudera keeping calling tsuna tenth even if tsuna explicitly says he doesn’t want him to, because i know it’s often held against him, and as much as i’m not saying it shouldn’t be held against him, i am saying the intention is never to hurt each other or force their wants on each other. they’re always well-meaning even in their mistakes and in learning to become better friends for each other.
i also think it’s quite unfair to call them selfish for deciding to have tsuna back even if they have an easier way out of the whole thing than him should they want it to, because, like. they make sacrifices of their own too to be able to have his back. ryohei with inevitably ending up involving kyoko in this whole mess, yams with losing his dad in the future arc even if they managed to undo it in the end, lambo giving up on his chance of having a normal childhood, chrome giving up on her civilian life even if it’s much more for mukuro than for tsuna, and mukuro “giving up” on his revenge on the mafia to an extent. (and i can’t come up with anything for hibari and gokudera off the top of my head right now, but still, still!!!)
i just? again i want to say this is a very valid interpretation of their attitudes, but i just want to make you consider this other interpretation i feel is just as valid, and yet never considered somehow lol?
but yes, no i don’t think they’re selfish for dealing with suddenly getting dragged into the mafia as best as they can (for those who weren’t already mafia before anyway); yes i do get it’s frustrating it’s easier on them to make peace with that when for them the question is "do i want to stand by tsuna through this?" and less "am i okay with the mafia turning my life upside-down and putting at risk everything i care about?" like it is for tsuna, and so they come as tactless/hurtful towards him because they don’t realize it is (and unfortunately they weren’t made to grow out of it); but yes i firmly believe their friendship is very much an equal one and equally supportive on both sides despite it.

If I ever rant abt chrome it’s gonna be thirty paragraphs about how delusional anyone who thinks she would actually be a guardian is bc that girl reps kokuyo and only showed up to the Vongola because Mukuro told her to while he was in prison because he wanted the ring for the power (which he gets and keeps once he gets out). + it’s always been kinda interesting to me that in the future and they didn’t bat an eye when she disappeared for five years bc she’s always been Mukuros leased help to them. you’re telling me Five Years in she hasn’t built anything that warrants a little checking in with the guardians having probably showed up for them a thousand times to help out. Tsuna habitually checks in on her as a teen but I guess that side of him disappears. They just weren’t phased by her absence. Didn’t need a mist at all? But also, she didn’t care enough about leaving the Vongola behind to check in. she has always shown her allegiance to Kokuyo despite the Vongola being way nicer to her and is always carefully isolated in a way that leads directly to kokuyo. Hibari is aloof, but Vongola none the less, constantly shows up around them even has his base attached to theirs. She’s really an outsider to the mafia and the family in general and I wonder if there’s supposed to be a deeper story to that.
Also I kinda like this moment bc it kinda puts in to perspective for me that she likes these people because they are things Mukuro wants/needs and ultimately that’s what she’s all about if she’s gonna fight for anyone.

Also this is a personal opinion and I don’t actually care to the point of thinking someone’s delusional for seeing it another way pls don’t take that seriously 💀💀💀
