One Police Plaza was generally a place that Owen opted to avoid on most occasions, when he could. While he was normally an outstanding citizen by the majority of definitions, there was always that small snag about his side job that made his qualifications just a bit murky, and being remotely close to a police stations made him a bit paranoid about seeming guilty on sight. But Nova, who had been ever so helpful the past few weeks, had forgotten her purse and a few manila folders in the hallway as she was rushing out the door. He couldn’t leave her stranded like that. And so, plucking up his courage, he stepped foot into the frightening building and meandered his way into what he hoped was the Homicide Unit.

Unfortunately, Owen had been so remarkably good at avoiding One Police Plaza that he hadn’t the slightest clue about where he was going. As he stepped into a bustling office, purse in hand and looking thoroughly lost, he decided that now was as good a time as any to figure his way around. “Er, pardon me, Sir.” He approached the nearest desk, where a tall, but relatively friendly-looking bloke was currently sitting. “You wouldn’t happen to know if this is Homicide, would you? I’m ah, looking for Miss Wells and I think I might have missed a floor or something along those lines.”

·  ·  ·   elsie had her fair share of run ins with nypd officials and the likes. considering she had to go through her husbands death which she believed to be a horrible hoax of sorts or the workings of a rival mob, but with no evidence she couldn’t entertain the idea. however things came to light when her uncle was faced with elsie herself. a knife to his throat. so being that the memories weren’t ones she’d like to remember, she avoided the nypd.

funny how she had to deal with one now. from what she could gather from one christian bennet, he had been through just as much shit as she had been through. filled with the idea of a loved one still out there somewhere. 

grabbing a glass of champaign from a nearby waiter, elsie made her way to the male, gauging his every move before moving in. she accidentally bumped into the detective, making it oblivious to the other the move was in fact on purpose.

Claire walked down the sidewalk quickly, mind completely honed in on a recording that played on a loop on her headphones. The feed was staticky -- she could only make out a few words, before it hissed again and cut to a sentence several moments later. She swore she could make out words like deal, and supplier, but after over an hour of listening to it, that was all. It was supposed to be a lead -- delivered to her anonymously, so she couldn’t even ask what the hell it was supposed to be. 

She was so lost in thought she almost didn’t notice Detective Barnes through the window of Sunny Maria’s. A curly haired, blonde waitress placed a coffee cup in front of him, then spun on her heels with a smile and went to another table. Claire, who has walked several feet past the window, back tracked, and stopped in front of him. With a happy to see me? smile, she knocked twice on the glass, before she was slipping inside and across from Christian. 

“Little late in the afternoon for coffee, isn’t it? Have a late night, Barnes?”

All Santiago knew was that he was exhausted. Exhausted beyond reason. If Mia hadn’t woke them up with a scream, he might not have noticed anything. He would have just assumed he was having a Bad Day. Instead, having exhausted every other opinion, Santi realized that he was human. This wasn’t the worst option but it also wasn’t the best. Being without the powers of a werewolf meant that his condition was hitting him full force. To cope, he was trying to light a cigarette as he walked across the palace grounds. He had offered to check on things for Mia. Mostly, he just needed to get out of the estate and get some air. 

His hands were shaking so badly that he couldn’t get his match to light and stay that way. “Mierda,” he muttered as another dropped into the dust. “This better not be permant,” Santi said and while he tried to light another, bumped into someone. “I’m sorry,” he said, first in Spanish and then in English as he stumbled back. “I should be looking where I’m going.” @christianvbennet

Carmen had made a habit of seeking Christian out before council meetings. Being a werewolf representative was not a responsibility she took lightly. Carmen poured her heart and soul into being someone that the pack could count on to insure their voices were heard. But with the title of council representative came worry and self doubt. Sometimes Carmen would get so stuck in her head about letting her pack down that her judgement would get clouded. That’s why her talks with Christian were so important to her. Her Alpha was always there to listen and offered advice to help ease her mind.

She had also made a habit of bringing his favorite sweet treat to their meetings as compensation for his guidance, something that Christian insisted she didn’t need to do but she always did anyway to see him smile.

“Guess who!” Carmen chirped brightly, holding the box of chocolate cupcakes she had brought for him behind her back. “How did training go this morning?” She asked, failing miserably to hide the mischievous smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

favorite brotps?

Baby and Ana make a quite formidable pair--perhaps opposites attract in the best of ways? I’m also keen on seeing more of Christian and Thomas’ close relationship; once you make friends in the NYPD, you make friends for life. The Chinese Triad has their own fair share of tight-knit relationships, but none that intrigue me quite as much as that of Taika and Henry. Henry’s gone to bat for Taika more than once in the past, but will things get shaken up now that the diamond war has officially begun? Catarina and Viktor also have a close and special relationship; I wonder if he’ll ever realize that her feelings aren’t entirely platonic?

What are your coworkers like?

“Good people, honestly. They’re all quality. Absolutely insane, of course; the NYPD is full of people who are wild as hell. But that’s what makes them good at their jobs, I think.
