being co-alpha was a lot more work that saf had ever intended her life to have. work that was appreciated, important and she adored endlessly. she’d never been an alpha, not in any aspect of her life but now that she was here, there was no other way for her to be. in the palace, of all places. the young brunette never had dreams as big as such and never anticipated for this to be in the cards for her.
they’d talked earlier, to find a time to just catch up and fill each other in on any details they’d missed. or anything and everything. she trusted her fellow, she trusted him with her life; after all, christian was the only one who could ease the stress and responsibility of being alpha. they’d agreed to meet in an area between their quarts, so that’s where safiya sat, rising with a smile when she saw the man. ‘christian, hey. been a while. did you get taller?’ she teased with a crinkle of her nose, sitting down once again.

set: saturday afternoon, january 23rd location: myriad cafe availability: closed | @detectiveruiz
He had spent the morning with Maya, while jogging, which she surprisingly accepted to go through without sharing a list of complaints as to why waking up early to exercise was against the rules in the mind of that teenager. James was, above it all, glad that she had accepted his idea; he wanted to be a presence in her life, whenever he had some free time to share with Maya in order to be around his teenage girl, talking about life was interesting and funny while it lasted. Because with time, she was growing older and all Maya wanted to do was to be with her friends, attend a party, have lunch with them, study for something else or just spend an entire weekend in one of her friend’s houses. Today, it would be the latter. And while she headed someplace else, he moved inside Myriad’s.
James left the table for a second, to grab another cup of coffee and when he moved back to the table, he didn’t notice that he was sitting at the wrong one. He didn’t notice the person sitting in front of him at first, since James had his eyes on his phone, and when his light hues finally noticed the other man he laughed. Of course he’d do something like that, it was typical of him when he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings. “You. I didn’t mean to disturb, I-” he restrained himself from saying he’d go to his table. Because not only the cafe was crowded that day, but someone was there already. Fuck. “Do you mind having some company? Because...” he looked around to share the reason why it’d be wiser to either way at that table or just walk away from the establishment, in case the other man declined his company and James wouldn’t die of embarrassment.

Walking up to what she assumed was the right villa, Blue hesitantly raised her hand, rapping her knuckles against the wooden door. As she stepped back and waited, she couldn’t entirely refrain from pacing a bit. These days half of her interactions with others felt.. awfully loaded. And as it were the brunette did not exactly feel another loaded interaction or conversation was what she needed. However, she had put this off for a little while, also to give the pirate in question the opportunity to reach out first, but now it felt like it was time. Once the door swung open, she found herself awkwardly waving. “Uhm hi. I’m Blue. You’re Christian right?”
