Favorite Scene: All the teachers in the library. That scene was so chaotic, and we got Barbara Howard proposing chicanery!!

Final Thoughts: I’m really hoping that this isn’t the end of the charter drama even if it’s a temporary resolution! It’s such an interesting conflict, and it’d be fun to see it played with a little more. Loved the camaderie between the teachers in this episode—how they were all on the same page and working together for this cause and school that they believe in. This was a very feel good episode for our favorite work family. ☺️

Both the Left and Right on social media today are so full of racism, misogynoir and ableism over the slap, man. Either it's holier-than-thou people gasping "how dare Will Smith be VIOLENT ever, especially at our stuffy, white, CIVILIZED Oscars," or it's smelly men saying Jada didn't deserve any defense because she's been unfaithful. Y'know, the "I'm excused for using misogyny against 'bad' women" thing they all leap for.

Like, we knew racist conservatives would have problems, but it's funny to see liberal men go from being pretend allies with, "Men should confront other men when they're disrespectful to women," to "NO, NOT IN A WAY THAT MATTERS!" lmao cowards.

Then you have the subset of failed comedians shaking, like "WHAT IF OTHERS THINK IT'S OKAY TO HIT US ON STAGE?" Well, maybe insult comics who can't fill a set with their own jokes and instead resort to making fun of their crowd's looks are crusty hacks. (Hecklers are different; you handle those however you want.) Especially if you're just a guest on a larger stage and the crowd didn't specifically agree to be at your stale show.

And do you know how OLD and irrelevant a G.I. Jane joke is?? People ran that joke dead back when I was still a kid. Might as well have brought up Sinead O'Connor. I never had anything against Chris Rock, I think. In fact, I feel a little bad he got smacked in front of so many people, but he didn't have an ounce of hesitation coming for Jada in front of so many people either. He doesn't live under a rock, okay? He knew.

Out of all of Chris' characters and Sebastian's characters, who do you think is the most sensitive, sweet and artistically/musically inclined (even if they've never showed it and it's deep down), and they'd be supportive and protective for the one they love most in the world??

For Chris Evans characters, I feel like the choice here for artistically/musically inclined will have to be Steve Rogers, Nick Vaughn and Colin Shea. Two of those men showed talent in their stories with there instruments, and we all know Steve Rogers loves to draw (which I would have loved to see it showed more in his movies specifically because I feel like it would have really shown a personal side outside of Captain America that we deserved.) 

Most sensitive, even when trying to hide it... Frank Adler. Seeing him break down a few times trying to cope with the trial and his own personal criss’s of  “was he good enough to raise Mary.” just really shows how important it is to raise this little person to be the most she can be. Plus he not only saved Fred the cat, he took all the cats that were supposed to be euthanized that day. Also last thought on the subject of Frank, it does take some finesse to be a mechanic, and he was into philosophy... I am sure this man does have a artistic side to him. 

Im also going to put Jimmy Dobyne in the most sensitive category, even though he hides it. Taking care of his alcoholic father, mother in a mental institue, basically gives up “happiness” to do what he has to do to surivive. One last romp with an ex flame as a way to say goodbye. When his character was called into question by Willow, he took it extremely personal. He a sensitive boy way down deep.

Supportive as all hell, damn I see Jake Jensen rolling that way. “You wanna do that babes, hell lets go all the way.” He just seems like that kinda guy who rolls with it, no matter how crazy it might sound. 

Also Colin Shea gets the shout to in this area, cause he was all for supporting Ally with her figurines, even wired up all the lights to showcase them for her because he saw how important they were to her. I can see him in the long run always encouraging whatever you wanted to try. Going as far as setting up work space for you and buying any material you might need. 

Protective. Okay, Steve obviously. I can see Ransom being over protective over in a way that benefits him, of course the moment you two are not an item, he pretends not to give a shit. (that might just be a Amber Fantasy, not gonna lie.)  Curtis, started a whole revolution just to take care of the tail end from the front end. Andy did everything he could to prove Jacob as innocent (Idc that boy did it.) 

And the ones I think are the most sacraficing? Im gonna say Mike Weiss, Ari Levinson, and Curtis Everett in this one. Mike with that drive to tackle the underdog cases, even going broke and being threatened. It might have started more as a challenge for him, but in the end I feel like he did it with the mindset that this wasnt right and people deserve better. Ari dedicates his life to saving people. And Curtis ended up destroying his arm and using his body as a shield to save Yona and Timmy. Steve as well gets a shout out, he doesnt like bullies and underwent a scientific experiment to defend people. 

Who has it all? I could probably talk myself into finding all those aspects in most of his characters because I live in a fantasy world in my head. LMAO. But Im gonna say Steve really hits all of them in some way. 

Sebastian Stan, Ive only seen a handful of characters, Bucky Barnes, Charles Blackwood and Jeff Gillooly. Which Charles and Jeff didnt have many redeeming qualities.

Survivor Winners at War Finale Recap

If I think too hard about the fact that I’m finally--after all these years--caught up with Survivor, I’m gonna start crying. Took a pandemic for it to happen, but hey! WatW Finale time!

And what better way to start the finale of the biggest season yet than by reminding us all that we’re in a fUCKING PANDEMIC! That’s right, babey, we’re in Probst’s garage and we got the gang on the Zoom call but we can’t have a reunion because we didn’t pay for Zoom premium so this shit’s gonna get cut off at 40 minutes.

LOOK AT EVERYONE IN THEIR STUPID LITTLE ZOOM SQUARES I’M SO MAD LMAO. Nah, I get why they really couldn’t have a reunion, it would be wayyyy to awkward and just so many things could go wrong if everyone’s relying on their wifi and such...but MAN, what if someone’s pet walked into the shot? WE GOT MEGA ROBBED.

(Also, ok. Who’s not wearing pants? Y’all can’t fool me, lmao. Also wait, do Rob and Amber own two of the same wall hangings? Sophie just said FUCK IT I’LL BE IN THE GARDEN, we stan).

ANYWAY BACK TO THE GAME.

But yeah, we start right with the comeback challenge, at which my friend and I were like “Ok, this is Natalie’s challenge to lose”...and yeah, she won!

But then again, it was pretty close! She really struggled in some parts because I’m sure the nerves and the pressure of having bought three advantages was really getting to her, but in the end, she got the ball puzzle thing and won her ticket back into the game (thank god it wasn’t Wendell or my mom would have teased me SO HARD).

And remember when this thing started, that I was actually rooting for Nat to win?...Well, yeah, not anymore, really. I just don’t want anyone from the Edge to win, be it Nat or anyone else. I did want her to come back, just...not win the whole thing. Especially Natalie, who was first out. It just...feels weird. I can forgive Chris King of the Edge in his season cause...they’re mostly new players and he did everything he could to be the most deserving person in the end (Like...Gavin or Julie? Nah, Chris won). But in an all winners season? Where so much stuff happened? It just wouldn’t be satisfying, at least for me.

BUT MOVING ON!

Nat starts saying that everyone on the Edge is like “Ooh, Tony’s gonna win! He’s so gonna win!” so she can, y’know...try to get the target off of her and also target the pERSON WHO’S PLAYED A GREAT GAME.

And then...I don’t know why Sarah is so convinced that Natalie doesn’t have an idol when she clearly does. I mean, we only see the edit so who knows...but daaaamn, that’s gonna be costly!

Challenge time, and it’s the “go on different stations to get puzzle pieces and then do the puzzle” one (Also, I just discovered challenges have names...which I will Not learn, whoops). The puzzle, turns out, is the one where they stack little cilinders and build a three tiered tower...the one Michele won in Kaoh Rong. The first thing my friend says is “Oh, Michele’s gonna win this one again cause she remembers”, and I’m like haha good one...

And then Michele does the puzzle faster than everyone and wins it.

KICK IT.

So Tony wants to vote for Denise, or at least split it Denise-Natalie in case Nat has an idol--SHE DOES--but I think Sarah and Ben are just...convinced she doesn’t. Still, the guys have idols for themselves, so...

In TC, Sarah gives a really good talk on gender biases and the double standards that women who play Survivor have to face--and of course in real life as well--, and I thought that was a very honest, very powerful thing (and yEAH maybe I was snapping my fingers along, she fucking SAID IT).

AND WE GET BIG ALLY BEN WITH HIS “we should respect women because they’re our mothers and daughters” I’M DKJDFHKDJ

he’s a little bit confused but he’s got the spirit alright, king of feminism let’s go (i’m obviously joking, his heart was very much in the right place, it just seemed like baby’s first feminism dfkjdfkj).

So they vote, and then IT’S IDOL TIME, BABEY. Nat plays it for herself--and Tony goes TOLD YOU SO--, then Tony plays his and Ben also plays his. The votes end up being for Ben and Nat, so no votes, so the four that are safe have to pick between Denise and Sarah, and if they tie, the girls go to a firemaking challenge.

In the end, everyone votes for Denise, which I guess yeah, cause Nat did want to work with Sarah, so yeah. Bye, Da Knees :(

At night, Tony makes a fucking pORTABLE FIRE TORCH to go look for the idol (and I bet he had the firefighter crew right behind him cause YOU’RE GONNA BURN DOWN FIJI OH GOD NO), but he can’t find it, and it’s Natalie that eventually finds the new idol!

Tony ends up winning the next immunity challenge (ok, challenge beast!), so you know what happens when he is safe...IT’S TONY TIME, IT’S SPY NEST TIME.

So Sarah goes with Nat to talk under the Spy Nest...and what the fuck Natalie has her idol in her buff around her wrist?

BRO I’M SO CONFUSED why would she not bury it somewhere safe wtf. So yeah, Sarah and Tony find out, and because they can’t split the votes, they have to decide who to vote for, either Nat or Michele, probably Michele since Nat would probably protect herself. And if they’re wrong, Ben’s out.

AND HERE’S WERE MAGIC HAPPENS. Ben...gives Sarah permission to vote for him. He tells her her speech moved him, and that that way nobody will be able to say that Tony dragged her to the end.

And holy shit.

And there’s plenty to say here about this. I think mostly this proves that Sarah is such a good player, especially when it comes to building genuine relationships. Like, this seems absolutely sincere, they really do seem like they’ve become friends, and to get someone to like you enough that they’ll give you permission to vote them off? That’s REALLY impressive.

Also I don’t think he “quit”, per se. I think it’s kinda like a “half-Ian”, for the Palau fans out here (me). He’s still gonna vote for Michele, Sarah’s still free to do whatever, the game is still on. But he’s saying “if this happens, hey I get it and I’ll still vote for you in the end cause I think you deserve it” and...wow, props to Sarah.

And in the end, that’s what happens, she does want to make a Move and she does vote for Ben. Wow.

Then it’s final challenge time, the “catch the balls one handed” one...and it’s Natalie that wins it! So...the Edge person is in the F3, interesting how this is gonna go.

Nat ends up picking Michele to go to FTC with her, and it’s up to Sarah and Tony to battle it out in the firemaking challenge. And OH MY GOD THIS WAS TENSE AS HELL. I confess I did want Tony and Sarah in F3, I think that would have been so epic...but it just felt right somehow for them to battle here. AND GOD I HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAS HAPPENING, ONE MOMENT SARAH WAS WINNING, THE OTHER HER FLAME WAS OUT AND THEN TONY WINS.

Hey, they might be cops irl but they are such a legendary duo in Survivor, I definitely got a bit choked up here. What a moment.

Aaaaaand here’s the moment my friend and I went “Yeah, Tony’s got this”. My friend was saying “Natalie should have done a Chris and go up to Tony herself”, and...yeah, yeah maybe. Or maybe Michele could have beaten Tony? It did seem so from the edit, but I bet Nat didn’t wanna go with both Tony AND Sarah so she picked Michele. Either way...yeah.

Granted, Nat had been with all the Edge people for so long, plus she did play the complete opposite of Tony’s game...but to my eyes, it was kind of clear Tony was gonna win.

...and win he did!

(Can I just say that this was so awkward? sdfkjhdsk I was doing the cheering noices because it was so weird without the live audience lmao).

But yeah, oh my god what a season! I’m actually super happy that Tony won, because HE 100% DESERVED IT HOLY SHIT. He played such a good game and he managed to tone it down at first so they wouldn’t go after him but then went FULL TONY and STILL managed to avoid votes and DAMN! (Also, I’m happy an Edge person didn’t win. Can we retire EoE/RI now, please?)

And as they say...that was that. It is still so surreal that I’ve watched all of Survivor (Ok, there’s still Int. Survivor, but STILL). It was such a rollercoaster, and being able to enjoy this last season with my friend (WHO WAITED FOR SO LONG FOR ME TO CATCH UP OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU) was an amazing moment that I’ll cherish forever.

Now to watch the Ponderosa vids!

But I don’t enjoy it at all as a romantic dynamic.

Season 2. It has my favorite version of Lexa, it has Bellamy and Echo meeting, it has the most interesting antagonists (in my opinion haha). Season 4 is a close second though!

Favourite quotes:

How is that any different than Blood must have Blood?” - Luna in s3, because I think this quote shows very well the central conflict of the show, one that was established by Finn in s1: We have to try not to repeat history, and yet everytime, they do repeat it. I disagree with Luna in that instance because the threat that was ALI wasn’t like any other, but I agree with her sentiment.

I was disappointed with what the show was making of it in seasons 2 and 3, with characters saying it all around, but then there are two instances that really get to me: Octavia and Bellamy saying it over the dead radio at the end of s4, and Monty / Bellamy and Clarke saying it at the end of season 5.

Best musical moment:

I loved the way the music carried the scene right after Lexa’s death, how it melts from Lexa’s death and Titus saying his ritual words, to Becca reaching earth, back to Lexa and the Flame coming out of her.

Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest:

Oh boy there are a LOT Off the top of my head: when Monty refuses to leave Jasper alone when he gives his blood to Maya, when Murphy says “Touch me again and I’ll end you... in a non-criminal way”, when Becho was confirmed in s5, When Clarke managed to align the satellite dish in Pramfyia, when Octavia confronted Skaikru in The Chosen,.... I can’t think of others right now but there are a lot lmao You can check out my favorite scenes series if you want, I’m working on it slowly!

When it really disappointed you:

A lot of times, honestly... I’m gonna say, all of season 6. I hated it. It had so much potential, with characters having to deal with the aftermath of season 5, Monty and Harper dying, Jordan existing, Wonkru.... Instead we got a whole mess that didn’t do much for any character and I was really disappointed.

Saddest moment:

Lincoln’s death. I knew it was coming because I knew the actor was leaving the show, but I was so NOT READY for it omg it’s the scene I still cry everytime I watch it because it’s so sad and heartwrenching....

Most well done character death:

Okay so I think The 100 is really bad at having well done character deaths, so I’m gonna say my less well-done one lmaoooo

Lexa’s. Her death was so stupid. I wasn’t in the fandom at the time so I wasn’t aware of the awful queerbaiting that was going on, so without talking about BTS and marketing ploys, I do believe that her death was heavily predicted by the show. However, it was a stupid death and Lexa was too awesome a character to die by a stray bullet. She deserved a proper send-off, she deserved to die in an epic battle, or fighting for what she believed in,..... not a bullet.

Okay I actually have three so I’ll you my top three:

1- The revelation of the Mountain Men. I was absolutely NOT expecting this to happen and I was gasping and going “nooooooooo way!!!” at my computer because it was so out of nowhere!! I loved it lmao

2- Murphy discovers that ALI destroyed the world: the ending of s2. That scene is so chilling, Murphy watching the video of Chris crying and killing himself, cut with scenes of Jaha getting to the mansion and the wholse scene with ALI herself... that whole scene was really cool and unexpected!

3- Clarke and Jaha steal the bunker during the conclave. I was so SHOOK by this moment, it was such a bold move and I loved it!

Early January, 2015. I was back at my appartment waiting for the semester to start, my roommates weren’t back from the holidays yet, and I was bored. So I started the show, and I binged all of season 1 and half of season 2 in 24 hours xD I caught up at Spacewalker, and then had to wait two weeks for the next episode to air and it was agony!!!!

- Why does everybody on the Ark speak Enlighs?

- If Becca knew Nightblood could let you live on Earth then why didn’t she distribute it among the space stations?

- Why did Cadogan build the bunker in the middle of the city when he had a prefectly good FOREST??

- If Lexa is the first Commander to unite the clans then what was the role of the Commander before her?

- Why didn’t the Ark send one adult with the 100 (Pyke) to protect and help them?

- How come the Eligius IV prisoners don’t die when they come back to Earth in s5 since they have no nightblood and didn’t adapt through evolution?

- How is it that Spacekru survived with algea alone but Wonkru had to have this huge variety of plants?? WHAT’S THE MAGIC ALGEA MONTY???

- Why did Mount Weather crash the Exodus ship?

- If the ressources on the Ark are so scarce then why would they float people with clothes on them?

- How come Raven could visit Finn in prison but Bellamy couldn’t visit Octavia?? If Octavia was in solitary, why?

Also, people view Chyler as like a LGBT champion(and I do find her amazing, don't misunderstand), but her and Melissa are really close. She's said in an interview her kids call her aunt Melissa. So like, if people really champion Chyler that much, shouldn't people trust her judgment of Melissa a bit more. Like she's actually speaks to her and knows her personally.

But if you confront these fans with that, they’d likely come up with a reason that Chyler actually hates Melissa now. 

Off the top of my head, they’d say something like… 

“Chyler didn’t defend Melissa on social media, so she must be angry with her. These tweets that happened after SDCC-

-were created by the Supergirl publicist. You can tell by how they copied the two girls dancing together from her past tweets about their sisterhood, before she realized what Melissa is really like. The emoji of the girls doesn’t even make sense here lmao the Supergirl publicist is so bad at their job omfg”

or alternatively, closer to what I’ve actually seen regarding this-

“Chlyer probably doesn’t even know about the SDCC event. Or she only heard it from their side. She would probably agree with us if she knew what really happened, but she might never know how Melissa really is.”

There’s been a general tendency to frame the actors of Supergirl who are on good terms within this fandom against the actors who are not, at all logical costs.

And so as soon as the fandom has issue with an actor, even if they all previously were perceived as having an amicable or close relationship with the other members of the cast, the fandom will suddenly act like the “good” cast members hate this cast member. 

For instance,

When the musical recap first dropped, people were making posts that put thoughts into David Harewood’s head, proposing that he was embarrassed by Melissa and Jeremy.

The infamous letter to Melissa’s publicist even said “[…] save for Katie Mcgrath and David Harewood who appeared uncomfortable […]”

And that’s what most fans on that side of the debate seemed to believe.

But then David tweeted-

Which just speaks to how flawed many fans’ interpretations of the meaning behind the cast’s actions are.

So now he’s on the other side of the line, and the fans have moved from acting like he’s super close with Katie and Odette and they’re all against Mel and Jeremy, to acting like the ‘good guys’ actually hate him too.

Mechad

Mehcad’s fallout is weirder, because it felt like some fans initially didn’t want him on the ‘good side,’ though I do remember seeing post that were pro- Katie, David, and Mechad vs the rest of the cast before they turned around.

I’d been kind of avoiding people who were overreacting to the event by the time the anger spread to Mehcad, but looking back at Mehcad’s tag, people thought he said “Zitta” ( “shut up,” in Italian) in response to Katie saying that art can be interpreted in many different ways (referring to supercorp). And then I think? I remember seeing more criticisms, based on that belief, of Mehcad speaking Italian? Don’t take my word for it.

But he really rather clearly was saying “take that.” (Watch this. Op thought Mehcad said “Take that” then “zitta zitta”, but in the second instance he was actually saying “take tha take tha” quickly. Look away from the video when it says “Zitta zitta” and listen for the “t” sound in the beginning of the phrase.)

Because this is such a big leap to me, I do wonder if those who believed it wanted to be angry with Mehcad. And the originator of this idea didn’t appear to speak italian, so it’s not as naturally occurring a mishearing, which makes me wonder if they were looking for it to be negative.

Then Mehcad responded to someone’s comment on instagram (I’m not sure if he’s said anything else about it) and people had a somewhat less ridiculous reason to “cancel” him.

Note: “I’m a member of the HRC so I can’t be homophobic” is an incredibly misleading simplification of what happened

A piece of the comment he responded to, relevant sections to his response bolded:

“You don’t get to decide if we the queer fans you supposedly support can or cannot be sad over this because even tho you supported the community at some point it doesn’t come as genuine right now when we see things like that horrible interview in which only katie mcgrath was demonstrating to be a real ally in defending the fans views, that’s how you treat your fans who have supported you through this years and helped this show get bigger! […] 

So next time try to educate yourself before speaking […]”

His response:

“don’t post to my page again if you’re going to be rude. I don’t supposedly support anyone. I’m a member of the HRC. I’ve consistently supported all human rights. Race and preference included. You don’t know me. Do your research.”

Essentially, he was responding to accusations that he is ingenue in his support of lgbt+ rights and accusations that he is uneducated about lgbt+ issues.

Kind of, ‘I don’t supposedly support queer ppl, I actively support them.’

He wasn’t saying “I am a member of the HRC so that gives me a free pass,” he was responding directly to an accusation that he isn’t a real ally.

Side note: My own issue with “only katie mcgrath was demonstrating to be a real ally in defending the fans views” - 

Not only did Katie initially laugh at the musical recap (before remembering the wlw fans that she, more than anyone in the cast, has had contact with. These fans have followed her and interacted with her since her “breakout” so she’s likely the most sensitive to their possible reactions), but Mehcad also supported Katie’s affirmation that fans can read what they want from the show with his “take that”, and also showed a visible reluctance to support Jeremy when he said that he debunked Supercorp.

Which makes the anti-Mehcad upsurge kinda sad because he seemed to be on Supercorp’s side, in a way.

Side note, similar to the Mehcad situation:

“Melissa said ‘I can’t be homophobic because I was on Glee’” is again, incredibly misleading.

There is of course some question of the validity of the note, but assuming that it’s real, this is the actual quote from Melissa’s publicist (not Melissa herself. Honestly I guarantee that she hasn’t even read the letter):

“You’ve indicted people who are genuine ambassadors of acceptance, compassion and equality and have proven as much, not on only Glee but on SUPERGIRL and in their own personal lives.”

Her publicist said this kind of within the context of ‘advice’, saying things such as, “However, as an activist, it’s very important that you take a step back before inflicting public scorn.”

My read was that it wasn’t an argument against Melissa being homophobic, but an argument for the writer to think about what she’s doing. To consider that she’s punishing people who want to help and have tried to help, for things they didn’t do.

(Of course, someone who wrote a letter “on behalf of LGBT women” would feel "disrespected and patronized" by advice and criticisms from someone with professional experience in public relations)

(I also wonder if the publicist kinda knew that Glee wasn’t enough, considering her phrasing of “not on only Glee.” But I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t realize that Glee isn’t exactly highly regarded in lgbt+ spaces. It’s not a discourse straight people are usually familiar with.)

But putting the words “I can’t be homophobic because I was on Glee” into Melissa’s mouth is ridiculous and a move made only to further tarnish her image on this website.

Melissa

Before any of this, a lot of Supercorp fans wanted to put Melissa in the “demon” category. 

Any news that was ambiguous in meaning was read in the worst possible light until there was a backlash in the form of a more positive interpretation (usually from Supercorp shippers who like Kara), and they’d back off for a bit.

Now I’m not sure if this was in response to Melissa beginning to date Chris Wood, or because of an urge to prop up Katie Mcgrath as the one who deserves more attention than the lead. Maybe both. (Maybe neither, I’m open to alternate interpretations.)

Chris

Chris had a falling out, but they never put him on the good side. He was neutral/in waiting for the bad side because of who he plays.

But they couldn’t “strike,” so to speak, because Chris Wood himself hadn’t actually done anything. There was likely some degree of anti-Chris posts, but there were also regular reminders from the some bloggers that, “Chris Wood is not Mon-El, don’t send him hate.”

Then, I think it was his first (?) video interview about Supergirl in which he very clearly liked Mon-El and Karamel, and that was enough reason for him to be considered evil incarnated.

And so the “Chris Wood is not Mon-El” posts died down in response to the idea that ‘he endorses Mon-El’s behavior.’

(My read of Wood is that he knows that Mon-El isn’t like… Doing the Right Things, but sympathizes with him and thinks he is getting better. Over sympathizes. He thinks it’s interesting or compelling or whatever, like a lot of people do. As a society we have way too much sympathy and interest for man-children and their ‘accidental misogyny’ turned ‘okay person’. But it’s not an uncommon reaction to this kind of character, across the board. 

At this stage in the recognition of this trope’s problems, it’s the kind of issue we should work on, not one that we should completely renounce people for enjoying.

I mean, I’m not exactly the biggest fan of the guy and have some degree of issue with other things, but Mon-El’s actions are still not Chris’ actions. I’ll criticize him for things he actually does, thanks.)

But when Melissa started dating Chris, it became impossible for people to say things like “Save Melissa from having to act along side Chris” or “She looks so pained in her scenes with him, compared to with Katie” because we all knew that she definitely likes the guy. 

And sort of accusing Chris of abusing Melissa and forcing her to stay in the relationship, they had to accept that she enjoys his company. (That would be a step too far. But I do wonder if it might have escalated to that point in the future.)

So she couldn’t 100% be on the good side, because she didn’t hate the people on the bad side. But she also couldn’t be on the bad side, because then Katie would have to hate her. And then there goes Supercorp.

…But then Odette came on the scene, just as Melissa participated in saying that Kara and Lena are only friends.

And with the announcement that Lena and Reign are somehow connected, fans who were frustrated with not being able to condemn Melissa are given free ‘reign’.

This is why people are shipping reigncorp, because they have new blood who couldn’t possibly have done anything to upset fans yet, and they can easily divide the cast into people they hate and people the love.

But the only person who is truly safe is Katie Mcgrath, not only because she has a lot more experience with wlw fans and knows what not to say and because she doesn’t have any social media to say the wrong thing on, but because she is their favorite. 

And so no matter what happens, she is always going to be on the good side.

So the argument that Chyler loves Melissa and is a good judge of character will not work.

But if tomorrow, Melissa Benoist said she loves Katie Mcgrath, and Katie Mcgrath said Melissa is a really good person, the fans might suddenly shift Melissa to the good side. 

Because they see the world in black and white, but their fave is more their moral compass than anything else.

EPISODE 11

So I really pushed for it and it happened, Madison is officially gone and that’s one less person I gotta suck up to. But now mark is pissed at me. WHY WOULD WE VOTE KAREN OFF. She does not have a strong game, she’s floundering, she’s a prefect goat to take to the end. But whatever! Be as mad as you want. I was trying to help us both. But you just wanna be a big MAN BABY because I’m not letting you run this game. Remember how I said I wanted to run this and take no prisoners- well it’s now in full fuckin swing. I’ll do anything to get to the end. Even if that means cutting off mark, my number one ally. I’m actually super upset because I feel like he won’t be my friend anymore and wow I need to stop rambling whatever goodnight goodbye Goodluck 

I did a confessional before i got a strike lmaoooo I won immunity bitches time for revenge in Madison’s name. I’d love to just take out Tracey’s boring ass this round but there’s bigger threats in the game and unfortunately she’s not a threat to anyone or anything ever so let’s hope we can actually flush stoners idol this round and take out dan or drew 

I didn't win immunity but i beat Drew the legend's score so im really happy about that. Tonight's plan is to tell people we're voting dan but actually vote drew, so I'm hoping it's seamless and not a fucking trainwreck like it has been. We're also trying to get Chris to use his idol. Lastly, im not sure i trust charlie atm. Mark wants her in on the Drew vote but im nervous that she might spill. 

mark brought up a good point, but pat could potentially play the sapphire idol this round or the next for a big move, and with the way the game is going, one of these two tribals is probably the time to play it to try and swing some momentum back in his favor while also making a big move to add to his resume. just ideas™ in my head

Another fucking mess vote. Will I vote Drew? Maybe. Will I vote Chelsea? Maybe. Am I getting blindsided? Maybe. Idk it just feels weird. I feel like people are talking a lot but not a lot at the same time. Like we’re all beating around the bush. Let’s hop to it ladies. I’ll proabbly turn on Drew this week, I hope that doesn’t effect anything with Stoner in this game or the other game I’m in with him.

I'm writing another log because I'm so nervous for tonight once again. Idk why but I'm skeptical about Pippa being included in our voting information because I think she is secretly spying for Chris. The other night I told Pippa that I might vote Chris and not even a minute later, he messages me saying "I heard I'm getting votes against me." Coincidence? Idk. I want to be able to network and work with people but I don't know who to trust. Pat and Mark are pretty cool, but even Sammy I'm a little bit worried about. On the same night with the Pippa situation, I got a message from Chris telling me that Sammy asked him if he would vote me. So, now I'm not sure if Chris was just baiting me to start a fight, or if Sammy might also be working with Chris. Fuck. 

This round is a mess but honestly, I’m like so here for it. I’m lowkey hoping Pat hits the bricks bc I told Drew he’s getting all the votes. I can’t wait to get voted out hahahahahaha. That would be so fucking funny. Everyone thinks Chris has the idol, but Drew does :~)

so this round has been very boring. Everyone is being predictable and sticking with their comfort.  However I really want to switch things up and stop giving Tracey stoner and Chris so much power. Tracey just keeps coming to me to get information and it's low-key annoying cause like obvs I know she is working w Chris and Drew.  Like she could be making power moves but she has not worked w me once and keeps like not going w anything I tell her. lmao whatever.

CONFESSIONAL: This week is supposed to go smoothly. My alliance of sammy chelsea and mark is going well. I trust them a lot. With my alliance members getting voted out its easier for them to want to vote for me in the end. I miss madison but we have to keep moving forward to eliiminate drew, chris and tracey. i CANNOT STAND THEM. especially tracey. if she takes me out i will actually cry. No matter what happens atlast i have majority. and it seeeeeeems like people are noticing me and I realllllyyyy like that. Like if they keep going for chelsea and mark Its going to be amazing. This is literally how I won my BB game so I think this is a good way to get myself into the same position

OKAY SO SOMEHOW the concept of voting out madison actually worked?? Charlotte's interest in playing both sides was so incredible and useful in the last minute. Rip Ricky btw, i hope by the time this comes out, things are better for him. So the challenge was firedragon, which means i lost right the fuck away. So once again, a brilliant idol play was necessary. I'm bitter af that it couldn't be Chelsea ...but sammy probably was the better call. But now i'm stuck, F8, no idol, very little hope. It's nearing the end of the road but honestly making it this far is a triumph in itself.

SAMMY IS VOTED OUT

I’m shook. This is my third individual immunity win. My target is definitely growing but I still feel like I’m playing a reasonable game. I would love for Pat to use his Sapphire idol this week bc I would be safe regardless, but honestly Drew is the easy vote. The only thing that sucks is that he knows Pat has the Sapphire idol and if I flip, he could easily tell Pat or others about me telling him. I could do some damage control this week and tell Pat that Drew asked me if Pat had won the power and I said idk. And act like drew knew where everyone competed and it’s wideled down to Pat possibly having it. That’s a little risky but if it comes out that Drew told Pat I told him about the idol, it could save me and I can easily back pedal and say that Drew has a lucky guess. But at the same time, why would Drew lie if he was going out the door hnnnnn. It’s best if Pat doesn’t feel safe this week/thinks it’s gonna go to rocks. I think I could push a tie narrative by throwing Charlotte under the bus, but we’ll see. Regardless I’m going to the f7 and hopefully I have a solid group of 4 and maybe an idol of my own up my sleeve. 

Okay I literally forgot that prevotes are due tonight; not being in an alliance chat this round made things weird, but iIve been working with Pat, Dan, Mark, and Charlotte to find the idol this entire time. I LOST THE CHALLENGE I DON'T HAVE AN IDOL This should spell death for me. It really should. it probably still will. But I have three people willing to vote with me, two willing to pull a rock for me. So far, at least. A lot of shit changes when the revote is upon us. There's also Pat's sapphire idol to think about. I'm honestly not expecting to make it through this round but if I do, there are only four rounds left to go. Four rounds, it's not that much. We're trying to vote Pat because making me and Pat both safe was the best way to keep Dan on board with the plan. That and the fact that he won immunity and wouldn't pull a rock. Also I got biggest threat and needs to go next. These whores really know how to flatter a bitch.

IM FINALLY VOTING TRACEY OUT.. too bad shes not actually going home bc Pat has the reward from the dark week. He started getting nervous with his name apparently going around this vote and only charlotte or dan would need to flip to cause rocks/send pat home. So Pat is safe with his idol but it cancels votes for the top 2 vote getters. So we had to maneuver the votes so Tracey is actually the second vote getter and Drew is the 3rd so Drew goes home. Me Dan Pat and Chelsea searched every name in survivor history on the blog for the clues to the idol, and then searched those numbers. We dont have it yet but should soon. Touchy subjects was interesting. Apparently i really am perceived to be running this game, not sure how that happened. But hopefully if i get to the end after "running the game"  since merge thatll make up the lack of social game i have compared to some of the people left in the game.

Episode #9: “Beggars can't be choosers and I'm already on my knees” - Jack

Ok well never mind Drew just got booted which NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT??? Like if Matt had gone it'd have been one thing because I would've heard at least the name of the person who actually went, people might've been honest for once. But noooooooo let's create this Drew concoction and once again leave Jack out of a vote! I mean, would I have voted Drew out? I don't know, probably not. But still it's the principle. Was I kept safe? Yes, but another ally and former Cyrena left. My numbers keep dwindling and I am scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

So this round I want Mitch gone. I don't trust him too much, as I know he isn't as close to Bryce as I am. Which scares me cause Bryce is my ally right now. I know me and Mitch are in this 8 person alliance, but that shit means NOTHING to me. As I never said i wanted to be in it. So Ya FUCK THAT. Time for me to push mitch this round.

Watching the immunity was pretty telling I'd say, as random as it was. Having it said, it's been down to Loris, Zach, and Bryce for hours now. THE smart thing is to give Bryce immunity and up his threat level, but alas we gotta get a  show out of it lol.

So uh.... forget everything I said about Jared I guess because he wants to work with me? Lmao. Idk man like, can I really trust anyone besides Michael and Matt at this point? Not really, but Jared is the ONLY other person to legitimately give me a lifeline here (I don't count Mitch/Chris or any of the BS Zach/Bryce are giving me) so I have to take it, find some footing, figure out if I can actually get through this early merge here. I'm keeping my head down unlike my past games and I'm letting the game come to me. Beggars can't be choosers and I'm already on my knees

I FOUND AN IDOL!! I cant say I thought this would happen but I am so happy that it did! I just hope I can do right by this immunity idol! I got help out of Stephen so I am just so thankful for that!!

So I have this feeling things are not going to go the way I wish so. Rhys is gathering troops to get Mitch out and he's already gone to Bryce who told me and Zach, and Jared. How does he have numbers? BECAUSE HE HAS FLIPPED. We might as well should've had Kori in the chats because both have said the same thing as far as contributions go

Now I am in a pickle, not knowing if Jared/Bryce/Zach all want to flip after they wnet on a call together. Its a little concerning not gonna lie. What makes this worse is that like we are putting ourselves in a position where we HAVE to do play certain way. I dont want to be 6-5 I want to have cushion and Rhys is doing exactly what I figured he would be doing just early. I need to figure out exactly how willing the others are for this before its too late

So last tribal was a little bit of a rough one and the day after wasn’t too great either I just felt drained the entire day but I didn’t sign up for all stars to lose after being blindsided I came to win and I need to do whatever I can to get that fighting spirit back. I’m not out of this yet and hopefully the relationships I’ve built plus the killshot results mean that we can get a nice little blindside going.

Bryce telling me Mitch’s name??? 8.5 hours before tribal??? You really do love to see it. Michael told me Jared told him Mitch as well, so I’ll probably hear from Jared soon. This is beautiful stuff I could give less of a fuck about Mitch going. Everything’s coming up Millhouse!

These bitches are conspiring against me.

So, Rhys has been feeling antsy and decided he wants to flip on our 8. Tbh it's probably a smart move for him since he's the least incorporated of the 8 and would likely get 8th if my understanding of the situation is anything to go by. Soooo I can't exactly blame him, but, that's not all.

Bryce is ALSO wanting to flip. It seems so early for a well-connected member of the alliance to want to do something like that, so I imagine it's because he wants to play the middle between this group and the 4 outside of it. Rhys and Bryce may have leaked the alliance already, and, if they did that, then they also probably leaked how everyone was pretending Matt was the target at the last vote.

This group seems to be planning to vote Mitch out tonight, which isssssss bad. Very bad. Especially bad for me since he is one of my closest allies.

Chris found an idol, though, and I'm really hoping we can save it for late-game. There's still a chance this vote can turn around though. That's what I'm hoping for.

hi. so . after I almost win immunity after it was given to bryce when hes  already won immunity in another social challenge, now bryce  wants to vote mitch because ‘he Doesn’t like him’. I don’t know who the votes going to be and I rlly like Mitch so like I’m gonna pray and try to make sure it’s not him :( Fuck bryce

Okay... so. This round has been quite a lot, and I am going to try to explain it piece by piece because I have probably played more game in this round than I have the rest of the game combined.

Rhys told me that he wants to flip, and then Bryce told me that Zach also wants to flip (along with himself) against Mitch. I did not want to deal so I went to sleep.

I called Zach the same night and tried to gauge how much trust he has in me by admitting that Rhys wants to flip, and seeing how he would react towards me. He played very coy which is very... Zach.

Bryce told me that he went to Chris about flipping and that Chris shut it down, so I quickly went and leaked to Chris and showed my disinterest in flipping. I made a plan to call Zach and Bryce and try to convince them that this was the wrong move. (Keep in mind this was all the same night, after the immunity results.) I thought I made up some ground and pointed them in the direction of targeting Michael, but I would soon realize that they were just placating me. The call ended with Zach saying that he wanted to get Stephen's thoughts in the morning.

Come the morning, I hatch this crackhead plan to get Mitch the merge idol. According to Stephen from the night before, we were only 11 steps away from the end of the bridge. At 9 AM Bryce quickly searches and says "IT APPEARS WHATEVER WAS ONCE HERE IS GONE AHHH" (I was using my 3 person alliance to get myself or Bryce the idol, not knowing that I would regret doing that.) Being that Bryce said the exact line as if something were missing, I thought there were a couple possible scenarios: 1. He straight up lied. 2. Stephen actually got to the end of the bridge the night before. 3. The night before after everyone had guessed, Bryce took the numbers to a 3rd party (Zach) so they could get the idol.

So that plan was dead. I then considered, "what if I give Mitch my idol?" I quickly realized I would probably regret that in a few rounds.

I spent the rest of today formulating a plan to position myself in everyone's good graces no matter what the outcome of the vote is. I told Rhys I would help him recruit the minority to vote Mitch. I messaged all of them about the vote, and then I came clean with Chloe on call saying that "even though the vote is Mitch, we should be aware that it aligns with Bryce and Zach's agenda and they threw your name." I then communicated to Chris, Loris, and Stephen what Rhys said and my distaste for flipping.

You may wonder where the sudden distrust for Bryce came from. Well, Chris told me that Loris said "Bryce had this planned before immunity (voting for Mitch)." I'm thinking Bryce probably just used me to get to Zach but still wants us to be the F3. My interests don't seem to be aligning with theirs.

With that being said I will likely be voting for Mitch tonight. RIP to the brodie, you deserved better. I will try my best to put off using my challenge advantage and my idol for as long as possible, and I will be trying to play both sides between the Zach/Bryce duo and Chris.

So I’m finally in danger of going (love that). I’m praying someone doesn’t have an idol because I feel like the rehidden one has been found. It’s between me and matt but if I stay which I think is likely, I have to do a better job communicating. I think that’s what got me in this position in the first place. Dane: Hey what’s up. I’m sorry but I’m really happy you left early on. I don’t like knowing too many people in the cast , especially someone that I’ve argued a bit with. It would have been nice to play with you though.

Jake: hey buddy ; ) Lol obviously we didn’t get along well in the game. I tried talking to you and you ignored me and then made a chat to try to get me out, and then you called me a dick & deleted me for voting you out… bish weht? But I don’t hold grudges soooo it’s whatever to me 

John: ILYSM. I was shook to see you in this game and even more shook to see you go first boot. Rhohn would have been a thing everyone would have had to worry about in this game so everyones lucky.

Jake: I lived for the fact that you understood all my vine references during One World and thought you were cool but then saw you deleted me after you got voted out like tf did I do? ☹ But it’s okay, good luck in fans vs favorites!

John: You were so wonderful to talk with and I felt awful about voting for you after you worked so hard on that scavenger hunt. I truly think it sent Fatum into the downward spiral it did, just for karma on all of us for voting out such a kind soul.

Autumn: We also didn’t really get to meet, which is tragic and I hope we get another shot in a future game. Oh and for the record, your exit wrecked Fatum and anytime your name comes up they all square up again it’s great

Dane: Hey I low key wish we could have gotten to play together to get rid of the awkwardness in the air between us. I like your makeup.

Jake: Hey Nicole, our only convo was about blankets lolol we just didn’t talk bc we were never on the same tribe but I heard u were iconic so slay and maybe we’ll cross paths in a game again one day ;o 

John:  I love you so much and you know that. I was ecstatic to see you in this game when the cast was revealed and the way you left pained me. I hope I have done you proud.

Autumn: Omg Bran!! I legit only voted you because I was afraid for my life and I knew people wanted to see Imperium suffer #foreshadowing. I hope things are going great and please know that I enjoyed the little time we did have together

Dane: I have played a lot of games, I have done a lot of shit but, this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Bran, you are honestly one of my best friends in this community and like I said that you were always there for me and I would always be there for you, no matter what is going on. I feel like there is always this conception in Tumblr games that people are so afraid to vote out their friends and honestly, I am really afraid right now that you wont like me anymore because of this. I just want to say that if you are mad at me i’m so sorry, I really really am. I do understand if you are mad at me. I just feel like for my game, this is best thing for me. I wish you the best of luck in everything going on for you and that everything works out great. ILY.

Jake: Hi legend!! Ugh you were robbed but I’m glad we got to know each other on Optio bc you seemed like one of the most genuine people in this cast and I loved that. Your sense of humor always made me laugh and I hope that we talk or play other games after this because you’re iconic.

Dane: Part of me is happy that you left early because just from my one world experience with you, I deemed you to be socially capable of getting far.... and you’re a straight frat guy. HOWEVER, you seem really chill and I can’t wait to talk to you post-game.

Jake: My secret partner and crime but not really bc we never on the same tribe LMAO. I’m happy that you finally got me to play Tumblr Survivor after nagging me to play for like 8 months cus I’ve had a blast in this. I wish we ended up on the same tribe at some point though, but tbh it’s probably better that we didn’t bc ur messy af oops.

John: We met in this game and you quickly became somebody I bonded with and could just talk to with ease. Unfortunately everyone else saw that too and wanted to separate us :/ I guess there was only room for one John in the game. But I love you still.

Autumn: Out of everyone in the cast and out of all the decisions I’ve made, voting you out is the hardest vote I’ve ever done. I actually didn’t think I’d get this far so I can’t believe I can legit explain myself right here and now instead of the reunion. I genuinely trusted you and I could tell you trusted me, but at the time, I felt closer to Dane and Rebecka. I also knew you would be the first to figure out I had really solid relationships on that small tribe so I panicked. And low-key I thought you could come between my original alliance since you were super tight with Chris. Thank you for being such a champ and being cool about everything

Dane: Okay honestly I wrote like one mean confessional about you. Sorry. In the game your introduction and your voting confessionals were like “HEY THE BITCH IS BACK” and “Hahah bitch try voting me out again! Or don’t because you’re gone 💁🏻‍♂️” but I hope that was just game you, I can’t wait to get to know you personally.

Jake: my original ride or die!! I was so thankful for you helping me not get 18th LMAO. you were such a nice guy and my first ally in a Tumblr Survivor so that’s iconic. You were also such a wild player and I loved your fearless attitude. Wish you made merge so we could’ve been reunited again ;(  

John: We met years ago in my very first org, on the messy ass Osin tribe. I didn't know what to think when I saw you in the game as we hadn't played together since. We voted together, we voted for each other, but I still love you personally.

Autumn: Honestly I wrote a whole confessional for you and Ned individually so I’m gonna be short and sweet right here. Your exit broke my heart and whenever people bring you up, I’m thinking he’s in a better place he’s in a better place. Anyway, thank you for everything. You always had my back, prevented me from wiling too early and ruining my game, and taught me a lot about the game just by letting me get to know you. Jake: Ned!! We only got to talk during one world and the first round of merge, but I instantly clicked with you because you were so down to earth and easy to talk to. You seem like a genuinely nice guy and it sucked to see you get blindsided and I wish we had more time in the game together.

John: You're a really cool guy but it sucked that we were never ever on the same tribe so we never really got to bond on a game level. 

Autumn: Omg I shouldn’t have done these in boot order the last two took all my energy and it’s like 4 AM rip. Ok you’re amazing Scrappy and I wish we’d become friends sooner. Bryumn is us both asking DID YOU FLIP and then us both saying WAIT YOU DIDN’T FLIP. You’re hysterical, always brought the drama, and everyone was secretly afraid of you cause you’re that bitch. I wish you’d gotten more time, but I think you actually would’ve killed someone so it’s probably for the best. Dane: Look! I took your advice and got my head out of the gutter and I got a brain soekfkcmcmv. You were honestly so iconic I want you to be brought back another season so I can root for you in the VL. 

Jake: my petty king!!! Bryan, we bonded over Zelda and I instantly felt a connection and trust with you during One World that carried over into our tribe swap and merge. You were a great ally and a fearless player because you pushed to make moves. I was sad to see you go so soon at merge because I wanted us to go a lot further. I hope we keep in touch, you’re a great guy!

John: You and I had a rocky road since you were on my tribe once for the Emily vote. Once we swapped though and I got to know you I really loved talking to you and wish our circumstances could have been different. 

Autumn: Queen!!! I miss bonding with you over the people who we do like and the people we don’t like hahaha. You were so entertaining and a breath of fresh air. Honestly you did the absolute most and as iconic as you were, we still talk about all the hilarious moments you brought. The hexes? The Bryan fight?? The blow torch??? We aren’t worthy! I wish we had legit been on the same side because we would’ve fucked shit up. I felt I was next after Sam so that was the logic, but I still feel bad about how you went out so my apology gift will hopefully arrive shortly/ check the voting confessionals

Dane: Okay whew. On a completely serious note I am so happy that the both of us were able to look past our Vendettas with each other and not only play a game together, but enjoy our time together. We have a lot of bad blood and it was so stupid of us but I’m glad to say that we both grew as people enough to move past stupid internet drama. I’m ready to see my voodoo doll!

Jake: Hey wicked witch, pls don’t hex me!! Julia, I knew you’d be wild and hilarious from day one. You’ve always cracked me up and I really liked working with you until things fell apart for us at merge with the Ned vote. If I ever play another tumblr survivor I hope you’re in it just because you create so many iconic moments that still make me laugh. #IsThatABlowTorch? 

John: I was so upset I didn't get to talk to you until the merge because you were iconic. You pulling out your blowtorch at tribal was one of my favorite moments of the season and I am TRYING to get it into gif form

Autumn: This cast is too big jesus christ but you tend to speed read so let’s not waste time. Hi sis!!! I love you, I miss you, and I hope I’m doing you proud. I hate that you were collateral damage in the bloodbath that’s been merge. But I know you’ll do great things, both in life and in orgs. You are and always will be the baddest. Navarino Final 2?

Dane: Honestly I am so sorry that you got fucked up. Not only were you a good player, but you were hilarious and iconic and I honestly wish you could have lasted longer to keep the game entertaining. I feel like I ruined your game by aligning with you and I’m so sorry about that clfmmcmv 

Jake: Hey Rebecka! Obviously we didn’t have the best relationship in this game haha. But I think we both knew it was better to not BS the other which is why we didn’t talk much. You were always positive and pretty funny from when we talked in the main chats, oh and all the pictures of your dogs were the best!! If we ever play another game together I would be down to try working together because you always seemed genuine in the game. 

John: You were so lovely to chat with, I knew we would be cool because I knew you from Jennas DR LOL. I wish we could have been on a tribe together so it could have happened sooner. We voted for each other but hopefully there are no hard feelings. 

Autumn: Haley!!!! I don’t even know how to explain it but you just put a smile on my face. Is it a) your chill attitude, b) your adorability, c) you running Fatum from the backseat and letting the boys think they run things, or d) your association to Chris? It’s e) all of the above!!! Hopefully we get to talk more after the game now that all these men and conflicts of interest are out of the way haha

Dane: We barley spoke, which is so bad on my part. I love how you came to tribal councils stoned out of your god damn mind. I hope you’re enjoying your time with Chris though! 

Jake: Haleyyy, I love you now and I really wish that we talked more earlier on because when we actually did start talking I realized that we could have worked well together. But it just seemed like at that point it wasn’t smart for me to seriously flip on everyone again. It really sucked voting you out but I appreciate that you were understanding. You were so sweet to me in the game and I hope we stay in touch after this! 

John: You and I have had a rollercoaster of a ride together. From the messy premerge on original fatum, to you blindsiding johnny. We had so many good times too on calls whether we were talking game or about our lives. In the end I am so happy I have come out of this game with somebody I can call a new friend. 

Autumn:  I’m so exhausted girl and it’s 5 AM so if this is like 3 sentences don’t hate me haha. Let’s just start with this: YOU DID THAT!!! From the fight you gave every round to the fight you gave us on your way out, you never quit and always held your head up high. Velma you have such a remarkable spirit about you and I’m really glad we became friends. Thank you for being in the trenches with me and giving me something (and someone) to believe in this merge. I’m glad the end is near I miss talking to you and the rest of the squad so so so much but it’s fine I’m fine why wouldn’t I be fine

Dane: MOOOOOOOOOM! You were probably the biggest contender to win the game and I didn’t have it in my heart to vote you out, but thank god devil Ryan and John were here ! I hope you didn’t get a bad nannying job and I can’t wait to talk to you again once the season is over.

Jake: Sam <3 We’ve gotten along since the beginning and I’m glad that we got to work together closely throughout the merge. It was amazing that we managed to turn things around after Ned’s blindside and it sucked to see you go. You’ve always been so nice to me and a joy to talk to, thank you for being an awesome ally.

John: I was excited to see you cast for this game because you're such a sweet girl but the survivor swap gods were never on our side until we merged. I hated that we ended up on opposite sides and felt sick the times I wrote your name down. I hope we can be friends with each other when this is over.

Autumn: There’s a chance you could be really petty at the end and I wouldn’t blame you. I just want to say that I always wanted to earn your respect as a player rather than just as a person. I love our friendship, but I know you and many others perceive my game differently than it actually is. I will set the record straight in due time but I have a lot to prove, one of which is that I’ll do what no one else had the balls to do. You’re a fantastic player and I’m honored to have ever gone head to head with you, especially so late in the game. You 100% would’ve won and I’m sorry me making a big move came at your expense. It’ll probably cost me a vote, but if sending you out automatically changes the conversation around me as a player then that means you really are that incredible and that I’m just that legit. 

Dane: Weirdly enough you were in the same boat as Sam: you’re one of the bigger contenders but due to my personal relationship with you, I couldn’t vote you out. However, I could conspire against you WHEN YOU VOTED OUT REBECKA! You’re too thick, but not too thick to tick me in the finale! :) #DragonEscapeIsOurAlways

We got off on such bad footing since I voted for you at the beginning of merge fjfnfdj and it was obvious that we were on opposite sides for the most part but I’m thankful that you didn’t just cut me off after the vote bc I really liked the talks we had that weren’t strictly game related. Sorry for being a fake ass with you multiple times oWo!! But you played a fantastic game as an ex winner and I really could’ve seen you getting to the end again if I didn’t make that move last round. ANDREW’S OPENING STATEMENT

Hello jury! Before I get into what I want to say, I would just like to thank the hosts - Carson K, Jay, and Carson C - for hosting a super fun season! You guys are awesome <3 Also sorry this is gonna be super long, but I want to lay everything out there for you guys.

To start my statement off, I will say for myself that this was a very difficult season to navigate once merge hit and my tribal immunity was gone despite the fact that the first half was quite admittedly easy. I’m not going to sit here and say how difficult pre-merge was when I never had to attend a tribal. However, that does not mean that there was still a lot of game to be played during that time. It was during the merge phase of the game where the stakes were raised for me monumentally, and everything was thrown for major loop after major loop. I’m going to use this final tribal council speech to try and convey to you all on the jury why I think I deserve the win based on my overall gameplay both through the pre-merge where it may be thought that I didn’t have to do much, and the merge where a lot of that gameplay that I did actually do paid off and allowed me to successfully maneuver my way through to the final 2.

The beginning of this game was a breath of fresh air for me, seeing as I really did not know many of the people at the start. Lately, it had become difficult to find a game where it feels like I am starting fresh and don’t really need to focus on potential pre-existing relationships. So naturally, I was pretty excited to start playing. On my tribe, I found myself connecting with a lot of people I didn’t really know. The only thing that really changed things up for me during this time was the addition of Chris (Chips hehe) - who I knew prior to this - to the tribe after Lilly’s quit. While we did link up when he came in, I still was solidifying new and improved relationships with Veronica, Daisy, and Luke. Veronica and I were just newly friends, but we had never played together before. Daisy and I had never met, and we clicked pretty quickly. Luke was someone who I knew but had never played alongside in a game, and we were really just acquaintances at the start. The thing was, I didn’t know who to trust in the start of this game. But, I managed to find a solid pre-merge group in Veronica, Daisy, and Luke with the later addition of Chris.

Through the pre-merge, and even at the swap, we found a core group of myself, Daisy, Luke, and Chris seemingly running alliances. We had side relationships with quite a few people, and were really trying to make sure that any tribal decisions involving challenges or the very important Exile were swayed in the direction we wanted. Which honestly, they really did seem to be! And as the tribes I ended up on kept winning immunity, I was safe and was allowed to culminate relationships that would hopefully work out for me when we did hit the time that I would be vulnerable. Even during this time, I was getting close to Austin and Brandon as numbers for myself, however they both left pre-merge. But, I still had a solid number of social connections. Through all of this time, I really tried to make sure that I was super close to Veronica, and that I would be the closest ally to Veronica over people like Daisy and Luke. The reality was, this group was going to hit a point where we’d have to vote one another out (which we inevitably did), and I wanted to make sure I was set with numbers. That’s what the pre-merge was for me: making sure I was set up socially as to continue keeping myself safe and have what I wanted to happen, happen.

Then came the point where we finally merged. And me and a few other people were finally vulnerable against the vote. It is very important to note that at the swap before merge and before the mutiny, I was put onto a tribe with Karen, Regan, and Drew. These 3 were ironically the 3 people I knew the most coming into this game, however I wasn’t on their starting tribe. Now I was finally faced with them, and was not entirely sure how to go about this. However, loyalties between groups were not tested on this new tribe, as we all made it to merge successfully not going to tribal during that period of time. It was now at the merge, where I found the game starting to crumble for me. In a vote where I was told Rob would be going, Shea went instead. Shea was a potential ally of mine that I wanted to get close to, and their elimination was irritating for me as I lost a potentially sprouting ally as well as someone else I could get to know, and the fact that the person who I was told going, didn’t go was also irritating. At the same time, I thought it would be easy to pick up the pieces. This proved to be a failure once again as Chris was blindsided by people that I was previously aligned with, and with Chris’s vote out, I was blindsided as well seeing as I did not see him going home that round.

With the merge not going well for me, I didn’t want to give up. I knew that I was very close to Karen and was becoming closer to Regan, I knew I had Veronica for a solid number, and I knew that I could still maintain some form of relationship with Daisy. I also knew that Drew and Luke were still people I could talk to for different information. I still didn’t like my position, but the auction came along. Knowing I needed an advantage, I found an extremely effective item in shaking up the game. Everyone’s favorite blue devil rock - the Sapphire Idol. So, I told Karen about it, and we worked out a super screwed up and contrived vote distribution that we almost got entirely right, save Daisy getting one less vote than we thought. However, that night I voted Logan thinking I could throw my vote as to not mess up the distribution, and the vote got super screwed up. One thing that is super important to mention though, is that had I not gotten Karen to purposefully vote me 5 minutes before the vote, she would have voted Daisy (giving her 4 votes) and I would have only received 2 votes. And with that the vote would have ended up 4-3-2-1 where I went home on 2 votes and would have Sapphire’d myself out :’)

After the Sapphire Idol play, everything exploded. No one knew what was going to happen next, and I accredit that to myself saying “lmao I wanna be chaotic for once because screw how this game is going.” So I was chaotic. And it paid off with Rob and Drew going in succession with split vote plans and Drew misplaying his idol as well as Luke betraying him. Of course, things fell through when Karen was blindsided. However, that night before the vote when I was skeptical Veronica was going to vote Karen, I went to her to make sure we would still be good “no matter what happened.” (Aka - are we good even if you vote out Karen tonight?). With that, I was solid with Veronica and we managed to take out Luke and Daisy back to back. On top of this, I managed to save myself with 5 immunity wins where I was told that if I had not won them, I would have been sent home. And with being safe like I was similar to pre-merge, I still played my heart out to try my hardest to see if the votes would go my way. And I managed to win up to final 2 where I had to make the toughest decision in the game in the form of voting out one of my 2 closest allies. So here I am now, against Regan who I have been aligned with for quite some time. I sit here asking you to please consider all of this gameplay and to convince you guys that I deserve the title of Sole Survivor for this game. While I feel like Regan was good at maneuvering as well, I think I played the social, strategic, and physical aspects of the game better. And I’m hoping that you guys all take that into consideration. I’ll take any comments, questions, concerns, or downright drags on my gameplay and will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. I appreciate you guys taking the time to listen, and I wish Regan good luck in this final tribal. Thank you again hosts for the amazing game, and thank you players for making this game what it was. It was awesome playing with you guys.
