Eluveitie unterschreiben erneut bei Nuclear Blast

Nuclear Blast Records ist stolz verkünden zu können, dass die schweizer Folk-Metal-Superstars ELUVEITIE einen neuen Deal unterschrieben haben.

Vor über 10 Jahren, im November 2007, haben die damals noch recht unbekannten Newcomer ELUVEITIE ihren ersten Vertrag bei Nuclear Blast unterschrieben und wurden durch die Veröffentlichung ihres Label-Debüts »SLANIA« zu einem international erfolgreichen Act. Fünf weitere sehr erfolgreiche Studioalben folgten und nun hat die Band schließlich einen neuen Vertrag bei dem Label unterschrieben, auf dass diese hervorragende Partnerschaft noch mehr großartige Werke hervorbringt.

Fronter Chrigel Glanzmann kommentiert: “Ok, das klingt wie eines dieser “offiziellen Statements” um die man manchmal gebeten wird, diese Dinge “die man halt sagt”, weil es die Leute erwarten. Aber so ist es wirklich nicht. Diese Worte kommen von Herzen: Wir sind unglaublich glücklich, diese Neuigkeiten bekanntzugeben! Damals war es unser Traum, einen Vertrag bei Nuclear Blast zu unterschreiben (als wir “Vên” und “Spirit” aufgenommen haben), weil wir einfach dachten, es sei das beste und coolste Metal-Musiklabel. Und dann wurde es wahr: Ein paar Jahre später haben wir tatsächlich bei Nuclear Blast unterschrieben. Und das Schöne heute ist: Auch nach ganzen zehn Jahren der Zusammenarbeit hat sich nicht das Geringste an dieser Meinung geändert! Wir wissen, dass es eine Menge Kids gibt, die Nuclear Blast beschuldigen, einfach ein “großes Unternehmen” zu sein, dass sie “Mainstream und kommerziell“ seien, etc. Aber wir können euch sagen, dass jeder, der bei Nuclear Blast arbeitet, den wir über die Jahre kennengelernt haben (und das ist inzwischen so ziemlich jeder), schlicht aus seiner oder ihrer Leidenschaft für Musik arbeitet, für Metal! Einfach jeder von denen ist ein Idealist und glaubt fest an Metal Musik! Und da gehört ELUVEITIE hin! Zum Metal! Heute ist unsere Beziehung zu Nuclear Blast nicht nur geschäftlicher Natur. Wir arbeiten als Freunde zusammen, die sich auf persönlicher Ebene kennen, respektieren und mögen.”

Markus Staiger fügt hinzu: “Es freut uns sehr, dass ELUVEITIE und Nuclear Blast Records weiter als Team zusammenarbeiten können. ELUVEITIE ist ein großer Erfolg für unser Label und jeder einzelne in dieser Band, ihr Management und ihre Crew sind zu guten Freunden geworden. ELUVEITIE haben ihr zweites Studio Album »Slania« vor über 10 Jahren veröffentlicht und um dieses Jubiläum zu feiern, hat die Band eine spezielle Jubiläums-Edition dieses Meisterwerkes angekündigt. »SLANIA – 10 Years« beinhaltet einige Bonus Tracks, einschließlich Demos und Akustik Versionen und wird am 16. November über Nuclear Blast Records veröffentlicht.

The Swiss folk metal nonet, Eluveitie once again rocked the Oakland Metro Operahouse.

Eluveitie played such classics as “Thousandfold” and “A Rose for Epona” as well as new crowd favorites like the set opener “Ategnatos” and “Breathe” mixed with great crowd interaction made it a night to remember. The band consist of two vocalists, founder Chrigel Glazmann’s (deep vocals,growls) and Fabienne Erni (clean vocals) and instruments such as bagpipes,violins, hurdy gurdy, mandolins and even a harp.
