Ever imagined System of a Down’s ‘Chop Suey!’ as a medieval ballad? Y’know, like the ones that keep getting recommended to you on YouTube, for some reason? 

This is probably as close as you’ll ever get to that. Queens-based artist Eartheater turns the iconic song and inspiration for a thousand memes into a haunting hymn with a folkish lilt, proving more ceremonial than psychotic. Not sure if it’s something I’ll return to often, but the explosive breakdown towards the end does a good job of channelling the original’s grit.
