Random ass question, but what's your favorite flavor of Ice cream?
my favourite flavour of ice-cream is mint chocolate chip, it's the BEST flavour, fight me on this hill. (*´ω`*)
soap is the type to enjoy something ridiculously sweet or something absolutely disgusting, like bubblegum flavoured ice-cream. i could see him enjoying something extremely sugary, like rocky road with a lot of toppings (marshmallows, sauce, etc). 🍨
price definitely enjoys rum and raisin, or coffee flavour, while gaz and rodolfo enjoy sorbet ice-cream. gaz enjoys lemon or mango flavoured, while rodolfo prefers strawberry or raspberry. alejandro and simon enjoy plain, basic vanilla.
and of course, i've talked about this before multiple times, but könig would enjoy strawberry ice-cream. he doesn't like chocolate and finds it sickly sweet. he enjoys sorbet flavours too, specifically raspberry!!! 🍦
tell me your favourite flavours in the comments :P

The Year You Thought You Were Dying
by Mindy Nettifee
The year you thought you were dying was a really great year.
You ate licorice on the beach in January, swam rum sauced in the icy Pacific wearing only blue rubber flippers and your grandfather’s dog tags and for the first time, it felt good to be cold, it felt good to be so cold it hurt.
You doted on pigeons and stray cats. You ate honey peanuts in the park and re-watched every movie that ever made you cry, including Steve Martin’s The Jerk. You tattooed your entire body in Pablo Neruda translations and cherry blossoms.
You blew all your money on comfortable shoes and one of those mattresses made from NASA space foam. You slept the sleep of assassins and kings—remorseless.
You bought chocolate bars from all the kids who came to your door and stock-piled them in your broom closet. You left them in your will to THE SECRETARIES, every last one of them.
You volunteered at the local senior center playing bingo. When you won you forced to whole room to take shots of Welch’s grape juice and sing the national anthem.
And you spent time with your favorite lover. You let him get close. Secret suicide note, nonsense alibi close. shampoo scent dissection close.
Close enough to memorize your tells, hand you your ass at pillow poker, make your defenses look like the silly decoupage of paper angels and Victorian roses that they were. Close enough that your laughter punched him with mint gum puffs. Close enough that his sighs drove circles in the parking lots of your sighs, close enough to measure your ribcage in wrists, your palms in lips.
So close, you didn’t even notice your heart speed up, then stop, when he kissed you so hard, when the New Year’s ball dropped down.

Star Trek: TOS Crew at an Ice Cream Shop
Kirk: Orders a cookies and cream sundae with hot fudge and marshmallow sauce. It gets melty and he drops a spoonful on his shirt, like, first bite. Other than that, he's having a great time.
Spock: Orders a single scoop of something unique - matcha, coconut, peppermint, or coffee are some of his go-to flavors. Would die before getting it in a cone and having to lick it. Has to eat very slowly to avoid brainfreeze - may or may not succeed.
Bones: Orders a double scoop of butter pecan, in a cone. Alternatively, if he's feeling adventurous, he'll get a classic banana split. Yes he can and will eat the whole thing. Do not ask him to share.
Scotty: Orders a double scoop of rum raisin, in a cone. Doesn't have to worry about being asked to share that. Second choice is rocky road. Definitely gets some in his mustache.
Sulu: Orders 1 scoop each of a couple weird flavors that don't seem to go together. If there's a unique shop-specialty ice cream, he will get it. Passionately defends his choices... which are usually okay.
Uhura: Orders 1 scoop of coffee ice cream in a cup. Alternatively, fruit sorbet is a solid choice. Preferably, both of these have chocolate shavings sprinkled on top. Her lipstick is gone by the end of the evening, but it's totally worth it.
Chekov: Orders 1 scoop of chocolate in a cup, with some sprinkles on it. Is nervous about ordering this because he thinks it makes him look like a child. It is all over his face by the time he's done with it.
Chapel: Orders 1 scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough in a cup. Bones tells her not to do this because she doesn't know it's egg-free. She does it anyway. Uhura and Rand sample it in exchange for Chapel sampling theirs.
Rand: Orders a double scoop of dulce de leche in a cone. It matches her hair, and also tastes good. Has devised some trick with napkins to keep it from dripping on her hands. Her friends are jealous.

So, I visited Europe for the first time in my life a few weeks ago - Rome specifically, right after the Pope opened the Christmas season there - and for the first time in my life tried roasted chestnuts. Are they always that sweet? I will admit to not liking nuts so the fact that they were easier to choke down than I expected was somewhat revelatory, but like still odd. Do you like roasted chestnuts? Also, how does conkers work?
Mostly asking because youre my best European source of knowledge of such things - there's no chestnuts to be had in America
First, there are two kinds of chestnuts, the kind you eat (Castenea, Sweet Chestnuts and the kind you don't (Aesculus, Horse Chestnuts).
(Water chestnuts, which don't grow on trees, are something else entirely.)
Second, there are definitely Castanea chestnuts in America, though I'm betting they're a regional thing so if you're not in the region, hard cheese, and they even appear in the first line of "The Christmas Song".
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,  Jack Frost nipping on your nose,  Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,  And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Tumblr media
The edible ones are definitely sweet, it's even in their name, but the burnt smell of them cooking might suggest they'll taste otherwise, so that can come as a surprise.
I don't care for them myself, though roasted chestnut purée mixed with rum, then topped with unsweetened whipped cream and maybe chocolate sauce is another matter entirely.
Tumblr media
This treatment is variously credited as Hungarian, Italian and French; those who want to argue about it can sit over there, because sensible people who want to get on with eating it will be sitting over here...
*****
As for Aesculus conkers, the easiest way to explain them is to point you to this post.
Tumblr media
Wearing schoolboy caps, oversized wellies or a severe short-back-and-sides haircut isn't compulsory, but might help. Or not.

Vax'ildan is the type of guy who has a massive ice cream sundae with too many scoops, clashing flavours and too many toppings that everyone else raises an eyebrow at.
There's chocolate, rum & raisin, cherry, mint chocolate chip, raspberry ripple, toffee, cola, coffee and salted caramel.
There's whipped cream, hot fudge sauce, raspberry sauce, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, sprinkles, bits of cookie dough, bits of brownies, cookie crumbs and glacé cherries.
He's loving his monstrosity, but everyone else is staring at him in concern and disgust.

Continuing the TWST Boys Go to Reader's World??? headcanons, can I have the Third Years this time?
Reader is mentioned and only pronouns used are secondary pronouns. The amount of research going into this 😥😥
Tumblr media
Trey Clover
Favorite Country/City: A lot of treats that he makes are from France, so I believe he would love being on the tasting side of the whole ordeal. Plus, candied violets (originally called violettes cristallisees) originate from there as well. As for his favorite city, it’s basic but it’s Paris. It’s the dessert capital of France, so yeah.
Favorite Cuisine/Dish: He is a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to multiple different cuisines, as people from all over have come to his family’s bakery. However, if he had to choose one, it would have to be Spanish cuisine. He just strikes me as the type. French food would come in second, but we are going by entrees and not desserts.
Favorite Drink: I feel like he would be a bit tired of tea, and coffee goes well with a lot of sweets but sometimes he wants something else. So, hot chocolate is a great go-to. Plus, you can spike it with bourbon or rum and many other things, and he prefers bourbon.
Favorite Souvenir: A cognac that he has used to cook multiple different things. He picked it up at a small shop in France, and the brandy is great for making sauces and for deglazing a pan. He rarely drinks it, but it’s of great quality.
Favorite Singers/Songs: He is an old soul, and with that being said, he likes older music. I feel like he would like songs in different languages as well. So, I think he would like the song Nunca es Suficiente, the Natalia Lafourcade version.
Favorite Movie: He doesn’t have a favorite movie, but rather favorite shows. He loves Nailed It!, Zumbo’s Just Desserts, Sugar Rush, but most importantly: The Great British Baking Show.
Tumblr media
Cater Diamond
Favorite Country/City: This guy is hard because he would want to go absolutely everywhere and he would love everywhere he travels to. However, he would say that he loved Japan the most, as the people were very friendly and it was the first time he actually tried hard to learn the language so that he could be respectful.
Favorite Cuisine/Dish: His canonical favorite food is spicy ramen, so I would say Japanese cuisine would be his favorite. But, he has a more diverse taste than just that, so he would probably like Eastern Asian cuisine as a whole. It has a lot of savory and spicy foods that he absolutely loves.
Favorite Drink: He is also a margarita lover, and even though a lot of them are sweet, they are still delicious. However, he orders salt rather than sugar on the rim of the cup because he doesn’t want extra sweetness from sugar.
Favorite Souvenir: He picked up a pair of chopsticks that he always uses. He has finally got chopstick etiquette down, and the set he purchased at a souvenir shop served as a reminder of his hard work.
Favorite Singers/Songs: He is so into both K-Pop and J-Pop that it’s not even funny. He is one of those fans that will tear you up if you didn’t know the words, their meaning, who all the members in the specific group are, etc.
Favorite Movie: I had no idea he was into skateboarding, so I have to say that his favorite movie is Dogtown and Z-Boys. It’s a documentary-type film about the Zephyr skateboard team who helped develop modern skateboarding in the ‘70’s.
Tumblr media
Leona Kingscholar
Favorite Country/City: He is not one to travel voluntarily, so you would have to drag him places. He does want to spoil you, so he will (hesitantly) go along with you. If he had to choose a favorite, it would be Sudan. He doesn’t have a favorite city, but rather a favorite state: the River Nile state. It holds the Meroë Pyramids, and he thought it was pretty cool that Sudan has the most pyramids in the world.
Favorite Cuisine: Pretty far from Sudan, but Argentinian food would be his favorite. They are known for having the best beef, and Leona loves having a good steak. The only downside is that it’s usually served with a few veggies or a chimichurri sauce composed of vegetables.
Favorite Drink: He doesn’t really care, so I would think that he likes beer. He strikes me as the type to have a glass bottle of beer that he holds nearer to his hip; the traditional uncle (Unca) pose.
Favorite Souvenir: When he first went to Sudan, he dressed to fit along with local traditions. He wore a jalabiya in order to maintain modesty, and he actually liked it and hung it in his closet for the next time he visited a country that prefers modesty.
Favorite Singers/Songs: It started as him getting into his edgy phase, but he did not want to go emo. He prefers rock, specifically AC/DC. His favorite song is Highway to Hell.
Favorite Movie: He usually falls asleep during every movie he watches. However, he did like the movie Silence of the Lambs. The way it left him disturbed and on-guard as well as made him want to stay awake is the reason why he would like such a gruesome movie.
Tumblr media
Vil Schoenheit
Favorite Country/City: Cologne, Germany. I’ve always wanted to visit, and it was one of my hyperfixations for a while, but that’s besides the point. The point is that Vil strives for perfection. Part of that is smelling great. Surprise, surprise: cologne originates from Cologne. However, the Cologne Cathedral was beautiful as well.
Favorite Cuisine: I feel like he would like Japanese food as his go-to, as a lot of their food is a lot healthier than others and he strives to be healthy. However, he would like Greek food if he were just going off of personal preference. Briam would probably be his favorite dish.
Favorite Drink: Do smoothies count as food or drinks? People have them for breakfast as they have fruits and veggies, but you ‘drink’ a smoothie. Anyways, his favorite alcoholic drink would be a martini. He is classy and elegant, just like the drink.
Favorite Souvenir: A piece of the Berlin Wall. The history behind it fascinated Vil, and he considers it his most prized souvenir.
Favorite Singers/Songs: Lovefool by Postmodern Jukebox (feat. Haley Reinhart). He heard it from a co-star, and he liked it. Yes, he continues his career in your world.
Favorite Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, as I believe that he loves Audrey Hepburn’s acting in that movie. He also likes Gentlemen Prefer Blondes because of Marilyn Monroe and her iconic character in that movie.
Tumblr media
Rook Hunt
Favorite Country/City: The city of love, the city of lights, Paris. As much as I didn’t want to do such a basic answer, he is a connoisseur of beauty, and Paris at night is a sight to behold. Plus, he speaks French, so why not go to the motherland of the French language?
Favorite Cuisine: His favorite food is canonically liver pâté, so I believe he would love French cuisine the most. However, I would say that Danish cuisine comes second, as they have something similar (a dish that is derived from liver pâté: leverpostej).
Favorite Drink: A French 75 goes a long way with this man. He loves a champagne cocktail. They are typically for celebrations, and Rook just wishes to celebrate life and beauty as a whole. No, he’s not an alcoholic, but when he feels content and exceedingly happy he won’t hesitate in indulging himself with one glass.
Favorite Souvenir: A lavender perfume. He loves how relaxing the smell is.
Favorite Singers/Songs: His favorite song is Love Like You, by Caleb Hyles. Look at the lyrics, and you will see why lol.
Favorite Movie: The Notebook, as it’s a classic film filled with romance. You also cannot tell me that this man is not looking for the Allie to his Noah. He wants a romance story in his life, and that’s why he travels so much.
Tumblr media
Idia Shroud
Favorite Country/City: I can’t decide between Greece and Japan, so I will say that they are tied on Idia’s list. The gamer boy doesn’t really go outside, but when he traveled to these places he absolutely loved it. He’s kind of simple, where he liked the capitals Athens and Tokyo the most.
Favorite Cuisine: His favorite food is just listed as ‘sweets’, and he hates raw fish. We are not going by desserts, but rather overall food, and luckily fish can be replaced by protein alternatives. Plus, the fish can be cooked. That being said, Chinese food would be his favorite. He loves the dragon’s beard candy.
Favorite Drink: He rarely ever drinks alcoholic drinks, as he is already very weak in build (remember his family’s curse?). Adding alcohol to the mix would be a disaster. However, he might like a light beer.
Favorite Souvenir: He likes board games, and while he was in Greece he learned to play Tavli, or Backgammon, and he purchased a board so that he could continue to play it with opponents.
Favorite Singers/Songs: He likes anime intros and outros, and like Cater he is very big on K-Pop and J-Pop, but also C-Pop and T-Pop. His favorite song is 夜に駆ける(Yoru ni Kakeru), by YOASOBI.
Favorite Movie: Your Name, as the two travel just to meet each other, but they have to get used to their new environments first.
Tumblr media
Malleus Draconia
Favorite Country/City: He loves Denmark’s castles, but specifically the Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen. It houses the Danish Crown Jewels as well as the Coronation Robe, and the history behind each item fascinated the draconian prince. The Notre Dame Cathedral in France comes in second for its gargoyles.
Favorite Cuisine: Again, we go by overall cuisine rather than the desserts (otherwise he would choose the cuisines that contributed to ice cream’s existence). He actually can’t choose a favorite, as all is better than Lilia’s cooking. He does have a least favorite, and it’s modern American food. His favorite type of food is street food, as it really allows him to surround himself with the locals and just be normal.
Favorite Drink: He doesn’t believe alcohol is necessary to have fun, but he will indulge himself from time to time. His favorite is a cocktail called a ‘Corpse Reviver’. It’s a morbid name, but it’s the one thing that magic can’t do. He likes when red food coloring is added, as it makes his tongue red.
Favorite Souvenir: Bro probably has enough money to actually purchase the Danish Crown Jewels as well as the English Crown Jewels tbh. Anyways, he actually treasures a book he picked up called ‘Once Upon a Broken Heart’. He was unaware that it was the first book of a sequel series, so he purchased the rest as well as the original series, ‘Caraval’.
Favorite Singers/Songs: His talent is listed as ‘stringed instruments’, but his relent would go beyond just the typical instruments you think of. Is an electric guitar not a stringed instrument? This man is in a 5 Finger Death Punch phase, favorite song being Wrong Side of Heaven.
Favorite Movie: He loves Sleeping Beauty, mostly because of that scene with Aurora and Prince Phillip where they dance together in the forest. Also, he related to Maleficent because she was not invited to see the princess.
Tumblr media
Lilia Vanrouge
Favorite Country/City: His hobby is traveling alone, and I feel like he wouldn’t have a favorite location. He has been everywhere, and the only place he gravitated towards was Brazil. He went to that year’s Carnaval celebration and he actually really liked it. The parade floats were big and beautiful, there were many lights; it was just fun in general. The city of São Paulo comes to mind, as it’s the biggest city by population.
Favorite Cuisine: Part of why he likes Brazil is the food. Tomatoes originate from South America, and Brazil’s dishes hit different (I don’t think I’ve been to an authentic Brazilian food place, but from what I can see and from what I’ve tasted, I love it).
Favorite Drink: In the Trivia section of his Wiki page, it says that he likes potions that are said to taste bitter by everyone else. That being said, I feel like this would transfer to alcoholic drinks, so his favorite drink might be a negroni. It’s a bit bitter, so it suits his taste.
Favorite Souvenir: He picked up some spices in his travels to “better” his cooking (it didn’t help at all; his cooking still sucks even if he’s seen other people do the dishes he's trying to make).
Favorite Singers/Songs: He is what boomers would call “hip and trendy”, so he likes whatever is popular at the moment. Yes, this includes the meme songs that might go viral on TikTok, Instagram, and YT Shorts. At the time of writing this, his favorite song would be Paint the Town Red, by Doja Cat.
Favorite Movie: He liked the movie Crimson Peak. The costumes as well as the acting were amazing, and he loves learning about the Victorian Era and how both England and the United States were developing during the industrial era.

Jane’s Recipe Blog: Summer Birthday Cake
(irl recipe is modified from weekend at the cottage Harvey Wallbanger Cake)
Tumblr media
Magic Mix Orange Liqueur Cake
posted by user: Sugar
to: sugarandspikes.auradon.blog
date: 27 of June, Summer
Summertime, and the living is busy! I don't know about you, but between my school and my family, I've spent 72 of the last 78 hours running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
Tumblr media
the girls are enjoying the summer weather at least! My roommate's boyfriend brought home another crate of chicks for the flock last week. We're being overrun with eggs. Expect more eggy recipes very soon!!
If you're anything like me, summer is the busiest time of year. School programs for me and Spikes are both picking up the pace with our summer service hours, and I've got my roommate and her boyfriend home all the time while they're on break. It's great having the extra hands around the house, but it also means that we've been visiting and hosting family and friends basically non-stop since the summer started.
I love baking. I love my family. I love watching my family enjoy my baking. But do you know what I don't love?
Missing out on those special summer moments because I'm spending every moment I'm home in the kitchen.
That's why this is the absolute easiest-ever summer cake. It's moist, soft, and packed full of the most delicious orange flavor. The orange glaze is easy to whip up in a few minutes, and it's a great excuse to buy a new whisk!
Tumblr media
Check out my lemon bars recipe post for the story of how my last whisk died 😱
The non-stick coating on my new whisk makes it great for whipping up glazes, syrups, honeys, and other sticky sauces. Once things calm down, I'm thinking of making a lavender-infused honey glaze to put on my lemon poppy seed muffins for that little extra touch of sweetness.
And speaking of nonstick, the coating on the whisk makes it non-magnetic! Which is GREAT if you're like me and hosting any fairy friends this summer. Magnetic fields play havoc with flower fairy equilibrium. It's cool to be kind to our neighbors and avoid cooking with magnets when you're making treats for non-humanoids.
That being said, this cake doesn't involve any time boiling hot syrups, which makes it perfect for hot days like we've been having in Auradon lately. It also goes perfectly with a cold glass of lemonade, or a cup of iced ginger tea. The orange in the cake will meld great with lemon or ginger flavors, or provide a beautiful contrast to some black coffee, if you're just trying to get through the day 🙃
Tumblr media
Sugar Says:
Watch your oven temp on this one - it's easy to underbake and end up with a cake that's still soggy in the middle.
If you like a more flavorful glaze, add an extra splash of vanilla to your mix. If you're serving this to kids, omit the vodka and swap for equal parts water or orange juice. (coconut water is also a delicious swap!)
Make sure to double check the size of your boxed cake mix BEFORE you add it to the bowl! A double size box mix may look good to your eyes, but it'll look a lot less good when it overflows your bowl and takes over your entire kitchen.
Spikes Says:
Why are there like four cups of booze in the cake??
I don't think it's fair to tell the kids they can't have this
We need to make a chocolate version of this STAT.
Sugar Says:
Magic Mix Chocolate Cherry Rum cake is going on the test kitchen list for the holidays!
THE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS
For the cake:
1 box deluxe yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla flavoured cooked pudding and pie filling
1 cup canola oil
3/4 cup orange juice, fresh or from concentrate
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup Galliano liqueur
4 eggs
Softened butter (for pan)
For the glaze:
1 1/2 cup icing sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon Galliano liqueur
1 teaspoon vodka
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Grease a Bundt pan. Or a regular cake pan. I’m not your mom. A cupcake tin will also work, but know that this case doesn’t rise a ton, so you may need to fill your cupcakes higher than usual to compensate.
Add the cake mix and pudding mix into a medium-sized bowl.
Add oil, orange juice, vodka, Galliano, and eggs. A stand mixer will make this step easier, or you can conscript your boyfriend into mixing it at a low steady speed for 2 minutes 🙂
Pour the cake mixture into the prepared pan. Tap the pan on the counter to pop any bubbles in the batter.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
Let the cake cool. This step is essential. Fend off any partners who want to eat the cake hot out of the pan. Let cool about 20 minutes, or one really vicious round of Uno.
Once cake is partially cool, gently loosen the edges. Invert onto a plate.
Let the cake cool completely at room temperature (about 3-4 hours) before frosting. Do not try and hide the cake in the freezer. It will not work. They will eat it anyway and you’ll have to start over.
To glaze:
Mix the icing sugar, orange juice, Galliano liqueur and vodka until the mixture is smooth. Add more orange juice just a few drops at a time to achieve a thinner consistency.
Drizzle the glaze over the cake. Allow time for glaze to set before eating.

To everyone What is your favorite type of ice cream!!11
All of them!
Bumblebee.
What?
I like oil cake flavour.
That's probably my favourite too.
There is a Cybertronian flavour that I like. It is... probably... a little like the popular Scottish rum and raisin flavour, but it is a Cybertronian flavour that is popular here. You find it in most Cybertronian market places.
They call it "pitstop", for some reason.
It's associated with racing. Made from energon wine and mixed spiced fruits. For some reason, it became the taste of summer – and competitive racing.
Which flavour do you like?
Pitstop is a good one. I kind of like plain cream, though. Maybe just that and some jam or sauce.
I like chocolate lugnut flavour with iron filings on top.
Very fancy.

Hi Patt!
Pedro was once asked in an interview what his idea food day was and he said:
“I’d start with very strong, very tasty espresso, runny eggs and buttery toast, someone to share blueberry pancakes with, and then more coffee. A burger and a shake (or a beer— or both) for lunch, and at some point gin and oysters. And someone with me to remind me to eat some greens”
—interview with New Potato 2014
What’s your ideal food day?
Here she is! Kat and her awesome asks blowing my mind. ILY, really,
Weeeeell... Let me think...
Tumblr media
Let's think I'm rich, first of all, so I would start my morning with a Starbucks Mocca... A TALL one, thank you. And a chocolate muffin (no need for it to be from Starbucks but... We're there, why not)
Then around 13h I'd have el aperitivo (here in Spain we like to have some drinks like beer or any kind of soda and some tapas maybe when is our day off... and it's call like that, "tomar el aperitivo") before lunch (we eat pretty LATE compared to any other country, like anytime from 13h-16h). I'd go for a cold beer and some fries with different sauces (I'M ADDICTED TO FRENCH FRIES, you must know)
For lunch I'd have KFC. Why? Cause that's the first fast food that came to my mind, but any other would be welcome. Hot wings LARGE meal for me. Reg coke. Yummy.
And I'd have a fruity cocktail or a rum-coke (yeah, that's what I drink, hahahaha) and toast with friends 'cause I had such a wonderful non-stop-eating day. I'd have something light and healthy, like I salad when I came back home and that's it.
I think it's more than enough hahahahaha
Tumblr media
As I always do whenever I finish my stupid answers... It's my turn to ask. I really wanna know what would you have!
Thank you again for your asks, I do appreaciate them sm.

Just scratch the itch a little.
Is Daeron just like his brothers?
A yes or no answer is enough 🤤
I know you said just yes or no is fine, but the question didn’t feel that simple. I wanted to say “he’s just like his brothers in that theyre all ice creams, but they’re different flavors.” But I didn’t know if that made sense, so now I’m subjecting you to an overly long ice cream metaphor.
Tumblr media
(^this was the least erotic ice cream GIF I could find on tumblr, just so you all know)
Aegon is like a sundae with all the toppings. The usual stuff like sprinkles and chocolate chips, but also weird toppings like hot sauce and potato chips. You look at it and go “wow that’s crazy, no one wants to eat that.” But at his core he’s a simple vanilla (made with real vanilla bean—vanilla done right is NOT boring, it is delicious and flavorful) who just wants to be appreciated instead of the throwaway flavor. (Translation: he can bring kinky stuff to the table, but as long as he’s cuddling with Jace he’s happy.)
Aemond is the opposite. He looks like a simple scoop of very dark chocolate that makes you think, “OK, intense with a hint of bitterness, I can handle it in moderation.” Then you take a bite and go “holy shit there’s A LOT of nuts hiding in here, how did I not see them before??” Then you realize the ice cream is also soaked in rum, and your plans for the night turn out very different. (Translation: he seems like a “missionary only” guy but actually has tons of crazy kinks, and Luce has never met a sweet she didn’t like.)
Daeron is like a cone of soft serve from a dual-flavor machine. One flavor is strawberry: how wholesome and refreshing! But the other flavor is something much more unusual, like black truffle. Joff is the person controlling the machine and deciding how much black truffle to infuse into the strawberry. Also she’s the one holding the cone so it doesn’t fall over and get wrecked. (Translation: Daeron is sweet and Prince Charming-ish by default, but Joff adds some craziness to him according to her preferences.)
In summary: the Targbros are all ice creams, and ice cream makes all the Velargirls happy in different ways. 🍦

Icy Delights
Tumblr media
Few things make me happier than ice cream. So, with the approaching summertime, I wanted to imagine RTTE characters at an ice cream parlor.
Hiccup: He's getting a banana split because it's customizable. There just isn't a world where Hiccup isn't making something. The owners at the shop probably named some special version of the split after him and now, it's one of their best sellers. As a result, they like him showing up.
Astrid: If they offer spicy flavors, she's getting those or the tartest ones. She's convinced they're going to make her tougher in the process. The story workers are always amused/horrified by what she ends up getting. To make matters a bit better, she gets a cone too.
Snotlout: He samples everything. EVERYTHING. The store owners are this close to hating him, but he does at least buy a triple scoop afterwards. There's no particular flavor he's looking for. He just knows he can try them all and is making the most of that.
Tuffnut: He gets the world's most elaborate sundae. It's actually impressive how much attention the workers need to pay if they're going to get this order right. Only a cherry and chocolate sauce on the whipped cream overtop the flavor on the left, please. The employees almost hate him too because of this, but his friends tip well to make up for this.
Ruffnut: She religiously gets flavors with nuts in them because she feels like it's required with her name. Black walnut, pistachio, butter pecan...if they're not offering one with nuts, she's getting some mixed in. An added bonus is that she can throw them at Tuffnut and anyone else who gets in her line of fire.
Fishlegs: He's getting the largest amount of scoops that can reasonably be sold to an individual. The store owners love him because they know they're getting a minimum of $20 off his order alone. No worries. He'll eat it before anything melts.
Dagur: He makes it a mission to eventually order every flavor, but he won't get samples. He believes that's cheating. So, he goes all in and just deals with the consequences if he hates a certain type. The others try to talk him out of this plan. It never works. If he's got a flavor Snotlout likes, the dark-haired guy will sometimes try to steal a spoonful. He gets growled at whenever this happens (even if Dagur doesn't like the flavor. It's the principle of the matter).
Heather: She's getting the Neapolitan flavors either all together or separately. There's probably a fruit toppling too if that's an option. Her order is easy, so the employees try to do it first. Then she can just watch the chaos ensue while she's enjoying the dessert.
Mala: She's getting sorbets and gelato because those are the fancier flavors. Her order is taken somewhere in the middle because she knows it's going to take forever to wait for Tuffnut, but she also wants to consider her options well enough. By the time she and Dagur have theirs, they are happily sitting off in a corner of the shop, feeding each other.
Throk: He's always taking forever because he's trying to decide what flavor would complement a nut without seeming obvious that it's his goal, but if Ruffnut WANTS to share...then he's ready. What a coincidence😉.
Stoick: He just get a milkshake. To him, it's how the ice cream is going to end up anyway. Getting scoops is delaying the inevitable and too youthful for him. He'll leave it to the younger ones.
Gobber: Gives zero darns about ice cream melting or seeming youthful. He's getting the alcoholic flavors like tequila and rum raisin to see if he'll get tipsy or not. (Spoiler. He does)

Because we were talking about it
What are the lads favourite ice cream flavours? 🍦
Tumblr media
Oh I love this! @laurfilijames You do spoil me.
Ok, so...
Dave: That man is a rum and raisin all day long.
It never changes. He'll happily try whatever flavour I have but when it comes to his own he always chooses his go to.
Pete: I see Pete as a black cherry and amaretto kind of man. Although In all fairness, he's less bothered about the flavour and more interested in what he can do with it. 😉
Swill: Our boy is all things chocolate. Double chocolate, triple chocolate, chocolate sauce and sprinkles because he's a giant man baby.
Ned: Ned is a white chocolate and raspberry man. Although when the mood takes him he does like to mix it up a little and add in a scoop of honeycomb, just to be eccentric.
Ike: Ike is vanilla, in every sense. He knows what he likes and he's not interested in trying something new.
Bovver: Bov likes bubblegum because it reminds him of when he was younger and he secretly enjoys the nostalgia of it, although he wouldn't admit that.

I formally recommend making slow-cooked tacos, some chorizo fino+beef cooked on medium-highheat with tons of paprika+cayenne pepper+cumin+minced garlic and no water only hot sauce or jars of salsa for liquid content (though one half-cup of a alcohol like whiskey or rum for deglazing is supreme), I usually add a single dark chocolate bar to bring the flavors out more but outright cocoa works too if done is small amounts.
Obviously adjust to your spice tolerance, but I highly suggest taco-meat this way in a dutch oven, add whatever rice/vegetables/beans/additives you like to it halfway through to let them soak in the flavors.
If tacos aren't what you're in the mood for then a simple pull-apart bread recipe might be better. Can make it cheesy, garlicy, or even stuffed with already cooked meats for pull-apart meat-buns.
Sorry for the text-wall I am fond of cooking although not a chef nor cook.
Oh this might be the winner I love tacos 📝 thank you!!
