Watching Vendetta right now. Plot includes Chris, Leon and Rebecca, so it's already better, cause we see those three interact) Action there is just so ridiculous tho! Yes, even more ridiculous, than Leon in a tank vs Tyrant.

(Also scenes with Rebecca in lab makes me think Mia would act exactly like her, when working with connections. Except, you know, she would develop bioweapon, instead of cure for it :p)

What these movies definetly achieve is giving you feel of world post-Racoon City. Like, they definitely convey, how horrible Bioterrorism is and how it sadly became an everyday occurance...

Summary: Yoshiko isn't feeling the best at the festival

“Ayumu-chan! Set…” Riko called, only to realize her coworkers couldn’t hear her over the din of the festival.

“I wonder what Ayumu is gonna make for her girlfriends.” Yoshiko pondered aloud.

“Eh?”

“She just bought a bunch of yarn from that vendor.”

“Ah.” Riko recalled her friend’s love of knitting.

“Anything catching your eye, Riri?”

“Mm… not yet…”

The couple continued to meander through the crowded path, scanning the stalls for souvenirs.

“Oh, Lanzhu-chan is here as well.” Riko said.

Yoshiko flinched at the mention of the angel’s name but elsewise subdued her instinctual reaction. Lanzhu had been surprisingly civil to her, if a bit narcissistic, but that was just angelic nature. And while part of Yoshiko wanted to reciprocate, just being within that Holy aura made her feel…

No… not now… I’m on a date with Riri. We’re having a good time…

“Yocchan?”

“I’m fine.” She lied.

Damn. Yoshiko realized she had chosen the wrong direction to look. The pink-haired celestial was right there, not ten meters away. However, something else drew Yoshiko’s attention; Mia, holding something out to Shioriko. Yoshiko’s brow furrowed with recognition.

Why in the Nine Circles of Hell is that damned jackalope giving a silver crucifix to a vampire?! And why isn’t the angel stopping them? Are they all idiots?

Shioriko touched the pendant and… nothing happened. She smiled and Mia slipped the chain around her neck.

What. The. Hell.

Yoshiko’s mind reeled as she tried to process what she had just witnessed. Then her stomach churned as she realized how close she had gotten to the angel. And…

“Yocchan?”

“Uhm, I’m actually kinda hungry.” Yoshiko decided to say. “And look over there, a choco banana stand. My treat?” She grabbed her girlfriend’s hand.

Riko raised an eyebrow but said nothing while letting herself be led toward the food stalls.

“Yocchan.”

Yoshiko clenched her jaw. She knew that tone was coming. The couple had just arrived back at her apartment for the night.

“Would you please tell me what’s gotten into you tonight?”

Yoshiko sighed. “I’m sorry, Riri.”

She had done her best to keep up a cheerful façade for the rest of their time at the festival, but it seemed Riko knew her too well already and had seen through it. Hindsight being 20-20, she probably should have just asked to leave early.

“It’s… hard to explain.”

Arms gently slid around Yoshiko’s waist from behind and a chin landed on her shoulder. “Would you be willing to try?”

“It’s ███████.”

“Eh?”

“It’s an untranslatable angelic word.” Yoshiko scoffed. “And apparently, having fallen, I’ve lost the ability to pronounce it. A foolish mortal tried to translate it once and ended up creating the entire language of Enochian, which… don’t get me started on that mess… The Welsh came close with their own <hiraeth> but…”

“Can you describe it?”

“Well, to oversimplify, it means longing.”

“Longing?”

“For Heaven. For His presence. That He instilled within us.”

“… Oh…” Riko tightened her embrace.

“One would think that severing my Heavenly tether would allow me to escape that curse, but I guess that is just a fallen angel’s luck.”

“Uhm, if I may ask, why do I not feel it as well?” Riko inquired. “Are we not of the same ilk?”

“You were born in Hell.”

“Yes.”

“You are unaware of the Glo… nature of Heaven, and thus are incapable of experiencing ███████. And may you forever remain so.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You’ve nothing to apologize for, Riri.”

“But if I cannot empathize, is there anything else I can do to help?”

“Just… be with me.” Yoshiko said, turning in Riko’s arms so she could face her and return the embrace. “Help me remember why I am better off here than there.”

“Alright.”

“Thank you, Riri.”

How long the fallen angel and demon stood together in the entryway, neither knew, nor did they care.

Author's Note Continued: Whenever I read a word as being untranslatable, but Google translate happily spits out a translation, I know I'm going to end up with multiple tabs open researching a deeper meaning. And that's exactly what happened here. Not complaining, mind.

Anyway, I've seen many movies and shows that depict angels, fallen angels, and demons who were once angels, as having a built-in need for Heaven and/or God that they cannot ever truly shake. There is a fantastic rant from Dogma that unfortunately ended up on the cutting room floor, but can still be found around the net, that describes this feeling better than anything else I've seen. And while there was no way I could capture anything close to the power of that rant within the confines of a 4k character limit event entry, I do hope I at least got the sentiment across.

I will probably expand on this scene when I get around to adding it to the PoH:PP collection proper.

Been seeing a lot of anchients gone bad aus and wanted to try my own twist but instead of going the sole villian route since thats whats most people do I just made it sorta depressing instead, I dont remember if I shared the first drafts but I'll put it here as reference as well

I'll start off first with the Cacao kingdom

Something happened that led Cacao to be in his current state (still not completely fleshed out but think of what happened in his chapter with his ??? Form but worse) and in the process Choco (who was there at the time) looses his arm and manages to get out of the fiasco. Cacao has no idea where he is or if he's even alive and now trapped in this form and assuming his Sons dead is left an absolute mess. His emotional state affects the kingdom and it becomes extremely unsafe, constant blizzards, wildlife going crazy, licorice sea, the whole thing. The closer to the citadel the more dangerous it is

Choco: Really just trying to live day by day, still struggling to relearn a lot of things after loosing his arm he just isn't in the physical or mental state to be capable of doing anything to help alone, after meeting with Milk and Yam he gradually becomes more ready to try to approach the citadel with their help.

Milk and Yam: Enter the kingdom after things have gone south to help anyone they can find, get people out of rubble, tend to the injured, fight off wildlife and licorice blobs, help people flee, that sort of thing.

Caramel arrow, Crunchy chip, and citadel staff: Given how dangerous it became right outside the citadel those inside are practically stuck in, they could try to leave but it would be extremely hard, they discovered that the worse state the king was in the worse it was outside and have since been trying their best to keep him as calm as possible while they try to figure out how to bring him back to his original state.

Vanilla kingdom + Hollyberry kingdom

One day residence of the vanilla kingdom woke up to find their world flipped upside down and the anchient unresponsive, due to the situation the tech used to get people to and from the kingdom was broken and everyone was stuck up there.

Crepe, Espresso, and Black Raisin are trying to find any sort of solutions, the anchient cannot be reached and they have no ideas as to whats going on or why

The hollyberry kingdom had been gradually being overrun by carnivorous plants, the anchient had gone MIA and things where quickly becoming uninhabitable, in a last ditch attempt a small group sought out an elusive individua that was known to traverse the jungles nearby the kingdom in the hopes she may know the answer, what they didn't expect was for her to lead them to directly to hollyberry who had been taken over by an unknown parasitic plant

Golden Cheese kingdom + Lily

When things started going south Golden Cheese fearing having to go through a similar expirence to the war all over again went into hiding and fell asleep in a digital coma of sorts. The only Anchient left was Lily whom knowing Cheese was likley to have went to the area her old kingdom was imediate went there to seek her out knowing it was the most likley to be sucessfull. She instead found what could best be described as a digital avatar, it could not speak and would simlly just stare at the faerie. What she didn't know was that this avatar had been programmed by cheese in the case of emergency, currently being used by the light of abundance in order to ensure cheese could be found if conditions required it

Por cierto..VIRGINIA MAESTRO..le he mandado a ANGELA una solicitud para ver su INSTAGRAM pues lo tiene en modo PRIVADO y soy CASI DE LA FAMILIA jaja [por cierto abajo aparece el IS de FERNANDO DIZ que vive en EL PALMA DE TROYA que tiene su propio VATIKANO=grupo de Carlos ARMAS tras LOCO MIA que debutaron con cd TAIO=SOL en Japonés.. y que estaba junto a mi y mi vecino JUAN JESUS MENESES PARRA en el concierto de la gira NUDE de PRINCE en estadio MANZANA+eRES donde toco días después en julio 1990 MADONNA con su gira LA AMBICION RUBIA de la que hizo el documental VERDAD O DESAFIO..que en ESPAÑA fue EN LA CAMA CON MADONNA donde beso a Antonio BANDERAS en Hotel PALACE aunque estaba su ex_mujer Ana LEFA que trinco una millonada por el divorcio porque BANDERAS se abrió paso en HOLLYWOOD entre BRAGAS como las de MELANIE GRIFFITH jaja y luego además Abrazo al PUTO BUDA jaja]

..por cierto..a FERNANDO DIZ le cogimos entre el ENGLISH y YO cuando dormía la BORRACHERA y el GLOBO DE PORROS en uno de los dos Bungalows que alquilamos en TORREMOLINOS'93..y lo tiramos a la PISCINA..pero no flotaba y creía que se hacía el MUERTO para que nos tirasemos a SALVARLO por lo que nos dijo el JARDINERO que o lo sacábamos nosotros o se tiraba él ..por lo que me tire yo y lo puse a flote..poniendose a NADAR sin SENTIDO o hasta que se choco con la pared..lo sacamos del agua y se metió en otro BUNGALOW..y una mujer empezó a gritar que había un VIOLADOR porque se metió en su CAMA..tuve que ir a por él porque iba a llamar a la POLICIA.

Por cierto.. nada más llegar a los BUNGALOWS a Oscar LOBATO PALOMERO.. le dio un APRETON y ATASCO el W.C. De tal forma que los TROZOS DE MIERDA FLOTABAN POR EL BAÑO y tuvo que desatascarlo con su propia MANO..mientras decía que quien se RIERA le partía la cara por lo que me tuve que ir a la PISCINA..fueron 15 días de descontrol total..autentica LOCURA jaja y la BSO fue el cd EL ESPIRITU DEL VINO DE HEROES DEL SILENCIO cuya gira EL CAMINO DEL EXCESO acababa de ver sólo 2 días después que a INXS [=IN EXCESS] en sala Divino AQUALUNG
