I was so happy with the way this necklace turned out. I pinched myself a little while making it but as long as it's with the pliers and not the side cutters, that's okay. I was planning for it to be a fourteen inch necklace but it turned out to be 13 inches, I'm really bad at telling how much I actually need but it's okay, I have a skinny neck so no harm done this time and it probably looks better this way than it would have, maybe.

Discover this exclusive piece from my New 2024 Collection available on my Etsy shop.

With this necklace, I draw inspiration from the "Lover's Eye" jewelry that was popular in the 19th century. Between the 1790s and 1830s, just before and during the Regency era, a unique trend emerged in the United Kingdom: a piece of jewelry featuring a miniature painting of the eye of a loved one. This could typically be a brooch, ring, locket, bracelet, or even a small keepsake box—a cherished memento worn close to the heart while awaiting the return of a beloved person. In affluent circles, both men and women would exchange such tokens.

The ribbon is made of copper/brown/bronze velvet, and the brown beads are crafted from glass. The choker is adjustable to fit your measurements, with a clasp that includes a small chain to adjust the size and height of the pendant.

To ensure the necklace’s protection, it is carefully shipped in a jewelry box, wrapped in tissue paper, placed in a solid case, and packaged in sturdy cardboard.
