Still aus…

OFIS Collection is a minimal furniture collection designed by Vienna and Berlin-based studio chmara.rosinke. The office objects are constructed of timber and manufactured in monochrome color schemes. While comfort is still an important aspect to office furniture, the studio decided to create a series of objects that would allow users to cycle between different seating options, which includes a chaise lounge that promotes resetting and relaxation.

COS and J.W. Anderson x Converse Examples
Tumblr media
I really liked a lot of COS’ pop-up store concepts, but this one really stood out to me since I am interested in the idea of mobility for my pop-up space. I thought that this was a really refreshing concept for pop-up retail. This was designed by Chmara.Rosinke Studio in 2012 for COS’ “Mobile Hospitality” concept. First of all, the pop-up can be seen as an installation with many moving parts and different ways to set up depending on the products. It can adjust to any site as it pleases and I think this fluidity between sites is what makes this pop-up stand out. This is also a great way to interact with consumers since it sticks out on the street, allowing COS to hit many different consumers from all over the map without being site-specific. Consumers can interact with the products or the “installation”. It’s interesting to see how an “installation” or stall can also be a pop-up space no matter where it goes.

This is J.W. Anderson X Converse’s collaboration pop-up store, called Toy Gallery, in 2018. It was located in SoHo, London with no specific site in place. What was interesting about their use of space was the gallery/museum effect, displaying their sneakers on a pedestal and spacing them out throughout the space. Although it was foreshadowing a sense of exhibition and art, it still felt playful through the colors and geometric forms. This “toy” aspect helped keep the space interactive and would allow people to try or pick up the shoes to see. I found that the space built tension between if art is an object of view only or an object to use in our life. I think J.W. Anderson x Converse really tried to build this conversation of art through their way of making consumers navigate this space. I really think this concept was well-executed and something I would be interested in doing for my future project.

THIS FURNITURE COLLECTION MAKES THE OFFICE PLAYFUL!
Tumblr media
If the OFIS Collection through chmara.rosinke vaguely reminds you of LEGO bricks. Minecraft, or Jenga, allow it's acknowledge that it’s absolutely intentional! There’s a not unusual place consensus that making items curved permits them to appearance much less threatening and greater playful. However the OFIS indicates that if executing right, the other is simply as true! Ikea, Ashley, Steelcase and Herman miller are the biggest furniture brands in the world. They are famous for their home and office furniture designs. Their furniture collection is one of the best. Constructing from timber, and coloured with strictly monochrome hues. The OFIS furniture collection promotes a feel of a laugh and relaxation. The series, which incorporates a swivel chair, a kneeling stool, desk, chaise-longue. And status luminaire, follows a particularly Constructivist-meets-Memphis 2.zero layout approach. And questions the whole lot we understand approximately shape and its dating with consolation in addition to spaces. Even the call OFIS flouts the conventional spelling. Displaying how the gathering seems at reinterpreting our “expert” and “serious” dating with our workplace and its artifacts. The series debuting after the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the world. As a manner of creating the workplace seem greater benign. As those expert work spaces starting out infiltrating our houses and sacred spaces. Read the full article
