Who Is Kayastha Chitragupta?
Tumblr media
Kayastha Chitragupta is a Hindu deity who is believed to be the divine accountant and record keeper of the deeds of all humans. He is also known as the "God of Justice" and is considered to be one of the 12 Aditya’s (sons of the Hindu god, Surya). In this article, we will explore the origins and significance of Kayastha Chitragupta in Hindu mythology.
Origins
According to Hindu mythology, Kayastha Chitragupta was created by Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. It is said that when Brahma was creating the universe, he realized that there was no one to keep track of the deeds of humans. He then created Chitragupta from his body and gave him the task of recording the actions of all humans on Earth. Chitragupta is believed to have emerged from Brahma's body with a pen and a book in his hands, ready to fulfill his duties.
Significance
Kayastha Chitragupta is highly revered in Hinduism as he is believed to be the one who keeps track of all the good and bad deeds of humans. It is believed that after a person dies, their soul is taken to Chitragupta who then reads out their deeds from his book. Based on these deeds, he decides the person's fate in the afterlife. This belief serves as a moral compass for Hindus, encouraging them to lead a righteous life.
Worship
Kayastha Chitragupta is primarily worshipped by the Kayastha community, who are believed to be the descendants of Chitragupta. They celebrate his birthday, known as Chitragupta Puja, on the first day of the Hindu month of Kartik. On this day, they offer prayers and perform rituals to honor Chitragupta and seek his blessings for prosperity and success. It is also believed that by performing this puja, one's sins are forgiven and they are blessed with good fortune.
Iconography
Chitragupta is often depicted as a fair and handsome man with a white beard, holding a pen and a book in his hands. He is usually seen riding a white horse and is adorned with a crown and jewels. In some depictions, he is also shown holding a sword, symbolizing his role as the God of Justice. He is often accompanied by his wife, Kirti, who is the goddess of fame and prosperity.
Legacy
The Kayastha community, who are believed to be the descendants of Chitragupta, have played a significant role in Indian history. They were traditionally known as scribes and were responsible for maintaining records and documents for the ruling dynasties. They were also known for their administrative skills and were often employed as ministers and advisors to the kings. Today, the Kayastha community continues to hold a prominent position in Indian society, with many of them excelling in various fields such as politics, business, and the arts.
In conclusion, Kayastha Chitragupta holds a significant place in Hindu mythology and is revered by the Kayastha community. His role as the divine accountant and record keeper serves as a reminder for Hindus to lead a righteous life. His legacy continues to live on through the Kayastha community, who have made significant contributions to Indian society.

Since I haven't really posted him here, one of my dbz OCs is an Oni named Jitra
Former scribe and personal attendant to King Yemma, but now he serves Piccolo Daimao 🐌👹
Since dbz's King Yemma is based on the Hindu god of Death, Yama, Jitra is loosely based on/inspired by Yama's personal scribe/accountant, the deity Chitragupta who is the Registrar of the Dead and god of Data
Chitragupta > Chitra > Jitra
I think Jitra is incredibly stoic/deadpan, except around the Daimao..... and maybe Piano too, who i think he'd have a mild rivalry with lmao :3
I never know if I should call them oni or ogres since I see the show and fans use them interchangeably lol but he's one of these guys

I was drawing blue rosettes of a Portugese window grill when my son looked up from his phone and said, "This is going to be really hard - David Lynch..."
Jan. 16-17, 2025 / Pada 4 of Uttara Ashadha in Sagittarius / Prolific Writing
David Lynch: Capricorn Sun & Libra Rising - He Is The Arm
Based on my corrections to settings and calculations using online planetariums and my own star charts, which synchronise the constellations with the Nakshatras (28) and the Gregorian calendar - four years' work.
Kristen Patterson / KP O'Neil
Blue Skies and Golden Sunshine All Along the Way - I'm Going Where He's Going...
Still crying my heart out, though I know he's only changed locations - the lovely people of his YouTube communities... how to keep everyone together?
Just a few of his placements, for now -
born at 3:00 AM in Missoula, Montana, on Jan. 20, 1946 -
David's Ascendant is ruled by the Price That Covers - the star of the upper arm of Libra - in Pada 3 of Vishakha: Family Business - but as Zubenelgenubi is also on the horizon, I'm extending his Ascendant to include Pada 2 as well - Asset Manager;
extending it also because his Descendant is Bharani, in Aries - however, the constellation of Bharani spans Padas 1 & 2: Ancestral Ties & Shamanism -
the Nakshatra of Kali's cosmic Yoni, and I hold to the story of Kali creating birth charts/Akashic records for Chitragupta to manage -
Bharani - Andromeda, the place of our incarnations;
I can't split the constellation to match his Ascendant - I have to decide it's dominant over the Price That Covers in Vishakha P3 - that his death-drive (which is his Descendant/core personality in submission-reaction mode - thank you, Gordon Allport, as well as Sabina Spielrein) is steering him -
and sure enough, Sabina's birthdate falls on his Ascendant! So far, we're on the money -
but this means I reset David's Ascendant for Padas 1 & 2 of Vishakha - and when I line up Vishakha P1 with Ashwini P1, one wheel inside the other (jpegs in a Word file,) and draw lines between Padas based on a typed table of two columns listing the Padas - one column starting with Ashwini P1, the other with Vishakha P1 - I get a set of four circuits of stars - some people's circuits are open-ended, creating a dynamics of free-will/wheel, but David's are fixed - if I'm right, there's no wiggle-room for him, but he's a master of chaos magic -
confined, he is paradoxically able to create some freedom -
and Vishakha P1 belongs to Pioneers; his life-drive/Ascendant, aligned with Sabina's birthdate, serves his Descendant/death-drive (concept developed by Sabina) ruled by the constellation of Bharani, the Cosmic Yoni... Pioneering & Asset Management serving Ancestral Ties & Shamanism...
I think so!
David's Sun - instincts and triggers in the gameplay/I Ching of Life - is in Pada 1 of Abhijit: Surgeons, Pathologists, Seamstresses/Tailors, Machinists & Precision-Workers -
("I love factories and naked women;")
and his Neptune - travels, living locations tied to soul contracts and Muse Spirit Guides - is in Virgo, ruled by the star of the Prophetesses, the Pythonesses, the Sibyls - the Black Doves - Porrima: in Pada 3 of Hasta - channeled writing.
For starts...

Aru Shah and The End of Time
Chapter 31 - Chapter 44
OMG ARE THEY INSIDE A DRAGON?!
I still don’t get what that Ball is, the only thing it does is glow and grows warm
So you mean to tell me that they traveled all the way to the Kingdom or Death just to activate the weapons THEY ALREADY HAD?!
I would be so mad if I was them
Okay it’s not a shocker because I had a spoilers but it’s still weird to think about how The Sleeper is Aru’s father
Well damn Aru’s grandfather is a bitch
Not the reporter making jokes about the virus, like tf
I have to say, the Sleeper is kind of an idiot
And I hope he isn’t the main villain of the series. I want someone more terrifying
This books says the the future is fixed but if you read or watch the Mahabharata you’ll see that it’s not. Destiny just knew what choice people will make no matter what. Why else would god (Krishna aka Vishnu himself) would try to change the Kuruavas mind, many times? If the Kuruavas were the prisoners of their own destiny then they wouldn’t have been considered villains.
Everyone has a choice and gods can only guide you/tell what the right path is, in the end you have to make the choice to follow it. Vishnu only reincarnates when Earth and Dharma is in trouble, and humans can’t save it.
At least that’s what I believe
The fate of people like Rama and Krishna are fixed because they were put on earth for a specific reason but normal humans future are up to our choices. Gods can’t changed that, they can only hope to lead us in the right way.
The gods do know what happens in the future but they can’t do anything because those are our choices.
I hate that Boo is Shakuni
Mini had two Harry Potter moments now
I wish Chitragupta was my uncle
Aru meet with Aiden I-

Khajuraho
Tumblr media
India, the birthplace of the Kamasutra, finds its ultimate expression in the enchanting town of Khajuraho. Nestled in central India, Khajuraho is a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site that beautifully intertwines themes of love, life, lust, and worship through its stunning temple complexes.
The name Khajuraho originates from ‘khajura,’ the Hindi word for date palm fruit, abundantly found in the region. This quaint town in Madhya Pradesh is renowned for its ancient temples, built by the Chandela Dynasty in the 10th century.
The Khajuraho temples, hailed as India's most exquisite, draw inspiration from both Hindu and Jain traditions. Constructed with sandstone atop granite foundations, these temples are adorned with a breathtaking array of intricate carvings. The architectural brilliance and the detailed craftsmanship of these carvings have earned Khajuraho worldwide admiration.
While time and invading armies have taken their toll, reducing the original 80 temples to around 20 well-preserved marvels, the remaining structures continue to captivate visitors. Each temple stands as a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage and the remarkable artistry of the past.
The Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, the largest and most celebrated in Khajuraho, showcases over 825 statues and figurines. Visitors are left in awe of the sculptures, marveling at the 10th-century artists' skill in capturing expressions and narratives without uttering a single word. These stone figures tell complex stories that transcend time.
Other notable temples include the Lakshmana Temple and Chitragupta Temple, both of which are must-sees. For the perfect photo opportunity, visit during sunset when the temples glow with a golden hue.
Enhance your trip to Khajuraho with a visit to the Tribal and Folk Art Museum. This museum offers a fascinating glimpse into local crafts, traditions, and culture, providing a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage.
Just 25 kilometers from Khajuraho lies Panna National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Home to over 200 species of birds and animals, including cheetahs, tigers, and bears, Panna offers thrilling wildlife safaris that perfectly complement your cultural exploration of Khajuraho.
If you appreciate aesthetically designed temples, seek to experience storytelling through stone sculptures, or wonder at the ingenuity of ancient artists, Khajuraho is a destination that promises to inspire and awe.
