yura yura ring dong dance duet by aya and chisato is probably the gayest most queercoded thing ever and i cannot explain Why. in the anime it means so much to the two of them - its their duet, their song. chisato doesnt want to perform it, doesnt want to fail again, but with pasupares help she does and her and aya deliver a performance... a duet... their duet. their song.

If they remembered...

I think we can all agree that the ending was slightly lackluster. Them just forgetting everything we had watched them go through so here’s what I think would have been cool. Like I think what a really interesting dynamic would have been was that the players all remember and that would have opened up a possible S3 of them re-navigating their place in the world with PTSD and becoming closer with players than the friends they had before. Almost like in shows like Manifest or The Hollow. That way the borderlands can still exist in the player's minds without going against the canon of the meteor.

Like imagine Arisu getting discharged and he's living with his dad and brother again but he's a completely changed man. 

He goes from sleeping till 11 to not sleeping at all or on the nights he does sleep it usually ends in screams and a cold sweat with a knife under his pillow. His beds too soft now so he sleeps on the floor. He's constantly pinching himself or trying to wake up from a dream that his family don't understand. Every little detail of his life he now calculates, before it was just within his games but now its the average temperature of everyday, what kind of cars be sees from his bedroom window, when the milk expires... everything. He, seemingly overnight becomes inseparable from this girl named Usagi and his new gang are completely different from Chota and Karabe, their teamwork is seamless and they all seem to understand each other on a level that's incomprehensible. Imagine his father and brother trying to understand how a forensic scientist, a doctor, a kickass martial artistist/boutique clerk, the daughter of a famed climber, and a jobless gamer somehow new each other like the back of their hands. And everytime someone asks them about it they’re always met with the same response. “Sorry, I can’t tell you.” 

Arisu’s brother one day walks into him having a panic attack- he’s crumpled on the floor, basically unresponsive just frantically muttering to himself over and over. Your fault your fault yourfaultyourfault- they didn’t deserve to die. His brother eventually puts its together that he’s talking about the death of both Chota and Karube. His brother explains that it wasn’t his fault, and that he was lucky to survive. But I killed them. And everything is wrong because now he doesn’t have his anchors, the people who held him in place when he was at the edge- and he’s never felt so truly alone in a world where he has more people on his side then ever before. 

Imagine all the now ex-players are convinced that this is just the next level, that they're still playing some sort of game and now after so long of living in almost total freedom from social restraints are finding it difficult to just exist among unchanged people.

i hope you dont mind double asks as well because i forgot and i wanted to ask what other ships do you like that aren't very popular? ^^

i will attempt to not ramble for as long on this ask as i did on your other LMAO but i do absolutely love rarepairs so i love talking about them (also i absolutely do not mind double asks so send as many as you’d like :D)

so let’s begin with haikyuu. i gave an essay in my last ask abt how much i love oinoya so you can take that as a given. i am also a massive fan of kuroaka. i love their dynamic sm and they’re probably the haikyuu ship that i have the most ideas for fics of (tho i haven’t written any of them…) and taking that a step further, i’m the #1 bokuakakuroken shipper. i ship those four in every variety. i love all of them and im so srs. i also really like semiten which shouldn’t be as much of a rarepair as it is. i also like oiaka and konoaka. i’m a big fan of kunimi/kindaichi too which is not a rarepair, but is underrated.

i do, of course, like other more popular ships (bokuaka and iwaoi notably. those two are so special to me god i love them sm) but i’m only discussing rarepairs here.

as for other fandoms, i must mention ranaya. they are my babies i basically birthed them myself. hinaya really shouldn’t be a rarepair in the bandori fandom but it lowkey is bc of chisaya. also a big fan of kaochisaya! irouma from danganronpa is a big one im into as well as miu/maki. of course, donjaykyle from dc; i don’t understand how it’s not a more popular ship bc it’s so golden.

ginlucy from bsd!! i love gin and lucy together i think they work so well. i’m not crazy into rarepairs in the bad fandom bc i love skk so much, but i also like sigzai. taniatsu too!! crenny from south park gets so unfairly hated on when it’s such a good ship idc if u hate crenny just bc you ship creek, ur so boring. crenny is peak and im so srs about that. i absolutely love mizuan from project sekai. and another one that isn’t a rarepair, but gets crazy hated on bc there’s more popular ships for the characters is mizurui.

oh my god how could i have forgotten artemis/diana from dc. like i mean artemis of bana-mighdall and wonder woman. UGH THEYRE SO GOOD genuinely gay as hell they’re both canon bisexuals can dc just let them kiss. i have a crazy unpopular dc opinion in that i really like stephjay as well idk i love their potential.

that’s mostly what i can think of off the top of my head, but trust me, there are so many more. i love rarepairs and i’m the biggest multishipper ever; i love shipping my favourite character with every single other character. def will post about more rarepairs if i think abt some more

Alice in Borderland makes strong use of the world’s mystique to entice fans into promoting the show. In the third episode, before the horrifying 7 of hearts game starts, we are able to see the aftermath of the previous game, which offers several clues about the world. Some, like the radio and Beach, are resolved quickly. However, other clues, like the drawing Chisaya finds in a player’s pocket, take far longer to resolve. This leads to speculation online, which draws people to watch the show. Similarly, there are large amounts of foreshadowing, which also prompt online discussion. Those, along with bringing in new views, also cause people to rewatch to look for hints or foreshadowing they missed the first time, which drives up streaming rates. The use of intrigue can even be seen in the marketing. Recently, it was announced that the show would get a third series. However, rather than immediately saying it, they presented it in a riddle, drawing on the intrigue from fans.

Fans found this image translated to ALICE 3, which was the first official hint that a third season would be released. This reinvigorates fans, leading to more online discussion, which then brings in even more viewers.
