ART HISTORY SELFIE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chinese Mafia )  This Art was done by a young girl from Vancouver, Canada. Her name is Malish, she is and ilustrator and painter of fine classical art. i choose this portrait because i felt related to the person in the picture, his clothes and attitude is what got my attention. Even tho i wouldn’t change anything from the original piece because it’s well represented. i added some of my imagination to recreate as much similarities as i could possibly get, but without changing to much the essence of what the artist originally wanted it to express. In other hand while i was searching about this picture i learned about the Chinese mafia culture which lead the streets of china in the 1970 causing terror in the neighborhoods and in the society. what is the most incredible about this is that this kind of activities and movement are still found in the cities of Tokio, North Korea and the South side of China.

China 2000 Fine Art marks the 40th anniversary of the end of the Cultural Revolution with an exhibition entitled “Rejoice Over Victory.” “These paintings are more than propaganda, more than a voyeur’s look into a devastating decade for China; they are the prototypes upon which the following generations would base their perceptions of the world,” writes the gallery in an announcement. On view September 6–28 at 177 East 87th Street, #601.

is a contemporary Chinese artist who has captured the world’s imagination and adoration...the artist’s distinctive style is an incomparable synthesis of the traditional and a touch of magical realism with surrealist overtones, as if Max Ernst and Wolf Paalen met the great masters of Chinese painting...and the technique of gongbi
