Aphrodite Cabin head canons
•third to the Apollo and Hephaestus cabin, the Aphrodite cabin has more children with autism, special needs, and other mental/physical conditions.
•one of the most common conditions is Synesthesia.
•many of them don’t care to look good 24/7 and love to just be in comfy clothes (“if you act confident in what you’re wearing you’ll look good no matter what you’re actually wearing”).
•they’re good at makeup but not the way you’d think. They’re a big help during capture the flag for their excellent camouflage skills (how can someone look so much like a rock).
•many grow up to be SFX makeup artist, high end makeup artist for celebrities, fashion designers (you should see them with a pen and a time limit), therapists, social worker, lawyers, and bakers.
•they’re the main go to when a child gets to camp and is overwhelmed. They just know how to calm them down and distract them.
•despite their moms reputation, the majority of them are some of the most loyal people ever. But you will get a few who have horrible commitment issues because of their mom.
•many hate perfume but love smells. they love essential oils, candles, and incense. But due to Drew being head of the cabin they couldn’t have that (a lot of things changed when she left)
•many of them prefer savory over sweet.
•you’ll always find a handful of asexual and/or aromantic Aphrodite kids
•it’s not unusual to see a child of Aphrodite with colored hair or a tons of piercings and jewelry. They just think it’s pretty and they do what they want with it.
•Not all of them can charm speak but you can bet they know how to be a convincing liar (almost as good as most Hermès kids)
•they love to make people smile
•you can bet their main aesthetics are romantic academia or light academia. Sometimes you’ll find a few fairycore or dark academia Aphrodite kids
•they love poetry just as much as children of Apollo.
•many of them love to romanize everything about their life (no judgement here)
•they love to write letters and give them a wax seal
•Many of them are naturally great dancers (as in classic dances not the renegade “dance”)
•they just have a special way with words
•think Luna Lovegood and youll get the gist of a good majority of Aphrodite kids
•many love the moon because “it’s just so romantic”
•they’ll never shy away from a picnic or playing in a stream
•they absolutely love berries
•they love learning about different cultures and their traditions
•fencing is a sport many of them enjoy
•they’re naturally fast on their feet for some reason
•They’re really talented at art. Some of the most wonderful paintings come from children of Aphrodite
That’s all for now. These are just some of my headcanons from what I’ve researched about and just feel like would be true. Feel free to give your input 💚

My Thoughts on The Gods - Part 1
Hey guys! I wanted to start posting some of my takes on the gods in the modern day. I have a bunch stored in a Google doc and now I’m going to start sharing them here! Full disclaimer that these are my personal upg on these deities based on their traditional domains and my own intuition. I hope you enjoy them!
This one is Hermes!
Hands down, action-adventure, comedy, and fantasy are his favorite genre of movies and literature. They speak to the adventurous trickster in him.
Loves Moana, Brave, Mulan, and similar stories for their tales of courage, adventure, and growth.
He is the high a runner gets when they are on the verge of collapse and get a second wind.
He is the joyful screams of laughter from children as they run about playing tag.
His favorite HP characters are naturally the Weasley Twins, Fred and George. Their ingenuity and commitment to mischief makes them kindred spirits for the trickster god.
Often makes plenty of trips to the world of mortals in order to keep on the newest trends in science, entertainment, business, and politics. He thinks it just so fascinating how humans are constantly pushing forward, even with their occasional setbacks.
He is the surprise and delight of a language learner gradually understanding more and more in their target language.
He is the glimmer of mischievousness in a person’s eye and the crooked smirk of someone with a devious plan in mind.
Hermes is a god who loves to laugh. The world is so alive and amazing that he can’t help blazing through the sky while letting the sound resound about him as he goes about his travels.
He finds archaeology, sociology, and anthropology to be some of the most fascinating fields to enter. Sure, he is a god of communication, but he’s also a jack of all trades. Culture is what shapes language after all and how do we all tend to communicate best?
Over artisan sites (along with Hephaestus), technology (along with Hephaestus and Zeus), social media, travel agencies, exchange/study abroad programs (along with Athena and Thoth), athletic departments (along with Ares and maybe Apollo), newscasting, blogging, and prank shows.
Coffee and strawberries are definitely things he enjoys
He spends time helping the homeless and those in the streets, wanting to give them some kind of comfort during their trying times. Hermes is a trickster god after all. That doesn’t mean he’s just mischievous - it also means that he is a helper of humanity (which is why he and Prometheus share this archetype). Hestia joins him in this
Shufflemancy is a major way of communication
He remains by the side of professional drivers to ensure that they make it to their destination safely
Totally roots on students who stay up late to study and complete their work
He’s the camaraderie you feel with your coworkers in the break room
He’s the feeling of excitement felt when a package or letter arrives
He’s the spirit of late night drives with friends
He protects foster children and group homes along with Hesita, Apollo, Artemis, and Dionysus. (Just think about Hermes cabin in the PJO series)
Comedy and slice of life anime are his jam. He finds harem anime hilarious
He is the beep of a text from a loved one you haven’t talked to in awhile
He is the wind blowing through your hair
He is speed of roller coasters that fly through loops and plummet over drops
He is the joy of a child going to their first circus or carnival
He’s late night conversations when you expose more of yourself than you ever would in the light of day
He’s the whispers and giggles of shared secrets among friends
He is the adventurous spirit of a traveler who treks across countries
He the peace you have when reading a book on a subject you love
You can find him in the overhead view of the world from a plane window
You can find his knowledge contained in countless astrology books
He is the bond between friends and the love you feel for your fellow man

Have you done a Hades head cannon, if not could you please do one?😘
Whenusing their ability to talk to the dead, that is if they posses that, they don’t really think much of it, but looking back at it in retrospect they find it kind of spooky.
Sometimes they spend their time in the underworld just wandering around, because it doesn’t really affect them interms of appearance and everything. They won’t talk about it though, they don’tknow how to describe it.
They have a lot of headaches and migraines, especially after communicating with the dead. After a while they don’t mind itas much, but it could cause them insomnia.
Hades kids are generally night-owls, they feelmore productive then, but that is not necessarily the case for all of them.
Although some have the power to shadow travel, they do like to travel via vehicles and sometimes by foot too. Shadow travelingis just more useful sometimes.
The cabin is very quiet, the atmosphere is notreally welcoming. They don’t really like to spend their time in there, so theydidn’t bother to add meaningful stuff or anything of the sorts in there.
You could pretty much point a child of Hades outeven before they are claimed, that is if they are culturally informed about thehistory of gods, for the simple fact that they don’t even budge at the mentionof their supposed father.
They have a good relationship with their dad.Maybe even the best. He doesn’t really bother them in unneeded times, but stillwould help them anytime they need it. Plus they pretty much have access to anyplace in the Underworld.
Persephone hates them in a way, out of jealousyand such, but still would tolerate them for their father. She sees how much heactually cares about them.
They don’t really like swimming. But they havegood reasons. Water isn’t really their thing and Poseidon doesn’t particularlylike them that much.
They have a reputation amongst the folks fromthe other cabins, but if they weren’t that feared, in terms of personality, they could’ve gotten along with people from any cabin if they desired to. Atleast they are respected.
They aren’t really mature, but they have a veryserious façade. People, especially adults, seem to have a way better firstimpression of them, opposed to other campers.
They get bored easily, especially of places, sooften a change of scenery can lighten their mood.
They aren’t fans of common sports, but they doenjoy some of the camp activities.
Would be good in missions, but usually don’tlike going in them because they know that the Gods don’t trust them.
They really believe in the saying “an eye for aneye”, even in general situations. For example, if someone treats them in acertain way, they would try their best to do the same to them.
Won’t actively brag about their cabin, but theyare pretty proud to have Hades as a father.
They could easily befriend the children ofHephaestus, because they know the properties of every metal that they areusing, so they can offer a hand. That makes some of them get really close.
Even when they don’t dress a certain way, theyare easily spotted in a crowd for some reason.
Hey dudes! Sorry we’ve been inactive for a very long time. We were caught up in a lot of stuff and kind of forgot about this blog. This year we have some very crucial exams and so our schedule is pretty messed up or rather nonexistent.
Anyway, I hope you like these Hades’ children headcanons!!

( KIM JUNG EUN, 20, she/her) - That’s MARI CHOI, I hear that the CLAIMED DAUGHTER of APHRODITE has been here for TWO years! I also hear that they’re COURAGEOUS & RESOURCEFUL, but that they’re also TWO FACED & BITTER!
Theme song: Seashore - the Regrettes [ playlist ] Zodiac: Capricorn [ dec 30 ]
bio, hcs, powers, etc under the cut
- Mari has its origins from the ancient Korean language. It's original meaning is "mountaintop" but it also means "good, the best, the first, etc"
[ PINTEREST ]
BIOGRAPHY
‘You look like your mother. If only you actually were her.’ Those were the last words her father said to Mari before she stormed out of their penthouse in the middle of New York City, about two years ago now.
Mari Elle Choi is the daughter of a rich Korean diplomat who worked for the Korean embassy in the US. Their home base was mainly in New York, but he traveled a lot, taking his home schooled daughter and her nanny/tutor with him. Before she came to camp, Mari had no actual place to call home, since New York didn’t seem much like home either. Paris, Los Angeles, Washington, Seoul, Amsterdam, New York, Beijing; every city she ever went to was just a passing acquaintance. The only two constants in her life were her father and her tutor, who was like a mother to her. Or at least more of a parental figure than her father ever was. Mari was a footnote in his life. Aphrodite had been the peak of his love life. She’d left him broken and with a child he didn’t want. After her, he’d searched for the goddess in every women he had an affair with, which were a lot. He didn’t spend much time with his daughter, Eventually even Mari’s tutor, probably the only person she was actually attached to and who had ever shown her genuine love and who she dared to love because she trusted the woman wouldn’t leave. That changed of course when her relationship with Elle’s father went south and so at 18, Mari lost the only real constant in her life.
All of this piled up made her lose trust in people. They always leave in the end right? The evening her father kicked Mari’s tutor out of their lives, they’d just come back from some fancy event that had to do with her father’s job. Mari’s father travelled a lot between Asia and America, but this particular time he’d been sent to Europe for about a week. Italy to be precise. Monsters are even more of a hazard there than back in the states of course. However, back then Mari had no idea she was a demigod. She got in a fight with her father about his affair with her tutor, and as a result she stormed out of their hotel suite onto the streets of Rome. All these years she’d been protected by always being surrounded by tons of security and changing locations so often. She’d never go out on her own, always having her tutor or a bodyguard with her. Now she ventured into the winding streets of Rome, only to be met with a trio of Empousai. She narrowly escaped, using the charmspeak that she had developed as a young child in a manipulative environment. She did end up with a scar, now a long white line running from her hip to just above her knee.
She had to go to the hospital of course, to the annoyance of her father. He’d never known her mother’s true identity, only that he’d never met a women like her. Ironically he had always described her as divine or a goddess. Mari also had trouble reconciling what had happened with the reality she knew. Besides, her father had always reminded her of the importance of keeping his image intact. They were supposed to play perfect family at any events, to the point where Mari told everyone her mother had died in childbirth.
So when it came to telling people what had landed her in the hospital, she twisted it into something more easily to grasp for any normal human being, including herself. The story as she told it was that she was attacked by three random homeless girls, some sort of robbery gone wrong. However, a satyr who was disguised as a nurse at the hospital picked up on the plot holes in the story that didn’t make sense to anyone else, but where red flags to him. When Mari’s dad had left - admittedly not very long after Mari had arrived at the hospital - the satyr convinced her to come to camp, even if she was very sceptical at first. She mostly agreed because she didn’t want to stay with her dad anymore, blaming him for her tutor leaving. She told him it was some kind of boarding school and rehabilitation centre, and he agreed to let her go because well, he wouldn’t have to hire a new tutor or extra body guard in that way.
She got claimed by Aphrodite pretty much the moment she stepped into camp. Some kind of cruel irony, she had never thought much about any gods existing, let alone that she was a daughter of one of them. And then especially the goddess of love, she hated it. It only further made her believe true love is a sham. If there are love gods managing every move, plotting people’s lives? Then love surely just isn’t real. However, in the past two years she has learned that her mother stands for much more than just romantic love, and though she still doesn’t believe in love, she has become a bit softer towards other kinds of love. Her siblings, who showed her what family is supposed to be like for the first time, helped with that too. It’s still something she struggles with however, and also with the stereotypes attached to being a daughter of Aphrodite.
HEADCANONS
- Mari carries two knifes with her at all times. They’re made by the Hephaestus cabin, and she helped design them. They’re very thin and easy to hide under clothing, like the hemline of her skirts for example. If she has any more spots where she can hide weapons, she often adds a butterfly knife or other small blades. - This habit has originated from the attack that lead to her being brought to camp. She felt utterly out of control, terrified and helpless in that instant. Before that night, she’d just been a rich kid who hung out more with her father’s colleagues and bodyguards then people her own age. She’d never had to fight before. After the initial shock of arriving at camp had faded, she threw herself into a busy training schedule, and now she is very skilled at hand to hand combat. - She could be an assassin at this point, if she wanted to. She knows how to hide weapons, she knows how to use them so subtly that no one notices. She’s pretty deadly, but it’s not in her nature to actually go down that path. - Since her entire childhood was spend practically friendless, she has trouble interacting with people her age sometimes, though there are a few exceptions. Like the girl she met at a fancy event in nyc shortly before she moved to camp, who later turned out to be one of her sisters (cough amiria cough). It has also gotten better since she has arrived at camp and is surrounded by solely people under 25, instead of solely people who are 35 and older. - However, she is very well versed in pop culture, because social media. Duh. - She is fluent in English and French, and conversational in Korean, Italian, German, Chinese, Spanish and Dutch, just from overhearing it while visiting those countries so often. - Since she spend most of her life playing the role of the perfect daughter, and still has to take on that role occasionally when her dad drags her to events to keep up his image, she has learned to be very charming. This was also how she developed her charmspeak abilities from a young age. - At camp she often lets that facade drop however, and you’ll get a more straight-to-the-point version of her. - Besides being pretty badass, she’s still very feminine. She’ll kick your ass in heels and a skirt, basically. - If you wake her up too early she’ll kill you. Literally. She sleeps with a knife under her pillow after a certain instance of one of her eros cousins thinking he could bring her breakfast on her birthday. He regretted that.
POWERS
- they have magical control over clothes, makeup, and jewelry. they are able to change it's colour, shape, material, etc. the only thing they can't do is summon anything out of nowhere. - they have the ability to temporarily change their physical features. (rare) - they have the ability to speak fluent french. - they have the ability to make makeup appear on others or themselves. - they have the ability to curse people so all of their clothes are two sizes too small for them for a period of time. (saps energy) amokinesis:- they can sense when someone is in love and who they are in love with. - they can make people temporarily fall in love with them. charmspeak: (rare)- selected children of aphrodite can influence other with the strength of their voices.

What happens when the children of Greek Gods come together to create a Halloween extravaganza? Well, you can definitely expect the ‘haunted’ places to actually be haunted, the actors to actually wield real chainsaws and the monsters to be 100% real. When you have extraordinary kids quite literally related to Gods and Goddess of death, fear, panic, war, destruction, chaos and creative geniuses like the children of Hephaestus, Athena, and Hermes... You can expect one hell of a Halloween.
--- Ready for the SCARIEST night of your life ?
The Forest of Horrors
For weeks, talented, quick-working campers of various cabins have been creating a huge maze north of the Southern Woods and south of the geysers filled with horrors beyond your wildest dreams. How does it work? There’s a rickety, makeshift haunted house you must enter and surpass to get to the start of the maze. Three passageways will lead you to an enormous overgrowth of dark, ominous plants with minor monsters lurking in every corner and the occasional jump scares by the Zephyros Creek. If you survive that and find the exit, you’ll meet a sphinx. Answer her riddle correctly and you can continue to the foggy graveyard where real skeletons and ghosts will find you. ( Answer it wrong, and you might want to run. ) Furthermore, stepping in the wrong place, triggers traps to release illusions and realistic devices meant to frighten even the toughest of demigod heroes.
Should you survive what the campers are calling “The Forest of Horrors,” you’ll be surprised with, a chariot ride back to The Green and presented with the ultimate prize: a small bag of galleons, a week of chore immunity and a gift made by the Gods of fear and panic Phobos and Deimos themselves... shhh... it’s a surprise.
Halloween Celebration
Then again, campers also understand that scares and spooks might not be for everyone. For those not interested in beating The Forest of Horrors and the younger demigods, the head counselors have helped the nature spirits organize the camp’s usual celebratory feast in the dining area and even a pumpkin carving section by the canoe lake!
The Amphitheatre will be featuring camper chosen horror movies all night for those who are interested. The Green (middle of the cabin area) is being converted to a DJ dance floor with spooky music and there’s even a costume contest by the end of the night (Scariest Costume, Most Creative Costume, Favorite Costume of the Night and Best Group Costumes). The winners get bragging rights, a card for 3 free rides on the Gray Sister’s Taxi and a golden laurel wreath each. Do to popular demand, there is also a costume contest for the pets of Camp Half Blood with the same titles to win! (Whether the pet wins or not, they get yummy treats and lots of love and attention.)
Easily scared? Prefer light spooks and treats? Cozy up in The Big House for a night of fun child-friendly Halloween themed movies or stay inside the comfort of your cabins to hand out candy for the younger (and the young at heart) fellow demigods. Infirmary and helpful demigods will always be on hand for the injured or those who needs a bit of comforting after a traumatic scare. Whatever you choose to do for Halloween in Camp Half Blood, you best be ready for one hell of a night!
