An inspirational anime to feel your dreams alive again ♨_♨
LAST EXILE (fantasy/Steampunk/Adventure) 2003 - 26 episodes
Koichi Chigira
Rating 10/10
Soaring above the clouds and being the captain of your own vanship is your dream? Klaus and Lavie share this dream too! Embark on a world with an industrial atmosphere of the 1900s that will take you back to the books of Jules Vernes.
In a world where the surface peace hardly hides the war that rages between two neighboring countries, Last Exile takes you on an epic journey led by children but which cannot be called childish. In pursuit of their dream, our two heroes find themselves embroiled in a war that is beyond them. Discovering in a raw way the world of adults and their complex relationships, their childish courage will make them resistant to these foggy adventures. This anime will take you on a journey as much as it will delight you. But beware, the subjects it deals with are not the most beautiful.
Questioning what makes human beings, the cohabitation of populations, and the coherence of adults, Last Exile will make you realize the absurdity of our world by seeing Klaus and Lavie often have more sense and logic than these adults who refuse to consider them. And in the end, the ones who managed to touch the clouds and their dreams are them...
A beautiful story that encourages you not to give up on your dreams despite the difficulties, hidden behind a complex and unstable world, this is what Last Exile really is. The assimilation made between children and dreamers confronted with adults, rational people, the balance is completely reversed! Absurdity is not always on the side of those who impose it on others, and dreams are made to be lived after all... Be a child all your life, bring out your passions, and live without the scorn of others! In the end, you'll see that maybe you were right...
