He played the least amount of snaps when Al Golden was our LB coach. He also wasn’t mentioned in Golden’s first press conference the way that Logan was. I’d say he was informed he was getting cut or his agent tried to renew his deal (he’s on his last year) and they refused. Ian has literally reported this probably word for word from his agent lol (which fair enough, you can’t damage relationships with agents).

The ‘what missed tackles’ and the way he shouted at Joseph Ossai after the KC game never really sat right with me tbh. I appreciate all he’s done for us, I hope he finds somewhere new, I assume it could be with the Colts? The mention of his friendship with Lou was kinda strange unless he’s looking to reunite with him?

Agreed! The writing was definitely on the wall from Al's first press conference as DC and he went out of his way to shout out Logan while not mentioning Germaine at all...

And yeah, those are my theories too! I've been saying for awhile that it seems unlikely they bring back many of the vets on defense, and when you look at Germaine's expected salary next year (i believe around 8 million) versus his production, it just doesn't seem worth it. Especially when you consider a lot of what you bring up here! The interviews where he refuses to take any accountability, the way he's been known to snap at the younger guys when they make mistakes... (although i should be fair, he WAS voted a captain this year, so he's gotta have at least some respect in the locker room!)

(unrelated but something i've always found interesting. i really really like his and bj's dynamic. and when you think back to him snapping at ossai when he was already a mess after that afc championship loss, the one guy who WAS standing up for ossai was actually bj. that video of ossai crying during post-game interviews but bj stood by his side the whole time and helped him out. oh man. it IS gonna break my heart if/when we let bj go... and it's like wow germaine and bj approach leadership a bit differently huh!)

Also yes! Those tweets from the "insiders" like Rapoport or Pelissero etc etc are almost always hand fed to them by the agents, which is definitely something people should consider when they read those! (and in exchange the agents feed them scoops and round and round it goes!) But it does present Germaine in a very complimentary light, which honestly only benefits us if we go through with the trade (which I think the team will try to!) We want him to seem as appealing as possible so we can try to get SOMETHING back for him. I'd imagine regardless though we probably wouldn't get much more than a day three pick (somewhere in the rounds 5-7 range). But we only have 6 picks this year (as opposed to last year's 10) so like, we could use anything!!

70 dollars for a new game is crazy. literally spent 5 dollars for final fantasy 7 on steam and having just as much fun.

Listen, I like the idea of this project a lot. I think Vancouver needs more density and housing and the design seems awfully cool.

One thing I never see in these articles is that this project is going to be a disaster because of one thing: water and sewage lines.

The land this is proposed for is currently undeveloped and neighbours an older part of Vancouver - its mostly single family homes and 3 or 4 floor walkups built in the 60s.

This development project, by its nature, is going to add thousands of additional water and sewage lines. And the development plan for that is, basically "we will just plug into the existing grid."

There is NO plan - from the developers or City- to upgrade the water and sewage systems in the area. Because the Nation is "pushing ahead and asserting sovereignty" they've not only not gotten planning permission, they've not coordinated with the surrounding infrastructure at all.

The problem is adding this to the existing grid - especially at the point of connection they want - would be like trying to transfer a waterslide at full blast into a garden hose.

Because the water lines are city-maintained, and the city can't or won't upgrade it (because these aren't on City land they won't pay city taxes [and maybe can't even vote in local elections?] the city has no incentive to upgrade the systems), and the Nation doesn't care because it's under the impression this is a game of chicken and the City will blink first.

It's going to be a disaster.
