My favorite bits:

the nostalgic 80s-esque synth instrumentation

J.None's emphatic breathy ends to each line

those lovely high harmonies in the chorus

ramping up the percussion to emphasize the urgency in the lyrics

that laid-back descending riff after ♫ "falling back in love" ♫

the addition of floaty vocalizations in between the lines of the second chorus

J's vulnerable tone leading into the bridge

love a good saxaphone solo 🎷

the in-between lines becoming a full counterpoint in the final chorus

that quick, gentle fade-out ending

Trivia:

This song is track 8 on the original version of Chichon's second album "The Middle Child". It was bumped to track 11 on the expanded 2024 reissue.

J.None also recorded a second song, "Feel Alive", that didn't make the initial cut for the album. It was released as a stand-alone single a year and a half later, then finally integrated into the 2024 reissue.
