Y’all know I’m always on my FOB shit but there’s a TikTok account (NotWildlin) who has put me back on it even harder this week.
He’s talking about the bridge in Chicago is so two years ago.
You want apologies Girl you might hold your breath until your breathing stops forever (forever) The only thing you’ll get is this curse on your lips i hope they taste of me forever (forever) And there's a light on in Chicago (every pane of glass) And I know I should be home (every pane of) And all the colors of the street signs (every pane of glass) They remind me of the pick-up truck Out in front of your neighbor's
This bridge fucks so hard and I feel like it’s one of their songs that doesn’t get talked about enough. It does not get the respect that it deserves.
He also has this tiktok talking about Pete Wentz and how fucking good his lyrics are. “Pete Wentz is your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.” Idk man I just love it here. And I love this dude. Go watch him. 😌

Pastoral Landscape with Ruins
Artist: Adriaen van de Velde (Dutch, 1636–1672)
Date: 1664
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL, United States
Description
With its warm southern sunlight and leisurely interactions between herders, this painting of the Italian countryside would have affirmed urban Dutch perceptions of rural areas as places of innocence and peace. The son of a painter, Adriaen van de Velde was also inspired by the cattle pieces of Paulus Potter and the Italianate pastoral scenes of Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem. He achieved a harmonious balance of elements by studying the landscape from life as well as by sketching the cattle in the pasture and the human figures in the studio.

am i really about to hyperanalyze a joke dad fact from dndads live? yes, yes i am.
spoilers below, i suppose:
darryl’s chicago live show dad-fact: he grills and makes a MEAN chicago-style all-beef hot dog, but little does carol know, he sneaks ketchup on the inside of the bun.
now, for those of you who don’t know the history, chicago hot dogs famously do NOT have ketchup on them. lots of other things, yes, but NOT ketchup. a diehard chicagoan will get offended if you put ketchup on a chicago dog. chi-town lore says this is because in years past (the great depression specifically and especially), ketchup was used on meat to disguise bad flavor. to be specific, people would cover rotten meat with ketchup to mask the taste and make it palatable. but those vienna beef chicago dogs? no, no, those are QUALITY meat. to put ketchup on it would be a slap in the face. you’re telling the vendor you don’t trust his cooking.
so where does the darryl hyper-analysis come in? simple: wilson family self-consciousness.
darryl puts ketchup on his OWN dog? one he grilled himself?? that tells me that he doesn’t trust himself or his grilling. despite his love of cookin’ meats, he can’t fully trust himself. he still needs that extra bit of ketchup to make the hot dog palatable. darryl LOVES grilling. that, brewing, and football are like his second Holy Trinity. it’s the one thing he KNOWS he can’t mess up. it’s his specialty.
but he still puts ketchup on his dog. it’s hidden away inside the bun. he doesn’t WANT help. it’s fine, right? we’ll talk about it later, and all? but it’s there. he knows it’s there.
he knows that no matter how much bravado he displays as a father cook, he can’t trust himself or his abilities.
the extra layer of intrigue is the fact that carol doesn’t put ketchup on hers. on the surface, yes, she’s doing it according to tradition. but she also trusts darryl’s cooking more than he himself does.
food for thought (pun intended).
