I can't get over it, the undead Snow White critting and killing Rosamund and then Rosamund coming back as undead, snow's true mirror in so many ways, and killing her with a crit. The way they are both the sleeping princesses, both hidden away and told to wait for someone to save them, both with versions of their story that are awful and violent

the way that snow told her plans to Rosamund when she hadn't even told them to Elody yet, bc she thought that sleeping beauty would understand wanting to die and take the world with her. And in her last moments Rosamund saying "I expected no one more than you to want to live."

river saying “i hate you sometimes” and ten saying “i know” actually DOES make me wanna chew glass, and the hilarious thing is, i don’t think the writers actually planned the later oft repeated river doctor “i hate you/no you don’t” to be a call back to this, because all of the other attempts to create retroactive weight have been visible from space and badly done besides. but the notion of the doctor NOT knowing, because he DOESN’T know river, that she never never never hates him, that the only answer ever is “no, you don’t.” he doesn’t know her and he’s missing that understanding. she’s no one to him right now.

Rereading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell the book and it is literally victorian class dynamics that proves their undoing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I was entirely correct about Drawlight - he's described as looking like an off-brand Lord Byron which the TV version definitely isn't. They also did Flora Greysteel dirty - she's tons more sensible than they made her out to be.

The TV series also portrayed Strange as a lot better than he actually was - he's not really a wife guy. Norrell's mostly right but not quite.

Ahh, there go. Their fingers almost intertwine, then shift as if they’re going to hold hands, and then finally settle into simply being placed against each other. Even then, Crowley’s fingers are wrapped ever so slightly against Aziraphale’s hand. The way their hands slide into the final position too… it literally looks like something clicking into place.

This 1 second long scene has managed to capture my attention for all of the morning. Michael Sheen and David Tennant, your acting never fails to amaze me. Holy shit.

there's so many things in tsc that just come at you all at once, so it's hard to focus on just one thing to break down, but the most glaring thing that stood out to me is how hard it is to really put someone back together. especially someone so shattered that it's nigh impossible to glue them back and pray they don't crumble under your ministrations.

if jean is neil's foil, then jeremy is andrew's direct antithesis. whereas andrew is a steady bedrock because he's been broken too many times to know how to weather the storm, jeremy is too soft hands and an even softer soul. he cares and cares and cares. so empathetic and so gentle it almost breaks your heart. you pray for the impossibility that jeremy can survive knowing the truth because if he doesn't, then what hope does jean have? so you pray he can be steady too. that he can weather the storm as well. that he will not break when knowing that just under the surface lies shark-infested waters.

but then you remember the beginning. "even knowing everything could go completely sideways, you'd make that choice every time"

in every other universe, jean has not survived. but in every other universe, he did not have the trojans.
