Finished the first rotation weeks ago already and finally got time to post and play the game again whooop! Next week I will start with ROS challenges. Fingers crossed they will be good.. Stats of round 1 will be under the cut..
the Maora family
Moza didn’t have a really great first round. Failing her job as mayor, having a lot of failed dates and not really getting anything done didn’t put her in a great mood. Her plan is to only focus on her job next round. Well that is the plan, her next new distraction has presented itself as Xiao..
the Baker family
It was quite a busy round for this family. Lucas and Rosey immediately hit it off and soon got a baby girl named Marie. Balancing growing their garden, the new baby and their little grocery shop is tough but together they are a great team. At the end of the round they got engaged and there were some fireworks ;)
the Farmer family
Chelsy got a new haircut and some make-up because of Eden’s big transformation-plan. She had a few dates with townie Bronti but there wasn’t a really great connection. She can’t wait until the new born babies are grown up to children so she can be a teacher again. Until that time has come she is focusing on her little bookstore/library. The first book she wrote was a disaster, but she wasn’t going to give up quite that easily and directly started on her second one.
the Gold family
Eden threw a lot of parties and had some fun fiddling around with townie Gaspar. But what was supposed to be a one night stand got serious when she found out she was pregnant. They decided to move in together and raise Nora Gold together as friends. Gaspar also decided to take over upgrading the electricity network so Eden could focus on giving transformations.
Stats.
(Playable) Sims: 8 x 2 (multiplier) = 16
Townies: 8/10
Families:

every time i see a post about the statue that was pushed into the docks I have an ‘oh right that’s his name’ moment and then forget his name immediately. because the name of a slave trader and owner is not information i want stored in my head.
i do remember important names.
i remember Cherry Groce and Cynthia Jarrett and Leon Patterson and Joy Gardner and Oluwashijibomi Lapite and Brian Douglas and Alton Manning and Christopher Alder and Rocky Bennett and Roger Sylvester and Derek Bennett and Ricky Bishop and Michael Powell and Azelle Rodney and Jean Charles de Menezes and Mark Nunes and Habib Ullah and Sean Rigg and Seni Lewis and Jimmy Mubenga and Smiley Culture and Kingsley Burrell and Demetre Fraser and Mark Duggan and Jacob Michael and Anthony Grainger and Julian Cole and Leon Briggs and Faruk Ali and Aston McLean and Adrian Thompson and Adrian McDonald and Sheku Bayoh and Daniel Adewole and Jermaine Baker and Sarah Reed and Mzee Mohammed Daley and Edson da Costa and Shane Bryant and Darren Cumberbatch and Rashan Charles and Nuno Cardoso and Kevin Clarke and Trevor Smith and Belly Mujinga and Abigaïl Bennett. i remember the names of British POC, ESPECIALLY BLACK PEOPLE, who were killed by a corrupt and racist system.
i remember Mary Seacole and Nanny of the Maroons and Mary Eliza Mahoney and Toussaint Louverture and Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr and Kofoworola Abeni Pratt. i remember the names of people who were wronged, whose legacies are an important part of Black history and global history.
i remember Dr Shirley Jackson and Madam CJ Walker and Lyda D Newman and Marie Van Brittan Brown and Valerie Thomas and Christina Jenkins and Theora Stephens and Lisa Gelobteran and Sarah Boone. i remember the names of Black women whose inventions are an essential part of our lives today, whose names are swept under the rug and hidden by the names of their white male counterparts.
i remember Jupiter Hammon and Wentworth Cheswell and Phillis Wheatley and James Derham and Thomas L Jennings and Alexander Twilight and Macon Allen and Joseph Jenkins Roberts and Charles L Reason and Sarah Jane Woodson Early and Mary Jane Patterson and Dr Rebecca Davis Lee Crumpler and John Willis Menard and Thomas Mundy Peterson and Richard Theodore Greener and Frederick Douglass and Judy W Reed and John R Lynch and Booker T Washington and Butler R Wilson and Lucy Diggs Slowe and Bessie Coleman and Josephine Baker and William Grant Still and James W Ford and William H Hastie and Crystal Bird Fauset and Hattie McDaniel and Bob Howard and Amanda Randolph and Florence LeSueur and Juanita Hall and Ralphe Bunche and Cora Brown and Dorothy Dandridge and Arthur Mitchell and Ruth Carol Taylor and Ruby Bridges and Donyale Luna and Robert Henry Lawrence Jr and Cheryl Browne and Vinnette Justine Carroll and Alan Bell and Teddy Seymour and Barack Obama and Rita Dove and Darnell Martin and Chelsi Smith and Franklin Raines and Venus Williams and Halle Berry and Sophia Danenberg and Karen Bass and Anette Gordon-Reed and Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald and Ruth E Carter and so many more. i remember the names of all the Black firsts who are forgotten, whose accomplishments are ignored.
don’t waste brain space on racists. learn from their mistakes, yes. but learn about the Black people they tried to silence for so long. because i can’t think of a better way to spite racists than by remembering the people they tried to make us forget.

have you found the letters i sent?
some things of earth get weathered & worn in time, yet i have sought to conserve the heart of these words
(what do you see written in the Trees?)
news of an ancient find returned to Israel
in the reading of the Old Testament we see Israel spiritually “betrothed” to God, and then divorced because of their unfaithfulness
but there is (A new covenant of grace) unveiled in the Son as A new marriage proposal to bring Together both Jews and Gentiles as “One” Israel in A grand end of time
(interconnected to the same living Vine)
the Son as the eternal King is A new Adam (and Lord and Messiah, the Word of God, King of all earthly kings & queens) seeking A pure Bride in the Church as His Body (A beautiful mystery of A new Eve as Queen)
and this is why we also hold to the sacred truth of marriage being a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman when they are faithful to each other
the world wants to define marriage otherwise but it simply cannot be changed from our Creator’s design of humans made as male and female (of which it is impossible to change anyone’s birth gender) and our sexuality, seeing that virginity is pure and the “marriage bed” is pure when shared with respect and trust. having sex with someone outside of marriage becomes unclean, yet there is still grace available to cleanse
the Body (as the Temple of the Spirit) is not following the ways of the secular world where people live however they choose to live since we see illuminated in the Scriptures the path to our True identity as daughters and sons of our heavenly Father which guides our behavior in Love and illuminates the significance of marriage and sexuality as a mirroring of the eternal tapestry
(do you see how words are used as a written proposal conserved through time?)
unearthing more ancient things:
youtube
An extraordinary discovery was unearthed in Jerusalem: an assemblage of ivory plaques from the First Temple period, among the few found anywhere in the world, and the first of their kind to be found in Jerusalem. They came to light in the excavations of the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University at the Givati Parking Lot in the City of David in the Jerusalem Walls National Park; the excavations are funded by the City of David Foundation.
The ivories, considered one of the costliest raw materials in the ancient world – even more than gold – were found among the ruins of a palatial building in use when Jerusalem was at the height of its power (the eighth and seventh centuries BCE). Scholars believe that the decorated ivories were inlaid in wooden furnishings that were used by the residents of the building – people of means, influence and power, possibly high government officials or priests.
why do people have to grow old or deal with disease and die?
we must find life in the eternal first in the heart before seeing it beyond the constraints of time.
A post shared by a guy (along with his wife) who i briefly crossed paths with in Redding, California back in ‘11
[The Music Connection - Redding]
Dear Friends of Bernie Baker,
We are heartbroken to say the Bernie's health is in decline. We are so grateful for his decades of friendship, integrity, warmth and kindness. If you would like to write him a note or card, he would certainly love to hear from you.
-The Music Connection
[Chelsie Miller]
Our family wanted to share some news. Bernie Baker, our Dad and my mothers Husband, has lung cancer that has metastasized into his brain in the form of multiple tumors. He isn't in any pain, but is experiencing some rapid cognitive decline. At this point we are wanting to support his decision to stop medication and not do radiation. He would like to enjoy what little time he has without the distractions.
We know he is very loved and supported by our amazing community and his love and support spreads even further within the musical community. He has made it clear that he wants it known that he has loved serving this community since 1973, and encouraging and cultivating the talents of musicians over the many years.
Our family has been touched by the generations of stories that go along with interactions with Dad. We love to hear that your daughter's first fiddle was purchased at the shop, or that you loved that advice he gave you on strings, or that your son took his first guitar lesson at the shop. These are the impactful things we love hearing you share.
If you would like to leave dad a note, or a card please drop it off at the Music Connection, my sister and I will be working on regularly stopping by to collect these to bring to Dad.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing our father to find his calling and lead such an amazing and fulfilling life full of music and love.
If you know of someone that would benefit from knowing this information please feel free to share.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are married: Here is everything you need to know
yahoo
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are married! On Saturday, the pair became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they exchanged vows at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Who was there?
The 600 guests arrived between 4:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. ET (9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. BST). Celebrity guests included George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey, Idris Elba, Elton John, Victoria and David Beckham, and the cast of Suits.

Fergie showed up.
Despite rumors that she hadn’t scored an invitation, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, attended the nuptials. The former wife of the groom’s uncle Prince Andrew was not invited to Kate Middleton and Prince William’s 2011 wedding.

As were Fergie’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
They both made surprising style choices.

And two of Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriends, Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas, were invited as well.

But all eyes were on the royal family.
Prince Harry and his brother and best man, Prince William, were among the first members of the royal family to enter the chapel. They were followed by cousins, including Zara Tindall, and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip (who walked without assistance after recently having undergone hip surgery).
yahoo
The Duchess of Cambridge rode to the ceremony with the wedding party.
With Prince George and Princess Charlotte serving as pageboy and bridesmaid, the Duchess of Cambridge went along for the ride to the ceremony. She is wearing what Kensington Palace called “a primrose yellow wool silk tailored coat” by Alexander McQueen with a hat designed by Philip Treacy and shoes by Jimmy Choo.

Viewers got a first look at Markle’s gown when she exited the Rolls-Royce she traveled in from the Cliveden House hotel to the chapel with her mother, Doria Ragland.

The dress, designed by Givenchy’s first female artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, ‘epitomizes timeless minimal elegance.’
According to Kensington Palace, “the pure lines of the dress are achieved using six meticulously placed seams. The focus of the dress is the graphic open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises the slender sculpted waist.”

The veil features embroidered flowers from all 53 countries of the British Commonwealth.
On the embroidered trim of the wedding veil, Markle also included wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox), which can be found at Kensington Palace, and the California poppy (Eschscholzia californica), which is the state flower of California, to honor her birthplace.
Meghan Markle wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau Tiara.
The piece is on loan from Queen Elizabeth. Markle also accessorized with earrings and a bracelet from Cartier.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s hairstylist did her hair.
Serge Normant styled her hair in a low bun. Daniel Martin did her makeup.
Prince Charles walked Meghan Markle down the aisle.
But only halfway — she made a statement by choosing not to be “given away” but to do it herself.
yahoo
Prince Harry was beaming when he saw his bride for the first time.
“You look amazing. I’m so lucky,” he said to Markle after he lifted her veil when they first met up at the altar.
American Bishop Michael Curry stole the show.
The Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry, the 27th presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, traveled from Chicago to speak during the ceremony. “We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world,” the bishop said. “Love is the only way. There’s power in love. Don’t underestimate it. Don’t even oversentimentalize it. There’s power, power in love.”
yahoo
A gospel choir sang ‘Stand by Me.’
Karen Gibson and the Kingdom Choir, a London-based gospel choir, performed the song as the couple sat holding hands and watching.
yahoo
The royal couple had their first kiss outside, on the steps of St. George’s Chapel.
They kissed right in front of the floral arch that was decorated with white roses to honor Princess Diana.
yahoo
Princess Charlotte waved to the crowd.
As the newlyweds made their way to the horse-drawn carriage, members of the royal family stayed at the top of the stairs. All eyes were on Princess Charlotte as she waved to onlookers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex make their public debut!
Now officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple traveled in a carriage through Windsor for 25 minutes before heading into the lunchtime reception.

The Duchess of Sussex changed into a Stella McCartney gown.

She has on Aquazurra high heels made in silky satin with the soles painted baby blue. Her hair was done in a low bun with loose waves and tendrils framing her face by George Northwood.

Everyone has gone downtown like early-from-bed Earl during those early days when green cuisine was oven hot fresh. You can check out lots of blogs and reviews out there declaring the best non-meaty dishes you can try out at places. Nonetheless, there’s always remaining a sense of reliability, from place to place where you can have an overall juicy veggie experience with the best of tours and trips of a lifetime.
Henceforth, we have picked up the top ten best destinations having the best fascinating places and food parcels you can brag about all day long. Moreover, we have made our list comprising continental countries you can travel around the globe together with your family, friends, and globe-trotters.
Turkey (Tater Tomato tasters apart from Turkish Delights)
Turkey is an outstanding destination happening these days, especially when there’s a current currency crisis happening around its borders. Thus, making it more affordable for travel newbies as well as for habitual tourists traveling around the world. The land of Turkey is a beautiful holiday dwelling, grabbing gorgeous terrain excerpts from both Asia and Europe together with its deep country traditions. Will keep illustrations purely non-meaty yet beef baked sounding.
As for the popular street foods, you can try Simit, Balık-Ekmek, Dürüm, Lahmacun, Stuffed mussels, Kokoretsi, to mention a few. For deliciously mouth-hiving in succulent sweets of the grandiose land of spirit arts and architecture, you can drench your tongues with delicious deposits of Baklava, Turkish Delights, Kanafeh, Kadaif, Firinda Sutlac, Tavuk Gogsu, Asure, etc. Pleasantly edible for both veggie savorers and meat-goers.
Of course, you’ll be requesting for the main courses in the aromatic ambience enclosed restaurants of Erdoğan’s beloved nation. Main dishes are usually meat tempted, but veggies are still presentably handpicked with Middle-Eastern roots restored with Turkish people’s all-time favorite.
Best Turkish vegan food includes Menemen (Turkish Omelet), Cig Kofte (Riced Meatballs), Sigara Borek, Coban Salatasi (Shepherd’s Salad), Gözleme, Kumpir (Potato’s specialty), Patlıcan Ezmesi, Zeytinyagli Dolma (stuffed leaved in olive), and the Nohut (Chickpeas) soupy bowl. However, minced meat suggestions for greener palates are made as an afterthought and for those who love meat to gut-keeping extents. So, these are the best herbal tastes you’re getting from the land of mesmerized Mosques and past-mystic museums.
Italy (For Veg Pizza Pies & Mario Veggie Appetizers)
Forza cheese pancakes and football “Gooooaaaaal”, this is what you’re going to hear in a café residing besides a street drenched with lush thick tree branches, consuming sunrays before they could hit the grounds. Italy is a second to none destination that recognized cheese as their national food served with other chief on-plate constituents.
The Italian Pizzazz (Pizza/Pit’za) is so much loyally delicious not only for the local people, but folks from around the world are fans of one of the most popular fast food cuisine ever. Beefed up in so much approval from all, veggie pancakes is a real thing to enjoy for vegetarians who die for the last slice.
Popular vegetable pizzas you can try: the conventional Veggie Pizza (consists of Olives, onions, capsicum peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, etc.), Whole Wheat veggie pizza, grilled eggplant cheese pizza, grilled flatbread veggie pizza, tomato-onion phyllo pizza, Spinach stuffed pizza, to mention a few.
The popular veggie bistro dishes you can try at Italy – Panzanella, Mushroom Risotto, Caprese Salad with Pesto Sauce, Four Cheese Pasta, Lasagne, Corn Cannelloni, Caprese Salad, Zucchini stuffed with Ricotta, Green Beans with lemon and capers, Pecorino Flans with tomato sauce, roasted artichokes, stuffed tomatoes, and many more you can try at your own tantalizing risks (overwhelmingly appetizing).
Pakistan (Sub-continental Greens & Lentils)
One of the most underrated places for travelers to try on the best vegetables dishes subjected to fresh farm herbs. The south-east Asian people relish on cooked food served with savory traditional spices and customary household ingredients.
The populace from this region believes in having tasteful suggestions rather than over-the-top festooning their palates (a single piece sprinkled with curd and chutney) is a no-no deal for them. Likewise, people in these territories are from a course-to-the-knees background. So, it really makes sense that this place is only meant for tourists ready to embark some rough-and-tough journeying junctures on their very own expenses.
You can delight on Sarso ka Saagh, Daal Makhni, Mix Sabzi (Aalo Gajjar Meithi), Veggie Haleem (mixed lentils without using meat), Taahiri (Aalo, chouley chawal with spices), Daal chawal, Daal roti, to name a few.
Surprisingly, tourists will not only enjoy some oozing savor smolders from dishes in Pakistan, but the heartwarming receptive nature of the people of the green peaceful country will win your hearts. You can check out the bakery relishes like veggie sandwiches, dried fruit & nuts indulged milk bottles, and what not. Honestly speaking, there are franchise running Sweets & bakers in Pakistan that offer conventional non-meat edibles (most appetizers, desserts, and baked items) you can eat without roaming too deep in countryside territories.
You cannot ignore the Dhabbas aka Quetta Chai Hotels getting widespread around the whole country offering great ready-to-eat instant serves like chai paratha, choley, anda gotaala, anda paratha, halwa poori, etc. End result, Pakistan is yet to be discovered by a foreign brave soul to tell the rest of the world what lies within this food loving nation. Pakistan Zindabad!
Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore (Trio Asian Revitalizing Greens)

But Malaysia, springs in all spectacles and showcases spectrums of many Asian countries under its belt. Apart from these main constituents, elements of stunning on-peak skylines, mesmerizing islands, dwelling streets with lost-found artifacts and ancestral preserved food relishes, famous street vendors, etc.
Asian nations combined for a grain-vegan wholesome fully Asian eatery experience, you can try out these Malaysian’s food finesses – Noodles with Tofu, Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice), Oseng-Oseng Wortel (Stir Fried Carrots), Asinan (Sweet And Sour Cucumber Salad), Crispy Fried Tempe (Keripik Tempe), Sweet Eggplant Stew< (Semur Terong), Fresh Salad With Peanut Sauce (Keredok), and White Curry Jackfruit (Gudeg Putih). Besides, there are a lot more edibles you can try out in Malaysia that embraces vegetables with various flavorsome extents.

You will not find a single person in regions of Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria to the stretches of Palestine, Iraq, and Turkey, not found of food. Everyone has already prepared their very special ‘household dish” for guests entering their family residential premises.
Some famous vegetal vivacities of the land of Kebabs consists of Kibbeh (overlook the minced meat and enjoy veggie delicacies), Rice Pilaf, body-curative Hummus, Fattoush, Tabbouleh, Manakish, and much more that would take hours for your taste-buds to relish on.

Shinn
You know how sometimes a story touches your heart so completely that you can’t believe the rest of the world isn’t aware of it? I own a trilogy by Sharon Shinn that falls into this category.
It started in high school, when my best friend Chelsie gave me a book called The Truth-Teller’s Tale. It’s the second book in a trilogy that includes The Safe-Keeper’s Secret, The Truth-Teller’s Tale, and The Dream-Maker’s Magic. The three books are connected, but you can easily read one without having read the others.
I read The Truth-Teller’s Tale and it quickly became one of my very favorite books. In fact, the book nearly made it onto my Top 10 list. I loved it so much that I didn’t want to read anything else by Sharon Shinn, because how could anything else possibly measure up?
Chelsie pointed out that I was taking a ridiculous approach to the written word, and of course she was right, so six or seven years after I first read The Truth-Teller’s Tale, I read the other two books...and loved them just as much.
This will be a long post because the books have a special place in my heart, but before I tell you why, let me explain a fundamental aspect of the three plots.
The stories are set in a town not unlike towns from our history. There are innkeepers, cobblers, seamstresses, merchants, sailors, kings and queens, bakers, one-room schoolhouses...you get the idea. It’s a perfectly common setting.
However, there’s just one fantasy element to this story. You see, in this world, there are three kinds of people who are extraordinary. There are Safe-Keepers, who are completely trustworthy. Many people seek out the Safe-Keepers so they can get something off their chest, or ask for advice. Safe-Keepers are well-liked among the people, but they bear a terrible burden. They have to carry everyone else’s secrets, and no matter how terrible a secret is, they cannot reveal anything until the secret is ready to not be a secret anymore. Their lives are tough, but they are gentle people.
Then there are Truth-Tellers, who are exactly what they sound like. They cannot lie. People go to Truth-Tellers when they want to know if their spouse is cheating on them, or if their neighbor really did steal that sheep, or if the shopkeeper is scamming his customers. Truth-Tellers always know a truth, and they do not hesitate to voice it. People tend to avoid them unless they need something, because there’s nothing like running into a Truth-Teller by accident and then having a truth about yourself revealed that you really would’ve rather kept quiet.
There can be any number of Safe-Keepers and Truth-Tellers, but there is only one Dream-Maker. The Dream-Maker has the power to make dreams come true, though not by choosing to do so. She may walk through a town and find out later that a blind man woke up with his sight back, or that a plague that was hurting the townspeople suddenly faded after she came through. Everyone wants something from the Dream-Maker, and since there is only one, her life is generally exhausting.
It is important for you to know about those three types of people before I launch into the stories themselves.
All three of the stories have wonderful characters. They have beautiful plots and fantastic settings and happy endings. Each of them has a characteristic that I adore. The Safe-Keeper’s Secret tells a story of perfectly ordinary people, and that’s tough to do. Not just any writer could take a perfectly normal person and create a lovely story out of their life. The Truth-Teller’s Tale, which remains my favorite, I think, is about twin sisters...one of whom is a Safe-Keeper, and the other twin is a Truth-Teller. This story is about sisters, and since I have two sisters who I love very much, this book always speaks to me. And The Dream-Maker’s Magic, which is close to being the best in my estimation, is about a boy who becomes the Dream-Maker. But he’s not just any boy. He’s crippled. Just as no ordinary writer could make a story about a normal person, so no ordinary writer could make a hero out of a disabled boy, yet Shinn manages to do them both. I have huge respect for her.
But the real reason I love them so much is because Sharon Shinn weaves magic with her words, and that’s what brings the stories to life.
I actually marked about 8 quotes from the books that I wanted to share with you, but I’ll reign myself in. Here are a few examples from Shinn’s exquisite writing, so you can see why I am so in love with these books.
Some of her simplest lines are profound.
“There is really nothing like having your mother nearby when you’re sick to make you feel as if the world is not quite such a miserable place.”
and
Chase shrugged. “Kindness is a form of magic,” he said, “so everyone should be capable of at least a little.”
How true!
I’ve decided to only share two actual passages of the book with you. The first is from The Truth-Teller’s Tale, (***spoiler alert!***) when one twin finds out that her sister is in love with their friend, Micah. She can’t understand why--Micah is so boring, what could her sister ever possibly see in him? She wonders this for a good portion of the book, and then comes the moment when she understands (though she does not fall in love with him herself, for the record):
“What a good man he must have been all this time, though I had never known it, if the two people I loved best in the world had been made so happy by his return. I found myself studying his face and finding in it all sorts of virtues I had never realized he possessed--strength of will, and courage, and kindness. It was the face of a decent man, I realized, one who could be trusted never to fail you. His face was lovable, even if it would never be handsome. And then he looked at my sister, and his face changed, and I realized I had been wrong again. At that moment, he was beautiful.”
This second portion is from The Dream-Maker’s Magic, and it’s a lovely passage about the crippled boy, told by his best friend. I think it’s so eloquent and wise, and I return to it again and again:
“The incident reminded me of how fragile Gryffin could be--something, oddly enough, I had forgotten as soon as we became friends. His mind was so lively, his conversation so informed, that he had a palpable presence; his personality always struck me with an almost physical force. It was true he couldn’t walk or run or play like other boys, but I never thought about that when I was with him. With Gryffin, it was so easy to overlook what he couldn’t do--or, at least, it was easy for me. I suppose other people saw him as broken and a little sad. I saw him as astonishing.”
I’ve never read anything else by Sharon Shinn, and I’m not sure I ever will. I want to, I think--I know other books may not measure up to these three, but as Chelsie pointed out so long ago, it’s foolish not to give them a chance. I’m a writer, after all. This is in my blood, and it would be ridiculous to deny it. If I stumble across another Shinn story in the future, I promise I’ll pick it up!
For now, these three books stay, and I reckon they always will!
