"Coryo only likes Lucy Gray because she's hot" WRONG. Coryo liked Lucy Gray because she is a free bird. He's never been more electrified than for the rainbow-skirted girl from twelve who made sure she went out to her execution with a bang, who took his rose and could recognize his ruse from a mile away because she saw no need to restrain herself. Coryo, who had been restrained his whole life, fell in love with freedom.

If I see anyone, and I mean anyone, talk shit about tubbos rp abilities or spam -rp in his chat after he immediately dropped everything after seeing dapper downed in chat and then spending literal hours lookin for him even when other people weren’t really caring to look I will commit unspeakable acts that you can’t even envision with the human mind

I know I've been on about this for a while now and I'm being a hater but you're telling me SydCarmy was "always meant to be platonic" even though there are two seasons of writing making use of tried-and-true explicitly romantic tropes, themes and writing signals, and SydLuca is going to be romantic because...he was nice to her on screen for a few minutes?
I don't even care if people ship SydLuca, or if they just prefer it, but you can't honestly tell me that you believe Carmy was always meant to be a friend but Luca is an obvious love interest.
Just because Syd and Carmy haven't kissed or confessed their love to each other doesn't mean that isn't very obviously the direction this show is going. The Bear has already shown you who is endgame. It has shown you every episode of the show so far.
Honestly I really don't think The Bear fanbase understands this show or cares about these characters or the story being told here, which is unfortunate because this show is shockingly well-written in comparison to most shows right now, and we should be so grateful for it but all we're doing is complaining that the writers led us on by not making a ship canon fast enough. It's just. Sad.

one thing i really like is how they obviously went out of their way to match asahi's speech patterns with his and yotsuyu's father. the guy is a minor NPC who barely has any lines, and yet despite him being an old man who doesn't particularly look like asahi he uses the exact same inflections and tone of voice. you've already been listening to asahi being a creep this whole time, and then suddenly if you're paying attention it becomes so clear where he got it from. he really does just sound exactly like his dad.
(and it makes absolutely everything about the situation that much more skin-crawling, considering what their father is actually saying in the scene where that stands out the most.)
again, minor NPC with very little screentime; it would have been easy for them to just give him A Voice and be done with it, and instead they took the opportunity to imply volumes about asahi and his dynamic with his family in such an effective, understated way. anyway the naeuri siblings are ruining my life

Hollow Knight is great
but do you know what would make it even better?
fishing. fishing makes every game better and you can fight me to the death on this.
when Quirrel dies, he shows you a fishing rod that he found near the Blue Lake and, after leaving the room and coming back in again, you can find the fishing rod on the ground and pick it up.
then, you get to re-explore the entire map, looking for fishing spots and when you catch fish, you log them in a fisherman's journal. and if you visit the Hunter, he gets really jealous that you now have another journal. like, c'mon man, how could u betray him like this?
so then after you catch all the fish, you get a special boss which would either be an actual fight with the Hunter instead of the fake out you get when you finish the journal and/or a fight with a MASSIVE fish from the Blue Lake or a fight with Unn or something
also maybe you could give some NPCs fish and they have cool flavour text about it. like, if you catch a fish in the Royal Waterways sewer water and you give it to Elderbug, he's just like "ew, i knew that city was horrible if they have fish like this." Or, you go visit Sheo and the Nailsmith and you guys have a little thing where you cook the fish together and it's really sweet, maybe with just a full on side quest of collecting ingredients from them. also, maybe there's some grubs who are scared of the Ghost but there's one fish they really like so the only way that it can convince them to go back to Grubfather is with a certain kind of fish.
idk man i just really like fishing in video games
