Hi could I get some cheetara x reader childhood rivals in the clerics to lovers headcanons if you’re still doing requests???
OOh?
Tumblr media
You two were always set up against each other
Anything one did, the other also had to do and they had to do it better
It was a fucked up system that emotional destroyed both of you well into your teen years
You were more popular among your peers than she was, so you always had that over her head; Though, she had connections to the royals where you did not (or at least not to the same extent as she did)
When Grune kills Claudus, you end up joining Lion-o and the rest of them to fight evil
Cheetara is also with you, so you two have to find a way to get along
For a while, you two fight and throw snappy remarks at each other
It gets annoying for the rest of the group real fast
Always trying to see who’s better at every little task
Though, when you both work together, you’re literally unstoppable
You don’t know when your dynamic changed, because it was probably an over time thing
You slowly became friends and started helping each other
You two would tag team the others if they messed up
You both are ruthless
The group is glad you two are finally getting along but they hate that now THEYRE the ones being attacked
Instead of going at each other, you go after your friends (Not in a mean way, more judge mental)
Whatever, as long as you two aren’t fighting
She’s very with your wounds
You’re more affectionate and loving than her
She’s kind of.. Well emotional stunted? Didn’t get enough affection as a child while you got it from peers
You two just do so much better when you get along than when you’re enemies

10 Most Inappropriate Comics Storylines Of All Time
[warning: video discusses sexual assault, rape, domestic abuse, drug addiction, incest, and blackface]
Any time spent on comic book forums or communities will oft bring up the discussion of “the worst comic book storylines of all time (of all time), and largely within the circle of “the big two” (Marvel and DC Comics). Much like the video game industry, the comic book industry wants to be “taken seriously” and seen as a “legitimate art form”. So, it’s writers (most of them men, and a lot of them not Black creatives, a lot of them not women) decide to write about issues they neither have not understanding of or simply don’t care to understand. The end result is typically horrid storylines that get lambasted or quietly swept under the rug.
10. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch’s incestuous relationship (0:36 - 1:18) Ultimate Marvel’s trend or want to push disturbing relationships seemed paramount in their Ultimate X-Men title. If it wasn’t Wolverine’s dubious relationships with a young Jean Grey and Ororo Munroe, it was the incestuous relationship between Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (the Maximoff twins) - who may have been the children of Wolverine (who was also the Cable of UM ‘verse). I don’t remember this relationship, I’m rather upset I had to reminded of it, so I can only assume I intentionally erased it from my memory.
9. Hank Pym's (Ant Man) pension for violence toward Janet van Dyne (Wasp) - (1:18 - 1:49). In a 1981 story arc written by Jim Shooter, the seemingly always-dead Janet van Dyne, was a frequently attacked by her husband Hank Pym. Shooter reported blamed artist Bob Hall for making a “harmless shove” look like a deliberate attack against Wasp. At the time, the consequences of their combined actions seemed to leave Dyne in the mercy of writers who couldn’t progress the character past a ill-planned story arc. No one seemed capable of viewing her beyond the frame Hall and Shooter left her, or at the very least, handle the issue of domestic abuse with any kind of respect to their readers, esp. the ones who’ve experienced it. It kinda sucks when you known primarily as that one character who is constantly harmed by your husband.
8. Cheetara Tigra and the issue of abortion (1:50 - 2:38). When a Skrull sleeps with Tigra under dubious circumstances --- the Skrull takes the form of Hank Pym (meaning, unless Tigra was aware of the Skrull’s identity, Tigra was raped). When she discovers she’s pregnant, she goes back-and-forth on whether or not she should keep it, but eventually decides to keep the child.
7. Aunt May is actually Peter Parker’s mother (2:39 - 3:16). If you ever needed to know why Mark Millar is considered a terrible storyteller, this is just one example. A convoluted story that doesn’t so much add, as it does take away from a long established paternal relationship between two of Marvel most well known characters.
6. Lois Lane Blackface’s for a Day (3:16 - 4:09). One way that really illustrates how white people only see the Black Experience (particularly how Black people experience anti-Black racism) as something that goes no further than the color of our skin is often demonstrated in comic books and genre television. Comic books in the 60s and 70s were big on attempting to tackle issues of racism as it affected Black Americans. DC Comics in particular attempted to cover the issue with titles such as Green Lantern, and a Superman offshoot, Superman’s Girlfriend, Lois Lane. In a story that feels like it was the result of marathoning Black Like Me (Blackface the movie), “I Am Curious (Black)” has Lois don magical Blackface to get the True African-American Experience(TM). The story ends with her posing the question of whether or not Superman would marry a Black Woman (i.e., her pretending to Black for a day), and the answer is more or less no. It’s an offensive mess and I am baffled by the people who (still) think this was a groundbreaking story because “they had the best intentions”.
5. Marvel Comics Swimsuit Special Issues (4:19 - 4:39). The effectively, its’s a giant comic spread full of cheesecake and beefcake for adolescent boys and adult men, with the chance that maybe girls and women may also find some kind of gratification out of it.
4. Spider-Man’s cancerous semen (4:40 - 4:51). The only accounts of this story I ever really heard about this was Super Best Friends (Matt and Pat), who routinely made passive-aggressive references to the fact that Peter Parker’s semen kills Mary Jane. Knowing that it’s not a joke, that someone actually allowed this to go to print, might be one of the more unsettling realities.
3. The Punishment for Betrayal is Rape as Shock Value (4:52 -5:24). Besides Watchmen, Alan Moore’s The League of Extraordinary Gentleman is not a comic I was ever interested in reading, so I didn’t read it. Knowing he penned a story wherein one of the League members rapes another because he betrayed them honestly says a lot about Alan Moore as a person.
2. Felicia Hardy’s anti-hero origin story involves rape (5:25 - 6:04). I remember being enamored with Terry Dodson’s artwork for Kevin Smith’s Spider-Man and Black Cat story arc, “The Evil That Men Do”. It was shiny, flashy and it might’ve been my favorite take on Black Cat and Spider-Man’s character designs. I never got to read it, so imagine my surprise when I started looking things up for it near the end of High School and learning that, not only did the story take a nosedive, Smith decided Black Cat’s anti-hero origin story required sexual assault.
1. Lian Harper’s father attacks Justice League (6:05-6:56). I don’t know much know about Roy Harper, so much as know about his daughter, a character notable for being killed off just give her dad the case of the blues. To that end, I’m not exactly surprised that they would exploit her death to come up with a ridiculous story wherein he’s fooled into think the body of a dead cat is her corpse and is somehow or another driven to attack the Justice League members until Batman knocks him out.

Mumble & Mock
Summary: You [A human] love to mumble and mock people [usually the gang] under your breath, not realizing that they have incredible hearing [I got an inbox that offhandly mentioned Lion-o have incredible hearing & it gave me this idea. Forgot they were cats & cats have great hearing]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The topic of hearing abilities had never came up, so there was never any talk of who could hear what and such. There was just a misconception that you all heard at the same frequency. You were, surprisingly, never aware that they could hear much farther and quieter things than you.
---
"I don't know what that means... Like what?" You shrug.
Panthro looked up at you, dumbfounded, "You're still talking about that? It happened weeks ago."
"So?" You roll your eyes, turning away from him before mumbling about how didn't understand.
"You know I can hear you right?"
"Whatever. I'm going to go bother Lion-o."
At the mention of your voice saying his name, Lion-o's ears perked up and looked around for you, but he didn't see you. He was sure he had heard you, but were where you? He heard something walking towards him and he was sure it was you.
He quickly stood up, instinctively putting his sword behind him before you showed up behind some trees. You froze when seeing him stare at you. You then looked to the side, just to make sure he was looking at you and not someone else.
"hI," He awkwardly waves and you give him a confused look.
"Were you waiting for me? Am I predictable?"
"I heard you-"
"You heard me? How?"
Now it was his turn to give you a confused look, "What?" He chuckles, "What do you mean how?"
"What did you hear?"
"I heard you talking to Panthro. You said you were going to come bother me-"
"How did you hear that?" You cocked your head to the side, still confused.
"I don't know? I just did."
"Hmm... Okay, so what are you doing?"
---
Ever since the incident, you slowly became more conscious about how well they all could hear, even Kit & Kat. It had never really occurred to you before. Speaking of the twins, they hung over your shoulder, looking at what you were doing. You were used to them hanging over your shoulder, because they had this strange obsession and adoration for you.
"Whatcha doing, Y/n?"
"Yeah, what are you doing Y/n?"
They repeated their questions multiple times, until you finally answered.
"I'm not doing anything."
"That's boring." Wilykat sighs, before messing with your hair.
"Yeah, that's boring," Wilykit is quick to agree, tightening her grip on your hair as she braids the side she was on.
"You could always leave-"
"No, that would be more boring."
"Yeah. Oh, Y/n, let's go do something!" Wilykit begs, but you just shake your head.
"No way, I'm content sitting here. Why don't you both do something and leave me alone?"
"But we want to do something with you."
"Wow, that sucks... For you," You chuckle at your remark, before laying down on the grass and closing your eyes.
They were going to respond when they stopped, their ears perking up at a high pitch ringing sound. They looked at each other, before looking down at you.
"Did you hear that, Y/n?" Wilykat asks, which causes you to groan thinking they were messing with you.
"Oh, please, I'm not falling for that."
Suddenly, the ringing echos again, yet you still didn't hear it.
"Do you really not hear it, Y/n? It's a loud ringing sound."
"Uhuh... Sure."
You hear massive footsteps, which causes you to slightly open your eyes and see Panthro. You quickly sit up and stretch.
"What are you troublemakers doing?"
The twins click their tongues, before Wilykit speaks, "Nothing, because Y/n's being boring."
"Well, as long as you aren't causing trouble."
"Hey, Panthro, did you hear that loud ringing?"
He looks confused for a split second, before his eyes widen in realization, "Oh, Cheetara found a whistle that Addicus dropped."
"Y/n thought we were crazy when we said there was a loud ringing sound." Wilykit was quick to throw you under the bus.
"Y/n can't hear as well as us," Panthro tells the twins, causing you to whip around to him.
"I heard that."
"Yeah, well, it's not like I was being quiet about it," He quickly throws back, causing you to roll your eyes and shake your head.
