Cafe Outing

My sister suggested we go to one of our favourite cafes and get some good food and read some good books ^_^

Despite all our trips out and about we have actually never just sat and relaxed at a cafe so it was nice to do so today

I was reading a favourite book of mine and, I got to a bit that made me tear up and it made me think of that River Song quote

The one that’s sort of like, “I hate good wizards in fairytales, they always turn out to be him (the Doctor)”

Only in my case I just think… I love reading books and seeing my beloved friends in the characters ^_^ the compassion and kindness that only seems real in fairytales only it isn’t, it’s in real life too Alhamdulilah

And seeing a bit of myself, seeing parts of myself and where they came from

Oh the food was delicious also, they have also started selling a Dubai Chocolate themed cheesecake! So of course I ordered it, I guess today’s sort of a cheesecake day as a reward for persevering and wrangling down my simmering anxieties and worries that threaten to bubble over, during the day to day of my life.

As you may note it’s much flatter/shorter than the Dubai Chocolate Kunafeh cheesecake I get from another bakery, it also isn’t half as crunchy or pistachio-y I’m afraid. However, it’s easier to go to this cafe for cheesecake (they have several types and just generally have a great dessert counter)

So while I wouldn’t get it as a big treat the way I would for the other Dubai Chocolate Kunafeh cheesecake, it’s definitely a spot to go to for cheesecake days, especially since it’s closer so I don’t need to shell out for travel 🥹

I was rather extravagant getting two drinks as well as the meal and dessert but, c’mon rose hot chocolate I had to go for it 🥰 tasted lovely, like a warm rooh afza only fancier

On my amazing day in Dubai, the first thing I had to do is go to Dubai mall and try a place called Uncle Fluffy, this place sells fluffy cheesecake, the cake jiggles like jelly, it is a mouthwatering dessert. It was my first time trying this Japanese cheesecake, it was honestly better than I expected. At first I thought that the cake wont be good, but it was so so good. Also, the workers were really nice to me. The whole experience was exhilarating, and I definitely recommend Uncle Fluffy, the best best cheesecake you will ever have, and make sure you try it with friends to make the experience more enjoyable. After enjoying the cheesecake, I was ready for more epic thing to do! The next activity that I did was to go on a shopping spree in the mall. I was eager to see what they had in store for me! The first store I went to was Zara and OH MY GOSH! everything was brand new and there was a huge sale, since I went to Dubai during new years celebration. I bought lots of stuff, it was thrilling. Next I went Bershka, the sale at Bershka wasn't as good as the sale in Zara, it was truly unforgettable. I had so much fun. After experiencing a shopping spree in Dubai mall, I was curious to where I should go next. I went to a perfume shop and they let me test lots of different perfumes so I can decide which one to buy. in the end I took a perfume that smelled like flowers. That was the end of my wonderful experience in Dubai mall. Looking back at my visit to Dubai mall, I can say that it was a breathtaking experience! I highly recommend Dubai mall for people who has a shopping addiction, like me! It is a great place for adults who love shopping. I also recommend it for kids, even though they might get tired with how big the mall is, it has so many floors and elevators were always full. It is a prefect for friends, families and married couples who are looking for fun things to do. I had so much fun! I made such memorable memories with my family in Dubai.

#FF5733. yes i dug up an old picture and eyedropped the hex value i hate it that much. it's so fucking obnoxious and i used to own a dress that exact color (and even aside from the color the dress itself was just ugly as sin) that i had to wear way too often because "it was a gift from your relative and you have to show how grateful you are for it!!!!!!" i ended up shrinking it in the wash on purpose and told my mom i just outgrew it (sometimes a girlboss gotta gaslight :/) point is i hate it. reminds me bad memories and it's just an awful color on its own. yeah.

7. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium?

angelfish my friend angelfish my best friend even <3 i also really like seeing manta rays (they look like this :]) and dolphins (i got to touch one at a dolphin show in dubai once!!! it wasn't an aquarium per se but it still a big win i had fun c:) and axolotls (they look like this :}) and hammerhead sharks (they look like they were squished in some kind of looney tunes situation and have yet to blow air into their thumb to reset themselves back) and oh my god i love the aquarium i need to go again soon

16. thoughts on mint chocolate chip?

not very good thoughts honestly. it tastes like toothpaste with chunks in it it's nasty >:( i much prefer caramel or cake batter or perhaps cheesecake. there are so many beautiful ice cream flavors in the world but mint chocolate chip is not one of them

mango tea with strawberry popping boba is my all time favorite! if they don't have that strawberry milk tea with brown sugar boba! if they don't have that lychee tea with peach boba! if they don't have that i walk into the forest and am violently rendered asunder by a creature into blood and guts and gore! i really love boba and i've been having it a lot ever since i went to college bc there's a boba place near campus :D i actually don't really like regular tea, only boba. idk why but regular tea always tasted too bitter and earthy to me

26. how's your spice tolerance?

not great to be honest :/ i just don't see the appeal in burning my mouth and being in pain when that could simply be avoided. i deal with enough stressful situations as is i don't need any from my food. and it's worse than it could be because everyone else in my family is a masochist or perhaps a demon of some sort and loves spicy food so sososo much. did you know my brother did the one chip challenge like three fucking times completely willingly. insane. i can actually tolerate it in like chicken or kebabs just not anywhere else.

Food: 3/5 –  For food, they had sweet and savory pastries, including milk cake, cheesecake, and borek looking hand pies (fatayer) filled with cheese, potato, meat, etc. I had a mixed experience. The za’atar croissant was hard and seemed stale. The Dubai chocolate bar was too fragile.  

Coffee: 4/5 – Yemeni coffee blends spices, herbs, and coffee. Hot and cold drinks are offered, including espresso drinks, Turkish coffee, cocoa, and specialty lattes. My Qamari latte had a simple foam art and a blend of cinnamon and cardamom. It was a bit bitter/
