I strongly recommend checking out the original play too.

Frankly I personally prefer the manga to the play, but the scanlation hasn't been updated in over a year, so unless you can read Japanese, you have to watch the play if you want to know the rest of the story.

There are many other plays in the series too, some more accessible than others, but if you like the first play then you'll likely also like the others. My personal favorite is Lilium. You can find info on all of them here.
