not really! i took standard art classes offered in grade and highschool and attended less than a year of college in pursuit of an art degree.

...and then i realized college was kinda bullshit and dropped out. <- (this is awesome and i'm proud to be a college dropout and i'm not joking) BUT! i had *one* really cool professor who loved anime and had a fursona and they are massively the reason i didn't give up on art as a career.

i'm a strong believer in the internet having almost any class/tutorial/guide that you can think of for Free, so nowadays i'll watch youtube vids or look at free classes to try and hone my skillz

It’s been a while since I last posted a picture here, but I figured I’d share one now. :-D I’m currently on a cruise with my parents that they got as a sorta graduation gift for me (except that I’m fairly certain I failed my final exam so I’ve not technically graduated yet… oops). Either way, I decided to wear this pretty emerald green (that looks blue with the filters I put on it) dress that I got for less than $10 at a bin store. :-D

(Also, if anyone was unaware, a bin store is a store that has a bunch of bins of stuff that are all sold for the same price. Each day the prices decrease until restock day, when it restarts. My local bin store goes from $15, to $10, $7, $5, $3, then finally $1 before restocking. I either got this dress on the $10, $7, or $5, not sure. I also got my shoes for $1.50 at a close out sale for a Forever 21, so all in all my outfit’s a good deal, which I always love to get. ^-^)

state of the Hazel: not doing too great. general summertime sadness combined with a recently passed cat of mine is not great for the mind. i'm gonna miss that big dope.

i'm getting a good sense for how i'm also feeling gameways, though it ain't much good news. getting back into Persona is feeling rough because i feel like i "have to" play it more than i "want to" play it, generally never great. i still really want to have played it and post the clips here, but given the whole moderation issues of this site, it feels like there's added pressure to do it before it's too late, whether or not "too late" is something i actually need to worry about.

as for more immediate issues, sticking to just Splatoon for so long is getting me into burnout phases. i can understand why, in the past few years, i've usually finished at least one or two pokemon monotype runs by August, maybe visit another game for a good while, but i've done neither this year.

i think playing a new game is probably the best way to get out of this funk right now, though. precisely, i think something i never posted here could work best, to help enjoy the posting process a little bit more too.

i did a whole shopping list in the tags sitting on this, but that'll do for this one. give myself a little time with something new, should be be fine.

I had to replace my beloved yellow headphones I’ve had since 2010 like… maybe 1.5 years ago with some Bluetooth headphones (because of tech companies phasing out 3.5 mm jack technology, not because of any problem with the headphones) and the Bluetooth chip in my replacement headphones is already fried.

And now I’m looking at replacing my headphones AGAIN and it’s like man! There isn’t a single connection type on the market that’s simple and easy to use for me! I have a Windows computer and an iOS phone so I have the worst of both worlds in terms of wireless device pairing and need a dongle to make any wired pairing work. And I like wired headphones! I hate Bluetooth pairing because it’s always glitchy and weird and a hassle no matter what you do.
