Hey guys, dropping in to say that Grace is MOST LIKELY of the Lutheran denomination. On a discord server we started with a chart of all the most popular denominations in Michigan specifically to rule out which ones weren’t even on there, and therefore most likely wouldn’t have a church. We then ruled out ones with specific opposing beliefs to those shown in the various shows by the Chasity’s and Bill, who goes to the same church as Grace. Someone latched onto the fact that Grace described their church as a “ministry” and that narrowed down the pack quite a bit. Of those left, Lutherans had the largest presence in Michigan of about 5%, not unlikely that they’d get some churches, and their beliefs generally line up with what’s shown in the shows. Pro crucifixes (Grace knits sweaters for the nearly naked Jesus figures on them in her home) also very Jesus oriented, grace wears a WWJD bracelet. Anti LGBTQ, “She bisexual and dead, where else would she be?” Said by Grace, referring to Ruth being in Hell. And perhaps part of the hurdle of Bill learning to accept Deb and Alice? along with other details.

Please, if you’d like to try and disprove this conclusion or iterate off this information to find a better fit, be my guest! But this seems like the most likely answer to the question that the Langs swore would never be officially answered.
