Jimmy Eat World Chase This Light 2007 After last night's dour outlook on the world tonight had to be more uplifting. So I've gone with Chase This Light by Jimmy Eat World. This might well be their best complete album. My favourite will always be Bleed American and I love Futures and Clarity. I also like a lot of tracks from their albums since CTL. But none of them have been so pitch perfect. This albums song writing is so good, the production is clear and sonically huge, the lyrics are familiar and poignant and hit me in the feels. Front to back this album is perfect. But it's still not my favourite. #bathtimerecord #bonus Jimmy Eat World Chase This Light 2007 Here is another great album that just might be the last perfect album that JEW made. They've made some great music since but nothing as well crafted as their four album run of Clarity (1999) the aforementioned Bleed American (2001) Futures (2004) and this brilliance form 2007. In some ways they nailed their sound so well here maybe they've been on the run from it ever since. The pop hooks are huge. Every track could have been a single (Gotta Be Somebody's Blues the only real exception) and then there is a track like Dizzy that is soooo good there are no words. This nearly beats out Bleed American as my favourite JEW album.
