“When we get up to our floor, can you please go find Anderson for me? I need him to run to find me some files down in the basement.” Lucy said to Spencer as they walked into the elevator. “Oh and before I forget, I stopped by the office when I done with Lauren and dropped off a few files on your desk that need to get done before the end of the month. Cruz says your missing a few entries in the file.”

“How much coffee have you had this morning?” Spencer says hitting the button for the sixth floor.

“None, actually.” Lucy responds adjusting the strap of her go-bag on her shoulder.

As the doors open on the sixth floor, the two of them walk out meeting Garcia in the lobby. “Good morning my beautiful birdies.” She greeted them with a bright smile and tight hug for both of them. “Did you hear about the new addition?” She said looking at Lucy. “According to Sam and the rest of the team, she’s a beast. Crazy good.”

“No one’s told me anything about her.” Lucy says giving Spencer the side eye look. “I’ve been in the dark the whole time you guys have been gone.”

“Well she’s here already if you want to meet her.” Garcia says. “Come on!”

Lucy stopped in her tracks when she saw Charlie standing next to JJ and Emily as they laughed about something Rossi was talking about. “What’s wrong?” Spencer asks as he walked over to Lucy.

“I know her..” Lucy says.

“We know you two had classes together under Gideon.” Spencer says stuffing one his hands into his pants pocket.

Lucy shook her head. “I...I have to go…” Lucy says as she leaves the bullpen and heads to her office. Dropping her bags on the couch she walks over to her desk and collapses into the chair.

“So how was the flight here?” JJ asks.

“Not bad.. I slept through most of it.” Charlie giggles.

“Morning, Reid.” Luke says when he sees Spencer walking over. “Where’s Luce?”

“Oh.. Uh, she’s in her office.”

“I’ll go get her.” JJ says as she leaves the bullpen.

She knocks on the door and peers her head inside. “Hey, Charlie’s here.”

“I know..” Lucy says not tearing her eyes away from her laptop.

“Don’t you want to come say hello?”

“Can’t,” Lucy says getting up from her desk chair. “I have to meet with Cruz.” Grabbing her phone she heads off to the elevator leaving JJ in her office. JJ goes back to the rest of the team.

“Where is she?” Spencer asks.

“She has to meet with Cruz. Maybe later.” JJ says turning her attention to Charlie.

“No worries,” Charlie says waving her in dismissal. “I’ll see her eventually.”

“You’re probably wondering why I called you in this morning.” Cruz says as he hands Lucy a cup of coffee before retreating behind his desk.

“Yes, actually.” Lucy says sitting down across from him.

“The Director has transferred a new agent from San Francisco to join your team.”

“Yeah, I found out this morning when I came in.”

Cruz nods his head. “She will be a profiler but I also want her to help you out cases, going through them, deciding which ones need our assistance most.”

“Is Emily aware of all this?”

“Yes, I emailed her everything. But I wanted to talk to you in person so it wouldn’t have come as a surprise.”

“So do we share offices or…”

Cruz chuckles shaking his head. “She’ll have her own desk out in the bullpen. She’ll only come to your office from noon to five to help you out.”

“With all due respect, sir, I don’t need help. I’m ahead on my work. Like five months worth. All I need to do it get the next cases put together.”

“She can help with that. Give them all to her and she’ll put them together for you.”

“But I have a system. JJ taught me hers but I modified it to work for me.”

“You seem to be hostile towards this idea and Charlotte.”

Lucy rolls her eyes before crossing her arms over her chest. “I’m very protective over my work and my space.” She then responds turning her eyes back on Cruz. “And yes I am hostile towards Charlotte. The academy was hell with her.”

“Charlotte? I never knew her to be like that?”

“That’s because you never shared a dorm with her. I’ve known her since high school, sir. I know her better than anyone here. Please, I’m begging you. Do not let her come into my personal space.”

“She can’t be that bad,” Cruz says leaning back in his chair. “But the decision has already been made. You are dismissed.”

A knock came on her office and Charlie peered her head in. “Hey, it’s noon.” She says.

“Oh..” Lucy says putting down her pen. “Right…” She stands up from her desk and walks over to the bookshelf where she kept the newest files on hand. “This is where I am at right now. I have a particular system to how this should be done. I, however, don’t have time to sit and explain to you because I have to get this case ready for the team.” Lucy hands her a completed file from a few months ago. “This is a copy of a case report I’ve done up already. By following this, you should be able to get this stack done pretty easily. If you have any questions, I’ll be in the copy room getting all this done.” Lucy says as she picks up the original case file from her desk and leaves the office.

Charlie peeks her head out of the office and watches Lucy head down the hall to the copy room. Once she had disappeared around the corner, Charlie got up from the couch and went over to Lucy’s desk. Seeing that Lucy had logged out already, she knew just how to get in. Typing away she heard a ding as the computer unlocked and she was on the home page. “Alright, Lucinda, let’s see where you keep those files.”

“Oh good!” Garcia says as she walks into the copy room. “I was just about to see if you were in your office.”

Lucy shakes her head. “I’m in here.”

Garcia peers around the printer before groaning. “Ugh.. Another case?”

Lucy shrugs her shoulders. “Sorry… This came in while you guys were in San Francisco.”

“Where is it?”

“You’ll find out.”

Lucy grabbed the last of the papers. “Now time to sort them into individuals.” Lucy says as she picks up the enormous stack of papers and pictures.”

“And when is everyone leaving?” Garcia asks as they both leave the copy room.

“Tomorrow the latest. I told the Sheriff that I would brief the team today and that we’d be leaving first thing tomorrow morning.” Lucy explains as they passed the bullpen.

Charlie glances up from the computer upon hearing Lucy and Garcia’s voice. Not finding what she was looking for, she quickly exited out of everything she was in and logged out of the computer. She rushed over to the couch and quickly picked up a case file and pretended she was still figuring out the system.

“Well do you think we could have a ladies’ night when you all get back? It’s much deserved.”

Lucy giggles as she walks over to her desk. “Yeah, I’m down. I’ll talk to Spencer and see if he can watch the kids while we’re out.”

“Two hours max. A nice little dinner in the city.”

“Yeah,” Lucy laughs. “Remember the last time you all said two hours?”

Garcia rolls her eyes. “This time it really will be two hours. I heard the Hard Rock is having a special through the rest of the month. Maybe we could go there.”

“You’ll have to see what everyone else says.” Lucy says as she sits down at her desk. “Now, can you do me a favor?”

“Sure!”

“Be my little birdie and inform the team that they need to be at the round table at twelve. Gives me to sort these out.”

“I will do that.” Garcia says as she leaves the office.

“How are the files coming?” Lucy asks Charlie as she gets to work.

“Your system is a lot more complex than I thought.” Charlie says a laugh.

“You’ll get used to it.” Lucy says as she gets to work on sorting on the current case files.

“Six men, in Woods Valley, Georgia, were found shot and killed in their homes.”

“Six?” Emily questions. “Why not call us sooner?”

“They thought they had it under control when the third victim was found, but the next three came so rapidly that they were getting overwhelmed which is when they called me while you all in San Francisco,” Lucy explains. “I’ve been working with them when the fifth victim was found. They contacted me as soon as the body was discovered. The sixth was found several hours ago. All were married with three kids. They travel a lot to due to business meetings.”

“When we land, I want JJ, Matt, and Luke to go check out the latest crime scene. Rossi and Reid will go with Tara to the coroner’s to take a look at the bodies. Luce, Charlie, and myself will set up at the police department.”

“Before I forget,” Lucy says. “Police only have cruisers for arrests. All other tasks are handled on horses.”

“You’re kidding..” Luke says.

Lucy nods her head. “I have everything set up. We’ll take a flight to Atlanta but we have to take a train to Woods Valley. It’s a town kind of like Hope Valley in When Calls The Heart.”

“The wild west, how fun.” Rossi says chuckling.

“Each crime is local so walking isn’t too far. However, if you don’t want to walk, you can take a horse.”

“Does everyone ride horses in this town?” JJ asks.

“No, not everyone. If you want to drive a car, you can. There’s no law against it. This is just a town that used horses to get around town. Have been for hundred of years. They only time majority use their cars if they’re driving farther out of town.”

“I don’t know how to ride a horse.” Spencer says.

“Oh! That’s another thing,” Lucy says. “Buggies. The department has some buggies that hook onto the horse. That should be easy for you to manage.” Lucy says.

“Alright, we leave tomorrow first thing in the morning. Until then, get as much work done as you can tonight.”

“Flight leaves at eight.” Lucy calls after the team.

The rest of the day was pretty quiet after Anderson came in to take files to the basement for Lucy. “Oh, actually Anderson!” Lucy calls before he leaves her office. “Take Charlie with you so she knows where to go in case she needs to go down there.”

“Alright, let’s go.” Anderson says motioning for Charlie to follow him.

Getting down to the basement level where old files were kept, he showed Charlie how the filing system is set up. “So if I needed to find a file from 2011, where would that be?”

“Ah, right over here.” Anderson says leading her down several rows of shelves until he came to 2011. “All right here. Is there a file that Lucy needs?”

“Oh no, I just wanted to know.”

“Oh, okay. Well we’d better get back upstairs.” Anderson as he shows Charlie the direction to the door.

Reaching Lucy’s office, Charlie dives back into work making the quietness just plain awkward.

The next morning the team had all arrived at the airport just as it was time to take off. Each board the jet one at a time and taking their seats. “I don’t know how well this is going to go over with the horses.” Luke says taking his seat on the couch.

“It’s a lot easier than you think.” Lucy says.

“That’s easy for you to say.” He says. “I haven’t ridden a horse since I was thirteen.”

“It’s like a riding bike, Luke.”

“A bike is totally different from a horse. A horse can choose not to listen, a bike is not alive and therefore can’t do anything but move when you move.” Luke replies as Lucy gets up to get a bottled water from the back kitchen area.

It wasn’t long before they landed at the Atlanta airport and making their way to the train station. “Oooo I’ve never been on a train before.” Charlie says. “It’s so much different from the metro.”

Emily sat next Lucy in one of the rows and handed her a bag of pretzels. “So how are you adjusting to having Charlie on the team?”

“I don’t know..” Lucy says opening the bag of pretzels. “We’ve never been good friends and I just… I feel as if there’s something hidden about her..”

“What? Like a hidden agenda?”

“Yeah, exactly!” Lucy says nodding her head. “Anderson even thought she was acting weird when he showed her down to the basement filing room.”

“How so?”

“She asked where files from 2011 would shelved and of course he showed her where they would.”

“So you think she’s looking for a cold case?”

“Well yeah, but why is the main question? Why would she looking for a case from 2011?” Lucy glances over at Charlie who was seated just a few rows in front of her. “She even went through my computer looking for it.”

“She looked through your computer? How did she even get in?”

“Hacking, I assume. I use a lot of numbers for my password so I highly doubt she would have figured it out.”

“And 2011? That’s specific?”

“But what could’ve happened in 2011 that the FBI investigated that would make her interested in it?” Emily questions. “And why try to be sneaky about it?”

Lucy shrugs her shoulders. “I have no idea but I plan on finding out sooner rather than later.”

Arriving at the Woods Valley train station, they were met by several officers on horseback, each holding another horse by it’s reigns. “Welcome to Woods Valley, agents.” One of them spoke. “I’m Sheriff Gallagher.” He says. “We’re pressed on time, the captain is itching for some answers. We only brought seven horses so four of you will have to partner up.”

Lucy grabbed hold of Spencer and took him over to a horse while Tara went with Emily. “It’s a not far treck from here to the center of town. A couple officers will lead some of your agents to the latest crime scene, then some to the coroner’s, and I’ll take the rest to the station.”

Lucy climbed up on the horse first and got herself settled before Spencer climbed on, with the assistance from Luke. “Be careful.”

Lucy laughs. “Who wants to race?” She says winking to the others.

“You’re on.” JJ says taking on the challenge.

“We are not racing.” Spencer says. “I’d rather ride with Luke.”

“Hop on.” Luke says nodding his head. “At least I’ll be careful.”

Spencer slid off the horse and went over to Luke as JJ rode up next to you. “You two please be careful!” Emily calls.

“Hi-yah!” Lucy shouts kicking the sides of the horse making it take off.

“You cheater!” She hears JJ yells behind her.

Laughing even harder, she kicks the horse to make him go faster. “Come on boy, you can do it. We’re almost there.” She says seeing the edge of the town coming into view. Soon she hears hooves behind her and then she sees JJ riding up beside her.

“Cheaters never win.” JJ taunts as she picks up speed.

They were neck and neck once they reached the town. Lucy could see the police department come in to view. She started to slow down until she came to a stop in front of the department, JJ coming up just seconds behind her.

“You’re pretty good.” JJ says as she dismounts her horse.

“Pretty good?” Lucy says as she dismounts hers as well. “I beat your ass here.” Lucy laughs.

Untying her bags from the saddle, she heads up the steps and into the department. “It was completely empty. “So all of the officers that work here were there to meet us at the station.” JJ says.

“Help me get set up then? Until the others get here.” Lucy says.

“Let’s get to it.” JJ says nodding her head towards the conference room.

“Oh good, you’ve got everything set up.” Emily says as she and the others walked into the room.

“Officer Brown and Officer Shultz will take some of you to the crime scene, Officer Ray and Officer Thornton will take some of you to the latest crime scene; it’s been contained since so your agents will be able to see everything like we did when we got there. And then finally, the rest of you will stay here.”

The team split up to their assigned tasks while Emily, Lucy, and Charlie stayed with the Sheriff. “If you don’t mind me asking,” Charlie says. Instantly Lucy’s head shot up and she slowly closed the file. “Can you tell us more about our victims? All we know is that they were family men who traveled a lot for business.” Lucy rolled her eyes knowing Charlie was just trying to make it seem like Lucy wasn’t doing her job correctly. “After all, you know these men way better than we do.”

“Oh yeah, everything you said is true. They all were family men. Always put their family first. I had conversations with them about their traveling and they say they hated it, always being away from their families for days maybe even weeks depending on how meetings and production went. Their children was their life. These men would die to protect them.”

“Do you think they died protecting them?” Charlie questions.

“I wouldn’t doubt it but their families weren’t home at the time of the attacks.” The Sheriff responded. “The children were in school and the wives were at a sewing class when it all happened.”

“So we can rule out the wives,” Emily says. “Who would want to go after these men?”

“Sir!” An officer runs over, clearly out of breath.

“What’s going on?” Gallagher said.

“The press, they’re already gathering outside, sir. Some even came from Atlanta and surrounding cities.”

“I’ll handle them.” Lucy says. But she notices Charlie was already gone. “Where’d Charlie go?” Lucy quickly leaves the room and heads outside to find Charlie conversing with the press. “Excuse me,” Lucy says as she pushes her way through the crowd of reporters and cameramen. “Excuse me.” She reaches Charlie and covers her mouth. “At this time the FBI has no comments. I will be sure to contact you if we have any information that we can give out.”

“And who are you?” A reporter spoke up as she thrust her microphone at Lucy.

Lucy kindly moved it way from her. “Agent De Luca. I’m the liaison for the team.”

“But she told us she was.” Another reporter spoke up.

“From now on, any questions will be directed towards myself and Agent Prentiss.” Lucy says as she grabs hold of Charlie’s arm and pulls her back inside the department. “What the hell was that?” Lucy says once the doors had been shut.

“Someone needed to talk to them.”

“You do not talk to the press unless you are told to by myself or Prentiss, got it?”

“What’s the harm in helping?” Charlie says tossing her arms over her chest.

“If you’re going to do that, you need to make sure you have the right answers to give before you speak; otherwise you tell them nothing and leave it at that.”

“Why are you so pressed about this? I was just trying to help.”

“What we need help with right now is finding the unsub. I have the press covered. Just do your job and I’ll do mine.” Lucy says before she walks away.

Emily walks out of the conference room. “Sheriff just got walkied. There’s been another victim found.”

“Where?” Lucy says.

Emily hands Lucy a piece of paper with the address written on it. “Spencer and Rossi are on their way there right now. I want you to meet them there.”

“Just don’t let her do my job.”

“I’ll handle the press until you get back.” Emily says.

“Here take this.” The Sheriff says as he hands Lucy as walkie talkie. “Just in case anything happens on your way there, cell service is spotty.”

“Don’t jinx me.” Lucy smiles taking the walkie talkie from Gallagher and hooking to her belt loop.

Walking out of the department, she mounts her horse and head off towards the crime scene. “Hi-yah! Let’s go boy! Hi-yah!” She shouts kicking the horse’s sides. Reaching the woods ten minutes later she slows down just a little noticing the horse was getting anxious. “What is it boy?” She says reaching forward to stroke his jet black hair. “What’s got you nervous?” She stops the horse in its tracks when she hears rustling in the woods. She turns in a circle looking at every angle when the horse neighs and throwing his front hooves in the air. “WHOA WHOA!” She exclaims. He jumps up in his hind legs again, this time knocking Lucy off of him. Her screams fill the air as she falls with a thud to the ground. The wind was knocked out of her making it hard to catch her breath. The horse runs off in fright. Suddenly she was knocked backwards on her back and an amr pressed to her neck cutting off her air supply.

A woman hovered over Lucy, her eyes staring intensely into hers. “Stay...away.. They deserved it…” Just as fast as she pinned Lucy to the ground, she was gone.

Remember what Rossi said… She thought to herself. “Don’t go to sleep.. You go to sleep, you die. Don’t go to sleep!”

But despite how hard she fought to stay awake and call for help, it was getting harder to keep her eyes open.

Shouts could be heard outside as a horse dashed through the town. A few men ran after it to try to stop it and calm it down. Emily and the Sheriff ran outside to find that it was Lucy’s horse with no Lucy riding it.

Soon Spencer’s voice came through the walkie talkie. “Emily, where’s Lucy? I thought you said she was meeting us here?”

“Lucy’s in trouble.” She responded back to him.

Rossi ran out of the house and back to his horse. “Spence, you don’t even know how to ride!” Rossi calls after him.

“I’ll figure it out!” Spencer says before kicking the sides of the horse and taking off into the woods.

“Coulter! Wild! We got a federal agent missing.” Gallagher says. “Hook up the wagon, we’re going out!”

Ducking underneath low branches, Spencer sees a dark mass lying on the path. Getting closer her sees Lucy’s hand, her wedding rings shining in the sunlight that peeked through the trees. Stopping his horse he dismounts and quickly runs over to her.

“Lucy..” He says slowly and carefully turning her over. “Lucy, come on. Wake up.”

Pulling his hand away from underneath her head he finds blood covering his hand. Immediately he tore off his coat and bunched it up before placing underneath Lucy’s head. He leans down towards her chest and feels her breathing. He sighed in relief knowing she was alive but unconscious. Hearing hooves and wagon wheels turning he looks up to see the Sheriff and Emily coming through the trees. Emily jumped off her horse before the wagon stopped and ran over to the two of them.

“She unconscious but still breathing.” Spencer says. “She has a head injury on the back of her head.”

Gallagher hops of his horse with a first aid kit and begins wrapping Lucy’s head. “Gently, we’re going to lift her into the wagon and bring her back to Dr. Preston.”

“How’s Lucy doing?” JJ asks as the team piles into the conference room.

“Doctor’s monitoring her right now. She’s gonna need stitches though from her fall.” Emily explains. “Which means I will be handling the press until the doctor gives her the okay to be back on her feet.”

“Has she woken up yet?” Rossi says hoping Emily wouldn’t say no.

“No word yet from Spencer.” Emily says shaking her head.

“How did this happen?” Tara says as she sits down at the table.

“Horse was frightened by something,” Charlie says. “It was in a frenzy when it came back to the town.”

“We won’t know exactly what happened until she wakes up.” Emily says. Just as she said that her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulled it out to see a text from Spencer. “Spencer says she just woke up. I want Rossi to go over there and sees if she can remember what happened. The rest of us will get started on the profile before we deliver it to the officers.

“We just got into the woods when the horse started getting anxious.” Lucy says, her eyes trained on the floor below her. Rossi wanted to try a cognitive to see if she would remember anything. “I turned in a circle to look around me but I didn’t see anything. He must have seen something that I didn’t because he kept jumping up on his hind legs and I fell to the ground. I don’t remember hitting my head on anything but I got the wind knocked out of me..” She took in a deep breath. “I couldn’t breathe...  Whoever scared the horse didn’t want me going to the house. She pinned me to the ground and basically choking me…. She said to stay away and that they deserved it.”

“Was she talking about the victims?” Rossi asks.

Lucy nods her head. “I think so. I mean it only makes sense since I was heading towards the newest crime scene to meet up with you and Reid.”

“Do you remember what she looked like?”

“Uh…. She didn’t look very tall. About an inch or two shorter than I was. She sounded young, maybe fourteen or fifteen. Brown eyes, black hair. She had on a bracelet that had a date written on it. Uh… Two….sixteen….two thousand eleven.”

Rossi could see that Lucy was getting distressed so he ended the cognitive. “Alright, take a deep breath, open your eyes.” Lucy did as he told her to. “Don’t push yourself.”

“But she could be our unsub. I saw her. I have to find her.”

“No, no. Right now you need to rest.”

“But she got away. She killed seven men. I have to find her.” Lucy says pushing past Rossi.

“Lucy, where are you going?” Spencer says as he runs after her.

“I have to find her…” She says when he grabs hold of her arm.

“Find who?”

“The unsub.. I have to find the unsub.”

“No you don’t,” Spencer says pulling her back. “You need to rest.”

“I’ll be fine. I need to find her.” She yanks her arm away from Spencer and heads for the department. As she walked towards the stables, she dialed Garcia’s number.

“Oh my gosh! You’re awake! How are you feeling?”

“I’m fine, I need you to find someone for me.”

“Oh tell me it isn’t the person who almost killed you?” Garcia says.

“It is.. But I have some details that could help you find her.”

“Alright, hit me baby. My fingers are ready.”

“Okay, it’s a female…”

“That narrows it down to sixty.”

“She has black hair, brown eyes.”

“Okay, this works. I’m down to seven females.”

“Send me their photos.” Lucy says as she steps into the stables.

“I’m on it. Does Emily know what you’re up to?”

“I’m sure Spencer went to get her.”

“Please be careful. If she can kill seven men without remorse, what makes you think she won’t kill you?”

“Don’t worry, P.” Lucy says before hanging up.

“Agent De Luca!” One of the stable workers said as he approached Lucy. “You’re awake! How are you feeling?”

“Okay, I guess.” Lucy laughs. “Where’s my horse?”

“Oh you mean Max? He’s resting right now in the other stable. After that scare he isn’t going out anywhere anytime soon. But I have Bullet ready to go if you’d like to take him?”

“He sounds promising.” Lucy says following the worker over to Bullet.

“Hey buddy, ready to go for a ride?” He says brushing Bullet’s hair. Lucy’s phone beeps in her pocket. She pulls it out to see all the photos of the seven women sent from Garcia. Scrolling through them she sees the girl who attacked her. “Hey, do you know this girl?” She says showing the photo to the worker.

“Of course! Her name’s Opal Winters. It must be tough being her right now.”

Lucy furrows her eyebrows. “Why do you say that?”

“Well because her father was murdered. It’ll be seven years ago in February.”

“That explains the bracelet she was wearing.”

“What is it yellow?” The worker asks.

“Yeah.” Lucy says nodding her head.

“Everyone has one. She had them made for his funeral.”

“Do you know where she lives?”

“Yes, behind the school. The blue house with the duck statue in the front yard.” The worker takes Bullet out of his stall and hands the reins over to Lucy. “Does she have something to do with these murders?”

“I’m not sure, I just want to talk to her.” Lucy says as she mounts the horse and rides him out of the stables. Luckily the house was in the opposite direction of the department, Emily would never see her.

Coming to the house she ties the horse to the pole in the front yard before going up to the step to the front door. She knocks on the door. It open a few seconds later revealing a woman. She had to be Opal’s mother.

“Can I help you?”

“Hi, I’m looking for Opal Winters?” Lucy says holding up her badge. “I have a few questions for her.”

“Oh, I’m sorry. You just missed her.”

“How long ago did she leave?”

“Just a few minutes ago.”

“Did she say where?”

The mother shook her head. “All I know is that she got a call and then she was gone.”

“How did she act when she got the call?”

“A little mad and nervous. She was biting on her nails while she was on the phone.”

“Do you by any chance know where she could’ve gone? Favorite place to go when she wants to be alone?”

“I sometimes find her at the lake.”

“Thank you, Mrs. Winters.” Lucy says as she leaves the house and gets back on her horse.

“Lucy!” She turns around to see Emily riding over on her horse with Spencer on the other one. “What are you doing?”

“I think I know who the unsub is.” Lucy says as she rides over to them.

“Care to tell us who it is?”

“Oh you’ll know.” Lucy says as she pulls out her phone. “Garcia, I need the last number that called Opal Winters.”

“Let me see what I can get.” Garcia says as she starts typing away. “Here we go. 555-0594.”

“And who owns that number?”

“Uh… Let me check..” It went silent for a while.

“Hello? Garcia?”

“Y-Yeah, yeah I’m here.”

“So? Who tipped her off?”

“Charlie….”

“Charlie? What she have anything to do with--That’s why she was about cases from 2011.” Lucy says. “Thanks Garcia.” She says before hanging up. “Charlie called Opal.” She says to

“But why would Charlie call Opal?” Emily says.

“Remember on the train I told you she asked Anderson about cases from 2011?”

“You think she has a part in this?”

“I guess we’ll have to find out. I was gonna have Garcia find the murder case of Opal’s father from that year.”

“Spencer, go back to the department and call Garcia. Make sure that Charlie is not around when you do. We don’t want to spook her and make things worse.”

“I’m on it.” Spencer says as he turns around and rides back to the department.

“Alright, where do you think Opal is?”

“Her mom says she likes to go to the lake when she wants to be alone.”

“Do you think she’ll be there?”

“It’s worth a shot to see.” Lucy says as she starts to lead the way to the lake. It wasn’t too far from the town. Just a few minutes max.

Once they arrived at the lake, they saw Opal sitting along the shore of the lake. Lucy dismounted her horse followed by Emily. Lucy waited until they were closer to speak up in case she tries to run from them. “Opal..” Lucy says.

“I knew you’d find me..” Opal says not turning around to face either of them.

“Come on, Opal. Let’s go have a little talk.” Lucy says standing her up. She brings her over to the horse. “Don’t even think of trying to ride off.” Lucy says as she hoists Opal onto Bullet. She climbs up behind Opal as Emily put the handcuffs on to Opal’s hands. They took her back to the department and sticking her in an interrogation room before going to find Spencer.

“Did you find her?” He asks once they found him in the Sheriff’s office.

“Yeah, we got her.” Lucy says as she closes the door behind her and Emily. “What did Garcia find?”

“Opal’s father was murdered the same way all seven of our victims were. A single gunshot to the head, execution style.”

“Anything about Charlie?”

Spencer nodded his head. “But she didn’t go by the name Charlotte Ingles. She used the alias, Kimberly King.”

“And she was never caught?”

Spencer shakes his head. “No, it’s like she disappeared after the murder of Mr. Winters before the police could catch up to her. She pretended to be a brunette despite her really being blonde.”

“But why murder Opal’s father?”

“She didn’t have motive. They found records from the apartment she was living in. She was paid to kill him.”

“Like a hitman?”

Spencer nods his head. “But not by Opal.”

“So who?”

“Her mother.”

“She was never arrested?”

Spencer shakes his head again. “No, because Opal’s mother is dead. She killed herself before they could make in arrest.”

“So it went cold because they couldn’t find Charlie?”

“There was no point to searching for her after they discovered that Mrs. Winters was behind the whole thing.”

“Wait… So who was the woman I talked to at the house?”

“Opal’s father’s sister-in-law, Talia.” Spencer says handing her picture to Lucy. “She took custody of Opal after Mr. and Mrs. Winters passed.”

“But did Opal kill those men now?” Emily questions. “And why did Charlie tip her off?”

“I guess it’s time to interrogate them both.” Lucy suggests.

“You talk to Opal, I’ll talk to Charlie with Luke.” Emily says as they all leave the office.

Spencer hands off the file to Emily to take in with her when she talks to Charlie. Lucy heads into the first room to talk to Opal while Emily went to find Charlie. “Charlie..” She says walking into the briefing room. “Come with me please..”

“Why are we in here?” Charlie asks as Emily brings her into the second interrogation room.

Emily keeps quiet as she sits down at the table and starts placing pictures down on the metal surface. Each one of different angles of Opal’s father. “Sit..”

“Emily, what is this?” Charlie sitting down at the other side of the table.

“Does the name Kimberly King ring a bell?” Emily says folding her hands together. She watched Charlie closely. She watched how she’d react and just as Emily had been hoping for, Charlie reacted by clenching her fists tightly. Her eyes darting between each photograph of Opal’s father. “You used Kimberly King as an alias to throw authorities off your trail after you were hired to murder Mr. Winters back in 2011.”

Lucy and Opal sat in the first interrogation room in silence. “Opal… I’m going to ask you again. Why did Charlie call you today?” Opal still kept herself silent. “Opal, you’re making this harder than it needs to be.”

Opal dropped her arms from her chest. “I don’t know any Charlie…”

“Yes you do because she uses the name, Kimberly King..” Lucy says. That alone struck a nerve with Opal. “Your mother hired Kimberly King, as a hitman, to murder your father.”

“I would’ve done the same thing if I were her.” Opal says rolling her eyes.

“Did you kill these men?” Lucy says setting out photos of the seven men on the table.

“They’re just like him…. Always leaving their families behind.”

“Did you kill them?” Lucy asks again.

“Yes! Alright!” Opal exclaims. “I killed them! Kimberly--Charlie--whoever she is, she called me and told me you knew who I was and that you were coming to talk to me.”

“Have you kept in contact with Charlie since?”

Opal nods her head. “She told me she’d take care of it.”

“Take care of what?” Lucy asks. Opal retreated back to her silent state not uttering a word. Leaving the interrogation room and locking the door behind her, she makes her way to the second room to find Luke inside the room with his gun drawn. Lucy immediately pulled out her gun and entered the room. There she found Charlie with her arm wrapped around Emily’s neck and a gun pointed to her head.

“Charlie… Put the gun down..” Lucy says.

“I told her I’d take care of it…” Charlie says. “Burn the files, throw you guys off the trail.”

“Charlie, it’s over. Drop the gun.” Luke says.

“That’s why I wanted to work in the BAU.” Charlie says, her hand gripping tighter around the gun. “Don’t get me wrong, I love the FBI, it’s what I dreamed of doing. But when Kimberly got the call about a hit, well.. I couldn’t pass that up.”

“You were never like this, Charlie.” Lucy says. “Now put the gun down and we can talk about this.”

“Talk about this? There’s nothing to talk about. I murdered a man because his wife wanted me to and now his daughter is doing what I did. I called her because I didn’t want her to end up like me. Running and hiding.”

“We would have found her after she attacked me, Charlie. She ran when you called.”

“But I told her not to. I told her to turn herself in.”

“And you? What will you do now?” Lucy questions. “Take your own advice?”

Charlie stared at Lucy. Her hand slowly released its tension before the gun dropped to the floor. She pushed Emily away and raised her hands in the air. “Is there anything else you’d like to take from me?” Charlie says as Luke handcuffs her and takes her out of the room. Lucy holsters her gun and goes over to Emily.

“Are you okay?”

Emily nods her head. “I’m done with the wild west. I just want to go home.” Lucy smiles. “You and me both.”

Walking out of the saloon with her bags on her shoulders, Lucy looks up to see JJ riding over holding onto the reins of Bullet. “So we’ve got a couple hours to kill before the train comes,” She prompts. “How about we go for a ride?”

“Wait for me!” Emily says as she rides up on her own horse.

“I thought you were done with the wild west?” Lucy says.

“One last ride won’t hurt. When’s the next time we’ll get the chance to ride a horse again?”

Lucy shrugs her shoulders as she drops her bags to the floor. “Why not?”

Spencer walks by and grabs Lucy’s bags. “We’ll meet you three at the station.”

Lucy walks over to Bullet and swings herself up on top of him. “First one to the lake is a dead fish!” She yells before kicking the horses’ sides. “Hi-yah!”

Hablando de la PANtOJA [=DINERO y T como CRUZ]..cuyo ultimo cd de canciones es HASTA QUE EL SOL SE APAGUE que le compuso JUAN GABRIEL justo antes de morir en SANTA MONICA [me recuerda a MONICA CRUZ que estrenaba EN BUSCA DE LA TUMBA DE CRISTO cuando LA VIDENTE DE LOS FAMOSOS o CRISTINA BLANCO la madre de su entonces novio MIGUEL ANGEL MUÑOZ me la pusieron en la habitación de al lado en Psiquiátrico LOPEZ IBOR porque la habían acusado de robar móviles y tarjetas de crédito en un hotel de MARBELLA cosa que me nego..yo estaba porque me llevaron desde el HOTEL NH BARAJAS tras discutir con mi padre y decir a mis amigos como el hermano de LEIVA de PEREZA contra el que jugue al futbol el dia antes en las instalaciones LUIS ARAGONES..que me iba a LOS ANGELES tras AXL ROSE porque le acababa de ver en el Auditorium JUAN CARLOS I adelantar cd CHINESE DEMOCRACY tocando MADAGASCAR sobre VER TODA LA LLUVIA CAER que fue lo primero que dio a conocer tras OH MY GOD para la BSO END OF DAYS..entonces ya tenia muchas casualidades o revelaciones de este tipo..que tras lo que me habia pasado me hacian pensar que era el ELEGIDO o el MESIAS=UNA LOCURA DE VERDAD]..el ALCALDE DE MARBELLA recien fallecido ..ha dicho que la dio 40 millones de pesetas [=240.000€] para que no se fuera a AME_RICA [=FOLLE_ADINERADA] ..que su Romance le costó 90 millones y que lo ARRUINO..lo dicho..a mi el SEXO me parece una PUTA RUINA O una ESCLAVITUD por la falsa moral del DINERO , FALSA RELIGION , IDOLATRIA Y POR SER UN PODER O TESORO DE LA MUJER desde el PECADO ORIGINAL

Por cierto..de AXL ROSE tenia un póster de cuando se puso en el homenaje a MERCURY DE QUEEN..la camiseta de CRISTO con lema MATA A TUS IDOLOS con el que tape un póster de JORDAN enmarcado en EL CORTE INGLES junto a la INCENDIADA TORRE WINDSOR=Familia Real britanica..camiseta tan significativa como la que se puso de Charles MAN_SON con frase en la espalda de CHARLIE [=VIETNAMITA] DON'T SURF=frase de APOCALIPSIS NOW y canción del cd SANDINISTA! de THE CLASH como IVAN MEETS GI JOE [=representación del gobierno USA en sus soldados]
