Hiii
I LOVE your work, and I was wonderful if you could write something with hurt/comfort with Matt Murdock?
Like you were coming home late and someone was following you home, and Matt hears you heart beat and comes to find you juste before the creepy person makes a move on you? And the reader is like “I’m fine, I’m okay” even tho she crying very hard and can’t breathe and Matt is like “no you’re not, but it’s okay I’ll take care of you” and then he takes care of reader and it’s fluff and comfort?
Thank youuuuu
Savior (Matt Murdock x Reader)
A/N: Hiiii! Thank you for reading! It's a short ficlet, but I ended up really liking how it turned out! Also, Charlie Cox is so, so PRETTY. A special thank you to my beta reader @wheredidiputmyfish for being so great! <3 (Word Count: 1.0k)

You didn’t fully comprehend the predicament you were in until it changed from sketchy to dangerous. Hell’s Kitchen was especially quiet that night, though the argument could be made that it never fully went to sleep. Bodegas, laundromats, and diners stayed open late into the night, and it was the light spilling from their fogged windows that lit your route home.
You knew Matt wouldn’t be happy with your decision to walk home alone. He’d warned you time and time again to wait for him, or get a taxi if he wasn’t around, but taxis were expensive, and he hadn’t answered your call earlier. Now, you cursed yourself for not waiting.
The man behind you had been following you for thirteen blocks – you'd counted in nervous breaths – and he was gaining on you. You walked at an increasingly rapid pace, heart thundering as you blindly dug through your bag for the pepper spray Foggy had gifted you when you’d moved to the city. It was big and a stark blue, with the words “I Heart NY” stamped around it, but your hands were shaking so badly that even if you could find it in the black hole that was your tote bag, you weren’t sure you’d be able to use it.
You turned the corner, nervously glancing at the stranger out of the corner of your eye, and almost yelped at the proximity he had gained. He was within ten feet of you, and you didn’t give yourself a chance to hesitate before you took off running.
“Hey!” He called.
You ignored him, pushing your legs to move faster. You could see the entrance to your building, a tiny speck in the distance, and you prayed Matt was close enough to hear your racing heart. The man’s feet pounded on the concrete behind you, and you let out a wild shriek that you hoped would alert someone nearby. If it was heard by anyone, they didn’t make it known. You were alone, and the man was so close to you now that you knew you’d be grabbed by him before you could make it to the safety of your building.
Arms wrapped around your middle, hauling you into an alley. You began shrieking at the top of your lungs, if only to make it harder for your attacker to get away with whatever he planned to do.
“Leave me alone! Stop!” You fought with all your might, swinging and kicking wildly in front of you in a last-ditch effort to get away. “Get off me, you fucking creep!”
Hands cradled your face.
“It’s me. It’s me, sweetheart.” Matt’s smooth voice coaxed your eyes open. You hadn’t even realized they were closed. “You’re safe, sweetheart. I’ve got you.”
You blinked up at him in relief. Your heart thundered in your chest, making it hard to breathe. He wasn’t in his Daredevil suit, but the way he clenched his jaw told you that the Devil was itching to come out and play.
“There was a man,” you started, voice scratchy from the screams you’d let out, “He was following me. I-I know I should’ve waited for you to come get me, but I didn’t want to bother you and then this guy showed up and I was trying to find the pepper spray but-” You were rambling now, gulping in air and waving your arms around as you explained.
“Are you okay?” Matt asked, softly caressing the curve of your cheekbone.
“Yeah.” You nodded. The lie tasted ashy on your tongue.
“You’re crying, sweetheart.”
“I-I’m fine.” You stuttered, attempting to blink the tears away. “I’m fine.” You tried again, but your voice wobbled as the words left your lips. You couldn’t tell if you were trying to convince him or yourself at that point. Matt nodded along with you, kissing your temple.
“Let’s get you home, okay? You’re safe now. No one will ever hurt you again, okay? I’ve got you.” He led you to the apartment you shared with him, only letting go when you sunk into the cushions of the couch. “I’m going to make you some tea, okay?”
“Okay.” Your voice was wispy, barely audible to anyone besides Matt, who had tuned himself to you so thoroughly that you sometimes felt like he could read your thoughts. Like right then, as the thought entered your brain, and he responded before you could even finish the thought. Some Chamomile tea would be grea-
“Is Chamomile alright?” He called, clinking the mug against the counter.
“Yeah, Matty. Thank you.” You breathed through your anxiety and wondered what happened to the man who’d been following you.
Later that evening, after he’d drawn you a bath and tucked you into bed, the Devil finally got what he wanted. Matt hadn’t mentioned it to you, but he’d been diligently tracking the stranger’s heartbeat since he’d intervened earlier that evening, and as soon as your heartbeat evened out, suggesting your deep slumber, Matt was jumping across rooftops towards the irregular heartbeat he’d been listening to all evening.
He wasn’t sure what he was going to do once he got his hands on the guy who had followed you earlier. The blood curdling scream you’d let out was indication enough of your fear, and it echoed in Matt’s ears as he got closer to his target.
He wouldn’t kill the man. That wasn’t a line Matt was willing to cross, but the thought certainly crossed his mind. If he’d put his hands on you, touched you with his filthy awfulness, Matt might’ve been angry enough to do it, though, and that terrified him. He’d never been so close to murder before, besides maybe with Fisk, but no one fucked with you and got away with it. He wouldn’t kill the guy, but he’d hurt him. Badly.
Matt took a deep breath and let the Devil creep out. May God have mercy on the stranger’s soul, because the Devil surely wouldn’t.

"You're late."
Beautiful, dark, hungry. Those were words you usually reserved for the Devil who protected Hell's Kitchen. Matt the lawyer was more soft, gentle, but still beautiful. Always beautiful. But the way he tipped his head, his senses painting a picture of your every step, and his broad chest swelled beneath that still crisp fabric of his new coat. You knew something was different tonight.
A good different.
A different that made you heart speed up and your breath quicken. The pavement beneath your feet blurred, your haste to get to him sparking a fire in your blood. Your eyes weren't the best in the dark, but the light floating around him gave you a helping hand. A yellowish glow settling on the way his hand tightened around the handle of his cane, two fingers rubbing against the top, and his stance shifted. Turning towards you before you could even say a word.
"Sorry, work was a little more complicated than I thought, but I'm ready for a little fun tonight."

Matt Murdock X Reader: When the world went quiet
Tumblr media
Warning: None (that i know of), fluff
Summary: Basically it's the blip happening from Matt's perspective.
Nothing could have prepared anyone for what was about to happen. Thanos had managed to surprise even those who knew (and were actively trying to stop) his plan. Imagen how shocked the rest of the world(the ones who knew nothing about their impending doom)had been.
Matt was walking with Foggy when it all started to go down. They’d been making their way back to the office when suddenly the world around them began to change. It started with the noise of someone's car crashing into a poll nearby. Matt focused on trying to listen to what was happening.
“There’s no one inside.”
Matt's eyebrows furrowed as he listened to the strangers who were near the crashed car. How could there not be anyone inside? The car couldn’t have just turned itself on. Matt turned to grab Foggy and ask him what he saw when it happened.
“Matt.”
One moment Matt could hear the panic in Foggy's voice and then suddenly he couldn’t hear anything anymore. He tried to find Foggy's heartbeat but there was nothing there. Then it seemed like everyone around him disappeared. He couldn't hear anyones heartbeat for miles. Panic set in at that moment. What was happening? What could have possibly caused this? Where was Foggy? The questions raced through Matt's head as he desperately tried to anchor himself to reality. He couldn’t see and now there was nothing to hear for miles. The voices seemed to scream inside the hull of his skull and then one of them came out a little bit louder than the rest.
Where were you?
You’d been talking to Karen when people started to disappear. The two of you had decided to stop at a cafe before meeting up with the boys at the firm. Everythings was going fine. You ordered your beverages and were patiently waiting for them to arrive when the screaming started. Your head snapped in the direction of the sound, your eyes falling onto a woman.
“My baby girl!”
The mother cradled a blanket in her arms but there was no child in sight. You worried that there had been some sort of kidnapping, after all a small baby couldn’t just disappear by itself. You got up to console the woman when Karen's voice entered your ears. She called out your name forcing you to look back at her. The first thing you noticed was the fear in her eyes. You looked down at the hand that had been placed on the table before you turned to look at the screaming woman. Your eyes widened as you realized that there was no hand anymore, only a trail of what looked like dust. You rushed over to Karen, pulling her into your arms.
“Hey look at me. It’s okay, I'm here.”
“I don’t know what's happening.”
“Just breathe, we'll figure it out.”
You turned to ask for help only to realize that Karen wasn’t the only one being affected by whatever was happening. All around you there were people yelling others names. A thick amount of dust covered the small cafe and that's when you realized. They were turning into dust. Karen's voice called for you once more but this time when you turned around to look at your friend she was gone. You stared at the place she’d previously been, your arms feeling lighter due to her absence. Your fingers were covered in dust. Covered in her ashes. You were frozen in place. For all you knew you’d just watched your friend die in your arms. What the hell was happening? What could be killing these many people simultaneously. Where were the boys? The boys. Matt. Where was Matt? Had he too disappeared like Karen or was he out there somewhere all alone listening as people disappeared and not knowing what was going on. You steeled yourself, forcefully brushing the dust off your hands and making your way out of the cafe. You wandered the streets, your ears numb to the sounds around you. You needed to get to Matt. That is if there was still a Matt to get to. You knew that he wouldn’t go home. He'd want to know all of you were okay first. If there was one place Matt would go it was the firm. So that was where you would go.
Matt hurried along the streets of Hell's kitchen. He was so desperate that he’d forgotten to keep the harmless blind guy act up. His cane was folded in his hands as he ran towards the firm, the sounds of screams and panicked conversation filling his ears as he went. He followed the familiar scent of coffee and lavender that made up the small building that he called his law firm. The stronger the smell became the faster he ran. His heart pounded in his chest making it almost impossible to hear anything other than its persistent thumping against his ribcage. He stopped in front of the building, trying to calm his racing heart and slow his breathing. He focused his attention into trying to listen into the building.
“God please let there be a heartbeat.”
And there was. Inside the building on the exact floor of the firm there was the sound of a heartbeat. A loud panicked heartbeat. Your heartbeat.
You were huddled in a corner of Matt's office, your chin against your knees as your arms hugged your legs in place. You’d come into the office a couple of minutes prior, your heart sinking once you’d found the place empty. You’d thought off giving Matt a call but gave up on that idea once you saw his cellphone on one of the desks. It wasn’t like you’d be able to reach him anyway. Not with the amount of people you suspected were calling their loved ones. If this had been on a global scale(which you suspected it was) it would be impossible to get a good cell connection. So instead you’d found a corner and sat down. There was nothing you could do except wait. And what would happen if no one showed up? Well that was a problem for later. Luckily for you not a problem you’d have to deal with because just as you were about to give up hope you heard the door slam open followed by the sound of Matt's voice calling your name. You rushed to get to your feet racing to where the brunette was. Tears filled your eyes as you took in the sight before you. Matt's hair was a mess which meant he’d run over. His cane in his hand and the glasses he’d normally wore were tucked into his shirt pocket, allowing to see his brown eyes filled with concern. He called out your name as he placed his cane onto the desk and moved his hand out in an inviting motion. You placed your hand in his, allowing him to pull you into his embrace. Your scent invaded Matt's nostrils and he’d never been more relieved to have you in his arms. You started crying into his shoulder causing him to make soothing movements on your back with his hands.
“It happened so fast she was there and then she was gone. There was nothing i could- i don’t know how it just-”
“Shhh breath darling. Take a deep breath.”
You did as you were told, the crying making it hard to suck in the air around you.
“There you go.”
You repeated your action a couple of times and after a while it became easier to breathe. The tears no longer spilled out without control. You pulled away from Matt, using your hand to wipe away the remaining tears on your face before placing it on his cheek.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m still trying to understand what happened.”
You’d been so focused on your own emotions you hadn’t stopped to think about how horrible the ordeal had been for Matt. He’d had to rely solely on his hearing since he couldn’t see which meant that to him it just seemed like things had gone quiet all of a sudden.
“I think we should sit down.”
“Okay.”
Matt followed you to the sofa in Foggy's office. Your heart stung as you entered the room knowing that Foggy must have had the same fate as Karen. Once you were both settled in you started telling Matt what had happened at the cafe. He listened to you, his brown eyes keeping eye contact the whole time you spoke.
“So they just disappeared?”
“Actually it's more like they…like they turned to ash.”
“So like they were being burned from the inside?”
“I thought that too but it would have to hurt a lot to be burned into ash. And none of them screamed. Karen just looked….”
The image of Karen's features flashed in your mind causing you to close your eyes. Matt felt the unease in your body language so he placed his hand on top of yours. You interlaced your fingered with his and gave his hand a squeeze as if to say “thanks”.
“She looked scared. It was almost like she was seeing something that the rest of us couldn’t. I don’t know, it's just insane. You think any of your contacts might know what is going on?”
“I don’t know. Most of us are just in the small league. This sounds like something…”
“Something like?”
“Like the Avengers would deal with.”
“You don’t have Tonys number by any chance do you?”
“No. Like I said, my contacts are all vigilantes. We aren’t friends with superheroes.”
“Well, the news will have something soon. If any of them are left anyway.”
Matt stayed quiet for a second two long for your liking. You gave his hand a squeeze to get his attention.
“You alright?”
“I stopped hearing his heartbeat.”
You frowned at the pain in Matt's voice.
“He was there and then he just…wasn’t.”
“Oh Matty, I can't imagine how panicked you must have been.”
“All I could think about was you. We dealt with a lot of shit together and yeah we’ve had some close calls. But I could always hear you. Hear your heart beating somewhere. For the first time i…thought I lost you.”
Matt knew he had feelings for you but he couldn’t risk putting you in a dangerous position because of his own emotions. The people he loved were targets for his enemies so he decided to keep whatever he felt for you a secret. That way you’d be safe. Safe from him and his double life. Even when you found out that he was Daredevil he decided against confessing to you. He preferred you oblivious and safe than aware and in danger. But now seeing that things could change in milliseconds and there was nothing he could do to stop it he decided it was better if you knew.
“I couldn’t help Foggy but I hoped I could get to you in time. I hoped I'd save you.”
“Matt, it's not your fault. None of this is your fault. You couldn't have known and you couldn’t control it.”
“That’s the problem. I can’t control any of it. My whole life has just been one proof after another that I don't know what tomorrow will bring. It’s my life but it’s not up to me when it will end.”
“Matt, don't talk like that.”
“The point is there is no time like the present. I don’t know everything but I know that I want you by my side. No matter how short or long my time is. No matter what tomorrow brings, I want you with me. Even if-”
You pulled Matt into you as you latched your lips onto his. You’ve loved him for years. You’d die for him but most importantly you’d live for him. And given all that had just happened you’d realized that life was much too unpredictable to not live in the moment. So you kissed him like it’d be the last time and he kissed you back.
The years passed. You and Matt moved in together and eventually Matt had proposed. You missed your friends everyday but life had to go on. The firm remained as full as ever. It seemed not even a near apocalyptic event could make people respect the law. Matt kept living his double life and you helped him however you could. If that meant patching him up, that's what you did. And if it meant hacking into some snob's security system you were the person for the job. The world kept going as if nothing had changed but everyone knew things would never be the same as before. And then, just when you thought things had gotten back to normal(the new normal anyway) you got a call.
You’d picked up the phone like every other time it started to ring but once you’d flipped it over to see the caller your heart nearly stopped. Matt heard the irregularity in your breathing from the other room and made his way to you.
“What is it honey?”
“It’s…uh..It’s Karen.”
You swallowed harshly.
“Karen’s calling me.”
Matt was about to suggest that maybe someone else had gotten her phone number, it had been years after all. But just as he was about to speak a familiar sound started coming out of his phone.
“Foggy Nelson. Foggy Nelson. Foggy Nelson.”
You let out a gasp. One person getting Karen's number was a normal probability. Someone getting Foggy's old number was a normal occurrence. But both of you getting called at the same time by your friends was too great of a coincidence. So the calls could only mean one thing. They were back. Your friends were back. And so were other bilions people.

Guess who just started rewatching daredevil all over again.....hi it's me (I'm the problem it's me). I literally started rewatching daredevil. When I watched it for the first time I already declared it to be the BEST SERIES. I don't know and I don't think so there's anyone as crazy as me for daredevil. It's literally so much more than just a series. And I remember I started making a digital painting of the very cute catholic advocate Matt Murdock. And I still haven't completed it yet but this time I will complete it.
I just love it when I rewatch stuff I just find things that I somehow ignored previously. Some dialogues, some details or some references. It just makes me so happy. Matt Murdock is love 🫶🏻.

The Red Room - Pt. 1 (Matt Murdock x Reader)
MASTERLIST // JOIN MY TAGLIST
Tumblr media
Summary: While on surveillance one night, you get interrupted by a strange man wearing a Devil costume. When he offers to help you escape the Red Room, the offer is too good to pass up.
(Warnings: guns, physical fighting, cursing, references to psychological torture, eventual smut lol, references to reader's life as a Black Widow, reader threatens Matt, reader doesn't know Matt is Daredevil, this is somewhat of a divergence from the canon story, watch me make shit up about the Red Room)
Part 2 Part 3 - Coming Soon
You perched on the edge of the rooftop, gargoyle-like in your hunched posture as you watched your target skitter across the alley below you. The infamous grey patches in his hair stood out in the blanketed darkness, and the drunk stagger of messy footsteps echoed around you. He was older than he looked in his picture, but it was definitely him.
“Target acquired.” You whispered into your telecom, reaching for the pistol strapped to your hip.
“Do not engage, Widow. Tail him and wait for further instructions.”
You halted, furrowing your brow.
“Sorry, you’re saying to not shoot him?”
“Affirmative.”
You shrugged, still confused but unwilling to express your curiosity. If you came across as too interested, they’d subject you to another round of “training”, and the last thing you wanted was a doctor to brainwash your personal thoughts away. It’d taken you long enough to snap out of their original training, and you weren’t too eager to go through that again.
“Copy that.”
You jumped down from the ledge onto the gravel rooftop and wiped your palms on your thighs. It didn’t matter to you whether your target was dead, but it was strange that they sent such an experienced Widow on a surveillance mission. The guy was so intoxicated that he could barely walk upright, which meant that for the time being, your new home would be the roof. You muted your telecom and began pacing, working through a familiar plan in your head.
The Red Room was the only place you’d ever been able to call home. It was the place where your earliest memories were coagulated. While other kids dreamt of rainbows and birthday parties, you spent your days in combat training, learning tactical skills, and when you got old enough, sparring girls in matches that would end in either victory or death. You had been lucky enough to come out the victor of these matches, but there was always a cost, and it was always at the expense of another Widow.
It didn’t hurt, couldn’t hurt anymore, but you repeated their names like a mantra as you paced. The ability to express emotions had been brainwashed out of you before you could talk in complete sentences, but it had been years since you’d seen the doctor, and unbeknownst to Dreykov, you’d been independently thinking for over a year now.
Your goal, the reason you were always so eager to leave the Red Room and enter the field, was to find your birth parents. You had almost nothing to go on, other than the story that they’d been feeding you since you could remember. According to Dreykov, your mom was nothing more than a junkie that left you on the steps of a firehouse as an infant, but you’d been having dreams for months about a woman that looked just like you, and you were determined to find her.
“Do you always talk to yourself when you’re spending time on sketchy rooftops?”
You swung around, heart pounding in your chest as you readied yourself for an attack. You’d been so caught up in your planning that you hadn’t been focused on the noise around you, and for the first time since you’d become a Widow, someone had successfully snuck up on you.
Opposite you stood a tall, costumed man, covered from head to toe in red. Horns adorned the top of his masked head, and the smirk resting on his face was the only section of skin that you could make out in the darkness.
“Do you always sneak up on women in the dark?” You barked back, aiming your gun at his head.
“Only when they’re wearing more lead than clothing.”
You cocked your head, eyeing him with distaste. “You can’t possibly know that.”
“I’m right, though, aren’t I?”
You scoffed at his arrogance, but you couldn’t deny that he was right. You were wearing a lot of weapons. Every Widow did when they were on assignment.
“What do you want?” You narrowed your eyes at him.
“Who do you work for?” He returned.
It quickly devolved into a game of cat and mouse, and you weren’t planning on losing.
“Why do you care?”
“Is it Fisk?”
“Is it?”
“You work for Fisk?”
“What’s it to you?”
He swallowed, and you knew you had him, though you weren’t expecting him to lunge at you so quickly. You side stepped, narrowly avoiding the punch aimed at your face. You brought the butt of your gun down, aiming for the vulnerable skin of your attacker’s face. He was almost as fast as you were, catching your hand when it was millimeters away from striking his jaw and using your own momentum against you to knock the gun loose from your hold.
You didn’t give him a chance to catch his breath. Within seconds, you’d swung your leg out, catching the tip of his foot and causing him to stumble towards you. You brought your fist up, colliding knuckle with jaw in an uppercut that would knock any normal person out cold for hours. Apparently, this guy wasn’t normal, because the only outward sign that the punch had affected him was the slight shake of his head as he steadied himself.
It didn’t matter. You already had another gun in your hand, and this time, you’d shoot first and ask questions later.
“Wait.” His voice echoed around the rooftop, and for the second time that night, you hesitated. He held his hands out in front of him, a silent plea not to shoot. “You’re one of them, right? One of the Widows?”
You blinked. There was no possible way this random, costumed idiot knew anything about the Red Room. How could he? It was one of the most guarded secrets in modern history. But clearly, he knew something, and that meant he had to die. You rolled your shoulders, willing the hesitancy to leave you so you could bury this distraction and get back to your business.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
You cocked the gun, finger itching to pull the trigger. He panted, breath billowing out around him in the cold air. Why couldn’t you just pull the damn trigger?
“You were taken when you were a girl, and you trained in the Red Room, right?”
You froze, chest growing tighter with every breath you took. “You are barking up the wrong tree, dude.”
“I like this tree, I think.” A small grin crossed his face, but turned grave again quickly. “I have a – I mean, my friend is a lawyer.”
“So?” You sent him an incredulous look. This guy was all over the place.
“So, he’s helped an ex-Widow get out before. He could help you too if you want.”
Your breath hitched. Black Widows didn’t get to just leave the Red Room. You were in it until death, and there were no loopholes. You’d checked.
“That’s impossible.”
Your mind whirred with possibilities. He could be lying, but what if he wasn’t? What if he was telling the truth, and you could really escape? Was this all an elaborate plan to throw you off your game before he killed you? He did attack you first, but only after you feigned employment with the man he called ‘Fisk’.
Your ear piece crackled, and you nearly jumped out of your skin before remembering that you’d muted yourself earlier.
“Status report, Widow.”
You eyed the man in front of you. He shifted his stance, leaning ever so slightly toward you, almost like he was listening to your conversation. But that would be impossible, right?
“Widow. Report.”
You kept your gun aimed at the man and reached to unmute your telecom. This inconvenience could be cleared up so easily. All you had to do was mention the man in front of you to the man on the telecom, and a dozen Widows would be at your location in minutes. But what he’d said had managed to crawl under your skin. You wanted, no – needed to know more.
“Nothing major to report. The target is in the diner on 42nd. He’s heavily intoxicated but sobering up. Should I move in?”
“Negative. Hold your position. Your heartrate spiked on our monitors.”
“Oh.” You tried to feign innocence. “One of the residents of the building came to the roof to smoke. I ran so they wouldn’t see me.”
“Did you follow protocol?”
“Yes. It’s been handled.”
“Hold steady, Widow.”
You muted your comm again, narrowing in on the man you were still aiming your gun at.
“Is it normal for Widows to lie to the Red Room?” He asked, cocking his head.
“How do you know about the Red Room?”
“I told you. My friend’s a lawy-”
“No,” you interrupted, “How do you know about the Red Room.”
“My friend and I are…very close.” He shrugged.
“Your friend should learn to keep his mouth shut.” You finally lowered your gun, satisfied that he wouldn’t be attacking you again. “Any other Widow wouldn’t have hesitated to shoot you in the head. After torturing your friend’s name out of you, that is.”
“But you hesitated.” He pointed out, lowering his hands.
“I need the name of your lawyer friend. And I need to know that you won’t rat me out if I let you leave this roof alive.”
“You’re going to get out?”
“I’m going to try.” You shrugged. “The name, Devil-Man. And your word.”
“Nelson & Murdock. They’ll meet you where you’re at, and they’ll know what to do next.” He held out a business card. “And, I give you my word that I won’t tell a soul about our meeting tonight.”
You reached forward, gripping his wrist and pulling him towards you. Your faces were inches apart and the knife you always sheathed in your sleeve was pressed against his neck.
“If I find out that you said anything to anyone, other than your lawyer friend, I will gut you like a fish. Is that clear?”
He smirked. “Crystal.”
“Good.” You plucked the business card from his fingers and pushed off of him, apathetic towards his ability to stay upright. You leaped onto the ledge of the building, searching the diner for your target. Your eyes narrowed on the hulking mass of a man asleep in his omelet in one of the booths.
Yep. It’s going to be a long night.
A/N: Okay, this was originally a request for one fic but I definitely wayyyy over thought it and now it's a series. It'll probably be like 5-7 parts, will definitely be smutty, and will hopefully do Matty some justice. I already have part two written, and I'm hoping to get that edited and published before Monday. I hope you enjoyed! Also, this series has been added to the tag list request form, so if you'd like to update your preferences or fill out a form to be added to this series' tag list, click here!

you had not seen or spoken to either of you parents after the absolutely atrocious way they treated you and matt.
and you had not missed their impact on your life.
you and matt had been incredibly happy with your relationship, as you had been before you ever told them you were together.
everything was good.
until your dad decided to pay matt a visit to try and talk him out of dating you.
you were at work, and matt was working on a case at your apartment because they were having some work done at the office, and he thought it odd to hear a knock on the door in the middle of the day.
he just assumed it was a package and thought nothing else of it, hoping they would just leave it at the door.
but when he heard his name in your fathers angry tone he whipped up from his place on the couch
" what are you doing here ? " matt questioned, knowing you wouldn't be too happy with your dad showing up at your shared flat.
" i came to talk about your relationship with my daughter. "
matt could not stop the audible sigh from leaving his lips.
" i have nothing to say to you about y/n. " he said, keeping his frame blocking the door so that he couldn't come in.
" matt, she is 22 years old. she's too young to know what she wants and it's disgusting that you want to take advantage of her. "
matt could feel the blood boiling in his veins and tired his best not to let his fist fly into your dad's jaw.
" i am not taking advantage of her. she is an adult. she knows what she's doing and what she wants. " his words were strained, not wanting to yell and disturb neighbours.
" she's half your age, murdock. you need to end this with her. she is too young to know what proper love is and you are sick for encouraging her to think you love her. "
that was the last straw for matt.
" she is the love of my life. i spend half my time loving her and the other half hiding how much i love her because of assholes like you who judge something they know nothing about. goodbye "
he shut the door in your dads face, sitting back down on the couch and letting out a sigh of frustration.
he didnt end up getting any work done until you walked in through the door, brining some joy back into his day.
