Legend Lake: Chapter 1
Charlie Gillespie X Fem!Reader
Series MasterList
Summary: You bring your boyfriend of three years with you to your grandparents lake house for the first time.
Warnings: None that I know of. (Let me know if you see any and I'll add them!)
Inspo: Miggie Snyder's song Legend Lake.
A/n: If you want I can start a taglist.
You jumped in placed excitedly waiting for your boyfriend to bring down the bags. You stood holding Koa. It was only 5 am.
"Hurry up Char!" You exclaimed. "I know koa daddy is taking so long." You said in a baby voice to the puppy.
"Hey! Stop talking bad about me to my own dog." Charlie said coming out carrying the two suitcases. "Besides why couldn't you get your own bag?"
"Because I was handling Koa's things." You rolled your eyes before bending down to put the small dog in his carrier.
"Okay... Let me just get my guitar then we are ready to go!" Charlie smiled. You nodded picking up the dog carrier and grabbing your bag.
"I'll meet you in the car."
———
You groaned at the sound of your phone ringing. You rubbed your eyes sitting up in your seat, looking at Charlie.
"Hey sleeping beauty." He chuckled.
"Hey." You mumbled before answering the phone. "Yeah?"
"Hey! I heard mom talking to you last week and it sounded like Charlie is coming with you too the lake?" You hear your little sister ask.
"Why Charlotte?" You asked.
"Well is he?" Charlotte asked, you could just hear the smirk on her face though.
"Yeah do you want to say hi?" You asked before turning the phone on speaker letting Charlie listen in.
"Hey charlie!" Your oldest brother, Theodore said.
"Charlotte was that a set up!" You exclaimed.
"Yep." She laughed.
"Hey Y/n." Gavin, your other brother said.
"Hey guys, say hi to Charlie I guess."
"Hey Charlie!" Was chorused through the phone.
"Hi guys!" He's talked to them on the phone before either when talking to you or when you facetimed him on prior trips.
"So your finally bringing him I thought you were too scared after you brought Jackson when you were in high school." Charlotte said.
"Oooh who's Jackson?" Charlie teased.
"You haven't told him yet!" Theo exclaimed through the phone.
"No I haven't... Now I will have to Okay bye see you soon." You said before hanging the phone up after letting them say bye. "Jackson was just a jerk I dated sophomore year." You told your boyfriend.
"He's the reason you didn't want me to meet them in person."
"One of them. It's fine how far are we from Wisconsin?" You asked.
"We're in Wisconsin angel." He smiled at you.
"Oh.. Lets go to a rest stop I need to use the restroom and then we can switch. You're gonna need sleep to be able to handle my family."
"Okay." He agreed with a yawn.
———
"Welcome to the best place on earth!" You said happily climbing out of the car.
"I thought that was Disney world?" Charlie asked opening the backdoor to grab Koa.
"No that's the happiest place on earth."
"Oh... Where is everyone?" Charlie looked at the empty area he assumed was for cars.
"They aren't coming until tomorrow. We got here a day early. It's fine now I can give you a tour and we can sleep." You told him.
"Okay. Should we call and tell your family we got here safe?"
"Uh yeah I'll do it after the tour." You said pulling the bags out of the trunk while Charlie grabbed his guitar case. "Follow me!"
"Of course." He smiled following onto the porch of the large lake house. "Are your grandparents rich?"
"Huh? Oh no my grandpa inherited it from his dad who inherited it from his dad who built it." You explained, "now we just keep up the maintenance on it." You shrugged.
"Oh so is there a room for everyone?"
"Well no, I'll explain there's six bedrooms so each of the parents get a room, my parents, my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle. And then my sister, Theo and his fiance share a room, then you and I share with Gavin and his girlfriend, while my cousin Dale, his wife, and their son have their own room." You explained.
"Oh okay." Charlie smiled as the two of you walked into the house. "Woah." He gasped looking around.
"See best place on earth!" You said setting the bags down. "Let Koa out."
"Okay." Charlie let the puppy out. Koa went running around the open space. "So tour?"
"That's the stairs, the kitchen, dining room, living room." You said walking in farther. "Okay this is the best wall in the house, family photos." You pointed at the wall filled with family photos all taken at the lake.
"You take one every year?" He asked.
"Yeah, you'll be in this year's photo." You said looking at the photos before changing the subject. "Uh that's me as a baby." You pointed at the photo of your family.
"You were so cute! And that's Dale, Theo, and Gavin?" He guessed pointing to the three young boys holding you in the photo.
"Well yeah but that one is Theo and that one is Gavin." You switched his guesses. "Okay back with the tour." You walked away Charlie followed.
—
"And finally our room. We get the top bunk." You smiled lifting Koa.
"Cool." He laughed looking at the bottom bed pulling at the curtain. "Does the top bunk get a curtain?" He wiggled his eye brows. You rolled your eyes lifting to set Koa on the top bunk before climbing the ladder.
"No we have this." You grabbed a pop up bed tent that hides between the mattress and railing when not being used. It light yellow littered with puppies and cats on it. You've had it since you were little.
"This place is nice you should've brought me sooner." Charlie laughed climbing up and laying with you and Koa.
"I guess so. Let's just get so sleep." You rested your head on his shoulder with a yawn.
Taglist: no one so far.

Eye See You (2002)
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
Formulaic, contrived, dull and confusing, Eye See You (released as D-Tox outside North America) stinks of re-writes and re-shoots. Shelved for 3 years as it underwent endless changes to try and give it some kind of market value, I bet most people haven’t even heard of it despite a cast that includes Sylvester Stallone, Kris Kristofferson, Robert Patrick and Dina Meyer!
FBI agent Jake Malloy (Stallone) is pursuing a serial killer with a grudge against cops. When he stops them at great personal cost, Malloy falls into a deep depression and attempts suicide. Sent to a rehabilitation program designed for law enforcement officers by his best friend, Agent Chuck Hendricks (Charles S. Dutton), several bodies suddenly turn up. It appears the killer may have survived.
The first problem are the characters, which are so flat, unmemorable and so hurriedly introduced you cannot keep track of who’s who. I could’ve predicted the identity of the killer easy if I weren’t scrambling to figure out which staff members of the facility are still alive and which aren’t, or if that dead body was the bald dude with no lines, the depressed junior officer who just told us his tragic backstory in detail, or that guy played by Mif (is that right?). Even by eliminating the characters who are so obviously set up as antagonists they can’t possibly be villainous for real, there are so many people waiting to get butchered you can’t pinpoint how the ending will go. I don’t mean that in a good way.
Eye See You is one of THOSE serial killer films, the kind with a gimmicky murderer who is so intelligent and meticulous in his planning he must be a mind reader, or the luckiest person on Earth. For a large chunk of the film, director Jim Gillespie wants us to think the killer is dead when in fact, he’s followed Malloy to the rehab center to torment him some more. How did the killer know Malloy was going there? Was he always planning on eliminating one inmate after another, or is it just happy coincidence that a freak storm breaks out, cutting all communication to the outside world and trapping everyone indoors?
Even before then, things don’t add up. The killer’s gimmick is that he likes to drill through people’s eyes, usually when they’re looking through the peephole of their front door. He strikes with (apparently) the same weapon as the “Driller Killer” because it cuts through everything like it was butter and so quickly his victim can’t pull their faces away. How he knows, they’re looking through the peephole when he’s pressing his tool against it, I don’t know. So yes, he’s needlessly cruel. I mean following that up with calls telling Malloy “I see you” and leaving the same message under the corpses eyelids? It means he's killing people for the puns. Talk about inhumane. Then he follows it up by hanging his victims – apparently the man’s the fastest knot-tier in history.
During the last few minutes, Eye See You tumbles headlong down the stairwell of stupidity, transforming into an incoherent mess of an action scene whose conclusion is magnificent. I can’t believe I haven’t seen it done elsewhere. It’s the kind of braindead, ultra-macho kick in the pants you’d expect at the end of those violent and nudity-filled low-budget drunken action flicks as the electric guitar solo ends. I laughed loud and hard, which was certainly not the intended reaction.
You won’t see the ending of Eye See You coming, but only because it sets up the characters so badly and because you won't know just how dumb this film is until the conclusion. (On VHS, March 26, 2018)

Almost Paradise ( Owen Patrick Joyner Fic )
Hey everyone! This story is gonna be a Owen Patrick Joyner story and I will be pairing the reader with Owen, so I’ll put Y/N anytime the main character is mentioned or is talking. This is my first story since high school so please bear with me as the writing will slowly become better the more I write. I hope all you fellow Owen simps like myself like this story. FYI this story takes place if COVID 19 never existed. Please check out my best friend Sydney ( @imsydneywalker) for cute Charlie Fics. Love Yall.
Summary: Y/N just turned 22 and decided to make a spontaneous trip to L.A California USA from Dieppe,New Brunswick, Canada to visit her best friend Charlie Gillespie for her 22nd birthday present to herself. He doesn’t know she’s coming, hence the surprise. But little does she know would she get a little surprise of her own on her way to America.
Chapter 1: Someday
House outfit: https://urstyle.fashion/styles/2814065
*Week before Reader’s birthday* 2021
Y/N’s thoughts: It has been forever since I’ve last seen my best friend Charles Jeffrey Gillespie or how I like to call him Arlo *as I hold onto the necklace he gave me for my 15th birthday*. Weird nickname I know, but I’ve been calling him that since kindergarten and I’m not changing it. It’s almost my 22nd birthday so I felt like I should treat myself to a present of seeing my best friend for a little while. Momma bear doesn’t know yet but I don’t think she’ll care as much since she loves Charlie as one of her own kids, so just taking a trip cross country shouldn’t be too hard to tell her. Right? Let’s find out.
*Y/N walks down to the kitchen from her bedroom*
“Hey mami,” Y/N says as she sits on one of the barstools, popping a green grape and dipping it into nutella into her mouth.
“Yes Y/N nickname?” Y/N’s mom says in a what do you want tone, while finishing cleaning up the kitchen after dinner.
“What?” Y/N asks.
“I already know you want something. You never come back downstairs after dinner unless you’re getting a snack or you want something. I’m your mother, remember.”
“Damn, that predictable huh? Anyways, yes I wanted to ask you something or more like tell you something. So I was thinking for my 22nd birthday I could possibly fly down to America and see your adopted son for a couple weeks. You know I’ve been wanting to move down to L.A so why not go for my birthday. I’d obviously stay at Arlo’s, money shouldn’t be an issue since I’ve been saving plus birthday money from past years. Sooo?” Y/N finishes saying while looking at her mom with puppy eyes.
“You already bought your plane ticket didn’t you?” your mom says while staring at you with one eyebrow raised.
“.... maybe…. no actually, I wanted to see what you’d say first before splurging.” Y/N says while looking down at the bowl of grapes and looks up again to smile cheeky at her mom.
Your mom rolls her eyes and laughs. “ Sure, why not. Do you want me to call Maman J so she can tell Charlie?” your mom asks.
“No no, I want it to be a surprise. It’s kind of a birthday present to myself since Arlo decided to be like “ I wanna be an actor and blah blah blah”. You say mimicking him.
“Alright, well as an early birthday present, I’ll buy your ticket. Should I make it a round trip or a one way?”
“Ummm make it a one way trip, I’ll let you know when I want to come home. You know Arlo, he always has some random hiking trip he wants to take, and knowing him he might drag me to one of those trips” you say rolling your eyes.
“No problem. You better go upstairs and start packing.” your mom says.
*You dip one last green grape into nutella and pop it into your mouth before you hop off the bar stool to give your mom a kiss* “You’re the best mami!”
*You run back to your room and start planning the whole trip*
*5:30pm One day before reader’s birthday and your flight*
*you're sitting on your bed finishing up some last minute packing, when you hear a knock at your door.*
“Come in.” Y/N says without turning around.
“Hey hun.” your mom says.
*you turn around to face your mom* “Hey mami, whats up?” *you say while sitting on top of your luggage trying to close it*
Your mom chuckles, “Here is your plane ticket for your flight, it's at 5:55am, you have a connecting flight to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma which will have a connecting flight to L.A.X.”, your mom says handing you the tickets. “So you better finish packing and get some rest.”
*You reach for the tickets while trying not to fall of your luggage* “Awesome, thanks mami.”
“No problem, just get some rest ok. I will drive you to the airport.” your mom says while walking out of your room.
“Ok!” you yell through the door. *You finally got the luggage to close* “YES!” you say standing up on the edge of your bed but then proceed to fall off your bed in the process which leads to a loud thud hitting the floor. “I’M OK!” you yell before your mom asks.
You place your luggages and carry ons by your door and start getting ready for bed. You look into the mirror one last time and stare at the picture of you and Charlie at the waterfront, ( https://www.instagram.com/p/B-suC_WF8Cu/) ( just pretend its yall, I know its like his cousin or friend)
“L.A.X I’ll see you tomorrow.” you say to yourself before walking to bed.
*Reader’s birthday* 3:00am
Airport Outfit: https://urstyle.fashion/styles/2813992 (girl on the left is what your hair looks like)
*your phone goes off at 3:00 am with the song I See Fire by Ed Sheeran playing from your phone softly.*
*You groan annoyingly wondering why you’re up so early, when you realize it is your 22nd birthday and you have a flight to catch in two hours. You spring out of bed, pop your airpods in and blair The OtherSide from The Greatest Showman and begin getting ready for your long day of flying*
*Dancing towards your bathroom, you turn on your shower to warm up and start brushing your teeth. You lay out the outfit you will be wearing to the airport on your bed, take out your headphones and head into the shower.*
*20 mins later. You hear a knock on your bathroom door*
“Almost done sweetie?” your mom asks.
“Yes, I’m just finishing up, I’ll be down soon.” you say through the door.
*Because you’re going to the airport you didn’t put too much makeup on, just enough to make yourself look kind of awake on the flights. You put your hair in a messy bun, put on your jean jacket, take one last look in the mirror before you shut off the light and head out.*
*You look around your room to make sure you grab any last minute items for your carry on. Especially making sure you have your Beats, charger, spare hair elastics and gum. You go to grab your luggage when you realize your mom already did and placed them in the car. Best mom ever. You grab your guitar case and your bag and head out.*
*Skip the car ride, you’re already at the airport*
“You’re sure you have everything right?” your mom asks while taking the stuff out of the car.
“Yes, I promise, I have everything I need. If I forgot anything important I will call you and have it shipped to Arlo’s.” you say while closing the trunk of the car.
“Alright, have a safe trip hun, please be safe and try not to get Charlie in too much trouble ok?” your mom says while hugging you goodbye.
*GASP* “ HEY! I’m a good noodle, Arlo’s the one who dared me to jump in the fountain at the mall. You know me I could never pass up a good dare.” you say while breaking the hug.
“Haha, yes I know which leads you to getting sick. Remember, it was winter.” your mom retorts back.
“ Yeah yeah I know, I’m still a good noodle though.” You chuckle while grabbing your stuff again.
Your mom shakes her head, “Go before you miss your flight silly.” She says while turning you around.
“Ok, ok I get it you want me gone.” You say laughing while walking towards the automatic doors.
“OH SWEETIE!” your mom calls out.
You turn around. “Yes?” you ask
“Happy Birthday!” your mom yells in front of everybody.
You stare at her like really. “Thanks mami. I love you too”
*You walk inside the airport and walk towards the check in line to check in all your luggages.*
*Skip to you’re already on the plane before take off.*
*You check your phone for the time, plug in your Beats, place them on and hit shuffle before. You look out the window watching the sun just barely starting to rise before you close it and begin to read your book, for the next 4 hours.*
*4 hours later*
*You finish up one of your books, you pull off your headphones just in time to hear the pilot announce that you guys are about to land. You place your book and headphones back into your bag and prepare to land.*
* You get off the plane and check the time on your phone to notice that your connecting flight is almost here and you begin to panic. You check your ticket and realize that of course your flight is on the other end of the terminal, so you begin to run and book it to the other end, hoping you’ll make it on time.*
“Excuse me! Sorry! Sorry! Excuse me!” you say as you weave through airport traffic.
*Half way through your running spree you look down at your phone again to make sure you didn’t miss your flight when you feel your arm get tugged from behind you. You notice one of yours and someone else’s luggage clipped each other by the wheels and they both go flying. “Sorry, my bad.” you say as you grab a luggage, not even looking up to see who you collided with and go back to your sprinting.*
“Yes!” you say to yourself as you make it to your gate. The flight hasn’t boarded yet so you take a seat and wait for your row to be called. You get to your gate, hand the lady your ticket and proceed to board your flight.
*You place your carry-on luggage into the overhead bin and take your seat, when you notice a very sweaty guy just barely making it onto the flight. You chuckle to yourself.*
*3 hours later*
“Alright passengers, we will be landing very shortly. The weather today is 89 degrees, partly cloudy, and 40% of humidity. Welcome to Los Angeles, California passengers.” the pilot announces over the intercom.
*You place your headphones back on, and calmly this time walk off the plane and head towards baggage claim*
*As you’re waiting your favorite song Someday by Max Schneider starts to play. You begin to sway back and forth, humming to the tune when you then feel a tap on your shoulder. You turn around to see who it was and begin to stare at him weirdly wondering why you can’t hear the guy talk*
“Oh shit, my bad. Forgot.” you say as you take off your headphones to actually hear what the guy was saying.
“It's cool, all I was saying was that I was sorry for colliding with you back in Oklahoma. I wasn’t paying attention, I was in a rush and didn’t see you. It wasn’t until after that I noticed that the gate was in the opposite direction.” A dirty blonde guy explains to me.
“Oh no, it was totally my fault, I should have been looking up instead of on my phone. I guess we were both in a rush. But hey, I like your jean jacket. Pretty dope.” I say to him.
“Right back atcha.” he retorts.
*Awkwardly stands next to each other waiting for your luggage to arrive*
“Welp, that's my luggage. Have fun in L.A.” The guy says as he grabs his other luggage and heads towards the exit.
“Thanks, you too crash buddy.” you say back.
*you grab your luggages from the conveyor belt and pull to the side so you’re not in the way of people. You go to open one of your luggages to make sure nothing spilled on the flights/crash over, when you notice that the things in one of the luggages isn’t yours.*
“Shit, I must have accidentally switched luggages with that guy back in Oklahoma.” you say to yourself as you look around to hopefully see if he is still around.
*You close up the luggage, and begin to gather your things and head towards the exit, hoping the guy hasn’t left the airport yet. You get to the exit, head outside and don’t see the guy you bumped into.*
“Damn it!” you say defeated, “How will I ever get my stuff back? What a way to start off my birthday.”
*You get an uber and head towards Arlo’s place*

Across their respective runs, there was a surprising amount of overlap between Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place — here's a breakdown of the actors that appeared on both shows. Dan Goor and Michael Schur created Brooklyn 99, a police procedural comedy series. Premiering in 2013, it ultimately ran for eight critically acclaimed seasons via Fox and then NBC, winning countless awards along the way. Set in the titular New York City precinct, the series primarily followed the adventures (and mishaps) of Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), and Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher).
Conversely, also created by Schur, The Good Place followed Team Cockroach - a.k.a Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper), Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil), and Jason Mendoza (Manny Jacinto). Alongside the all-knowing Janet (D'Arcy Carden) and the reformed demon, Michael (Ted Danson), their misadventures took them through the various realms of the afterlife. In the process, they explored numerous philosophical ideas and what it truly meant to be a good and moral person. The equal parts hilarious and emotional series ultimately ran for four seasons, concluding in early 2020.

Given Schur's involvement with both shows, it's perhaps less surprising that they shared significant overlap. The themes were measuredly different and the core cast remained disparate. Still, many guest stars crossed streams to appear on both shows. Those appearances ranged from recurring, fan-favorite characters to subtle one-off appearances that might have flown over the heads of even the shrewdest viewer. Whatever the case, here's a breakdown of all 29 actors that starred in both Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place across the show's multiple respective seasons.
Mantzoukas debuted as the titular wildcard detective in Brooklyn 99 season 3, episode 17, "Adrian Pimento". Fresh out of an undercover assignment, his struggle to reconnect with mainstream society was hilariously unfurled through several episodes across multiple seasons. Despite his relationship with Rosa coming to an end, he remained a loyal (if mercurial) friend to the officers of the 99. Over on The Good Place, he played a malfunctioning android named Derek. Built by Janet in order to get over Jason, he debuted in The Good Place season 2, episode 7, "Janet and Michael." Though Derek and Janet's romance was equally short-lived, he again recurred throughout — with Derek achieving a God-like final form by the show's end.
The Emmy-winning Saturday Night Live alum first appeared in The Good Place season 2, episode 11, "The Burrito." As the afterlife's all-powerful Judge, she recurred throughout the series as equal parts friend and foil — depending on the influence of Timothy Olyphant. On Brooklyn 99, Rudolph guest-starred in the two-part episode that opened season 4. She played Karen Haas, the U.S. Marshal in charge of Jake and Holt's stint in witness protection. Though a stickler for ensuring that every facet of their cover stories had been memorized, she often blurred the lines between personal and professional. That was most hilariously characterized by using her "pop quizzes" to get advice on her marriage and affair with a younger man named Marcos.
As the husband of Captain Raymond Holt, Jackson's Kevin Cozner has been a mainstay since he debuted in Brooklyn 99 season 1, episode 16, "The Party." Though stoic to the point of being cold, he still stood as a far cry to the more overtly villainous Shawn. Jackson first appeared as Shawn in The Good Place season 1, episode 11, "What's My Motivation." Initially posing as The Judge, he was soon revealed to be the head of The Bad Place. Much like how Kevin warmed to Jake Peralta and the rest of the 99, Shawn's demonic ways eventually softened — with him ultimately aiding the heroes in the creation of a new afterlife system.
Related: Brooklyn 99: Why Holt & Kevin Never Kiss (Despite Being Married)
Cordero debuted as Jason's trusted right-hand man in The Good Place season 1, episode 4, "Jason Mendoza." As Steven "Pillboi" Peleaz, he recurred throughout the rest of the show's run — right up until the series finale, having made it to the titular realm in his own right. The actor has actually emerged as one of the most prolific of Schur's collective shows. In terms of the adventures of the 99, Cordero appeared in Brooklyn 99 season 4, episode 22, "Crime and Punishment." As a hacker nicknamed Pandemic, he attempted to aid Terry and Boyle in exonerating Jake and Rosa when they were framed for a series of bank robberies.
The veteran comedic actor first appeared in Brooklyn 99 season 5, episode 10, "Game Night." There he played Devin Cathertaur, a division leader with the Cyber Crimes unit. After affecting the precinct's internet, he repeatedly toyed with the detectives. He's ultimately put in his place by a briefly returning Gina Linetti. He would later debut as Chuck in The Good Place season 3, episode 10, "The Book of Dougs." As a member of the inept committee for the unsurprisingly disappointing Good Place, he helped to manipulate Michael into taking over the running of it.
Daly guest-starred as Jeffrey Bouché in Brooklyn 99 season 4, episode 17, "Cop Con." At the titular convention, the character was introduced as a rival to Captain Holt. Despite seeming initially kind-hearted, it's later revealed to be a facade that hid a devious sabotaging streak. Daly later appeared as Dave Katterttrune in The Good Place season 3, episode 6, "A Fractured Inheritance." Coincidentally, the episode also centered on whether or not certain characters were generally good or merely posing as such. Unlike Bouché, however, Katterttrune was every bit the warm and good-natured family man that he initially seemed.
Offerman guest-starred in The Good Place season 3, episode 8, "Ava." There, he played Captain Holt's ex-boyfriend, Frederick — with whom remained lingering animosity regarding an antique decoy duck. Regardless, he ultimately helped in the birth of Terry and Sharon Jefford's third daughter: Ava. Offerman later appeared in The Good Place season 4, episode 13, "Whenever You're Ready." He was glimpsed mentoring Tahani in woodwork as she sought to craft the perfect chair and complete a truly epic to-do list. Though fans speculated that he may have been playing Ron Swanson, a character from Parks & Recreation, also created by Michael Schur. Offerman was credited as playing a version of himself.
Related: The Good Place: Why Mindy St. Claire Ended Up In The Medium Place
As the sister of Doug Judy (Craig Robinson), Byer debuted as Trudy Judy in Brooklyn 99 season 6, episode 5, "The Tale of Two Bandits." Initially believed to be a straitlaced nursing student, it's ultimately revealed that she followed in her brother's past criminal footsteps. As well as indulging in internet scamming and con artistry, Trudy had taken up Doug's mantle as the Pontiac Bandit. She later reprised the role in subsequent episodes. As well as that, she was reutilized by Schur in The Good Place season 3, episode 10, "The Book of Dougs." There she played Gwendolyn, a cheery and naive employee of The Good Place Correspondence Center.
Jama Williamson: The actress played the demon Val on multiple episodes of The Good Place and Teddy's girlfriend, Rachel, in Brooklyn 99 season 4, episode 13, "The Audit."
Joe Mande: As well as writing and producing on the show, Mande recurred on The Good Place as Todd Hemple. On Brooklyn 99, he appeared twice as Amy's informant, Isaac.
Anna Khaja: Khaja played Tahani's mother, Manisha Al-Jamil, on The Good Place. She also played Dr. Theresa Moore on Brooklyn 99 season 6, episode 11, "The Therapist."
Amy Okuda: Okuda starred as The Bad Place torturer, Gayle (a.k.a Jessica) on The Good Place. She also appeared twice as Terry's ex-girlfriend, Chiaki, on Brooklyn 99.
Seth Morris: The actor played Eleanor's former boss, Wallace, on The Good Place. He also starred as Agent Piln on Brooklyn 99 season 2, episode 15, "Windbreaker City"
Fran Gillespie: Gillespie played the demon Megan in two episodes of The Good Place. Meanwhile, she played Sheena in Brooklyn 99 season 6, episode 11, "The Therapist."
Jamie Denbo: Denbo played Chef Patricia on The Good Place season 1, episode 4, "Jason Mendoza" and Hillary on Brooklyn 99 season 1, episode 11, "Christmas."

The connections between what's come to be known as the Schurniverse grows exponentially with the inclusion of The Office and Parks & Recreation. As things were left, however, it proved an impressive collection of recycled actors. Given the talent demonstrated by each, it's more than understandable why such a decision was made. With Schur sure to produce plenty more offerings in the future, it'll be interesting to see how the overlaps and connections expand. In the meantime, the surprising amount already offered by The Good Place and Brooklyn 99 will no doubt give fans something else to look out for on their next rewatch.

Legend Lake: Chapter 7
Charlie Gillespie X Fem!Reader
Series MasterList
Summary: You bring your boyfriend of three years with you to your grandparent's lake house for the first time.
Warnings: None that I know of.
Inspo: Miggie Snyder's song Legend Lake.
Charlie stuck his tongue out at the young baby. Carter giggled clapping. Your smile couldn't be hidden seeing your boyfriend and your nephew be friends is so sweet.
"You're so in love." Aubrey laughed sitting next to you. "I've never seen you this head over heels." Unlike Melody, and Camilla you've known Aubrey your whole life. Her dad is your dad's friend so you guys were always around each other. And she ended up falling in love with your brother so that's interesting.
"Shut up." You groaned pushing her. "He's perfect though. He's good with kids, he's funny... ugh I found the man I want to marry."
"That's great! Do you think he'll propose on this trip?"
"I hope so."
"What're we talking about?" Charlotte asked sitting with you too.
"What do you think of Charlie?" You asked your baby sister. It was important to you that your family likes whoever you marry.
"He's cool. He stole my nickname though." She scoffed. "And embarrassed me when I was talking to my girlfriend but he's alright."
"Wow glad to see you like him." You laughed.
"Like who?" Charlie walked over, Carter on his shoulders, and Koa following close behind.
"No one." You shrugged.
"Mhm. Y/n wanna come for a walk with me, Carter, and Koa?" Charlie asked you.
"Sure." You smile.
"You two are disgustingly cute." Charlotte scoffed before walking away.
"You're just jealous!" You shouted to her. "Let's go!"
———
"Do you think we'll ever have a little one for Cadter to play with?" Charlie asked you smiling before adjusting the baby on his hip.
"Definitely. They'd have your amazing hair, and my amazing personality." You joked.
"Eh I don't know your personality on a toddler might be a bit- ow! I'm joking!" He gasped as you smacked his shoulder.
"Whatever." You rolled your eyes.
"Seriously! A toddler with your sass would be cute." He assured.
"You're so believable." You laughed rolling your eyes.
"Your aunt is so mean to me." Charlie cooed to Carter.
"He's my first cousin one removed." You said taking your cousins son.
"But he's gonna call you aunt so does it matter?" Charlie raised an eye brow.
"No. But either way. A kid with your hair would be adorable." You changed the subject.
"Yeah. I was an adorable kid." He nodded.
"I was talking about our kid we don't have not you." You scoffed.
"Oh. Well I was cute." He gave you an adorable smile.
"Sure you were."
"And so are you!" He assured.
"Your so cheesy." You laughed.
"Oh you know you love it!"
"I do." You pecked his cheek before continuing your way toward the water. "Just imagine, coming to the lake with our baby. Oh man! The photos of them and Carter together swimming and stuff would be so cute."
"That reminds me when doing you guys usually take the family photo?"
"It just depends. I think Melody brought her camera so she'll just set it up and we'll take a photo in front of the lake house like every other year. But your be on the end."
"Why?"
"Makes you easier to photo shop out if we break up."
"What??" He looked at you slightly offended.
"No I'm joking." You assured laughing.
"You better be." He said.
"Maybe."
"Me and Carter are leaving this is unacceptable." He said dramatically taking Carter from you and storming off.
"That's not the way home!" You shouted watching him walked away.
"I knew that." He said turning around and going the opposite way.
You laughed shaking your head. At least he's good with kids. You thought before following them with Koa.b
