Day 84/100 of the 100 Days of Productivity Challenge

things are really spicing up in my academic life rn so i dont have too much time to update this challenge, because it requires so much single minded attention to compile the day's jobs done when my days start at 6am and end at 2am most days. lmfao

productivity tho is skyrocketing atm. so much so that im missing out on most f1 qualis and i have not watched a single practice session. but my boys charles and max are fighting shitboxes like the goats they are. gonna watch the spa race bc my fav track. hoping for a charlie win.

fingers crossed for my research team to win gold at the international competition we're working for because i have sacrificed so much time, energy, sleep and mental soundness to this lil bbg i won't be able to take disappointment at this point.

Yes I love me a good milkshakes but im not obsessed with them or anything (cant stand strawberry tho). My dad has been making absolute bangers of milkshakes for as long as I can remember so it was a cold beverage I grew up with a lot. This also means i'm very judgy about my milkshakes so I don't drink them unless i'm sure they're gonna be good.

@maxcuntstappen's I Loved You Before I Knew I Was Supposed To holds a special special place in my heart. Lav, being the absolute majesty they are, did a phenomenal job with it. It's so tender and soft and sweet i can't get enough of it. I've read it enough times to narrate it scene-by-scene. I wish I could read i again for the first time ( I would gladly slam a cardoor on my hand for it). Something about it makes me wanna hug Lav and cry. (CHECK OUT LAV'S OTHER FICS TOO THEY'RE ALL AMAAZING AND SO WORTH THE READ AND RE-READ)

Right Where You Belong by @amarynas is another absolute fav. This remains the fic to which i cried the most without a doubt. It's so fluffy (lets ignore the absolute heart attacks it gave me for amin here) and RWYB Max is an absolute loser boyerfriend (affectionate) and I wouldn't want it any other way. Also shoutout to Cisca for making Charles so tenderly fierce. It was a treat.

Long Live (The Walls We Crashed Through) is a fic i'm an absolute sucker for (sue me, i'm weak for the bsfs to lovers trope). It's so tender and nice and heartwarming and I wish I could read it again for the first time.

Never in a million years would I have thought I'd read Chef AUs, but here we are Grapefruit Mignonette and Give Me That Fire are both Chef/Restaurant AUs that truly slap. They're both so well written and give you an amazing insight into the industry while keeping you in a chokehold the entire time.

Red, White & Orange-Nassau and Homeward Bound by @f1-giuki are OMLLL. They're both so good it's insane. They give me sm comfort i wanna cry. The found-familyness of it all has me in such a strong chokehold and i don't ever wanna come out of it.

Meet Me In Montreal is a series by my legend @bumblewyn that i absolutely love. It's a pretty quick read (it's all mini fics that averages at 2kish words per work, hence why the series) and a constant reminder about these two's inability to be normal about each other with a side-dish serving of angst.

I'm pretty sure there are so many gems out there i've missed mentioning bc i have the memory-span of an octopus (fun fact if you havent figued it out; octopuses are the animals with the shortest memory span of just 3 seconds) but yeah. RIP to all the other amazing fics out there that i've read and adored but simply can't remember atm, i hate my brain too (and i suck at bookmarking or saving my favs so here we are). (P.S. All these writers have more amazing, amazing fics that i've not mentioned so do check them out if you haven't)

2. out of the above (if more than 1), who’s your fav to make gifs for and why? Ah, that's a tricky one. It really depends on what I want to gif, because I do it rarely and just whenever something really triggers my creativity. I don't think I have a favorite one.

The first one is a Lewis gifset and I like the fact that it's very simple and I think I've captured the beauty of this man. I think people are a little bit blind and delusional about their blorbos because the reality is that maybe one more person on the current grid will become a wdc. So everyone thinking their fav will get a championship, I’m sorry, but they probably won’t. There’s 34 wdc since 1950. There’s no way every second person will manage to get one.

Reality is also that most of the teams will drop their fav drivers in a few years if they don’t win a championship because new talent will come in eventually. Ferrari probably won’t resign Charles after this if he doesn’t manage to win a championship. They’ve dropped drivers for less tbh. He might be their il predestinato today but it won’t last if he doesn’t get a championship. Ferrari expects loyalty but they rarely give it back. Look at Kimi, Alonso, and Seb. Where was the loyalty then? Alonso gave more of a fight than Charles currently is. And yeah the team is fucking up, but it’s Ferrari and they will never blame themselves. Charles has the longest contract in F1 history, and not a lot to show for it…

Merc will probably get their shit together at some point, and they’ll prioritize George at that point if Lewis isn’t in the team anymore. But Merc won’t sign a driver to sit next to George that isn’t a Bottas or a Perez. Toto can’t handle another silver war and won’t sign someone that will take it to George.

Lando and Ocon will have spent the majority of their careers in a midfield team without a very impressive resume. Perez got signed by a top team because although he wasn’t in a top car he still had a very consistent track record in both qualifying and in races. Lando and Esteban can’t say the same.

Pierre will most likely have his last season in f1 next year. He had a spot in a top team and bottled it. He couldn’t handle it.

Alex will most likely continue in a backmarker team like Haas or Williams and not get a chance to move up. He’s been at the top and didn’t succeed. It’s a black mark on your track record. That goes for Alex and Pierre.

Yuki, Mick and Zhou I don’t have much of an opinion on. Yuki will most likely stay as long as there’s a Honda engine in F1. He’s part of formula dreams. I also don’t see Red Bull kicking him out of the program considering how long they held on to both Daniil and Pierre. There’s clearly an issue between Mick and Haas so idk if he’ll stay. But I have high hopes for Zhou (if someone can just make that Alfa last the entire race, please and thank you)

Animal The Cannibal / Jeffrey Ramses: He is a cuddler! The problem is, he just may... uh... nibble you. Not seriously! He's not gonna break skin, or anything! But... kisses to your shoulder might turn into nips, and you have to be careful to stop him before he... well... loses himself.

Baby Firefly: YES. Always always always. She's so excitable and she loves you so much, she takes any chance she can get to give you a big old hug. Like- she sees the S/O? She throws her arms around the S/O. She's also the type to jump at you, whether your hands are free or not, and you need to catch her. She'll also be all over you to get on Otis' nerves, because affection nauseates him, but that doesn't mean for one second that she doesn't enjoy your cuddles at the same time as harassing her brother. She's a multitasker! XD

Billy Loomis: *Sigh*... He will, if he hassss to... Haha. Yeah, Billy's not interested in cuddles or hugs, unless he's throwing his arm around you to mark his territory.

Bo Sinclair: He kinda, uses his cuddles and hugs, as... manipulation. You get in when he's happy with you, but if he's pissed, he withholds all kinds of (Loving) affection. Meaning, he still fucks you tho.

Bubba Sawyer: Yes!! Man is touch starved!! Give him affection! Oh, how loves full frontal cuddles. Just go up to him (Preferably when he isn't holding his chainsaw), wrap your arms around his tummy, and bury your face in his chest. If you're sad, he'll open one arm and you know to walk over, and he wraps you up in both of his arms, and that warm coat of his, and tells you its all going to be okay. He'll make so.

Honestly Drayton has never gotten one lick of affection in his life, and it shows. Bubba may have tried but at that point he was too far gone. If you started to try, he would not know what to do. He doesn't want to be rude and rebuff you with an insult like he does his brothers, but also he doesn't really want it to happen. So he sorta shuffles away and tries (Very translucently) to distract you.

It will be a long process to get him to relax. He's very scared.

Debbie Loomis: Much like her son, she's just asking... why? What can you possibly have to gain from this? She's much more for kisses and sex. *Cough* She is keeping you at arms length, lest she feel weakened again like when her husband cheated on her, if you hurt her.

Dr Suave / Bradford Young: Yes hugs! I mean, he couldn't possibly withhold his hugs from you, could he? XD I mean, Dr Suave isn't totally full of himself... but he is a sociopath. He knows he's pretty, and he uses it. And he enjoys the heck out of it, too. The effect he has on you.

Freddy Krueger: He doesn't think they're a big deal. He doesn't like them (Because they mean nothing to him), so its rare that he would initiate, but he also doesn't dislike them so he wouldn't push you away- besides, if nothing else they're a good way to get close to you~ (; Haha

He thinks its hilarious though, hugging you with REALLY stretchy long arms. Or when you don't want him to touch you for some reason- in which case he'll chase you around for cuddles.

Inkubus: Not a huge hugger. But when you're sad, he will offer and for the time that you're there, hidden away in the blackness of his coat, you're able to hide from the world. He doesn't mind at all if you soak him with your tears.

Granny Boone: She's not hugely touchy feely in general- its not cuz of trauma or anything, its just her. Even with sex, she'd rather use a toy. So, the closest thing to affection you'll get is her holding your hand; Maybe to drag you somewhere, or maybe to show off that you belong to her. Her grip is tight.

Harper Alexander: If you have really gotten him to fall in love with you, he does like to be close to you ^^ So like, having you leant up against a wall with him standing nice and close in front of you, his hands on your hips, waist or face, and you two are just whispering to each other- stuck in your own little world. // In bed at night he likes to face you and play with your hair.

Jason Voorhees: He's not SUPER affectionate, like Bubba, he isn't indifferent towards it like Freddy, and he's also not disgusted by it like Michael. He's touch starved definitely, and has learnt to rely on himself only in every way, but when he meets you he cant help himself. He just really likes to have you strewn across his lap every now and then, just listening to quiet forest around you and the lake close by. Even as he keeps a keen eye on the surrounds, to make sure you're both safe.

Jedidiah Sawyer: Not used to cuddles but he has to admit- he's a fan. Loves to climb into bed at the end of a hard day and have you curl up to/around him.

Luda Mae Hewitt: She's quite traditional. Wrap your arms around her and lean your chin on her shoulder while she's cooking, putting your hands on her waist when you kiss her, and let her play with your hair as you're falling asleep. She'll be so happy.

Max Grief: Oh my god, he is the most touch starved person ever. Don't go too fast because he'll freak out and shut down but carefully lay down with him at bed at night, hide your hands under his shirt and let him pull you in closer. Eventually he'll learn to absolutely love having you on his lap, too.

Mayor Buckman: When I think of him I think PRAISE, as far as affection goes. But if we're talking cuddles... I think he would like to have his arm around your waist a lot in public, and he'd like to pull you close to his side quite a bit like a bit of sweet arm candy to make him more approachable (which is not to say that's the only reason. He also likes it ^^)- but anything more then that (Like throwing your arms around his neck or spooning), especially in private, is likely to become sexual, quick. He's very thinly restrained as a person.

Mental Manny / Manuel Dyer: Loves to show you off, and have you close to his side for the simple reason that is physical affection links a person to another. Manny's a cult leader, and he knows how to make someone fall in the kind of love with him that makes them set themselves on fire, if he asked. So, he'll have his arm around your waist, he'll have you set in his lap at dinner, he'll have you rest your head in his lap when you're tired, he'll hold your hand walking, etc.

Michael Myers: If you ask to cuddle or for a hug, this man will look at you deep in your soul, like 'Do you realise who you're talking to?'. Cuddles will turn sexual with him, too. And QUICK. Because he cant take the squirmy feeling he gets when you're soft/gentle with him.

Sheriff Hoyt / Charlie Hewitt: Not a big cuddler, at all. He does show that he loves you- but with words, gestures (Little ones, like getting you out a plate as well when he's getting himself one) and kisses. Stuart Lloyd: I can see Stuart being touch starved. He seems very lonely, to me. By choice probably, but that doesn't mean that once he has someone he wants around- he wont act absolutely starving for affection. The Deathslinger / Caleb Quinn: Wont really touch you, unless you touch him first- especially with anyone else around, he's pretty traditional that way XD And also he's not too used to having a relationship, like you do. One that's going to last; Not just some tart, in a motel room, for 50 bucks and hour. He likes to sit close to you though when you're alone and play with your hair, or sit you in his lap if he's feeling more frisky.

Probably s1 ep1 because it made me start the show. s2 ep1 was absolutely fucking amazing too. But all episodes of Sherlock are so🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Listen all three seasons of skam españa are absolutely amazing and wonderful and even tho I would vote s1 out first I'm really not able to choose between s2 and s3. A season about a young bisexual girl falling in love with with a girl for the first time?? A season that represents MI?? And most importantly a season that lets characters speak for themselves?? I👏🏼👏🏼absolutely👏🏼👏🏼love👏🏼👏🏼to👏🏼👏🏼see👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼it!! But also s3 representing a feminist girl falling into and getting herself out of a toxic and abusive relationship, while being supported by other strong girls and this season calling out society for how women are being treated here? Absolutely amazing, breathtaking and revolutionary, never seen something like this before and this season was a fucking masterpiece. Periodt!!

s3 ep7 always and forever. Lucas opening up to others about his struggles for the first time after what feels like years. Mika telling Lucas that he shouldn't go back into the closet and the "Live your life and to all those idiots who have a problem with that; fuck them" speech. Lucas' friends being supportive as shit doing their best so Lucas feels comfortable and knows that they love and support him just the same and that nothing's changed💕 Yann apologizing to Lucas for not only leaving him right after he came out to him but also for all the times when he made fun of him or called him "gay" as a joke in the past. Yann telling Lucas that he knows that he was in the wrong and had no right to be mad at Lucas because he understood that it was his fault that Lucas didn't trust him sooner👏🏼👏🏼 Lucas apologizing to Chloé for using her👏🏼👏🏼 and finally Lucas and Eliott getting back together🎨 after Lucas finally accepted himself. Legendary. Wonderful. Brilliant. If I could only watch one episode of one show for the rest of my life I would always choose this one.

Ugh that's hard because skam nl and skam españa are both remakes that follow the same storyline but I'm gonna say skam españa because they really changed their Noora season storyline and I will always love the fact that they decided that a story about a teenage girl getting out of a toxic and abusive relationship has more importance than just another love story. Love skam nl tho!! Really I love both seasons of skam nl and even prefer this remake about skam españa but their storyline changes were *chef's kiss*

Y'all, Pieter Cross is another dc superhero - one of my favs.

This lovely accented doctor, Pieter Anton Cross, is none other than Doctor Mid-Nite (the second). here's some pics (the first is w his bffl/platonic life partner Michael Holt aka Mister Terrific)

Pieter graduated from Harvard Medical at 19. He's essentially the Hero Community's go-to doctor for everything.

"Doctor Mid-Nite is the world's most prominent superhero doctor. He is often called upon when an autopsy is needed, or when a hero needs major surgery."

Ye, he's had to autopsy his dead friends :( he also does casual checkups. Powergirl goes to him for her check ups and to keep an eye on her powers. He's done a bunch of life-saving surgeries on not only the heroes but ALSO their loved ones! He performed surgery on Lois Lane after she got shot. When Hush removed Catwoman's heart from her body, Doctor Mid-nite and Mister Terrific were able to successfully put it back in and save her.

You not only want him in ur corner when ur hurt, u need him. There's none better! Imagine the sheer amount of crazy powerful allies he has bcus he saves all sorts of heroes and their loved ones! U don't attack the healer unless u wanna get fucked up by the rest of the squad, right? U also don't piss the healer off unless u wanna suffer, right? Same energy, fam. It helps that he can perform surgery flawlessly in the fuckin pitch dark.

He's disabled! In fact, Doctor Mid-Nite is credited as the first disabled superhero in comics! They're talking about Charles McNider, his predecessor, but Pieter Cross is also disabled. He's blind. I won't go into his whole origin but suffice to say he was unwillingly drugged and it caused him to go totally blind except for in the absolute dark.

He can only see in the dark and/or with his specialized lenses iirc. He carries smoke grenades that cause absolute blackness (think vanta black bombs) bcus he can see just fine in it and others can't. Any attack that involves having to see the attack (think Medusa's gaze) doesn't work on him cus he's conventionally blind. HOWEVER when he can see, it's fuckin crazy. Eagles got nothing on how sharp his eyes are in the right setting. Like we're talking super vision.

Those funky lenses on his cowl? They're to let him see in the light. It's kinda like infrared goggles and can let him see ultrasonic as well. Without his tools, he can't see. He got his sight back once and hated it bcus he could no longer work the way he used to.

Doctor Mid-Nite has his own website where he provides free medical advice to registered users.

He's Norwegian-born. (That's his accent in that YJ ep)

Him and Mister Terrific are the bestest of friends (I felt the need to reiterate bcus they're Besties for Life. Read 1 comic with them in it and you'll see what I mean)

HE HAS A PET OWL NAMED CHARLIE!! He named him Charlie after the first Doctor Mid-Nite, Charles McNider!! He's trained to aid Pieter in combat! Attack owl!!! Batman has his Robins, Mid-Nite has owl sidekicks!

I really wonder how Once Upon a Time In Hollywood plays for someone who doesn’t know the real story.

For me it really hit all my favorite things- old hollywood, schlocky 60s tv and movies and the charles manson/tate story.

It’s surpringly about nothing. Not really but we mostly watch people do stuff without any real set up or consequence but I could have honestly watched 3 more hours of these characters. The second act just did it for me and was honestly some of favorite movie watch of the year.

But...

SPOILERS

The ending was exactly what I predicted and it made me happy but somehow it kinda brought the movie down to only 4 stars to be honest. It weirdly makes the movie more empty and it just purely felt like a bad end to this story. It could have been tighter and given more weight than just a revenge on the manson killers. Maybe it’s there but I haven’t noticed it. I really wonder how the movie is gonna affect me after second viewing.

Sharons character feels so unbelievably useless because of the ending. The set up with her is brilliant and I didn’t mind her being a background character to be honest. But the conclusion makes her feel useless in the whole scheme of things which is just a strange decision. Margot tho has Sharon down to a T.

All in all a great watch and exploration about late 60’s culture and the end of the peace and love era that just misses the mark with the ending. Still probably my fav QT movie cause I’m just not the biggest fan of this guy.
