Regaining Confidence: DAF’s Cancer & PCOS Hair Camps by a Top Charity Foundation in India
Battling cancer and chronic conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) does more than just take a toll on a women’s health – it has a deep and profound effect on her self-esteem, confidence, and sense of identity.
One of the most devastating side effects of cancer and PCOS is hair loss caused because of treatments and hormonal imbalances. For a woman, hair loss can be very depressing and leave her feeling vulnerable. Even though there are celebrities who are proudly going bald with cancer treatment, in the underserved sections of society it is still a stigma. For millions of women battling these conditions, hair loss is a daily reminder of their struggles.
The Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF), a Top NGO in India, understands that healing from chronic conditions takes time and goes much beyond just clinical intention. Understanding the emotional scars caused by hair loss, DAF and QR678® have created a compassionate initiative: Hair Camps for Cancer and PCOS patients and survivors.
Tumblr media
These camps are not just about the free hair regrowth therapy; they are means of restoring dignity, and confidence, rebuilding self-worth, and reigniting hope. DAF, in collaboration with QR678®, has launching this campaign to help underprivileged women deal with this silent suffering. Among the top 10 NGO in India, DAF has organized 24 PCOS camps in Mumbai and helped countless women.
The pain of hair loss
In our country, hair is tied to identity, femininity, masculinity, youth, and vitality. Loosing hair to PCOS or cancer triggers
Feeling of self-consciousness
Social withdrawal and a feeling uncomfortable stepping out
Depression and anxiety
Persistent body image issues because of hair loss
Scared that they will not get marriage prospects, or jobs and hence it affects mental health
Fear that since they cannot afford specialist treatment, they will have to go through their lives getting blad
PCOS affects one in five women in India. Best NGO in Mumbai, DAF conducts regular camps for women in collaboration with QR678® to reduce the symptoms of female pattern hair loss in patients and with it, self-worth and confidence.
World PCOS day: DAF and QR678® Special Event
On 2nd September 2024, the best NGO in India, DAF, organized a special camp for women that provides more than clinical support – it gave them dignity, a home, and the transformation they have been craving for. These camps were completely free, and top dermatologists, trichologists, oncologists, psychologists, and compassionate volunteers gave their time and expert guidance to make this camp a success.
DAF’s Cancer & PCOS Hair Camps: healing from inside out
The camps held in Mumbai were attended by many women, and it provided
Free counselling sessions which discuss and guide on both emotional and physical aspects of PCOS
Hair regrowth therapy using QR678® which is an internationally patented and clinically proven hair restoration and regrowth formulation
Interactive sessions with dermatologists, trichologists, and fertility specialists to answer their doubts about hair regrowth and how simple lifestyle changes can aid hair restoration
Empathy-focused support which created a safe space for women to talk about their feelings and the struggles
More than 30 women attended this camp and walked away with a renewed hope.
Women: One strand at a time
Camp was held on 8th December 2024, which was the 5th PCOS hair regrowth camp at Jayprakash Nagar, Walkeshwar, which was attended by 10 women.
What makes QR678® special?
QR678® is a revolutionary hair regrowth therapy developed by Dr Debraj Shome and Dr Rinky Kapoor, it is a patented formula whose results are backed by 16+ years of research and 13 clinical trials. Its benefits include
It stimulates hair follicles naturally and boosts hair growth
Improved scalp health
Reduces hair thinning caused because of hormonal imbalances
QR678® has a high success rate and is backed by global patients as a treatment for hair problems for men and women. QR678® has sponsored the investment with over ₹8 lakh and has clearly demonstrated its commitment to good hair health for all, social responsibility, and women empowerment.
PCOS and QR678®: Early Detection Matters
QR678® conducted an in-depth study titled “Uncovering the Hidden Link: PCOS and Its Impact on Hair Thinning and Loss” which revealed startling facts:
28% of women who come for treatment of FPHL were diagnosed with PCOS
Hair loss is one of the first outward symptoms of PCOS diagnosis
Hence, the DAF camps for PCOS hair loss are not just a means for making treatment reach the poor women; it is also a means for essential early intervention and better health outcomes for women.
Transforming Lives, One Strand at a Time
Kirti Pandey, Manager at DAF, beautifully summed up the spirit of the initiative:
"This event is a testament to our belief that small efforts lead to big changes. By addressing overlooked symptoms of PCOS like hair loss, we are taking a significant step towards holistic women empowerment."
Speaking at the event, Dr. Rinky Kapoor, Dermatologist and Director, DAF, said:
"Hair loss is more than just a cosmetic issue; it’s a visible reminder of broader health struggles. By providing free hair loss treatment, we aim to restore not only hair but also the dignity and confidence that these women deserve."
PCOS and cancer hair camps are not just for cosmetic benefits- they help instil the voice of sureness in women and help them step back into the world with their heads held high with grace and dignity.
Final thoughts: Healing Hair and Glowing Hearts
For women facing hair loss because of PCOS and cancer, regaining hair means a beacon of hope, dignity, resilience, and confidence. Innovative partnerships like the best NGO in Mumbai 2025, DAF and QR678®, are touching the entire communities because when the woman feel seen, strong, and beautiful, she transforms the lives around her.

Where Can We Find Free of Cost Medical Treatment in India?
Introduction: The Healthcare Dilemma in India
India’s healthcare story is a tale of stark contrasts. On one hand, you have world-class private hospitals, and on the other, long queues at government facilities. For millions, the rising cost of medical treatment in India can mean choosing between food and medicine. But hope isn't lost. There are beacons of compassion and care—places offering free of cost medical treatment in India, where health isn't a privilege, but a right.
Tumblr media
Why Free Medical Care Matters
Healthcare isn't just about curing illness—it's about preserving dignity. Access to free of cost medical treatment in India empowers individuals to live healthier lives without spiraling into poverty. It’s a necessity, not a luxury.
The Rising Cost of Medical Treatment in India
Over the past decade, private healthcare expenses have surged, often bankrupting families. From diagnostics to surgeries, the cost of medical treatment in india has ballooned, making affordable healthcare a critical issue that needs immediate addressing.
Government Hospitals: Lifelines for Millions
Government-run hospitals remain the backbone of free healthcare in India. Facilities like Safdarjung Hospital (Delhi), JJ Hospital (Mumbai), and Stanley Medical College (Chennai) serve lakhs of patients annually, charging little to nothing.
AIIMS – A Benchmark for Free Healthcare
AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) is not just a hospital—it's a symbol of accessible excellence. Known for providing high-quality care, surgeries, and complex treatments at zero cost, AIIMS stands as a pillar of free of cost medical treatment in India.
State Government Initiatives for the Poor
From Tamil Nadu’s CM Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme to Delhi’s Mohalla Clinics, states are stepping up. These schemes offer surgeries, diagnostics, and medicines free of cost, especially for those below the poverty line.
Ayushman Bharat – Health for All
Launched in 2018, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is India’s largest health assurance scheme. It offers up to ₹5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care—completely free at empaneled hospitals.
Charitable Hospitals and Trust-Based Institutions
Places like Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai), Sankara Nethralaya (Chennai), and Ramakrishna Mission Hospitals offer high-quality treatments often at zero or subsidized rates. These institutions combine medical brilliance with a mission of compassion.
NGOs Transforming Rural Healthcare
Organizations like Doctors For You, Smile Foundation, and Karuna Trust bring healthcare to India’s remotest corners. Through mobile clinics and rural camps, they offer free medical treatment to communities long neglected.
Jan Aushadhi Stores – Affordable Medicines for Everyone
While not hospitals, Jan Aushadhi outlets are revolutionizing access to medicines. Offering generic drugs at 50-90% cheaper rates, these stores are essential in reducing the cost of medical treatment in India.
Metabolism and Weight Loss – Free Advice and Government Programs
Government programs like Fit India Movement and Yoga Day camps focus on improving metabolism and weight loss through free workshops, physical training, and dietary advice—laying a foundation for healthier communities.
Integrating Fitness into Free Healthcare
Hospitals and wellness centers now emphasize preventive care. Free yoga sessions, group workouts, and nutrition guidance are being incorporated into hospital campuses to encourage holistic well-being.
5 Best Fitness Apps to Download in 2025
Even when hospitals are far, your phone can help. Here are the 5 best fitness apps to download in 2025 that offer free plans and trackers:
FitIndia+ – Offers personalized yoga and cardio plans.
HealthifyNow – AI-driven diet tips and progress tracking.
WalkMate – Tracks steps and offers rewards.
MySwastya – Blends Ayurvedic wisdom with modern fitness.
MetaFit365 – Focuses on metabolism and weight loss through micro routines.
Bridging the Gap: Future of Free Healthcare in India
Public-private partnerships, AI-based diagnostics, and community health worker training are set to transform free of cost medical treatment in India. The goal: zero denial of care.
Final Thoughts: Hope on the Horizon
While challenges persist, India’s landscape is dotted with silent warriors—doctors, institutions, and innovations working tirelessly to provide free of cost medical treatment in India. Health is wealth, they say—and thankfully, in India, that wealth is slowly becoming more accessible to all.

What is the Net Worth of Tata Group?
Tumblr media
Tata Group, a global conglomerate founded in 1868 by Jamsetji Tata, is one of the largest and most influential business enterprises in the world. Headquartered in Mumbai, India, the group spans a diverse range of industries, from steel, automotive, and information technology to telecommunications, consumer products, and hospitality. With its vast portfolio, the net worth of Tata Group has been a subject of intrigue for business analysts and enthusiasts alike. Let’s explore the components that make up the colossal net worth of Tata.
1. Tata Group's Structure: Public vs. Private Ownership
Tata Group is unique in its structure compared to other global conglomerates. Unlike most large companies, it isn't controlled by a single person or a family but rather by charitable trusts. Tata Sons, the holding company of the group, owns major stakes in most of the Tata companies, with 66% of Tata Sons' shares being held by the Tata Trusts, charitable organizations that fund various social and educational initiatives in India. This charitable structure means that while the group generates substantial wealth, a significant portion of it is reinvested in social causes, rather than being accumulated by individual owners.
2. Revenue and Financial Overview
The Tata Group is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, with its various companies operating across six continents. For the fiscal year ending March 2023, Tata Group’s combined revenue across its companies was reported at around $150 billion. However, revenue alone does not determine the net worth. Tata's net worth is derived from the value of its assets, brand equity, market capitalizations, and other investments, both in tangible and intangible forms.
3. Market Capitalization of Tata's Key Companies
Tata operates over 100 companies in different sectors, but a few key players contribute substantially to the group’s overall worth. These are some of the largest and most profitable Tata companies: - Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): TCS, one of the world’s largest IT services companies, holds the crown for Tata’s highest-valued entity, with a market capitalization of over $140 billion as of 2024. TCS alone drives a large portion of Tata Group’s value, generating significant revenue and profit margins from global IT services. - Tata Steel: One of the oldest companies within the group, Tata Steel has a market cap of approximately $20 billion, making it one of the world’s leading steel producers. Tata Steel’s global operations, including its significant presence in Europe and India, add substantial value to the conglomerate. - Tata Motors: As the parent company of Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors is another major player in the automotive industry. Its market cap is around $25 billion, with global operations in passenger cars, trucks, and luxury vehicles. - Titan, Tata Power, Tata Chemicals: These companies, each valued in the billions, also add to the diversified portfolio of Tata Group.
4. Brand Value
Beyond tangible assets, Tata Group’s brand value is one of its greatest assets. According to Brand Finance, Tata’s brand value is estimated to be over $25 billion, making it one of the most trusted and recognizable brands in India and globally. The group's reputation for integrity, innovation, and philanthropy enhances its worth on multiple levels.
5. Philanthropic Legacy and Tata Trusts
Tata Trusts' stake in Tata Sons and their involvement in charitable causes means that a significant portion of the wealth generated by Tata companies is funneled into social programs, education, healthcare, and community development. This philanthropic legacy does not diminish the group’s financial power but rather reinforces its commitment to the betterment of society, distinguishing it from many other corporate giants.
6. Total Net Worth Estimate
Estimating the exact net worth of Tata Group is complex due to its vast size and diversified holdings. However, most analysts agree that the group’s combined assets and market value make its total net worth well over $300 billion. While Tata Group itself is not listed on any stock exchange, the market capitalization of its top listed companies like TCS, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and others provide a significant portion of this estimate. Additionally, the group’s global real estate holdings, investments, and other assets further contribute to its financial standing.
Conclusion
Tata Group's net worth, exceeding $300 billion, is a testament to its leadership across industries, its commitment to innovation, and its unique business model that prioritizes philanthropy as much as profit. Despite its vast financial power, the group remains committed to its founder’s vision of social responsibility, with much of its wealth being reinvested into the community. As Tata Group continues to expand and diversify, its financial stature and societal impact are likely to grow even further. Read the full article

In a significant step towards promoting water conservation, the Hinduja Foundation (HF), the philanthropic arm of the 110-year-old Hinduja Group, has successfully restored Hannikallu Marsh, a critical wetland in Wellington, Coonoor. This vital freshwater marsh, spanning over 12 acres, has been rejuvenated as part of HF’s flagship CSR program, Jal Jeevan, in collaboration with the Indian Army’s Madras Regimental Centre (MRC) and the Station HQ at Wellington.
The newly restored Eco Park was officially inaugurated by Mr. Paul Abraham, President of the Hinduja Foundation, alongside Brigadier SK Yadav, Commandant of the MRC, during a meaningful ceremony. Hannikallu Marsh, which has long been under pressure from human interference, including garbage dumping, encroachment, and sewage disposal, now stands revitalized. The wetland's restoration has led to the recharging of both shallow and deep groundwater aquifers, benefiting over 25,000 residents in the area by ensuring a steady water supply and reducing evaporation losses.
The restoration required extensive planning and effort. Care Earth Trust, the project’s NGO partner, conducted a comprehensive biodiversity assessment, identifying and removing invasive alien plant species from 33,167 square meters of the wetland. The area was subsequently rejuvenated by seeding healthy vegetation and creating islands to support local wildlife. The initiative also restored ten mountain springs that feed fresh water into Hannikallu Marsh and developed a 1.5 km-long peripheral walkway upstream. Furthermore, 2,000 cubic meters of earth was dredged, and a check dam was constructed to ensure the marsh's sustainability.
Ashok Leyland, a flagship company of the Hinduja Group, funded this critical restoration. Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Paul Abraham, President of the Hinduja Foundation, emphasized, "Water crisis is soon becoming a reality across India. According to government reports, by 2030, at least 40% of India’s 1.3 billion population may not have reliable access to drinking water. Our flagship cause, Water Stewardship, aims to save Every Drop."
Brigadier SK Yadav, Commandant of the Madras Regimental Centre, added, "This project is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mission Amrit Sarovar to restore 75 water bodies in each district. The eco-park you see today was once a natural watershed with perennial streams, historically significant as a water point since the British era. With the invaluable support of Hinduja Foundation and other stakeholders, we have transformed this area into a thriving eco-park, symbolizing a commitment to rejuvenating our natural resources.”
Mr. Prakash Hinduja, Trustee, Hinduja Foundation and Chairman of Hinduja Group, Europe, also expressed his thoughts on the project, stating, "At Hinduja Foundation, we believe in nurturing the environment for future generations. The restoration of Hannikallu Marsh is a testament to our dedication to water conservation and our belief that collective efforts can lead to a sustainable and prosperous future for all."
Under the Jal Jeevan program, the Hinduja Foundation has positively impacted over 4 million lives across 1,110 villages in India over the past five years. Among its many water conservation initiatives, the Foundation has enabled groundwater recharge equivalent to over 3.8 million water tankers and provided safe drinking water equating to 31 million jerry cans. The restoration of Hannikallu Marsh is a shining example of their ongoing commitment to preserving India's natural resources.

What is Property Tax? A Complete Guide to Understanding Property Taxes
Tumblr media
If you own property in India, you are likely familiar with the term property tax, yet many might not fully understand its significance, calculation, and implications. Whether you own a home, office, or commercial space, this annual property tax guide will provide you with all the essential details about property tax, including its purpose, calculation methods, payment options, exemptions, and consequences of non-payment.
What is Property Tax?
Property tax is an annual tax levied by the local government or municipal corporation on real estate owners. It serves as a key source of revenue for local governing bodies to fund public services, such as:
Road maintenance
Waste management
Water supply
Parks and recreational facilities
Local law enforcement
For example, in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) collects property tax. This tax applies to both residential and commercial properties, with rates and calculations varying depending on the location and property type.
How to calculate property tax?
The property tax amount is determined based on the annual value or valuation of the property by the local municipal authority. Factors affecting property tax include:
Type of Property: Different property types—residential, commercial, or industrial—carry different tax rates.
Property Size: The larger the property, the higher the tax. This includes the built-up area, carpet area, or plot size, depending on local regulations.
Age of the Building: Older properties may attract lower taxes due to depreciation, whereas new constructions may have higher rates.
Location: Urban areas and prime locations often have higher property taxes than rural or less-developed regions.
Property Use: Properties used for residential purposes typically have lower tax rates compared to those used for commercial activities.
How to Pay Property Tax
Property tax can be paid annually or semi-annually, either through your housing society as part of the maintenance bill or directly to the municipal corporation. Most local governments offer online portals where property owners can check dues, make secure payments, and download receipts. For those who prefer offline methods or lack online access, payments can be made in person at the municipal office using cash, cheque, or demand drafts..
What are the Consequences of Non-Payment?
Failing to pay property tax can lead to serious financial and legal repercussions:
Penalties: Municipal corporations impose fines or interest on unpaid property tax. These penalties can accumulate over time, significantly increasing the amount owed.
Legal Actions: Chronic non-payment can result in legal action by the municipal authority, including attaching or auctioning the property to recover dues.
Restrictions on Property Sale: If property tax dues are pending, you cannot sell your property until all taxes are cleared. Municipal authorities require a tax clearance certificate for any property transaction.
Property tax exemptions in India
Certain properties or property owners may qualify for exemptions or rebates on property tax:
Maharashtra: Residential properties under 500 sq. ft. are exempt.
Senior Citizens: Some states offer discounts to senior citizen property owners.
NGO Properties: Properties owned by charitable trusts or NGOs might receive partial or full exemptions.
Why is Property Tax Important?
Paying property tax is a civic responsibility that benefits both the individual and the community. Here's why it matters:
Funds Local Development: Ensures the upkeep of public services and infrastructure in your area.
Maintains Property Rights: Helps maintain the legality of your property transactions.
Avoids Penalties: Timely payments save you from unnecessary fines and legal trouble.
Conclusion
Property tax is a vital part of property ownership in India. It ensures the proper functioning of local infrastructure and services while maintaining the legality of your property. By staying informed about your property tax obligations, exemptions, and payment methods, you can avoid penalties and contribute to your community's development. Always prioritize timely payments and take advantage of any benefits or rebates applicable to your property. Being a responsible property owner begins with understanding and fulfilling your tax responsibilities.
