In honor of me finishing the first season of superjail! I drew one of my favorites so far, Charise!! She's so sweet and I love her.

I sadly messed up her hair though, I didn't have the right color alcohol marker for it :((

But I am still really happy with it!

Little Game AU

Got this AU idea, it's inspired by the song: Bernadette by IAMX. It's mostly the tone of the song.

Superjail AU idea:

"Little Game AU"

An eternal game of hide and seek set in a Victorian mansion. Jared is seeker, Warren Davis (Warden) is hider. Jared is on the brink of insanity, trying to find Warren and take the ornate key to escape the mansion. Jared used to have a wife named Charise and a job. Warren is having so much fun so he can't have Jared die, so Jared gets fed every few days. The furniture is alive. Dressers get in the way when Jared is chasing after Warren, chandeliers fall too close and the rugs trip Jared during chases. Madam Alice is a moving painting, often interacting with Jared in her frame. She isn't helpful, but she's fun to talk to. The Twins are butlers that help Warren in being one step forward, spying on Jared and helping set up the feasts Warren holds for Jared.

Designs: Madam Alice: Black gown. Black floppy hat with veil, covering her eyes. Red hair is down. Fair skin. Pearl necklaces. White gloves.

The Twins: Butler attire. One (Rose) has a red rose in his breast pocket, smiles often, and always hides his hands behind his back. The other (Holder) never smiles, doesn't have a rose but he does have a towel draped over his arm, holding a silver tray of two filled wine glasses, one full of red liquid (wine), the other purple (grape juice).

Content warning for mentions of smoking and self consciousness about weight (idk how to word it better sorry)

• She is probably one of the least touchiest people you’ll ever meet. Unwarranted hugs and hands on her shoulders are her least favorite in particular. The only person she ever enjoyed being touched by was Nicky—they cuddled often. She misses it.

-To add to this, she gives the most awkward hugs known to man lol

• Struggles with body image, though somewhat less than she used to. Has a bit of a tummy but it’s hard to tell with the baggy jumpsuit she wears every day.

• Has a b*tchy resting face but really nice once you get to know her. She’s willing to sit down and listen to anyone vent, as she’s been through a lot herself.

• One of her favorite hobbies is cake decorating. She's not the best at cooking or baking, but when it comes to decorating desserts she knows her stuff.

• Also super into makeup art. She tried doing people's makeup for money but she didn’t get enough customers.

• Obsessed with keeping her hair shoulder length or shorter. She used to be fine with it getting long, but once she got older she’s terrified of growing it longer. Thankfully she learned how to cut her own hair at a young age (her mom didn’t trust barbers…)

• Says she’ll “listen to anything” but really loves nu-metal, grunge and alternative rock. Her favorites are Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, The Ramones, and Nirvana. She also likes Nickleback (oof) and Third Eye Blind but finds them hard to listen to anymore since those were Nicky’s favorites as well.

• Has a low, husky voice, mostly because it’s just naturally that way, but partially because of her history as a smoker.

• Her pet snake was named “Slither” and she had him from age 6 to 15. He was a rough green snake.

• She’s quite pale and sunburns veryyyyyy easily. She envies Nicky for how nicely he tans (proof: watch Stingstress, bro didn’t get sunburnt at all LMAO)

• Her closest friends are Bruce and Charise, they hang out a lot. She has a good relationship with her boss, the Mistress, though feels intimidated by her.

• As for everyone at Superjail, she mostly just finds them weird as hell. She thinks Alice is pretty cool though.

Superjail #4: “Ladies Night” | October 12, 2008 - 11:45PM | S01E03

In “Ladies Night”, Superjail experiences a collision with a space craft which tuns out to be Ultra Prison, a women’s correctional facility. The inmates are rough, tough, and sexually intimidating (what I mean by this is they are sexy cartoon women, but I’m trying to say it in a way that is nice). Ultraprison has gender-swapped versions of the Superjail personnel; they even have a lady Jailbot and an F to M transgendered head prison guard. Tension is high among each pairing as the women are stereotypical more “together” than their Superjail counterparts, who are boorish and way immature.  

The two wardens have a gentleperson’s wager over whose inmates can be rehabbed into proper ladies/gentlemen by throwing a fancy ball. Both parties seem pretty unyielding in that regard, and the ball does get rude as hell thanks to the twins, who predictably sabotage it (why is there a mud pipe running in their ballroom, anyway?). Also Jarred meets Charise, the female version of him, and they fall in love. Their relationship blossoms over the course of the series, and the Ultraprison crew recur occasionally after this. 

Superjail is incredible, and to call certain episodes “weaker” is just a process-of-elimination thing. This one doesn’t quite knock it out of the park for me like "Bunny Love" or "Combaticus", but there are some very cool/funny things in it. Favorite joke in the episode is probably when Nova, Jailbot’s female counterpart, winds up afflicted by the Twins’ swarm of Spanish Flies (here depicted less-traditionally as actual flies that bite and infect their prey), and her face gets super-cartoony and she becomes boy crazy, chasing Jailbot around like a boycrazy nimrod. 

Hey, did you know that I had to look up exactly what the origin of the “A MAY-UNN!” gag was? I remembered it mostly from Roger Rabbit, which I often think about when my dad is wailing on me, but was relatively certain that it must’ve originated in an old cartoon that I couldn’t recall. I guess from what I’ve been able to piece together is that that scene is heavily referencing Red Hot Riding Hood by Tex Avery, which astonishingly I NEVER ACTUALLY HAVE SEEN IN FULL. I’ve only seen the clips of the wolf doing Mask shit in the nightclub. Tonight I rectified that, and picked out other gags in the episode that were cribbed from that. Those were also, coincidentally, my favorite part of the episode.

This one is top-heavy; starts very funny and trends slightly downward. It's not a steep drop-off, but ideally an episode will explode at the end. This one has a sitcom-feeling resolution, which is fine. I'm not pissed off, I swear. But I need to emphasize this: this show is incredible, and it's worst episode is better than most stuff on Adult Swim. Probably.
