Most of db dudebro fans at the end of the day don't really care about the characters or really care to understand them, and they're only here to see men fighting. That's why, most of the time, you see people complain about how Gohan became a whimp, and all his potential went to waste, and apparently, they don't like that he is happy with his family. Even tho the show itself said times and times again how he doesn't like to fight. But at the end of the day, it's pretty hard to understand for them when even some of the characters complain about him not training, but whatever.

Also, it's pretty interesting how they will complain about Gohan, which has an in-universe explanation for why he is not fighting anymore (although super made him come back to it out of necessity), they never seem to complain about how Videl, for example, had her potential gone to waste, without any explanation. The way they turned down her potential during the Majin Buu saga and then doubled down in Super is truly the most annoying thing ever. This girl liked fighting, and she used her abilities to help people in need. They could have gone so many ways with her character, and then she gets stuck being a housewife.

But sure, the problem is Gohan, who had an in character explanation for his "wasted" potential. Of course, they'll never complain about Videl because, well, who cares about the wasted potential of a female character, am I right

A few more takes on the Dragon Ball actors AU:

- In an interview both Goku and Piccolo actors stated how much they loved filming the car license episode. Vegeta had the idea for the plot of that filler and it was the first episode to be directed by a member of the cast (him).

- All the plushies that Videl and Gohan had gifted to Piccolo are actually the ones the fans send to the actor, the production thought that it would be a nice touch to include them in the movie.

- The actors that play Trunks (baby-kid) and Future Trunks in DBZ and DBS are brothers in real life.

- Mr. Satan actor was a real martial artist in his youth. Sometimes he gathers the younger members of the cast and teaches them some techniques to make their moves more believable.

- Bra actress is actually Bulma's daughter (where else would you find a baby with blue hair?).

- Beerus actor tends to hide food in the sets, at first his character wasn't supposed to be so much of a food lover but the writers included this trait to the plot since they found it hilarious.

- Yamcha actor took lessons with real NPB (japanese baseball league) players to learn how to play for the show, he is surprisingly good.

- Bulma and Vegeta actors are very good friends and while they are always asked in interviews about their true relationship irl, the two of them never deny or confirm anything. The fans are convinced that they had f*cked at least once in the past.

- During DB and DBZ Chaoz was a puppet and many members of the cast said that they used to be scared of it. Now in BDS he is added with CGI.

- Frieza actor is an open supporter and activist for the LGBTQ+ community, they're always seen at the japanese Pride Parade and they're very vocal about how their character is genderless.

Things that are canon in the “Bride of the Destroyer” AU that aren’t in the actual Dragon Ball series 🌹

Pt. 2 Pt. 3

Note: This is gonna be a long one! Also, this isn't going to be in order. It's written down from what I remember and what's in the actual story so far. Some of the things mentioned here haven't been put in the story just yet, so please keep in mind that some things may change in the future.

Beerus is married (the most obvious one) and has step kids with my oc, Brier.

Deities are capable of summoning creatures known as "daemons" as Familiars to help aide in their duties via a legally binding contract. The only known groups of deities who are known to practice this are the twelve Titan families from Brier's planet, Gardenia, hers included. This is typically done through a summoning ceremony.

Beerus has father-in-law issues with Arum, the Titan King, head of the Plantae family, and one of Brier's fathers. His relationship with Arum's husband and Brier's stepfather, Typhon II, is rather decent in comparison.

According to Whis, Beerus has once claimed that his wife Brier's beauty puts Heles, his fellow G.O.D., to shame.

Goku likes reading Spider-Man comics after his son Goten introduced them to him. Meanwhile, Vegeta enjoys the Invincible comics: Trunks was not the one to introduce him to it since he's a bit too young to read the comics and watch the show.

Vegeta secretly listens to Lady Gaga when working out.

Android #17 is married to Elena Corazón: an original character that is used for other fandoms such as the Spider-Verse trilogy and Delicious in Dungeon.

Vegeta's mother's name is Eschalot, which is what he wanted to name Bulla when she was born as a way to honor his mother: this obviously didn't go the way he planned, so he and Bulma compromised on making it their daughter's middle name.

Piccolo likes drinking fruit infused water that is served at parties.

Frieza is bisexual and/or polyamorous. He also starts a situationship with Montsechia (Monty), who is another antagonist for the Bride of the Destroyer AU.

Bulma made Vegeta, Goku, and Chi-Chi watch the Twilight films for a date night once: Goku and Chi-Chi thought the films were ok while Vegeta thought they were stupid.

Beerus has terrible and ineligible penmanship.

Vegeta often tells Goku about Saiyan culture after training.

The Grand Priest is married: his wife, Rosanna, is an OC that belongs to @aisururozu.

Whis is pansexual.

Cooler is part of this AU.

Kuriza will be part of the story in the near future.

Goku often brings Chi-Chi little souvenirs from his adventures: he once brought her a bouquet of rare flowers that she keeps in vase.

Piccolo will date Pan's teacher Janet in the future. He is also asexual and demiromantic.

According to Beerus's father-in-law Arum, he has a tattoo somewhere on his body. But whenever someone tries to ask him about it, he simply tells them that simply even knowing of the tattoo’s existence is more than enough for them to know.

people should discuss Videl more in the “strongest human in dragon ball” debates. Like yeah she can’t fire energy blasts or whatever, but as far as everyday, non-beam throwing humans go, she’s pretty much at the top.

Like, she was able to break a dude’s neck with just one kick, when she was in high school. And not just any regular guy’s neck either, she broke this guy’s neck:

Look at him! He’s got a neck you could use as a sewer pipe! Sure it took pretty much all the strength she had and he got up right after thanks to Majin Magic Bullshit(TM), but still! She took down this super enhanced monster of a guy with one, well placed kick. 

Since she’s teaching martial arts (as of Super Hero at least), she’s obviously still keeping up her training (more than Gohan probably, which is kinda funny), and is probably stronger than she was back in the Buu Saga, even with whatever break she had to take when she was pregnant with Pan.

Imagine Videl still sneaks off to do the occasional vigilante action (with or without the costume, you can’t convince me she and Gohan didn’t keep those), and the police can’t really stop her because she’s A. Daughter of Hercule, the guy that (as far as anyone knows) saved the planet twice over. and B. they just saw her grab the steel pipe one robber tried to hit her with and bend it in half. They ain’t fuckin’ with that.

Magenta obviously had to pick between either capturing Pan or Videl to get Gohan’s attention, and while Pan would be the more obvious choice he might have considered that a child would be too well protected and maybe he should go for the wife...until his surveillance team see her break like twenty bricks at once as a demonstration of proper punching technique and he decided it best not to fuck with that.

If Videl caught wind of her daughter getting captured she would have marched her way to that Red Ribbon base and found her way in, and very politely ask that they return her daughter before anyone got hurt. A few unlucky goons get a few chuckles in at this middle aged house wife trying to act tough before they get grabbed by the head and smashed into the nearest wall. 

Sure when Cell Max jumps out she would probably just grab Pan and leave the beams and explosions to the experts, but Imagine Magenta calling for reinforcements of regular troops to help him at some point...and not getting an answer. Carmine checks the cameras...and sees Videl putting one last enemy in the most brutal triangle choke ever witnessed by man. Videl sees the camera focus on her, tightens her hold, and growls, “where’s my baby, you BASTARDS?”

I just think Videl should get to be cool, is all.
