he is very hard to finds songs for, for some reason.

1) sherlock by riot hive

sherlock’s life in one song. he’s always worked in the corporate sector, and getting the gig with sjin and sips happened to be the best and worst stroke of luck of his life. he keeps telling himself that the pay is worth the constant bullying and cat attacks.

2) method acting by work drugs

how sherlock manages to keep his shit together day in, day out, around elsa, sj*n and sips.

3) 9 to 5 by dolly parton

sometimes you just gotta belt out a good old tune while in your underwear just to stop yourself from having a nervous breakdown. sherlock likes karaoke; but only if he’s by himself. and elsa, but elsa always gives him such a look that he gets self conscious and stops.

4) mad world by gary jules

the song that plays in sherlock’s head when daltos meets him for the first time and when sherlock thinks he’s about to get shot, up until sj*n comes down and interrupts.

5) take on me by a-ha

sometimes sips forces sherlockhulmes to join in on impromptu karaoke sessions. at this point, sherlock knows the words to ‘take on me’ backwards and can sing the entire song on his own while typing up a financial report.

Background

Sherlock (yes, that is his name) became Sips and Sjin’s secretary before SipsCo. established itself on Pandora. He followed them to Pandora with the achievement of being their only office worker who has managed to last longer than six months without being fired or quitting. To be honest, he’s not sure why he’s still with them; he supposes the exorbitant amount Sips is paying him is the only upside, aside from the work hours and excellent benefits (like covering being shot, having access to luxuries that lesser folk don’t).

The man himself is is typically dressed in a suit with the SipsCo. logo being proudly displayed on the coat pocket. He lives at the SipsCo. compound in his own quarters, spending his free time overseeing richly detailed campaigns with a bunch of his online friends. The rest of his time is spent helping Sjin run SipsCo. With the untimely absence of Sips, Sherlock’s noticed that Sjin’s been spending a lot of time away from the company’s office based at Opportunity lately.

One of the reasons why Sips hired him is for his discretion. A mining company like SipsCo. has a lot of dirt being swept under the carpet. While Sherlock isn’t ever directly involved, he does have to process the nitty-gritty details. Sips and Sjin are literally paying him to keep his mouth shut.

Sherlock’s more than happy to do that, so long as he can get his work done, is paid on time and is left alone in his evenings to pursue his hobby of roleplaying games (while thinking about possibly going into an alternative career that’s based anywhere but Pandora).

Even in a ‘safe’ place like Opportunity, rumors do trickle in about how dangerous the rest of the planet is and how easily it can appear on his doorstep. It’s not reassuring for someone like him who’s rather green about surviving one night out in the wilderness. Sherlock breaks out into a cold sweat at the idea of encountering anything outside of his comfortable domain of paperwork (minus his two hellish bosses) and cushy lifestyle.

Past all that, Sherlock is a serious, straight faced, competent individual who is a little prone to snarking back when most inconvenient. He prefers very much to be left alone, enjoying solitude so he can drift into a world of his own making (where his life is a lot simpler). He’s easily excited and passionate when it comes to his main hobby but rarely lets this part of him shine.

Yes, he’s aware of how embarrassing he can act and no, he doesn’t want Sips and Sjin to find out.
