"i know it's hard for you to let go. boone's always been lucky to have you. but a few hours of putting yourself first every once in a while? he'd be fine... and if he wasn't, you'd be back in time to fix it." usually eli would say he'd be there watching out for his best friend in the meantime. he tried to push away the guilt that he wouldn't be. holding himself to living in the moment, gaze lifts up and a chuckle emanates from him as she elbows him. "hmm.. you were kind of a nightmare student, but only when it comes to driving a stick," teasing grin pulls at the corners of his lips. "your fun levels are more than worth it." to eli, she was worth more than simply some kind of air of hypothetical patience... a whole lot more. "you sure you can commit?" playful, slightly deviant waggle of his brows. urging her on by hopefully striking a competitive chord.
"and whatever he'd had for dinner before coming to prom." claire admitted with a groan. peace and relaxation were not things that came easy to her. fun was easier when it was rooted in something she had to do. two birds, one stone, right? "he tries, i love him to death, but he is a loveable exhausting mess." it was always nice to have eli, he knew her, he understood the relationship she had with her brother, even if no one else did. he never judged her for carrying the other leigh when she really ought to let him live and learn from his mistakes. "i don't know if i even know how to have unadulterated fun. you'll have to teach me. and you should remember how much of a nightmare student i can be." she teased, elbowing him lightly from the driver's seat. "it will be a painful process, you sure my fun levels are worth that?"

Antiva’s ELIJAH KAMSKI facts!
Headcanons for you and all your friends.
- Only child of a ruthless lawyer and his bored socialite wife, Polish Catholic background
- Despite being a child prodigy, Elijah disappointed his parents with an interest in engineering and robotics
- The father started to come around on the idea that Elijah would invent some new technology, but the perception of Elijah being weak, sickly, and possibly gay destroyed the father’s ability to live vicariously through his son
- Elijah is a type-1 diabetic with anxiety, depression, and an additional fictional version of an auto-immune disease
- Committed to health and fitness to help with the above
- Mostly vegetarian but will consume seafood on rare occasions
- Eats cheetos with $1000 handmade lacquer Japanese chopsticks
- Bisexual, low libido due to a lot of health problems
- Former first generation ARI user, back when ARI was in sunglasses format, but he stopped after complications with the tech, triptocaine, and his medications
- Alumnus of a prestigious Catholic boy’s school, where he was completely ostracized
- For Show and Tell, he made a 40-slide presentation disproving the existence of God
- Despite genius-level intelligence, Elijah was placed too soon into university for his emotional and social development
- Often mocked behind his back or openly
- Failed to connect with most classmates, who thought it was weird to find a kid at this level
- In a cruel prank, teen Elijah was invited to a college party where he drank to the point of hospitalization due to issues with his blood sugar levels
- He did make friends with an anxious trust fund kid, Dillon Bryson, who appreciated the authenticity of weird yet sincere young Elijah Kamski; Dillon Bryson would go on to join him in founding CyberLife, using his father’s money to help bankroll the company in its infancy and generate buy-in from other engineers
- Dr Amanda Stern was a mentor and an inspiration, and the only real “father” figure in his life; she was the only human that he could trust without reservation. Her death was shattering.
- Chloe has her origins in every character he’s customized in an RPG or MMO; her first physical iteration was a LEGO robot. She is his best friend, confidante, lover, and inspiration. He once asked her if it was preferable that he seek a way to eradicate human life on Earth and entrust its stewardship to the machines.
- “Oh my goddd Elijah, wow, let’s lighten up a little. Skyrim co-op?? :)”
- Chloe’s relationship with Elijah isn’t a little weird, it’s totally weird, and weirder than most can imagine.
- Connor first appeared in the notebook drawings of Elijah Kamski, aged 7, where a cool guy in a suit fought bad guys with a katana on top of a moving train
- Connor is just as bad-assed but strangely a somewhat prissy personality developed out of the detail-oriented functions of the RK800 program
- Markus was created with the physical appearance of a subject of one of Carl Manfred’s famous early paintings, “Urban Apollo;” Elijah has always admired the painter, not only for his creative works but for his personality and boldness
- Elijah is a fiercely private person and his romantic life is rife with speculation in the media
- Was once engaged to a celebrity yoga instructor; although they shared interests in fitness and philosophy, his long hours at CyberLife and unwillingness to relocate from Michigan were cited as factors to the dissolution of their relationship
- Longs for authentic friendship but has written off that possibility with other humans
- Does maintain a network of online friends, acquaintances, and gamer guildmates who have no idea who he is
- He and Chloe are always in the same guilds
- She uses her voice alteration tricks if either of them have to say something over the microphone
- No one has figured it out except for one guy who is soooo sure it was them in the guild back before they left over “guild politics” but nobody believed him
- For a few days in the early 2030s, foreign tabloids had a field day with wild reports out of Las Vegas where Elijah Kamski was reported to have gone on a gay drug-fueled sex romp at a luxurious casino hotel
- While something like that might have trashed anyone else’s reputation, western media and audiences seemed to weirdly love the episode; it “humanized” Elijah Kamski, even though it turned out actually not to be him
- Turned out to be just some random guy who kind of looked like Kamski
- Who misjudged his edibles
- Who was there with a bachelorette party
- Elijah was mortified at first but the weird incident and its reception helped him shed the last vestiges of shame and accept his sexuality
- He did discreetly pay the guy’s enormous champagne tab however
- Elijah Kamski and the Chloes are sometimes featured in SNL skits, usually the last to appear in a scene; Elijah is always portrayed as a kooky prophet who will remark profoundly on current socio-political events; actresses that portray Chloe actually never quite look like Chloe, they just wear the blonde wig, and to date there have been two goofy male comedians featuring as Chloe
- These days Elijah Kamski is reclusive, valuing his privacy, and interacting little in the public sphere: charity speaking engagements, TED talks, and various high school/college scholarship awards
- He is rumored to be on bad terms with the entire CyberLife board, even Dillon Bryson, his oldest friend in the company
- His leaving CyberLife in 2029 may not have been voluntary
- It is not known what his intentions or opinions are toward the android uprising, Jericho, or CyberLife; each side fears the immense power he still commands
- Whatever he’s up to, it’s going to be weird, but weirder than anybody might guess
- Still wants to see Connor fight bad guys with a katana on top of a train

Thank you for ably representing our amazing president!
Sheri Dillon, Esquire Morgan Lewis Law Firm 1111 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, DC 20004-2541 (via email) February 16, 2019 Dear Ms. Dillon, I read with interest this week articles in which Rep. Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, suggested you may have lied repeatedly while furnishing false information to the Office of Government Ethics regarding President Trump and his financial dealings with attorney Michael Cohen in 2016 and 2017. Those matters concerned payments Mr. Cohen made to Karen McDougal, a former Playboy playmate, and porn star Stormy Daniels. The purpose was to cover up the president's past sexual liaisons with the women. The payments were hush money, some $250,000 in all, that Mr. Cohen made to keep Ms. McDougal and Ms. Daniels quiet during the 2016 presidential campaign. President Trump later reimbursed Mr. Cohen. In a Politico article Friday, that nasty SOB Cummings said that YOU “repeatedly stated to federal officials at OGE that President Trump never owed any money to Mr. Cohen in 2016 and 2017.” Cummings went on to say that your false statements raise questions about “the extent to which [Dillon and co-counsel Stefan Passantino] were acting at the direction of, or coordination with, the president.” Basically, the congressman is pointing a big fat finger at you and shouting "LIAR!" As I'm sure you're aware, lying is a very serious charge when leveled at any attorney, who's considered an officer of the court. Repeated blatant and intentional falsehoods to a federal government agency could put a lawyer's law license and livelihood in jeopardy. For anybody else, such as a real estate developer/reality TV star/politician, it's not nearly as big a deal. For them, lying is almost expected. Anyway, I have no personal knowledge as to whether you lied to protect President Trump. But in the event you did, I wanted to reach out and say: "THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!" I'm a YUUUGE Trump supporter. He is the most honest, virile and outstanding leader America has had since President Teddy Roosevelt. (In that respect, it's easy to understand how Ms. McDougal and Ms. Daniels succumbed to his masculine charm.) But sadly, President Trump has become consumed with this outrageous Trump-Russia witch hunt run by Robert Mueller, and a couple of other probes by federal prosecutors in New York. On Fox News, I've been watching the progress of those investigations carefully, and from that I've concluded that the President's biggest problem is a dearth of people who are willing to lie for him and stick by their faslehoods. So far, the only stand-up characters in this mess have been Paul Manafort and Roger Stone. All of the others cut deals and folded like a used lawn chair! If you have already lied in support of the President, I hope you will stand by those untruths. And if you haven't yet lied, I hope you can set aside trivialities such as federal law and legal ethics and perjure yourself with determination and good cheer. Because that's what our country, and our President, needs in these trying times. I wish you luck in the continuing investigations. And don't forget: More than anything else, resolute liars are what will Make America Great Again! Sincerely Arthur Mofodopoulis 551-1 Shady Glen Road Knockemstiff, Ohio 45601

"junior prom? --- that was about a decade ago, claire." he gives her a punctuated look. " ... and didn't that one asshole like... throw up spiked punch on your dress, or something? i guess that was the second half of prom" --- eli wondered if that part he remembered right. it'd gotten fuzzy toward the end. the one part that viscerally lived in his memory turned out to be not being there with the person he'd wanted to be there with. eli was boone's friend first and foremost -- and even back then, he'd known someone like claire couldn't end up with someone like him. with exasperated fondness that came with, a portion of the time, trying to keep boone from harm himself, eli acquiesced, "boone is a plateful, that one i'll give you. but a decade is far too long to go without having real fun. which is why i think we ought to make up for it. on this trip."
claire's lips rubbed together, brows furrowed but she let the joke pass, once she'd thought on it, she was certain she'd ask. elijah had become a fixture in her life she wasn't sure how she got along with before. he was the levity she'd always needed, even though she'd never say it. so much of her life was bogged down by taking care of boone, and how could she say no? they'd been the only people in each others lives since their birth, but didn't claire deserve to find her own happiness? to have a little fun? "i don't think i've ever stopped thinking about books and classes in my entire life. you do know that making sure my brother doesn't ruin his life is a full time job right? i think junior prom was good, for the first half at least."
#perfectstcrm#character: elijah dillon.#interaction: claire leigh.#i wanted to add a little to their backstory and connection - hope it's okay?#let me know if anything at all needs changing and i'll absolutely do so asap tho! <3#i read the leigh twins' bios

"milder than my desire to sit finals right now," he jokes in return -- did that even make sense? it's out of character, of course. eli was the studious type, too. but maybe this way, it'd shock her less when she found out the real reason for the trip. that he wasn't visiting his dad, but staying to work for him. leaving school behind him. he didn't know how he'd ever thought he could make it work. medical school, being any different than his father. corners of his lips lift slowly as he watches claire's profile. it adds to the gaping emptiness in him to leave her behind. he wants to sink into the eight-hour drive, pretend his future is different. "oh, yeah?" a caring smirk rising at the corner of his mouth. "when was the last time you had fun? as in -- let yourself stop thinking about your books and classes, responsibilities, and truly had fun?"
"i don't think that would count as mild." claire shot back, she didn't think she needed the year and a half of sciences to get it. her cheeks prickled and her nose scrunched, she could feel elijah's eyes on her as she drove. her hands squeezed the steering wheel, which was covered by a crochet cover of sunflowers she'd made the summer before last. "what part of this isn't fun?" claire looked over, the idea of being confused even though she knew it was a mask for embarrassed. boone was the fun leigh, claire was the serious leigh. that was how it had worked out. somehow the twins split their capacity for comedy and concern straight down the middle, each taking half. "i can be fun."

brow knits together at claire's 'older-sister'-like fussing. " maybe i want a mild injury? would give me a good excuse to miss finals," eli deadpans. then holds his hands up from the volume control, surrendering. just not without shooting it up several decibels first. brow continues to knit as he studies her, this time with obvious amusement. fond curiosity, even. " we're essentially on a road trip right now. they're supposed to be fun. you do know how to have fun, right? " he smirks and playfully prods over the music.
open to anyone. muse: claire leigh. twenty seven. she/her. pansexual. history masters. plot: claire agreed to drive ym somewhere. could be close, could be far. heck, if you wanna make it a roadtrip thing? i have all the faith and trust in the world in you. i am partial to a bit of a drive. lots of conversation and confessions on a roadtrip.
"feet off the dash!" claire swatted away at their feet, a tut in her voice like an old grandmother minding after children. "we get into an accident and your kneecaps are going strait into your eyes. not to even mention your ankles." she was always the mother of her friends, even the ones she didn't get along with. "and quit fiddling with the volume!" she didn't have the patience of a saint however.
