BLAZE OF BURN CREEK'S SECOND LITTER MID-SAGA UPDATE

Blaze, sporting a youthful version of his coat now, busies himself preparing for the brutality of the summer months. With seven pups to tend to, it is unlikely that all of them will survive.

This hunch is correct. Despite their best efforts, the demand of feeding all seven pups while defending against the terrors of Amethyst Mountain's competition proves too much.

Their daughters all fall, one by one, before even half of the summer is over.

Leaving Freyja and Blaze only with their two sons, Thor and Loki. The two boys cling to each other tight while their parents struggle to keep their bellies full.

With incredible dedication, Blaze and Freyja keep Thor and Loki alive into their older adolescence, when they are ready to start hunting and helping their parents defend their turf.

The boys prove to be skilled scufflers, surely their parents' genes shining through, as they help Mom and Dad maintain territory borders in between hunting the elk herds that roam their turf.

The year passes, even if a bit slowly sometimes. But Thor and Loki make it onto the other side, joining each other as full adults in their parents' pack.

WOLFQUEST:AE THREAD BLAZE-'Burn Creek Pack Pack 2M'

Talon's first litter is of age now, while he and Nightingale are caring for their third litter of pups, the grown ones start making some important life decisions. While his littermates decide to venture further off, Blaze is recorded as staying within the territory of his birth, helping strengthen borders while mom and dad are busy.

Blaze, despite his sickly health in youth, is a healthy adult. He has no trouble hunting for himself while on his own, picking off the weaker elk calves

It's a bit into the season when Blaze comes across some of the Dispersals his mother and father haven't chased off yet. In particular, a female from the Hayden pack (Hayden 53f) makes her presence known.

Their courtship is fairly long, as Blaze is torn between kicking her out and continuing to entertain her.

Though it eventually settles in a decently lengthy trial period where she helps Blaze during several hunts and excursions chasing off other invading wolves from both the Rescue Creek Pack and others further off.

After properly sizing each other up, the two seemed to feel confident in the others hunting abilities enough to solidify their courtship and pair off together. The Hayden Pack female was now recorded as 'Burn Creek 3F' nicknamed 'Freyja'

Lore utc (i wrote a lot lmao), the uh post ch 134 stuff will be elaborated on later (or if asked. Actually, ask me anything about him. And my other oc's once they're posted. Please. I will answer in great detail. I also need a distraction. Pls.)

So basically, among the first few vampires (a 4th progenitor to be percise) turned by Shikama was a woman who showed great potential for spells and magic. She had a loving husband and child which she tragically lost in an accident. Upon turning into a vampire, her family was still the only thing on her mind. She accepted to help Shikama in his endeavors to revive Mikaela since she hoped she could revive her own family in the proccess. Unfortunately it didn't work. Disillusioned, she abandoned vampire kind and started searching for the possible reincarnation of her beloved husband, whom she may be able to have a child with and have family again.

Fast forward a a lot, and I mean a lot, of years and she arrived in 60s japan. None of the people she had hope for turned out to be the reincarnation of her late husband until that fateful day. She encountered a (rather pathetic may I add) man in his late 20s and it was like a miracle. The woman cornered the man in disbelief and from this awkward first meeting blossomed true love. Then everything went to shit lmaooo

The first problem was that the mans family didn't approve of the woman. Tough this didn't stop their love. Next was the issue of bearing a child, something that a vampire simply can't do. Well, an ordinary one but this woman was anything but ordinary. By some impossible miracle she bore a child. A biological child. (GIRL HOW?? We will never know and frankly, i don't want to think about it💀)

The child was, as expected tbh, kind of a disaster. Already born with pointy ears and sharp fangs. The child needed both human food and blood to properly sustain themselves. Drinking blood outside of their family would permanently stop their aging. Despite this, the couple was overjoyed. (And then named their child "mistake" bc that would help /s.) They named him "Machigai". Why tho?? I dunno man something along the lines of "a mistake but the best mistake of their life" bruh

So after Machigai was old enough to walk, but not old enough to remember, the mother diappeared, leaving father and child behind. The father did his best to raise such an... extraordinary child but it was understandably kind of impossible. Machigai grew up alone and isolated from his peers. He was always wearing a hood of some kind and rarley opened his mouth to talk. In high school, he met a girl who he became good friends with but she is another oc I'll post about sometime adlf,wpl.

Anyways! Come Machigai's high school graduation and 18th birthday, his father... disappeared. All he left was a note saying, that Machigai now owned the apartment and that there is enough blood in the fridge to sustain Machigai's thrist while he could grow and mature. To an already depressed and disillusioned Machigai this obviously didn't help. Throughout the next years he became a shut in, who only left the house if absolutely necessary. All he did all day was play video games, watch tv and later be on the internet. Once he ran out of his fathers blood was when things changed. He had to go out and actually find a new source of blood. Welp, sorry to unlucky bastards who went into dark alleyways at night bc these types of people became Machigai's source of blood. (That's when he stopped aging)

On one of these nightly escapades, Machigai was greeted by a large man in a neat black suit who called himself "Saito". Saito claimed to have known Machigai's mother and offered a deal: Machigai would offer up his unique constitution to the Hyakuya sect's research and in turn get a well paying job and a guaranteed source of blood. He agreed. "Welcome to the Hyakuya sect. I look forward to your performance"

Machigai was practically a lab rat for the development of cursed gear. Thanks to his half-n-half physiology he could tank wounds from cursed gear/magic n shit while still providing useful data to how effective it is. During this time Machigai aquired knowledge of vampire culture(?), became familiar with magic and it's quirks and learned how to perform simple spells and whatnot.

Around 2011, when the internet was already fairly well used, Machigai came across a forum dedicated to paranormal sightings. Various users claimed that a secluded spot in Kyoto was home to vampires. (Ferid was the one spreading these rumors btw) Most would have dissmissed this as someone wanting attention, yet Machigai was intrigued. He was well aware that vampires existed across the world but he mever knew how to actually contact them. Perhaps out of morbid curiosity, perhaps out of a genuine want for connection with people like him, he went to check out the spot. There, he met none other than the eccentric Ferid Bathory who specifically manufactured the rumor to meet Machigai (extra much?). He was well aware of Machigai's work for Rígr "Saito" Stafford and was trying to one up his father by stealing his most prized lab-rat. Machigai declined, not trusting a single thing out of that vampires mouth. Ferid left, already proclaiming that one day Machigai would be working for him.

Machigai stuck around that area as it was already well into the night and public transport wouldn't start up until the early morning. There he met another vampire: Crowley Eusford. Their meeting wasn't planned or meticulously calculated, it was actually rather awkward. Their chat was meaningless and short but in the end leagues above whatever Ferid likes to plan. Crolwey has already unwillingly heard about this curious being from Ferid and seeing Machigai himself left him wanting to learn more about him. Machigai was left a little hopeful, that perhaps it's not too late for him to look for connections.

So the apocalypse rolls around-

Machigai makes a deal with Saito that in exchange for his freedom (*eagle screech*) he would keep his mouth shut about anything the Hyakuya sect discovered while Machigai was there.

Machigai seeks out the Demon Army where he successfully keeps his half vampire identity a secert until someone on his squad gets blackmailed into revealing it. Before that, he gets a cursed weapon, a pair of daggers. And lo and behold, the demon possessing the daggers is his own mother. Unfortunately since the now demonic mother didn't witness Machigai growing up, she falsey believes to be able to still shape Machiagi to her will. After getting locked up by the army, Machigai completley gives up, only wishing for his miserable existence to end (spoiler: It won't! Ever. :) ). He ultimately loses any and all trust he has in humanity or just anything in general.

After about half a year of grueling torture and some experimentation, Machigai gets freed (kidnapped) by Ferid and promptly brought to Kyoto Sangiuem. Krul Tepes, finding Machigai to be useful in her fake-ish war against humanity and whatever she's planning with Yuu and Mika, lets him be part of the japanese vampires under Ferids faction. Ferid found himself unwilling to deal with the often uncooperative and irritated new "recruit" so he did what he does best and made it Crowley's problem.

After a rather agressive and disrespectful first impression, Machigai was officially a... coworker? of Crowley and thus also Chess and Horn in Nagoya. The three got the additional task by Ferid to somehow domesticate this feral and angry stray animal and get him to open up. At least that's how Ferids orders were phrased. Shenanigans, Drama and FeelingsTM ensue.

1) Describe one creative WIP project you're planning to work on over the summer:

Haha, technically I’ll be working on my two current WIPs throughout the summer: Fallen Stars and On my Heart! Since Fallen Stars is over on my AO3 account already, I’ll use On my Heart for this one. The short version is basically, “Kid gets temporarily turned into a dragon by his Familiar, which is both very dangerous and very illegal, and gets help from an ex-cop and weird hermit to help him evade arrest.” It’s a very long-standing passion project of mine, haha, but it’s been a lot of fun to work on; I love the found family that starts to form between the four main characters a lot.

2) Recommend a book:

I’m currently reading To Shape a Dragon’s Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose, and it’s very good!! It’s a dragon rider story set in an alternate version of America, and while I’m not too far into it yet, I really like it so far. If you’re interested in a unique take on dragon riders with an indigenous protagonist, cool world-building, and a story looking at the effects of colonialism, then I think you’ll probably like this.

...But since I technically haven’t finished that one yet, I’m also going to recommend The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle.  Which...if you haven’t read that yet, you should.  

3) Recommend a fic:

I’m re-reading ANAMNESIS by Elrena and izabellwit (@izabellwit) for the millionth time, haha, and it’s so good.  Basically, it’s about Skuld/Subject X, Strelitzia, and Young Xehanort all living as roommates together in Quadratum...and all the insanity that entails.  The writing style and characterizations are great, so I’d definitely recommend it!

4) Recommend music!

its time to promo the kh4 brainrot fics ive written since my previous post on the matter. as previously mentioned these are all in a series for fun and convenience

1. Cyclical is a fic where Sora and Strelitzia discuss the end of the World

2. It Runs In The Streets is a sequel to It Runs In The Family, where Sora and Strelitzia walk in on the ending to NEOTWEWY

Thank you for this, Paris!! Specifying a series rather than just a specific name is absolutely fine, hehe - since it's just the one question, I can answer it for all of my Kingdom Hearts self-inserts for you!~

9. who are your self-insert's closest friends? - So, Aria isn't really someone who makes particularly close friends, out of both being naturally fairly introverted and self-sufficient, and the fact she wields darkness putting her somewhat at odds with most others right off the bat, even though she's not evil. It takes some time for them to warm up to her, but she does eventually become friends with Terra and Ventus due to the amount of time she spends with them in the Land of Departure and the fact she helps them by siphoning away their leftover darkness remnants from Xehanort and Vanitas. Back in the age of fairytales, Aria's closest friend was her Nobody counterpart, Livi (who is an old friend of mine's self-insert).

Ves is a lot more of a friendly person, but she is also naturally more shy than Aria, so she again doesn't have too many particularly close friends to start with. She ends up working closely with Kairi at Radiant Garden and helping her a lot, so the two of them become pretty close friends, but she's pretty friendly with most of the main cast in all honesty. In the Daybreak AU where she is around as herself during the age of fairytales, Ves' best friends are Shiro (an OC made by the aforementioned old friend) and Strelitzia, though she also ends up becoming close with Ephemer, Skuld, Ventus and Lauriam.

Xiara has a very limited capacity for emotions, due to not only being a Nobody but also having no memories of her life before becoming a Nobody that she can use to emulate emotions. Therefore, whether she has the ability to make friends and be close with others is debatable. However, she tries to be as kind as she can be to the others, and spends most of her time trying to support Roxas and Xion since she recognises they are burdened by their important role. She also spends a lot of time "researching" (i.e. following around and writing down amusing things about) Werm, my friend @dragonsmooch's self-insert.

Skräckfilmen ”Karusell” spelas in på Liseberg – parken satsar sex miljoner

Skräckfilmen "Karusell" spelas just nu in nattetid på Liseberg. Nöjesparken är medproducent och satsar sex miljoner på det mörka tonårsdramat. GP träffade några av huvudrollsinnehavarna som lider av akut sömnbrist.– Jag kommer inte att besöka ett nöjesfält igen på ett tag, säger Omar Rudberg.

Visst har vi sett många skräckfilmer förut, som utspelar sig på nöjesfält och i nöjesparker. Regissörernas största favorit sedan gammalt är den sönderrostade nöjesparken på Coney Island utanför New York.

Att en skräckfilm spelas in på Liseberg i Göteborg är desto mer unikt.

– Det har aldrig hänt förut, i alla fall inte som jag känner till, säger Robert Arvidsson, kommersiell chef på Liseberg.

Nu blir det ändring på det. Sedan 24 oktober spelas "Karusell", en ny svensk skräckfilm, in i nöjesparken. Berättelsen kretsar kring en grupp tonåringar. En av dem, Jenny, har vunnit en privat smygpremiär av halloween på Liseberg. Hon bjuder med sig bästa vännerna för att tillbringa en natt tillsammans, ensamma i den tomma parken. Parkvärden Fiona får i uppgift att ta hand om besökarna – som hon visar sig ha en infekterad relation till sedan tidigare. Det som börjar som en kul grej urartar till en skräckupplevelse på liv och död.

– Fiona har hoppat av gymnasiet och börjat jobba på Liseberg. Hon ville komma bort från skolmiljön, och nu blir det en chock att se det gamla gänget igen, berättar Wilma Lidén om sin rollfigur.

Hon menar att "Karusell" minus skräcken i mycket är ett klassiskt ungdomsdrama med inslag av osäkerhet, hybris, skuld och skam. Hennes rollfigur är den som "kan parken", vet alla kryphål och kan se till att ingen blir mördad.

Bredvid henne i logen på Liseberg sitter Omar Rudberg, känd inte minst från Netflix-serien "Young royals". Nu har de just blivit sminkade inför nattens scener. De upplever att produktionstakten och nattarbetet varit – och är – rejält tufft.

– Annars är man ju sällan vaken till klockan nio på morgonen, och vi blir alltid övertrötta varje natt runt tre. Det blir tråkigt att skiljas åt – men skönt att åka hem. Nu ska vi nog sova i två veckor allihop, säger Wilma Lidén.

De vände på dygnet, glömde bort att äta och blev sugna på lunch mitt i natten berättar de unisont.

– Jag kände mig visserligen som en nattuggla redan innan, men det här blev faktiskt mer och mer jobbigt, säger Omar Rudberg – som nu kommer att ta paus från nöjesparker ett tag.

Amanda Lind, som enligt egen utsago "vuxit upp i Bonusfamiljen" och även synts i tv-serien "Lyckoviken" och skräckfilmen "Feed" spelar gängets ledare Jenny.

– Jag är den kaxiga, dryga tjejen som fått inbjudan. Jag och Fiona var tidigare bästa vänner, men så hände det något. Nu har vi inte setts på ett år, förklarar hon.

"Karusell" är en mycket lämpligt titel tycker hon:

– För hela filmen är som en karusell, eller bergochdalbana, där det mest går utför.

Bakom filmen står bolaget Scandinavian content group, som sedan starten 2019 bland annat producerat Netflix-serien "Clark" och skräckfilmen "Feed". Premiärdatum för nya "Karusell" är satt till oktober 2023 – tajmat med nästa års halloweensäsong på Liseberg.

– Under sju säsonger av Halloween har vi sett ett snudd på omättligt intresse för skräck, i kombination med mysrys för de lite yngre, säger Robert Arvidsson.

Nöjesparken har under årens lopp fått många förfrågningar om film- och tv-inspelningar. Bland annat har de tackat nej till en tv-serie liknande Gekås Ullared, fast med Lisebergs personal.

– "Karusell" gör vi nu för att utforska vad Halloweensegmentet kan vara.

Liseberg satsar pengar i filmprojektet

Den kommunala nöjesparken satsar cirka sex miljoner i filmen, av sin totala budget på 58 miljoner. Insatsen i "Karusell" ger dem rätt till framtida intäkter som filmen genererar. Från Lisebergs sida har man velat "säkra en kvalitetsnivå" samt förvissa sig om att inga scener spelas in i Kaninlandet, som de inte tycker ska förknippas med skräck. I övrigt har filmskaparna fått fria händer.

– Vi har gjort "Feed", den går jättebra, och vi tycker att det behövs mer genrefilm i Sverige, säger producenten Filip Hammarström som nu skrivit manus till ”Karusell” på knappt ett år.

– Vi vill göra en snygg film som vågar sticka ut och använder oss fullt ut av vår location.

– Ja vi har nästan fått hejda dem, skämtar Robert Arvidsson på Liseberg lite nervöst.

Även filmens regissör Simon Sandquist, som till vardags bor i Los Angeles, låter entusiastisk:

– Liseberg är ju så stort och grandiost i sig. Vi vill göra film i den tonen. Man måste våga ta i – det får inte kännas för tråkigt.
