How does your farmer feel about:

I have 2 farmers semi self insert Adam and Li.

Farming:

Adam: Likes farming. Spends a lot of time making sure the chickens are happy. Li: Is indifferent about farming. It's haaard work.

Mining: Adam: Takes lots of shortcuts (rope, bombs lol) prefers to not fight monsters Li: Doesn't spend a lot of time mining, that would ruin their pretty hands :(

Foraging: Adam: Likes picking up flowers though if it were irl me, I'd be like Charles ACHOOOOOO. Li: Picks up random things, especially if they look pretty.

Catching: Adam: Does not like catching things much, misses 95% of the time. Irl me does not like bugs. Uses bug traps to catch most of them. Li: Loves bugs though he's not the best at catching them.

Fishing: Adam: KILL HIM NOW. He hates fishing. Sure it makes up a good percentage of his income but nope nope nope. Can never catch the fish he wants. Li: Would rather not catch the fish, though they do like donating fish to the aquarium.

Ranching: Adam: Loves ranching. Spends a lot of time with the animals. The animals are treated like royalty. Each one has a special name and nickname. Would die for any of them. Li: Hasn't yet got any animals but if they did, they'd only have a few who were treated well.

Combat: Adam: The pointy end ...stabby? Prefers not to fight, is a peaceful type. Li: Has yet to engage in much combat. They would be a graceful fighter though and have some finesse.

Diving: Adam: Spends most of his time under the sea, clearing the rubbish mostly not to unlock anything but to make sure the environment is clean for the fish/underwater creatures. Li: Loves underwater so spends 99% of their time underwater. With their long, silver hair they'll make a very pretty merperson too. They long to join the underwater kingdom, they feel at home there.

Interacting with the Islanders: Adam: Is best friends with Noah, and Wakuu. Noah and Adam spend a lot of time discussing aliens/sci fi/fantasy and conspiracy theories. Adam and Wakuu go to play chess or go to the observatory quite often to look at the stars. He's interested romantically in Mark or Rafael or Semeru (undecided). Also possibly Kenny. Is starting to become good friends with Lily and Theo too.

Li: Is a bit of a loner at the moment, hasn't ventured out much and tends to stick to themself though. Li would probably in my opinion be friends with Lily, and anyone introverted but I will have to see who they connect with once I'm back home.

Other:

What is their favorite building material? I haven't done much building yet.

What is their decor style? Adam: Baroque though the inside of their house looks like a haunted house, just for fun. Li: Is very much a neoclassical type person. Prefers fancy furniture and things.

Who's their love interest? Adam: Has eyes on Semeru, Mark and Rafael. If it were me irl I'm going to lean towards Rafael just because his personality would suit me the best I think. Though Luke and Wakuu could be dark horses too. Li: Haven't decided 100% yet but they like men. Maybe Semeru.

What's their favorite thing to grow? Adam: Likes growing crops that grow fast. Is a bit lazy. Actually irl would be potatoes and capsicums and peas as I love them. Li: Prefers growing flowers to vegetables though they are partial to coffee beans as they drink a lot of coffee.

What's their favorite animal? Adam: Cats. Meow. Li: Loves any and all sea creatures but farm wise? Ducks and horses.

Bonus! What do you associate with your farmer in these categories:

Color: Adam: Pink, as he wears it a lot. Li: Silver/white because of their hair.

Season: Adam: Autumn, it's his favourite season and he loves pumpkins and halloween/spooky vibes. Li: Summer , it just fits their vibe either with the love of swimming/beach

Metal: Adam: Not really that interested in much metals Li: Anything shiny or worth money/is valuable.

Some random facts about Adam so far: He is very very intense when it comes to trivia mini game. He will not give up until he has answered correctly. Is no good at the games at fairs.

Putting my own farmer infodumps under the cut for Length purposes XD

Farming:

Morimiya: His second favorite thing in the world! His wife complimented the way he looks while working the land, and he immediately threw out every other activity to tend crops. His main goal is to have 100% FARM on his land.

Maya: It’s cool, she guesses. Tedious, but brings in the cash and that’s the main thing. She likes that she can ignore the plants for the most part.

Clementine: Ideally, she would plant exclusively flowers and let them decorate the farm for the full season. Until then, she’s stuck with the weeds -ahem- crops that will bring in enough money to live her dreams. Mermaid farming will be an entirely different matter!

Mining:

Morimiya: It’s another task to do to keep the farm running. Pretty relaxing, and nice to do in bad weather, but he wouldn’t do it for fun.

Maya: She LOVES it!! She gets to pound away at rocks with a sharp weapon for as long as she wants, and no one will say she has anger issues! Mining is where she feels the most powerful, even if it’s not skill-based. There’s practically no better thing for her to do.

Clementine: She doesn’t like being underground. Or the dark. Honestly the dream is to have enough money to just buy ores instead of going down there. But back when she was freeing the giants, you couldn’t keep Clementine out of the mines! She was determined to free them. Busted down 3 of the mines with a bronze pick-axe, she got so single-mindedly focused.

Foraging: 

Morimiya: He really enjoys it! Getting to explore the island in full, talk to locals, enjoy the natural bounty of the earth… what’s not to love! Especially when he can race around with his horse. Morimiya will devote full days to just wandering the island and picking stuff up. He used to enjoy the underwater bounty, but then... the Incident...

Maya: Hate is a strong word, but she really doesn’t enjoy it. Trudging all around, crossing paths with people, ugh. Or even worse, being in the boring underwater world!

Clementine: On land, she totally forgets foraging is an option. Literally never occurs to her that things exist and she can pick them up. But underwater, no one can compete with how much she’ll pick up in a day.

Catching:

Morimiya: As long as it fills up the museum and temple offerings, he’s happy to do it! He did once get himself unconscious catching exclusively soldier beetles, so there are definitely preferred bugs!

Maya: Bug catching is possibly the most thrilling thing she could ever do! The chance to use some real skill, finesse, cunning! She barely pays attention to what she’s getting, since the fun is in managing the catches.

Clementine: She HATES bugs. Absolutely terrified of bugs. Especially wasps and praying mantises. Her net is basically a fly-swatter to her; gets the bugs away. Screw the museum and offerings, nuh-uh she ain’t touching that! Although ironically, her avoiding bugs as much as she can means they stick around longer, since she’s not startling them off.

Fishing:

Morimiya: His favorite thing in the whole world! It’s so relaxing! Any free moment is spent picking a fishing spot for the day and just losing himself to the line and the pattern of the pull.

Maya: Hates it hates it hates it. Literal torture for her! Just sitting there, doing nothing, with a guaranteed bite on the line?? What could be worse! Why does the cruel god keep making her do it! Although, she does get the chance to defeat sharks and keep the trophies of that on her farm… and it makes good money…

Clementine: She feels bad for the poor little fishies- ack ew ew ew slimy cross, dead things EW- But luckily she gets so one-track minded that when she gets focused on money-making she can do it for literally a whole day. But mostly she’s trying not to think of the implications of fishing for merfolk.

Ranching:

Morimiya: He kinda got into it, but in the end all the noise and upkeep got a bit much for him. Besides, he wants to focus on the crops anyway. He did shed a few tears when he eventually got rid of the animals though, and he’ll always be grateful they helped him heal the island.

Maya: She will never ever ever admit this, but ranching is secretly her favorite thing. It may not be much of a power-showcase, but the animals are just so cute… and maybe it’s nice to take care of something other than herself. Plus they bring in SO much money!

Clementine: Animals are loud and messy and smelly, it’s such a pain. But if she wants her flower garden and mermaid themed farm, they’re a good way to earn enough to accomplish that. Ideally she would exclusively raise llamas, because they’re so fluffy!!

Combat:

Morimiya: It breaks his heart when he does it. He did it only to fulfill the offering bundle, and once during his depressed era he went on a rampage to enter the Band of Smiles. He still deeply regrets doing that. As far as he’s concerned, the “monsters” are just fellow creatures of the island, all beings beloved by the goddess, trying to survive just like he is. He seems to have a magical protection from them, so he’s never seen them as a threat.

Maya: She doesn’t feel any particular way about it. If it involved more skill, she’d probably enjoy doing it. As it stands, the monsters are nothing but an obstacle to her goals, and will be removed as such. She does think the Band of Smiles is weird for apparently viewing the monsters as actual threats.

Clementine: If she ever knew there were monsters, she would literally never go to the caverns. She’s already so scared of bugs, you think she could handle giant caterpillars and wasps?? She would 100% throw up at the sight of an ogre with a giant meat stick. So the goddess basically went, you know what? Let’s just skip that offering for now. And magically, Clementine can’t see any monsters!

Diving:

Morimiya: He used to view it about the same as mining, but with the satisfaction of healing the island. Then he got trapped in the merfolk kingdom for half a season and got severe PTSD, so now he’ll only go down there if Absolutely necessary for the farm, or island improvement.

Maya: Underwater is so weird. Land-legs are better. It was great when there was the challenge of clearing up all that trash, but now it’s just. Meh.

Clementine: UNDERWATER IS THE BEST THING EVER!!! Clementine never feels more herself than when she’s completely submerged. She totally cried when she got her tail, and if the merfolk would just talk to her she’d never ever leave. But until then, she’s going to make her farm as much like underwater as she can.

Interacting with the Islanders:

Morimiya: He is genuinely interested in every single person on the island, and wants to know their whole life stories. He'll go out of his way to get people gifts and talk to them, and remembers every birthday.

Maya: Doesn't give a single bother about the townsfolk. They're all so weird, and take up her precious skill-building time. No, she is absolutely Not warming up to them!! She just Happens to occasionally have the perfect birthday gifts, and why wouldn't she give anyone who asks her opinion! Not her fault she has level 8 hearts with half the island...

Clementine: Islanders? Who? What? Anyway, when will the merfolk and underwater creatures finally talk to her-

I’ve talked so much about them on here, but it’s scattered, and quite a lot of it has evolved lore wise

So let’s make this that master post:

Basic lore for this universe:

Set in a non specific time of the Wild West (implied to be the tail end of the era)

But with a magical twist. The folklore of things that are not quite human living alongside humanity is real, and they are hunted for their skin. It is a known fact that shapeshifters exist, and they are illegal. Though some peoples “magic blood” don’t always show itself as Shapeshifting, it can also appear as accelerated healing or acute senses. These people are generally referred to as beasts or animals

These transformations are hard on “beasts,” they take up a lot of strength to preform them, and if you’re injured in one form, it can take time before you’re able to switch. If you’re injured enough it can be permanent.

Brunette: Flora Guerra

She was born to an Italian immigrant family with strict parents, as well as the youngest daughter to five other children. When she was 16, her parents arranged a courtship with a much older man. Flora was furious, this rage culminated in her first transformation, unfortunately this happened in front of the man as well as the rest of her family. They immediately turned their backs on her, disgusted with what she was. Terrified, she fled. She hopped on trains and resorted to petty theft to make her way west, to a land she hoped would be freer than the life she left behind!

Her first big brush with the law was when she stole her horse Bandit from a man who was treating him poorly. She fled the scene but only after shooting one officer. (Thus her first ever bounty was for murder)

Her main way of making money was seducing men and robbing them blind while they were distracted by her beauty, unfortunately she picked up the wrong trick one day, a notorious gang leader, who instead of shooting her outright, brought a then 17 year old Flora back to his gang. She became “his girl” and used her looks to help him get what he wanted.

In the gang, however, there was one man (Henry) who was like her! He could turn into a wolf, like how she could turn into a jackalope, they formed a bond, and when the gang fell apart, he was the one to get her out safely.

Ginger: Mattie (Matilda) Hayes

Mattie is the eldest daughter of her odd family. Her father and mother immigrated from Ireland. When mattie was a child, her and her brother (ben) witnessed the brutal murder of her mother while she was in beast form, protecting them. Because of this, Mattie became the sole caretaker of him, very much raising him herself. The entire family were beasts of some sort.

Mattie could turn into a fox from a young age. Ben also started to transform around the same time. (Though he was a cougar)

Their father, was also odd, in more ways than just beastly. He was a sour old man with a mean streak, drink had a mighty hold on him. After an incident that broke the camels back, involving hateful words and a smashed beer bottle, Mattie had enough. In a fit of rage she set fire to her father’s barn, in the aftermath She packed her bags and set to leave. She tried to get Ben to come, but he refused and told her to never come back. So she listened.

At 18, her and her horse June travelled the desert, finding odd jobs, pulling off some robberies, and failing at pickpocketing, this left her with quite a price on her head.

After a couple years of travelling by herself, the way she preferred, she ran into Flora for the first time.

First meeting:

They met as their animals first, Mattie was trying to hunt Flora but got startled by her horns.

Later on, she was trying to rob a man on the side of the road. Only for Flora to swoop in at the last moment and get the trick instead. (By “saving” the man, but picking his wallet a moment later)

That night, Mattie was nursing her hurt ego by drinking her weight at a saloon, but alas she couldn’t even enjoy her whiskey in peace, when the woman who stole her prize sat down at the bar with her.

Pissed off Mattie tried to storm away but bumped into an angry drunk, this turned into a full on bar fight. Which Flora dragged her away from and offered to patch up her wounds

They stuck together after that. But didn’t become lovers till much later

Flora fell first, but Mattie fell harder.

Anyways main plot:

Word gets to Mattie that her father is dead, and her younger brother has resorted to a life crime. He is being set to hang once he’s caught. She sets out to find him.

Flora’s old gang has picked up on her location, and they are hunting her down. Scared for Mattie’s safety, she works with her Henry to figure out how to keep them off their trail.

The two of them have also been found out to be beasts by the law, so on top of being wanted because of their crimes, they are also being stalked by beast hunters.

Everything seems to be going okay, Mattie finds Ben, and together her and Flora help him get away from the noose, they look after him and bring them to their camp. They thought they were evading the hunters as well as the gang.

What they didn’t know was that Ben still held a grudge for Mattie leaving. He blames her for their father’s ultimate death.

He agreed to a deal with the hunters, his freedom for their heads. Because of his grudge, he went the extra step by involving Flora's old gang.

The hunters and the gang ambush them, Ben leading the way.

Flora gets injured during the fight in her human form. Ben nearly kills her.

The siblings go head to head in their beastly forms, and against all odds, the fox beats the lion, killing the last remaining member of her family. (In the end, Ben was in too deep. There was no way he was getting out of this alive, so he let her kill him)

Flora, incredibly injured, can not transform, and for reasons unknown to Mattie, she can not switch back.

Years pass, Flora has a limp that doesn’t go away. She is never able to be her animal again. And Mattie, well, she didn’t get too injured that day, though it seems like something broke inside because she lost her human form.

They move north together and live a peaceful life, even though it’s not quite normal. What with Mattie being a fox and all that.

A decade or so after everything, they’ve been out of the life for a long time, is when Mattie finally finds herself again. Though she’s very different to what she used to be, her human form had changed, more fox like and more wild, though still her. She can only take that form for bits at a time, but it’s something. They’re happy

Ayyye I get to share my guys!

Enjar is aro ace, always has been! He’s also experimenting with his gender more, and still identifies as a man, but does maybe like the idea of using he/they pronouns at some point, he isn’t quite sure yet.

Cody is ace too, and on the aro spectrum somewhere but he doesn’t quite know where.

Cameron is bisexual and is dating Roman, who is gay.

Keh-yah like all demons of his kind, is non-binary and aro ace. He prefers using he/him pronouns and his “default” form is an masc one, but he’s perfectly happy presenting as female, androgynous, hell if he wants to he could be a floating eyeball. The other demons all had a variety of gender presentations and Keh-yah is no exception. He’s not really gender fluid, at least not in his opinion, but there are some days where he just decides he wants tits and/or no dick.

As for side characters:

Darren and Dan from Cody’s stories are a gay couple. Vanessa is also queer but refuses to define it, but she leans more toward the lesbian/maybe bi label. She’s not really sure.

Nathaniel from Keh-yah’s story is gay.

Johaan, the lighthouse keeper before Enjar, and Enjar’s mentor is pan. He and his wife had some wild nights together with other men in their youth. (I can’t wait to write the Johaan stories istg that man is wild)

Shae from Cam and Ro’s stories is dating a non-binary person. They use they/them pronouns now, but did use he/they and he/him at one point, and is partial to trying she/her but doesn’t really vibe with it. I’m hoping to maybe write their transition into the background of the story idk.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m an enby aro ace and love writing a variety of representations, but in particular aro ace rep. I don’t see it enough, so I wanna make it myself! :D happy June to all of you whumpy people!

This little NPC is lost. The Narrator [Black] has come to guide her back to where she needs to be. [Blank Scripts AU]

I imagine Black would be a lot more tolerant toward his NPCs since they're basically just the Dungeons spawns, and by extension, his own creations.

[If you're familiar with manhwas / manhuas that features the dungeon / system genre, you'd be able to understand this AU a lot easier. The majority of my inspiration for worldbuilding came from those specific genres.]

[NOTE: 'Dungeon' is just another term for the Parable. Technically, Black owns a Dungeon and the Parable is just a small part of it. The Dungeon itself is much, much larger.]

For context, the comic below references this post about the Dungeon's children/guard dogs.

[They're more like the immune system since all they do is make sure the (body) is safe.]

[The reason the Narrator [Black] considers them his children is that the Dungeon is feeding off his energy and in turn shares the 'nutrients' to the monsters it produces, which transforms them into an image that resembles his power.]

Joseph is NOT AN NPC! He is a person who exists outside of the Dungeon!

[There are two separate 'worlds' for this AU. Inside the Dungeon (where most of the game-like stuff is happening) and the world outside (pretty much their normal world.)]

[There is a secret third world, and that's our world. Our reality.]

These characters are not actually important or anything, I just made them to make the AU feel more lively. To make a world that exists, you know?

When the Narrator [Black] first established himself in their world, he found a growing problem with homelessness. Not understanding human norms or why this has become a problem in the first place, he offers (tricks) them into working for him as janitors for the Dungeon and they accept for the money.

Most of them left after they got paid, but Joseph was one of the people who stayed. He doesn't have anywhere else to go and has no ambitions in life. He just wishes to live a peaceful life with food and a roof over his head.

Joseph defaults to referring to the Narrator [Black] with feminine terms due to his appearance despite his voice. The Narrator [Black] is not the type to care for such terms anyway so he doesn't care how other people refer to him as long as there's respect.

This post focuses more on the worldbuilding and background aspects of the AU! There are a lot more in store for the Blank Scripts AU, and I want to explore more on how the characters might interact with their surroundings and how this would work to make a world that makes sense.

It would be so cool if people made self-inserts or OCs for my AU actually. I'd love to see how you guys would work with my stuff. Play around with it like a barbie world for your little barbie dolls. Be canon compliant, be canon divergent, who cares, have fun.

So recently I've been dabbling into some old MLP:FIM next gen stuff, and figured I'd post some art here!

Some juicy lore for my next gen universe:

This takes place a bit after season 9, after other creatures start integrating more into pony society thanks to the school of friendship, tensions grow amongst the community--

Tensions only grow worse when the magic starts to die, spells are harder to cast in some areas, Pegasus city's start to lower-- and all blame is put onto the creatures, although mostly at Fluttershy and Discords runaway boy, Mephistopheles (I'll post more about him later lol) who's been causing chaos all over Equestria.

But is he, or any of the creatures to blame?

Friendship is magic, and if there is no friendship, what becomes of that?

Born an earth pony, Sirius struggles with self identity and where her life will lead--

Daughter of an alicorn princess and powerful wizard and they can't even cast a single spell? What a joke..

Seeing her plights and woes, her parents try and find ways to help, and end up hearing of a researcher by the name of Moonshine, who claims to have harnessed the ability to cast spells despite not being a unicorn. (Also will post more about him later)

They meet and end up arranging for him to be Sirius's teacher, hoping she'll be able to master his techniques and finally find happiness and fulfillment.

Cram is an intelligent, sometimes crazy, harsh but caring inventor and scientist. Unfortunately, he went blind 10 years ago due to an acid poured into his eyes by accident.

Bailey is a sweet, loving, and smart journalist. She has anxiety disorder, who then passed it down to Snorpy. It's not as bad as his son's, but it is still an obstacle in his life.

When the siblings were young, Cram pressured them into having excellent skills and to be the best. Snorpy somewhat distanced himself from his dad, while Floofty pressures themselves to get to his standards, but never succeeds.

Bailey has a great relationship with her kids, and always thrilled to see them. He was their emotional support and was there when Cram got too harsh. Bailey knows that her husband is only trying to help their children to be successful, but he knows that Cram's behavior didn't help.

They have a healthy marriage. While with their ups and downs, they are happy together.

Chandlo is pretty much part of their family now, since him and Snorpy have known eachother for many years. When they were teenagers, Cram didn't like Chandlo at all. ☄️Comet relationship with his favourite auntie: Stick the badger🪵

Comet got a lot of insecurities. Most being link to his lack of powers.

With both of his father being super hedgehog, being born a completely normal mobian was- unexpected?

So- who better to teach him the power or « normal mobian » better then Stick! Stick taught Comet to crawl way before the common newborn would- she taught him to climb, to use his claws, his teeth properly!

Tho not as good as her when in come to hang out from trees- he’s still value her lesson and her crazy antic. Whenever life began to get too hard or crazy, comet would often run away to pass a few days with his favorite auntie💖⭐️✨☄️
